781  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is marriage a kind of punishment? on: August 21, 2020, 03:53:04 PM
I am working on an article on relationships and marriages. In my part of the world marriage feels like punishment on the female gender. In the days of old as I learnt, it was the responsibility of the man to provide and protect the family but in today’s society, men relax and have the women do almost everything. I observed this most in Nigeria or African. women grow old faster once married. I take instances from my neighbours, family and the society. The man on any day wakes up, take his bath, dress up, eat and off to work if he has one. The woman is the cook, launder, housekeeper, nanny, hand lady, errand girl, cleaner, and she must be working etc. just name it and she must not complain, she must not be tired. For real this is happening don’t think am just assuming. I see it live. Why is it so? I once asked a man in this case, why he maltreats his wife like a slave and he said no reasonable man is allowed to do house chores or assist in anything. The work of the man is to bring money that’s all. Can this be true?  Will you like your sisters, daughters, neighbours, friend  be treated badly in the name of marriage? Let’s talk. No abuses or insult please. I need soul lifting contribution.

The problems you talk about are real. The reasons for them are several.

The woman was made by God to be the helper for the man. That's why she is out there doing all the errands she does for the man. It's also why she allows herself to get into positions of overwork. It's in her nature to help the guy.

Everybody likes riding high. Because of this, the man forgets the hard labor that the woman is doing. It shouldn't be this way. But it happens. To make it worse, often the man has a mean streak.

The man should be loving and considerate, and help the woman. If he is, he finds that the woman (usually) will help him all the more. But guys are stupid in this way, much of the time.

Guys need to remember than they will lose their strength and get old sometime. They will need children to help support them. Women bear the children and do much of the raising of the children. Since mom is loved greatly by the children, it will be to dad's benefit to treat mom right. Then the kids won't be against dad. Rather, they will help him in his old age, just like they learned from mom to do while they were in their formative years. After all, kids might love their dads. But they won't be so happy with him if he doesn't treat mom right.

Cool

It all depends how the mom will raise the kids.  There are kids that will kill thier parents all for insurance, tis been happenning every time. I would rather be alone and old in the Retirement house than living with kids that you know will slit your with just one signal from their mother.

You know what makes hell for a family?  Its the in-laws.

782  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: August 21, 2020, 03:42:32 PM
The Chinese are very good at building the economy into social manipulation. The Chinese are many and they are very united to become a network. They have different ways of economic development, they are closely organized together.
The belt and road initiative was theirs, and they stuck smaller countries into debt by lending them money. China's debt recovery is difficult and they ask to be exchanged by renting an area for 50 years-100 years. This happened in African countries. I think they will let their people travel the world and gradually take over the world.

The one belt and one road initiative is actaully one of the impressive things they are planing and its gradually making sense now. Its like building the Silkroad again and all the countries where this road goes are going to benefit including the cointries in UK as its where its going. This is why they are making friends with the countries there including the countries in Africa.

If China can make it, so are the countries where this road is built.

783  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 21, 2020, 03:32:04 PM

Actually the interest asked by China is very little compare to the interest when Phlippines ask loan from US.

But since the time of the previous 3 presidents in the Philipines, we already have huge debts from China. This is why The previous administrations had a deal with China about the isles in the exclusive economic zone (EEZ). The Chinese won't be going there if they have not been dealing way before the current president, in fact US didn't fight for Philipines because of that.

This "Made in Philipines Province in China" normally is a diversion of the Yellow Liberals when they are about to get busted with PhilHealth Issues.
784  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think Warren Buffett will change his mind about bitcoin? on: August 20, 2020, 07:31:49 PM
It matters I guess because some want him to realize BTC is not "rat poison squared"

If you are used to investing shares, you are likely to want more than just a thousand shares but will prefer 100K or so. IF warren will invest to BTC, he'd probably buy to a hundred thousand. So if he buys later when the price is $50k, its just going to make him look a fool. He wouldn't want that. He'd wait till the price dips again. But I hope it won't.

785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which website do you usually go to get your news and casino reviews? on: August 20, 2020, 06:22:17 PM
Besides it doesn't really make a lot of sense to look for casino reviews over the Internet when we know that review sites have the tendency to accept money to give a good review and the moment that happens that review site becomes completely useless as it has betrayed its own reason to exist, if people want to find out if a cryptocurrency casino is any good or not then they need to come to this forum and read real reviews by real people that are not being paid by casinos.
In reality people searches on the google most of the time by this they will get those paid reviewing websites in the top results so people are going to trust their rating and will play on it but one who is smart enough will search on the public forums.
Unfortunately this is one of the main reasons why people keep getting scammed by casino owners with no conscience, it is important that if you are going to relinquish the control of your coins to a casino or to an online wallet that you investigate to the best of your ability that service because as we know once your coins leave your wallet you have no control over them and you will need that the casino in which you are depositing your coins is a honest one so you know that you will get your coins back.

This is if the casino review website ranked up on results when searching for the gambling site. Most of the time they don't really rank up particularly for crypto casinos, they don't rank up but bitcointalk threads are the first to appear on searches when googled.

This is why bitcointalk threads are just playing big role in preventing casino scams so if the threads are full of data and updated with their scam spree then th e scam casino will not be able to scam in the future.
786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: JustBet - Where Everyone is a WINR - IEO on BitMart - $28K Hard Cap on: August 20, 2020, 05:52:23 PM

Casinos like this are becoming very common on EOS and TRX platform where they distribute dividends to stakers of their native token and in this JUST.bet its their WINR tokens.

Did they mention about their soft cap?
I have read the website and whitepaper but can't find softcap information, it looks like they don't have softcap and maybe they already have some funds from investors they have now https://extrawatts.co/ and https://www.bxtb.net/

These two are the only clue behind this project, they are listed as Investors on the website and there's also https://labs.solutions, bitmart for thier IEO and plair.gg as partners.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nitrogen casino glitch on: August 20, 2020, 05:04:26 PM

How long have you been withdrawing BTC from nitro out of this glitch?

Congrats for having profited from it. Nitro should have listened to you when but if they did not then probably you haven't withdraw enough to get their attention. For if they have, they'd be asking your KYC before freezing your account. This glitch could be easily seen by an impatient gambler who are eager to get even but you are the first to have come out.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Buy Bitcoin Cheaper on: August 19, 2020, 07:03:18 PM

You'd be lucky if you can pick a price lower than the market price. P2P doesn't mean the coins and tokens there are cheap, its how the sellers are going to put sell order, no different form the CEX.  If I sell my BTC, why would I sell it for a cheaper price?  If you wanna buy cheaper BTC, then trade on BTC/USDT. It just needs waiting for dips. Easier said than done though.
789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (DEFI) YAM! YAM! YAM! a scam? on: August 19, 2020, 05:02:04 PM
You are being dishonest calling it a scam, this is an open source project ....
Was the code open source when they launched it? If it was, there's a high chance that the bug could have been discovered earlier.

Quote
I won't blame the developers for this because he said the it is possible their is a bug in it from the get go, but I will blame the greediness of people that think the can ignore all the due diligence and get away with it..
Wait what? How could you not blame the developers when they are the ones responsible for all the coding? Codebase aren't born like babies with defects.

If it was open source and allowed developers to find bugs and investigate its code, the dumping of YAM might not ever happen. None of us can tell whether the team did it on purpose for early check out but this sure isn't a victimless crime. Money is lost from invetors because they are careless in launching a product. Its a scam and the crooks are going to blame the line of codes to get away with it. Yaaam!

790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi coins have turn the market into confusion on: August 19, 2020, 04:47:26 PM

The Defi projects made them money by lending and doing so made people invest because they can also make money. With this enough motivation to hype, there is no doubt that they will also be jumping into these projects and even trading those Defi tokens is worth doing. If they were listed by big exchanges, it must be worth investing.

The Defi platforms is a lot more confusing though. I have tried Aave for once and I got lost easily thinking only the best minds can learn how it would work.  Grin

791  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will Dex's Dominate the Cex's in near future? on: August 18, 2020, 04:57:04 PM
Honestly I'm not getting how those so-called decentralized exchanges are decentralized.

What most really should bill themselves as is non custodial which is very important too but I doubt they think it looks as impressive.

For true decentralisation they need to leave domain names and hosting behind and switch to something on chain. Even then since most wallets are running off someone else's node you still might have sticky moments.

As far as I know they can leave domains after all they do have Apps for IOS and android just like bitsdaq and blocknet they can leave domains because they can be installed locally. Its hard for them to be located by users though if they won't have a webpage.
The projects in the past run like this back in the days where only wallets are to be downloaded from megaupload links.
792  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chainlink is a shitcoin and will dump to zero on: August 18, 2020, 03:23:42 PM

We all are waiting for its dump like right now its price dip which is a good entry point.

Many would have also joined the fud if you just are being creative in adding the reason why it will be dumped. The old trick for weak hands to dump are just few threads in the forum that will explain why it will be dumped or perhaps the possibility of scam. OP's enthusiasm is still there though, yo can do it.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 DeFi projects on: August 18, 2020, 03:15:52 PM
Why is YAM on that list OP? That project is nonsense and needed to be stay away from, id replace YAM with Oikos Project and DIA DeFi project, they are both better than YAM and Chainlink is even better too and deserve a position in the list

It must be from dappradar but try going to this CMC page because Yam isn't on top. https://coinmarketcap.com/defi/  DIA is listed on on CMC but not found in the list.

Its an early warning to investors abut Defi projects that can suddenly turn scam like YAM. Some explanations I've read was that there was just a bug discovered that made investors dumped the token from $150+ down to $1. Such a loss if you bought YAM at its early launch and had not sold.
794  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Trump decision to exit Paris accord actually hurt US economy?. on: August 18, 2020, 09:10:46 AM

There were people who reviewed this Paris dealing and they were saying this dealing isn't going to make the country productive and industrialize. This dealing will prevent a country to have factories to manufacture products because of the allowed gas emissions.

China had been violating this dealing but they can't just prevent the country so why not just manufacture like how China did and make America great again and bring jobs back to the locals.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 18, 2020, 06:46:50 AM
We do need to buy VR products for it right?  Because I use to plan to buy one back in the days for porn.

VR casinos would be a testing ground for kids to probably start doing it before going to traditional casinos. It would be a lot impressive for them to finally experienced it when they finally 18.  I use to think VR will be best for adult entertainment that I will definitely spend thousands to get my hands of it. But it's not available in my country.

796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 17, 2020, 08:30:48 PM

Having kids in the environment not fit for them is always not good epsecially casinos.

While I approve the age restrictions as it is known that your brain is not fully formed until your mid-20s, this means a kid and anyone underage is not ready to take responsible decisions with their money and they need to be restricted to get access to casinos.

In the case of physical casinos this is very easy to do as you could ask people to show you an identification in the case they seem to be too young to be there, but when it comes to online casinos this gets more complex, many fiat casinos allow you to play without forcing you to go through KYC and they only do that once you try to cash out, this allows minors to gamble all they want as long as they do not want to withdraw and when you add cryptocurrencies to the mix this seems like one of those issues that has no easy solution.

Gambling and not withdrawing doesn't make sense. No one wants to come up empty.

But yes its always going to be complicated for an online casino to check their users. Minors can just use anyone's ID especially if the system doesn't use sophisticated AI that wil check faces and documents.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC looking for more tools to track crypto on: August 17, 2020, 07:55:22 PM
I wish the SEC good luck. Technologies is changing faster than regulators can keep up.
Of course technologies are changing, but in terms of cryptocurrencies, even if another cryptocurrency that is better than Bitcoin should be released, people will still be using Bitcoin because that is what they prefer, and Bitcoin is more easy to trace than others. When politicians and officials of such a regulatory authorities understand about bitcoins, then they might be approving bitcoin for ETF.

they are probably looking to buy some smart contract or blockchain analysis tool to help them track those illegal activities (non-registration) or even more. Obviously, they want to follow every trail specially for big companies involved like exchanges.

With my small knowledge on bitcoin and crypto space's core concepts, I believe only transactions are traceable and not the mapping of addresses to individuals/corporate. So, I'm not sure what kind of tool, those SEC people are actually looking for.

They will catch up to the technology. If transactions is traceable then they are going ot make sure they are going make use of this blockchain properties. IRS will also be tracing and if the exchanges will handout the accoutns details to them, its likely that we are going to see jail time for some of us.

Its the times like we want transparency for all and now that government will use this transparency we are about to flee away  Grin
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos to surge in German market? on: August 17, 2020, 07:37:49 PM

Its always been in my mind that paypal doesn't allow casinos. I did not know that is processing in Germany.

Based, on the article the government of Germany has imposed these restrictions, for gamblers, to discourage going to illegal casino sites.
It's good that cryptocurrencies are highlighted as new solution to this, but if affiliated with those considered as illegal it might still eliminated by the government.
But if it will be allowed with the regulated casino sites, it will be another huge stepping stone for cryptocurriencies. I hope for the best.

True! If illegal casino owners adopt cryptocurrency just to bypass the regulations, it will earn bad names for cryptos and consumer interests will not be protected. German government may impose some severe punitive measures on the top of the existing legislation.

So even if it looks rosy from the outside but may mot be as rosy as it seems from the inside!

The government will do whatever they need to do. If its the only way for them to collect tax from the casinos that suddenly uses cryptocurrencies, they wil crack them down. But they should also provide a solution like giving them license to operate under crypto law if they have that already since Germany is known to have adopted BTC.
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 17, 2020, 07:22:42 PM
As practice shows, government agencies are absolutely indifferent to the effectiveness of their work - so you think about such details, but those who promote such regulation do not. That is why I am in favor of reducing government regulation in all areas (and in gambling too), since it is ineffective.
Of course the government can do it, but they dont want to change the rules they have made. Many rules from all lines of government must be changed, but who cares. People are those who have to comply with government regulation and anyone who violates them will be sanctioned. I would also argue that if thats for the best, reducing the rules might be a socially acceptable solution.

This is the main problem of officials/bureaucracy in any country and system of government: in the end, they are only interested in people needing them. In fact, they are interested in creating problems that can be solved only with their help.
And this is because most people do not really care about the results either, whenever a new law is passed in my country I have the tendency to talk about that with my friends and for the most part most laws that are passed today do not really solve anything, however government officials need to do something or they are going to look useless to the public and then they pass a bunch of useless laws that only increase the price for compliance and reduces the liberties of their citizens, but when I talk about this with my friends they do not get it, they only look at the good intentions of the government regardless of the results.

Well gamblers losing  £100/month is going to make them useful when all those goes in to the right project that will also be useful for the people.

Nope, its not like your friends didn't get it. They just knew that talking politics always end up to an arguement and then possibly brawling or worse. I once talked to my in-laws about politics and after one of them shouted. I never engage to them again. Even avoid them anymore.

The reminder that Defi will be used by scammers soon will seem to come sooner than we thought.
