Manually delete all your posts, that's possible, but might take you days, if you made posts in sections that have cool down sessions.

Or convince the admin to delete your posts: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=help;page=profile#actions-admins

Or you know, just leave without caring about your account.
782  Other / Meta / Re: Duplicate (own) posts on: August 08, 2018, 02:24:27 PM
I don't know about perma ban, but temp ban should be for sure. Threads for these types of posts aren't really required. One or two reports should be enough(ask the mod to check post history and explain it clearly what the guy is doing in the report paragraph).

Plagiarism.

Copy:
Airdrops is a free program of an ICO project. it is no wonder if there are many airdrops that ultimately do not produce. Especially seeing this condition is quite different from when the birth of crypto. The longer you get, the more you know it, the more difficult it will be to find a lot of airdrops.

Damn you, you beat me to it.

784  Economy / Reputation / Re: LoyceV's reputation thread (with a guestion for the community) on: August 07, 2018, 10:39:51 PM
In regards to your positive trust policy, I would suggest that you not give a positive rating for every transaction you are involved in. If you risked money in a transaction (intentionally or not), you should leave a positive rating. If you have traded with someone many times (either directly or as an escrow agent), and the person acts professional and otherwise appears trustworthy, you may want to consider leaving a positive rating— you need to use good judgment in these cases, and you should be confident this person is not trading with you to get a trust rating.

I agree with this; the people who took part in your 10 person experiment did not do anything notably trustworthy.
Although one could argue with that by saying that the people who involved with Loyce here trusted him with their money for 10 whole months, and that sometimes is considered to be a fact,after all it is a trust system. The amount involved was fairly small, but nonetheless, I don't think anything would be wrong in giving those people a positive trust.

It has been banned for ever.

And does your "friend" also admit to committing plagiarism?
although he has a lot of posts of the last is the baunty reports.
Baunty lol. Word on the streets is that this is the new shit that has been released on this forum. Oh well.
786  Other / Meta / Re: Cannot Merit a Post on: August 07, 2018, 09:21:02 PM
I kind of had the same problem and made a thread about it a few months ago.  I never figured out what the problem was.  Some people found out they could merit it, but I wasn't able to.
Problem was given by theymos in your topic itself..:

Quote from: theymos
Permissions and ignored-boards can also cause info to be missing per-user. In this case I think that it happened because The Pharmacist is ignoring the board in which that post resides.

The ignored-boards page says, "Be advised that by ignoring a board it will be completely inaccessible to you." How it works is that almost all forum systems view you as being not allowed to see the board, just like hidden boards. This is also why you can't quote a post in an ignored board.

Ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3369731.msg35345872#msg35345872

I think that is the issue faced by Vod and KWH.
787  Other / Meta / Re: Cannot Merit a Post on: August 07, 2018, 09:14:31 PM
You don't need to actually click the send merit button... if it allows to enter a value it works.

I simply get the error I can't send merit with no text box and no button.
Is it still happening?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4840926.msg43672832#msg43672832

I wanted to send the translator a few merits, I got the error that I could not merit this post!

I've only seen that error on Anonymous posts before - why am I blocked for meriting this post?

This is weird.. I without problems sent Merit on this post  Smiley
Yeah, can confirm that. I sent a merit too. No issues with that.
789  Other / Meta / Re: Are patrollers still a thing? on: August 07, 2018, 10:35:51 AM
Quote
If you're on forum staff then you will get paid. It's wouldn't be anywhere near a full time wage but a very active patroller can expect around $550. theymos is also thinking about badges as a reward for high reporters though.

That can be the end goal for the Patrollers, Just like I suggested after a specific amount of approvals/reports theymos should consider them adding on the forum staff. This will serve as a monetary incentive they could have one day. Talking about $550 it's still more than any campaign except for chip mixer and I imagine the campaign rates will only go down further. Also, 550$ is still more than a salary of a teacher in Developing countries so that's that.
550$ is also less than a average rent rate for a studio flat in the US. Also theymos doesn't care a lot about money, he could actually increase the salary/wage of the staff. Mods deserve more than just 500-1000$ per month.

Patrollers are enough for now I guess, reports are usually handled quickly. Some staff might be required in un modded boards. Otherwise for now we are good.
790  Other / Meta / Re: Most active user / Board on: August 06, 2018, 11:05:03 PM
I think its a little hard to find out what you're asking. Individual stats page are disabled so.. Theymos can provide data like that,but by normal users, I am not so sure on that.
791  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: August 06, 2018, 09:47:51 PM
Number 578, not too bad. My quest for world domination is making good progress.

For your next project how about a ranking list based on the cumulative number of their thread views? Would be interesting to see who has racked up the most thread views.

For each member you could also calculate their discussion power by dividing the cumulative thread comments into cumulative thread views. This could also be used to catch thread boosters, any suspicious member with too high a ratio might warrant further investigation.
Top 10 most viewed threads:

To make things easier, go to each board, and sort them out based on views. For example:

792  Other / Meta / Re: All bounty hunters are from Philippines?? (PROOF) on: August 06, 2018, 03:27:03 PM
Hey, don't be so harsh on the Filipino people. I know more than a few Filipinos IRL , and they are genuinely nice people. They aren't like the Americans or you know like the..Irish(known to swear a lot). They are sweet people and happy with what they have. Most of them don't have the "Hey, I am asshole" type of attitude.

The reason why these people come to join bounties, is that they don't get decent jobs, as in people undervalue and underestimate them a lot. They get paid like 800-1000$ per month, after working their asses off. Most of them usually work in places like McDonalds, and mainly be cashiers and jobs like that. Now, I haven't been to Philippines but there are lot of them in the country I reside in. So I am saying all this from what I have seen. Just to be clear, I am not a Filipino.

Also know that, there are a few contributors from Philippines here: theyoungmillionnaire,Silent26, rickbig41 , dabs,etc.

I guess it depends on how they get paid, whether it's in tokens or bitcoin.  There are still a number of bitcoin-paying campaigns that pay fairly well and that still accept lower-ranked members.  If it's an altcoin bounty and they pay out a decent amount of tokens AND if the token doesn't go to zero as soon as it's launched, they can make quite a bit.  Plus from what I've seen, there are more parts of the bounty (signature campaign, FB & Twitter campaigns, and translations) AND more bounties to enter.  There was one bounty hunter who made a scam accusation not too long ago who said he was scammed out of well over $1000 worth of tokens that he was due for a month's work (can't remember the exact amount), and that was just from one bounty.
People have earned like 200,000$ and more of just one bounty by abusing them.

The point is, the amounts aren't really small.  Certainly not pennies.  Look at how much Chipmixer pays for the maximum of 50 posts/week.  It's a fantastic way to earn some bitcoin, and if you lived in a poor area you could probably live on it, assuming the price of bitcoin doesn't tank.  If I had alt accounts in other campaigns, I could very easily meet all my monthly financial obligations (though I do live like an hermit-aesthete and don't have many expenses).  It's crazy if you think about it, but it's true.

And no, I don't think most bounties are hard to join.  If they were, there wouldn't be so many damn shitposters on bitcointalk.  That point should be self-evident.
People can pay their college tuition off just by being in chipmixer(30,000$ is the average). So imagine. Its fucking crazy. Never thought you could accomplish all your dreams just by shitposting in bounties.

We don't deserve this world.  Embarrassed

I've been posting in forums for over 20 years, and so far I have never rented my signature. I've promoted a variety of products with affiliate links, but these have all been services that I've used, and that I know are honest. By promting a site or product in your signature, you are hanging your reputation on it, and I believe you should research the product before you take the risk.

and I've had several offers over the years, including some in this forum. So far I have declined all of them.
This is somewhat untrue. Nobody would care about anybody's reputation after a certain point. Ref links are almost the same as signatures. You're promoting a company either way. And promoting doesn't necessarily mean to destroy your reputation, there's nothing wrong with it. There are members who don't have any signatures but still have a bad reputation. Point is, if you're genuine person, you don't have to worry about a signature changing your reputation, what you do and say is what actually affects it. And the reputation stays in and only in the forum and not in your real life.

If anyone does (death threats) then what will be the consequence?

The offending post would be deleted, and I guess in this case nothing would happen because it's not even a post.

This should be deleted then...

if i know where you are right now i would put a bullet in your head....
Another death thread. @theymos, mprep, hilariousetc, Vod and others - do we accept it? If we do then we are encouraging death threads which does not feel good.
I think people are banned if they make death threats. Just report it, since it is against the rules:

8. No threats to inflict bodily harm, death threats.

Edit: Looks like the post is deleted already.  Undecided
794  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust Calculation on: August 06, 2018, 02:12:59 PM
While I had created this topic I have mentioned I have tried to find out but could not find out calculation system. So, I do not need to know how to search as I already know. I need to know how to calculate. If you know then you can reply. If you don't know then no problem.
This should do:

The trust score numbers are now slightly different:
- The first number is the trust score.
- The second number is the number of unique users who have given that person negative feedback.
- The third number is the number of unique users who have given that person positive feedback.
- The fourth number was removed.

I also completely changed the trust score algorithm to this:
Code:
if there are no negative ratings
score = 0
for each rating, oldest to newest
if this rater has already been counted
continue
score += min(10, round_up(months since rating))
else
score = unique_positive - 2^(unique_negative)
if score >= 0
start_time = time of first negative
score = unique_positive since start_time - unique_negative since start_time
if(score < 0)
return ??? (orange)

move score to range [-9999,9999]
return score

This algorithm is a little slower than the previous one. Post here if you think you see extra slowness due to this change. Maybe I need to add extra caching to compensate.

Also post here if someone has a trust score that seems wrong.

I was going to change it so that everyone with 0 trust had orange trust, but I decided that this looked bad and changed it back.

Trust system is a little complicated to understand first, so you're not the only one who thinks that. There were different versions of trust system, and different types of it too. I believe these were the ones:

- Scammer(alert) system(?)

- Old Scammer Tag

- Default Trust part 1(before the algorithm change).

- Default Trust part 2
795  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone is using yahoo62278 name to spread spam/phishing on: August 05, 2018, 03:29:16 PM
No, I dont have any other account.
Maybe the PM got deleted by a mod? Doesn't look like a fake email, otherwise, he wouldn't have put yahoo's fake PM inside a quote and it wouldn't say "by Fourge".
Mods can't delete PMs unless reported,I guess. And the email isn't associated to OP's bitcointalk account.

I didnt get any PM, just the email claiming that a PM was sent. But the email was sent to en email address that is not associated with my BTT account.
Perhaps someone else used that email of yours in their bitcointalk account? Or email was fake,but it doesn't look like it.
796  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone is using yahoo62278 name to spread spam/phishing on: August 05, 2018, 10:57:46 AM
I havent, I havent reported anyone since I dont have proof who sent the message. I havent received anything here over PM. An admin will probably take a look and decide what to do.
I have PMed yahoo62278 just so that he knows that someone is mentioning his name in connection to this.

Topic belongs in Reputation,move it there.

Did you get the PM by Fourge or not? Use Report to Admin(select hilariousandco preferably), to verify the authenticity.
797  Other / Meta / Re: Why aren't obvious scammers banned? on: August 04, 2018, 04:12:45 PM
Forum doesn't moderate scams. Its up to each individual to determine if a person is going to scam or not. The forum doesn't act as a judge,jury or executioner.
798  Other / Meta / Re: Most new accounts do not contribute anything on: August 03, 2018, 11:59:25 PM
I see there is deleted profiles number, how you able to tell that? profile page is no longer accessable?
I think theymos addressed this, and said that they were skipped randomly before(by accident).

Source:

In the forum's first couple of years, accounts would sometimes be deleted. Also, in rare cases an ID can be skipped (eg. if a database transaction gets rolled back).

Edit:
Plagiarism etc can be easily handled due to the smaller numbers compared to accounts that just joined to get rich...

Finding posts that have used text spinners are hard, and its only possible if someone reads the entire mega thread with a shitload of shitposts.  Undecided They are handled only if they are reported.
799  Other / Meta / Re: Most new accounts do not contribute anything on: August 03, 2018, 11:41:49 PM
These new accounts can possibly even mean nuked accounts, right? While,I am seeing a lot of accounts being created and never being used, I don't see any reason for it.

This is a GOOD sign.  Before merit introduction, most of these profiles were making garbage posts.

We just need to wait until all the shitposter sMerit has been used up.  Then there will be NO incentive and no forum posts about bitcointalk being a "lottery win".
Actually, after the merit system,I see a lot of plagiarism, use of text spinners and what not. so...
800  Other / Meta / Re: Application for a merit source on: August 03, 2018, 11:38:31 PM
I'm not Theymos but kindly permit me to drill you a little... Roll Eyes . If you became a merit source what would be the highest merits you could award? Do you think any post deserves as much as 50 merits? Would you award such huge amount of merits to a post you might consider the most appropriate in your opinion?
Deserves 50 merits, perhaps,its subjective. But will I gift 50 merit in one go? Almost never. I'll keep my high merit capacity to like 10. Giving merit to each post, is totally based on each person's opinion,so I wouldn't comment on that.
