1781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coinexchange.io is Closing Down. Official announcement. on: October 01, 2019, 04:23:49 PM

No alibis no nothing sort of a bankrupt declaration. So at least they just decide to close and registered users know unlike the cryptopia who somehow made a buzz and then room for speculations were they got millions for the security breach. Allowed users to still trade and then announce a new management will take over but suddenly close without notice

1782  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Cryptocurrency at blockchain] simula ng mass adoption? on: October 01, 2019, 03:37:12 PM

1783  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Hodl & Win with Swym on: October 01, 2019, 02:56:59 PM

I thought it read Hold your WIN tokens with SWYM.

My thoughts were either a gambling project or a tron wallet but totally a different thing after reading tis few details.  There is no assurance for the project to even provide for the winners if those who loan just walk away. You can't force anyone who borrows money and then pay on time when you demand.
1784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum computers on: October 01, 2019, 12:56:45 PM

They claimed to have it existed already. Someone out there with amount of money they got probably have bought and tried experimenting it with blockchain or perhaps attempt to distrupt BTC or tried mining BTC using this Quantum computers. But since we haven't seen anyone sharing information about his adventure, I guess it isn't design to beat anything than just an upgrade of Windows.

1785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news form North Korea on: September 30, 2019, 08:23:11 PM

Not really something you would believe, this is NORTH KOREA we are talking here. The sick Kim Jong-un there must have gone nuts if he allowed all these to happen. But if they are creating their own only which is created by their government for them to have more control over their people's wealth then it must be true.

Since the Venezuela's Petro news, there had been several countries also trying to see whether this blockchain currency will also be helpful to them. I think Venezuela's success will greatly influence more countries to follow.
1786  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Developments Can Put Bitcoin Upwards Again? on: September 30, 2019, 07:57:16 PM
Still boils down to the block halving. For now that is the only catalyst that I see that will really push the price. We don't need to inspire people to buy bitcoin. Sooner or later they will find how bitcoin is, the much touted and best speculative asset that we have right now.

Maybe we can look at LN though, if it can be adopted very quick then it could contribute to the price increase. However, it is still very slow process and it may take some time.

Yep That's what made investors madly buying BTC in 2017. There was an update about improving its privacy, I don't know if this can serve as catalyst that will pump its price but I think a lot will like it despite exchanges delisting privacy coins. We are talking BTC here so most of the time, its rare 21M supply matters already. The news that are to look up to would be from the outside its development such as adoption and perhaps the long awaited but not really exciting anymore - ETF  Grin
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: David Marcus, Coinbase CEO show supports for Facebook Libra on: September 30, 2019, 07:33:37 PM
The launching of Facebook stablecoin is getting support from prominent people in the crypto space, regulators have been teaming up in order to dissect Libra for everything it’s got since it will bring an end to all traditional money which is major concerns of some countries in the European soil such as France and Germany which has vowed to block their citizenship from using if later successfully launched. Would Facebook be successful on this mission that has attracted global critics? Rest of the story can be found here: https://cryptodaily.co.uk/2019/09/coinbase-ceo-show-support-facebooks-libra?utm_source=OneSignal&utm_medium=App
Wow! Prominent people against the government? Who do I think would win? but I think that it is prominent people because without Prominent people, there is no government, and government cannot fight them all because they have the money, they can only invite them for a chat and let them know the reason why they are not supporting Facebook Libra coin, which I am sure that Facebook will be doing the same too, so it seems that there is going to be a very long battle between Facebook and the government.

In the aspect of Facebook, Government of the United State will be careful in the way they also handle Facebook case because they know how much this company has generated so much for the US, and one reasons why the other countries may even be fighting Facebook is because they might feel it is a plot from the United states to use the currency in retaining world’s power.

The government will always win. Though they have money, they can't live without paying their taxes and no escape from KYC these days and facebook, may look like its not but its also controlled by the government like big brother does. The governments can use facebook to monitor people who engages in crypto.

That's really going to happen I remember the CEO of Binance giving negative comments about Libra Coin, so there's a possibility that they are not going to list Libra Coin and Coinbase is taking this opportunity by supporting Libra Coin, so expect cooperation between the two giants, it will be good for libra coin's entry.

Binance is up to make money and dominate the crypto, if they can make money out of listing listing Libra, they will do it. Its a matter of time til we see more people and countries supporting Libra and get launched.

1788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [news] Binance Launches Staking Platform with Support for 8 Cryptocurrencies on: September 30, 2019, 04:44:24 PM

Different opinions in the thread is here. On the other side its an opportunity for those who likes the lend and earn but its still really not a good idea for me to keep my coins by just staking it. Since you are just simply sending your coins to an exchange, better yet just trade with USD while its in dangered being in the exchange.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Errol Spence Jr. Vs Manny Pacquiao on: September 30, 2019, 04:31:50 PM
I would like to see that matchup, definitely, the living legend Manny Pacquiao can still compete with these current generation welterweights, as I can see in the in Spence vs Porter fight, he isn't that good as most of the fans say he is, Thurman is still above him in skill level in opinion.

True that. But this is something for himself, challenging a popular fighter will bring him to attention though. This could land him to another big fight before Pacquiao which a promoter will have to give him PR which will also be a good media appearances for both. Pacquiao is getting old and he will take fight whoever is there as well not just to please fans but also for his political career.
1790  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EOSBet.io - Licensed Casino Platform 🎲Provably Fair 🎲NOW ACCEPTING BTC ₿ on: September 30, 2019, 03:30:34 PM

If we take into account that prices in the market at this time are low, having accumulated EOS will be beneficial, even having Bitcoin on the platform may be better, the updates they have made and worked to provide a better service, I think the value of them will increase in the near future, I have personally bought some of the tokens, I guess the team will take into account the effort by the players who believe in their project and in the future they can give them some VIP memberships.
It is just a method of investment but we are focusing too much on the investment part, what about the gambling part?
I mean we are thinking about it as an investment and that is great, they have a section called dividends and they are after getting their casino known for it, however they have to promote their casino as well so the share holders could make more money.

Wouldn't you want to get 20+ even 50+ dollars per week for 10k bet tokens because people gamble a lot and lose a lot accordingly thanks to higher than normal house edge? I would love to but their casino part is not getting too much marketing. Their whole marketing so far has been "come here and lose money, we will give you bet token in return", they had nothing else on casino marketing part, maybe they should start a bit.

Getting less than $10 is somehow disappointing though. I have followed Bethash as well which for staking 10K HASH, you will be getting about 0.28EOS and all other coins as well. And true they should start a bit in their casino, Hilo is just not as attractive as we thought. DICE so far is what most are playing. Sportsbetting is great or blackjack which I sometimes play along with the marketing.

1791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Errol Spence Jr. Vs Manny Pacquiao on: September 30, 2019, 01:43:29 AM

Pacquiao is all for entertainment, he will fight whoever challenges so long as negotiations are done. However this fight may not really happen in US soil, it will have to be elswhere. Most probably here in the Philippines that is because US are about to bann people to enter US soil who are involved in jailing Senator Leila Delima and Pacquiao is one of them.
1792  Economy / Economics / Re: K-POP Company owners are joining the train hype of Cryptocurrency on: September 29, 2019, 06:24:40 PM
Well it seems this is an example of a good use case in the entertainment industry and once successfully implemented and steered in the right way, it could pave the way to more crypto exposure and adoption among South Koreans since they are well known to be enthusiastic and die hard followers in the entertainment industry thus the explosion of K-Pop generation. Smiley

K-Pop fans are everywhere and as many have said, they have large following already.
This is a good way to introduce crypto to younger generation as well.
As they can easily adopt to this kind of technology, it will help in the crypto adoption that we are aiming for.
I hope they have long-term plans for this kind of initiatives and not just because they want to join the bandwagon.

Kpop celebs may be popular and can promote their blockchain project but it may not really help the industry to recover the loss. The volatility nature of crypto will only dip them more to the murky waters. The popularity though can make information of cryptocurrency be widely spread, Kpop are appreciated not just in Asia so the channel must be of help.
1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: David Marcus, Coinbase CEO show supports for Facebook Libra on: September 29, 2019, 03:19:17 PM

So none in the senate were able to publish some support to Libra despite facebook hiring popular lobbyist. What they got for now is the Coinbase CEO, they got a long road to walk. While China is already miles and miles ahead in digital currencies.

Coinbase CEO's opinion on the Libra cryptocurrency doesn't really matter and will have no effect or any way influence most members of the crypto community's stance - and that is to shy away from Libra as possibly as they could! Moreover, maybe he did announced his support to Facebook's Libra only to please Mark Zuckerberg since we may not know if he has any other hidden agenda being a businessman himself. Grin

With facebook's Libra launched, Coinbase will also benefit since people will also be registering to them. People will credit cards will go to the platform.
1794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bulls vs Bears: Social Binary Options with revenue sharing on: September 29, 2019, 02:32:05 PM
Do you have any updates? when should we wait the launch?

Hi, YEA we have!
You can read our September update here: https://medium.com/@bullsvsbears/bulls-vs-bears-september-update-1b1deebd4134

Awesome! Thank you for the update!

By the time you publish the winners on  10th of October, means the platform will also be ready for betting?

When I started following your project there was a countdown where we can see the project will be release in 30 days, I don't see it anymore. But I would assume the plan is right on schedule with mobile app?
1795  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EOSBet.io - Licensed Casino Platform 🎲Provably Fair 🎲NOW ACCEPTING BTC ₿ on: September 29, 2019, 02:01:42 PM
Question: How is the amount of BET that you get calculated if you deposit an altcoin like ETH? Do you even get any BET tokens at all? Is that an EOS specific thing?

I like the fact that the bettor can be the house. I've also seen potentially some guerilla marketing campaigns done by EOSBet on this forum to try to attract more people.

1.5% house edge on dice isn't really that attractive given that major casinos all only have 1%, though.

You don't get BET by just depositing, you need to wager. Play in the casino. For every 20 EOS, you get about 1BET. Keep playing the more EOS the more BET you will get. Or better yet buy some in NEWdex or Binance DEX, its where its listed. Not sure if bettor becomes the house here, there is no banker's bull in EOSBET but you get dividends for holding BETs.
1796  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Cisco-CCNA on: September 29, 2019, 03:24:01 AM
I have done all of the above and I reach a score of more than 83% in practice exams. Passforsure is an old one, I have used certexams ,bought premium file from prepaway and I have learned with Gns3 which is muchc better than packet tracer as packet tracer miss some commands. I guess I am good to go.

I'd be very confident if I get 83% +, make it your quest. There are only few people who got to the top being CCNP and then move to CCIE.  You'd have something to really be proud of even with just CCNA.

Packet tracer was like a kids simulation but it was very helpful that time. a better one has come up then GNS3. Tell us, can the knowledge to engineer the networks be used in Blockchain?
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra in Facebook on: September 29, 2019, 02:42:10 AM
I urge caution for anyone trying to buy Libra.  I have s near escape. I saw an advert on Facebook and was thinking of getting some. But I remember reading that Libra is not launch.  It seems that Facebook dun really check on the authencity of the adverts. After this incident I saw 2 more different adverts from Facebook selling Libra!

It helps a lot to read a little here and there about the latest news about crypto. It will not only help you keep updated about the latest developments, it will also keep you relatively safe from scams such as this.

We can read even here in a crypto forum about pathetic members asking where to buy Libra, how to buy Libra, whether it is a good investment, or they will HODL it because it is owned by a very popular company. This kind of individuals are likely to fall to the Libra scams found not only on Facebook but in other social media platforms also.

That where they get the idea of selling a non existing token - from people trying to know where to buy Libra despite it not launched yet. They tend to buy advertising just scam, didnt they ask documents to people advertising it facebook?

It is however an indication that people are really up to own some of Libra even it being just a stablecoin and were stopped by EU countries.

1798  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: -CONTRADICTION- ? on: September 28, 2019, 08:17:38 PM

We do use it just like fiat most of the time. We buy and sell online its not however like how the Japanese do where they buy services and food in some grocery stores with BTC. As much as I want to do it in my country there ain't a lot of stores accepting BTC in my country but with regulations, businesses will start trusting BTC and will accept it as payments and that's when we can see adoption. Before this will happen though, the government is acting already to collect taxes from it and sometimes it gets complicated.
1799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Ripple not dead? on: September 28, 2019, 06:10:55 PM

Despite the tons of people actually despising XRP, I find it interesting to see big wallet companies are adding this coin. When you are advised to invest to top coins, new users in crypto sees XRP to be the cheapest and they will buy hoping it will also go up like how BTC did. I use to think XRP is a good investment until the bear market arrives, I still got my XRP though. And its on gatehub where I have to fucking submit documents before I can dump it all.
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance dex chain on: September 28, 2019, 05:07:56 PM

If you have a coin that is also listed in binance dex, you need to ask its developer about how to swap it because normally you can do it yourself specially if the token is in your own personal wallet. But then the team could have also set a automation for it when you want to send your coin/token to your binance dex wallet.

I have tried it myself with Aeron tokens the first time, its interesting because binance has an etherlike wallet addresses. I also did the swapping with BET tokens and probably will also do it with my SWIPE which they recently were added in binance DEX.
