801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Founder CZ said that, Copy trading now live on Binance. on: October 13, 2023, 07:07:51 AM
Trading isn't that hard agreed but that applies to only spot traders. Trading futures is very difficult I must tell you and that's where the money really is hence the reason to copy other pro especially in the bear market like this where price volatility is quiet crazy. In a normal bull market, not many people explore the copy trading features because they know the market direction.
Trading isn't that hard? Did you tried trading already that you can say this words? If you did, are you a successful one? If yes then congratulations... I guess.

Trading in general is already hard, so some investors who are hoping to earn money by doing little to no work will try this copy trading. I didn't try doing this at all, and right now I don't want to especially after experiencing consecutive losses in trading. Trading in the spot market is still difficult, completely opposite on what you said that it's not that hard. It's almost the same as futures, but the only difference is, the risk is higher in futures because of leverage, but both of them are still difficult especially when you're a newbie.

Overall, with how many users Binance has currently, and with how attractive copy-trading is for others, I'm pretty sure that there are many who will try this one. I'm still waiting for the results of some people who tried doing it. Maybe I'll wait for a couple months.
802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Need Satoshi? on: October 13, 2023, 06:49:04 AM
~
I did read your post, and what I saw was, you used the word "HE" 5 times.
My question is, are you sure that he's a male? Why are you using the word "HE" where in fact you don't even know if Satoshi's a male.

Anyway to answer your question coming from a newbie, with how Bitcoin is right now, and how it works, I don't think that we need Satoshi anymore although it will be a good thing if Satoshi comes back, but what are the chances for it to happen? Close to zero. I know that you asked this OP because you're curious, and I have this type of question in my mind for a very long time as well, but I guess let's just assume that Satoshi will never come out, and help the developers anymore. I guess Satoshi is happy right now with what's happening with Bitcoin even though not many people sees it as a currency, but rather an asset.

Next time, don't use he if you are pertaining to Satoshi. Smiley
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 13, 2023, 06:31:59 AM
We should be able to get a look at Giannis and Damian Lillard together for the first time this weekend as the Milwaukee Bucks face off against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. I’m not sure what I’ll have to do to see some of this game but I’ll be trying. I’m sure they won’t get many minutes, but we’re certain to get a glimpse at what they can do.
A glimpse maybe, but I doubt that they'll show it in the pre-season.

I mean they can do it a few times since many teams are already expecting that these duo of Giannis and Dame will do the Pick and Roll most of the time, but I believe there are some things that they will only show once the regular season starts. Just for context as well, Dame has the highest points in Pick and Roll meaning he's more efficient in PnR.

So the GM is putting the Celtics and the Nuggets tied to win the NBA trophy for this year. I think I will agree with them, I mean Celtics upgrading their roster, although they lost Marcus Smart, they got Holiday and KP. While the Nuggets are the defending champion and they still have the best center and most likely another MVP candidate year for Jokic. And then the Bucks getting Dame.

Booker though, has been voted against for the best shooting guard and hopefully he can live up to the expectations for this year and bring Phoenix with Kevin Durant to the finals.

I don't know, but why they are putting the Celtics in the top spot each year in the teams who will win the title. Last year, they're at the top 5, lost against the 8th seeded Miami Heat. 2 years ago, they're one step behind from winning it as they lost against the Warriors. Now they're picking them again because? I'm not against the fact that the Celtics are one of the favorites to win the title, but what I'm against is that, they're at the top spot - tied with the Nuggets in winning it.

How about the Bucks? The Warriors? The better Lakers? Let's remove Philly as they're in a shitty situation right now. Nuggets can do it again TBH, but the Celtics? I don't even think that they can defeat the Bucks if these 2 teams will face the NBA conference Finals. Maybe if Brown will learn how to dribble using his left hand then there's a chance for them.

Booker as the best shooting guard? What are the achievements Booker did to the Suns to be at the top? Did he won a scoring title already? Did he won an MVP already? Did he won a title already? Did he broke records already? Correct me, but I don't think he done any of that. Who's the player who did all of that? Stephen Curry, and look how many percent he got. 10%?? That's ridiculous if you will ask me. I don't see any reason why Booker is at the top over Curry. Well, maybe it's either they're biased, or they just hate Curry.
804  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Fun] Bitcoin price could hit $750K to $1M by 2026 on: October 12, 2023, 10:51:52 AM
The subject title says "FUN", so... yeah
To answer the question, I would say NO. It's too high for Bitcoin to reach that price in such a short amount of time. We've seen lots of predictions in the past telling that Bitcoin will reach 6 digits even before the pandemic in 2020. In the end, it didn't happen, and it hasn't happened yet... or it will after a year or so. Cheesy

Anyway, I will not share the photo anymore, but my initial price prediction for Bitcoin's peak in the next bull run is at around ~$140,000. How did I come to that number? During the bull run in 2017, Bitcoin's price increased by at least ~3300%. During the bull run in 2021, the price increase from the lowest price to it's highest is at around ~1800%. I just get the half of 1800% which is ~900% since it seems like the price increase in the last 2 bull runs cut into half. Well, not exact, but at least half.

Too much words to say for me, but it's for fun. My prediction is ~$140,000 is it's peak. Maybe some can share theirs as well. Smiley

Re: Even Seasoned Analysts Can Get it Wrong
Seasoned analysts, so-called analysts, expert traders, expert analysts, newbie analysts, people who think that they're analysts, TA experts, whatever type of analyst they are, they have one thing in common.
Yes they are been addressed as analysts, but they can't predict the future still.

What they're doing is speculating the market. If this happen, that will happen blah blah blah. That's the main point of their analysis. If Bitcoin's price reach X price, it might start a bull market. They are using the words "might" so that they say to the public that what they are saying is just a prediction, and don't follow them. Don't rely too much on their prediction because we average persons can also predict as well. We can do what they can do. The only difference is that, we aren't analysts at all while they are... so-called analysts.

Analysts are humans, and humans make mistakes. In the end, it's up to the investor if they will make a decision base on their prediction or  not.
806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 05:47:14 AM
To be honest, I've had this question for quite a while. I keep seeing people claiming to just hold and hold; it'll take one, two, three, or whatever years for the next bull market. However, I'm often wondering: do you ever feel tired of waiting for Bitcoin to thrive? The past few months, or the whole past year—I'm not sure I've lost track of time—have been quite stale. Bitcoin has been ranging between $25.000 and $28.000 for quite a while. The volatility compared to other periods is lower than we're used to, or at least, to what I was used to in the past.
Don't believe to anyone claiming they hold, or tell you to hold, that is BS. If you care to think of maximizing your profit then you should have thought of holding just enough for the next bull run and buy again during the bear market. People might trick anyone they come across with to say to hold but in fact they are selling their own crypto. I honestly feel that bitcoin won't be higher than its all time-high, I'm still positive but needs more data to see.
I remembered my mistake again 2 years ago. I did hold, but I overheld my tokens, and didn't sold during the bull run of 2021, and I lost my supposed profits.

There's a difference between holding for a very long time, and holding, and waiting for the next bull run. You saying that holding even though bull run happens is BS? Do you believe that "ALL" of the Bitcoin holders are selling during the bull run? Nahhh I don't think so especially those who already think of buying Bitcoins for their children. Kind of weird, but I believe there are some who did it already. I did tell to others to hold especially when they are at a huge loss, but it doesn't mean that they'll not be selling it especially when we are in a bull run, but I also think that there are still investors who are long time holders, and they will hold their Bitcoins whatever happens.

Regards to what you said that Bitcoin won't go higher than it's all time high of ~$69,000, it's your opinion, and it's your prediction, and my prediction is Bitcoin will reach 6 digits in the next bull run.

Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting?
Yes there are times where I feel tired, but I always go with my "WHY". Why am I doing this. Why do I need to be patient? Why do I need to hold assets for a very long time knowing that I'm an impatient person, but over the years, that "WHY" of mine changed me positively, and it works really well for me.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the Future of Bitcoin without the Inventor? on: October 12, 2023, 02:30:04 AM
I have been having some critical thinking lately on what the future of Bitcoin and the Blockchain technology will be. What will be the fate of Bitcoin should in case the founders of this great digital currency and assets die. It is not a wish but it is a known fact that all humans will taste the sad and irreplaceable part of this life – death.
~
Can someone on this forum help me clarify (in simple terms) on some of the infrastructures or technologies put into the development of Bitcoin that can make it stand, forever?
That's the power of decentralization. Anybody can do anything... or I should say developers are doing their job, and that's to maintain.
Any changes around Bitcoin isn't been approved that easily because I think there's at least 5 groups that needs to agree in order for that development to be implemented. What I remember is that, miners are one of them.

Bitcoin creator die? We don't even know who Satoshi is, and TBH, there's a chance that Satoshi is dead already. Like I said, nobody knows about Satoshi, so these are just assumptions. Like you, I don't also have any in-depth knowledge about the software itself, but at least I know the basics of it. The good thing is that, we have developers who maintain Bitcoin, so I guess we can safely say that Bitcoin's in good hands already... or not. Cheesy
808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 12, 2023, 01:42:03 AM
I'm surprised that the Celtics starting players including Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis played over 40 minutes in today's NBA preseason game. It seems like they're treating this as their official warmup for the upcoming NBA season, as typically in the preseason Star players only average around 20 minutes per game.

Who the fuck is this guy Dalano Banton played 40 min with 0 points. Lmao
Against? Are you talking about their game against the Sixers where they won? I tried to find the game where both Holiday, and Porzingis played for 40 minutes, and I can't find any of their last 3 pre-season games. Like you said already, most of the stars are playing only for at least 20 minutes or even lesser, to prevent getting injured. At the same time, this pre-season is the perfect time for those role players to step up, and put themselves in the rotation of the team.

I also did a quick search on how many minutes this Banton guy played, and the most is 30 minutes against the Knicks. I don't also know what game are you saying where he played 40 minutes with 0 points. Share it here. Smiley TBH, I'm not watching these pre-season games since most of the stars aren't playing. I'd rather wait for the regular season to start. Wink That would be more exciting to watch.
809  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin Hit $1 Million by 2026? Arthur Hayes Makes Exciting Forecast on: October 10, 2023, 10:34:06 PM
People don't know btc price next month and somebody still talking about 2026 lol

Exactly, I'm already tired of all those promises and predictions. I prefer simply DCAing and not thinking too much about that.
Don't stress yourself as much as I am when it comes to these predictions, and speculations.
Like everyone else is saying, it's only a speculation, and we have the freedom to share our speculation towards the price of Bitcoin. It's just that, there are some influential people who are making their own prediction, and that's the one that's been highlighted thus, people are making an article out of that prediction.

Tired of all those predictions? Just ignore them, and focus on your strategy. After all, I believe that your strategy works, and these type of predictions aren't affecting the market already. It's not 2017 anymore where any prediction coming from an influential person will make the price of Bitcoin jump at least ~5% in a single day or even more.

Let them do their prediction if that's what makes them happy. As for us average Joes, let's just focus on what works for us. Smiley
810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 10, 2023, 06:41:21 PM
I don’t know who at ESPN is doing their NBA rankings and predictions but I wish I could bet against them. After the horrible take on the Bucks upcoming season, they’re now saying that Zion Williamson is the 57th best player in the NBA. I could maybe see calling him the 20th, but 57th? If he plays in even 50 games this year he’ll likely be an MVP candidate…
There's a big "IF" on your statement, and yes I agree on that.
I still remember the time when I said that the Pelicans are the "Dark Horse" of the whole league last season. The team where no one would expect them to be at the top, and sure enough, they're at the top at some point, and even got the top spot in the West... until Zion got injured, and they've became an average team. Slowly went out in the standings, and ended up losing in the play-in tournament.

This just shows how impactful Zion is with the team. He could be at the top 10 TBH "IF" he's healthy enough to help the team. His health has been the big concern since he came into the league, and him being ranked at the 57th seems just fine for me. Of course that'll change depending on his performance this season. If he stays healthy all throughout the season, he will be a top 10 player, and a potential MVP candidate.
811  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I got from my Friend about Bitcoin on: October 10, 2023, 06:20:41 PM
When I got to know about bitcoin from my friend last two month, she told me more about bitcoin, she also said investing in bitcoin is good. And she asked me to invest on bitcoin that it will be of help to me, she said for more guard she asked me to join this forum bitcointalk. And I accepted her request, so I decided to make some research about bitcoin and this forum bitcointalk because it takes a lot to join a forum, after making my research through the help of the internet I decided to create an account and join this forum. And to my biggest surprise the username has been used, so I used another name then it works.
I will be very much happy to acquire more knowledge in the forum. I am also planning to buy my first coins this week.
I don't recommend newbies to buy Bitcoins when you're still acquiring knowledge because of the fact that you might not ready for the things to happen with your investment especially with how volatile Bitcoin is, but I guess you have a friend that will guide you through that so... yeah good luck with your investment journey.

TBH, I envy those people who have friends who are also investing into Bitcoin, and other types of investment as well. I don't have any friends that's also investing into crypto. I don't see anybody around me who's investing into different types of assets which is kind of frustrating (a little). It's good for you that you have a friend that will guide you. Use this forum as a platform where you can learn more about Bitcoin, and not a platform where you can earn money. Continue to learn, and information are everywhere already. You just need the initiative, and time to learn.

Good Luck OP, and welcome as well.
812  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN HALVING COUNTDOWN IS ON – WILL CRYPTO PRICES RISE? on: October 10, 2023, 07:57:26 AM
Well, basing on past performances, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies usually rise a few months after the Bitcoin halving.
On the other hand, I'm not saying that it will happen again anytime next year after the halving (which is estimated to happen in April 2024), but basing on history, there's a high chance that it will happen.

I'm the type of investor who believes in the 4-year cycle of the crypto market. Maybe it's because I've seen it happened 2 consecutive times already (2017 and 2021). Because of that, I believe that crypto prices will rise, but the peak of bull run will happen somewhere in 2025 (base on history). Let's also take note that the past performance of the price of Bitcoin doesn't mean that it will happen again in the future. What I'm trying to say is that, prices of cryptocurrencies tend to rise a few months after the halving.

I guess what I will try to say is that, don't expect too much, but be ready if prices go rise a few months after the halving because nothing will happen with the price of Bitcoin days after the halving. We will only experience the effect of it months after.
813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA method on: October 10, 2023, 06:21:53 AM
~
I don't know if anyone else has different opinion about it?
As a low income like your friend, I can relate, and I will agree with you that DCA is by far the best way to accumulate Bitcoin for low to even mid level income earner.

Proven and tested. I guess these are the words that I will say when it comes to DCA. I mean if you consistently buying Bitcoin since the start of the bear market in 2022, you are now in profit now, and the best part is that you don't need a huge amount of money to start accumulating. A few dollars per month would do. Even those low income earners can buy as long as they have extra funds.

You might get a lesser profit doing DCA than buying Bitcoin or whatever asset it is at once, but the risk are lower in doing DCA. When is the time where you can't do DCA? When the bull market starts... or you can still. DCA when selling, or I mean selling your holdings in parts just like what you're doing when you are buying. Cheesy
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe? on: October 10, 2023, 05:33:58 AM
With hacks occurring more frequently these days, I would strongly emphasize the importance of security. Whether it's a decentralized exchange (DEX) or a centralized exchange (CEX), no one is immune. First, we witnessed the Mixin incident, and now it's Galxe. It's crucial for everyone to assess the security measures of any platform before entrusting their funds. We all bear the responsibility to conduct thorough research before investing our hard-earned money
If these types of services aren't focusing more on the security of their project, nobody really is safe.
I mean nobody really is safe these days. TBH, I consider the securities of different projects, or exchanges whatsoever as weak ones. I mean they can prevent getting hacked if their security is that strong right?

Research? For me it's useless because you don't know which exchange or project will most likely to get hacked. Binance got hacked, Ronin blockchain got hacked, DEX'es got hacked, and so on, and so forth. I guess let's just accept the fact that these companies doesn't focus that much on their securities, but they're focusing more on the marketing side of things, and when they got hacked, it's either they will reimburse the hacked money, or they will just run.

I guess the best thing to do is to just put our assets in hardware wallets. It's safer out there than storing it on exchanges.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 09, 2023, 09:50:50 PM
Seeing 54.5 games makes me think it is still not really all that impossible. I mean it is 1.82 odds and looks like it may actually be worth it. Bucks was already a good team, and they have a great head coach as well, I mean this is the team that won the title just a few years ago, so it is not really like they are all that bad and now with Dame on the roster along with Giannis and Middleton, I feel like they do have a player at almost every position that could be very good. Reaching 55 wins doesn't look all that impossible and they may end up doing it.

I will probably bet on them, need to go and take a look now, to see if that is still the odds and that is still the games, and I need to check other teams as well and how the yare, because I may like some other one a bit more who knows?
It's worth to bet IMO.
I mean a combination of Giannis, and Dame will only get 55 games?

The expectation towards these the Bucks right now is at it's highest. If there's a hindrance for the team not to get at least 55 wins, it's the new coach, injuries, and chemistry. Having a new coach isn't a new problem right now because we've seen coaches like Ime Udoka, and Joe Mazulla performed really well in their first year as a head coach. I'm not expecting the same with AJ Griffin, but with this type of roster, I think he can handle it and lead the team to at least the top spot in the East. Injuries are inevitable... so I just expect for the best for them. Chemistry can be built overtime, and I don't see it as a problem as well.

TBH, it's a good bet. I expect that the Bucks will get at least more than 55 wins with their current roster right now. I will not be surprised if they will get 60 wins this season unless other teams will have a solution on the Pick and Roll of Giannis and Dame.

Re: Trading on your own vs social trading and copy trading
You can try both, and focus on what works for you.

Trading on your own takes more time to learn, more money because you might lose in the process, but in exchange, you can get more profits if you became a successful trader. On other hand, copy trading takes little to no time to learn since you will just copy what expert traders are doing, you don't need that much money doing it, and the chances of you losing money is still there, but it's relatively low compare to when you are trading on your own.

Do what's working for you. Try both, and focus on what you like to do.

You said that you're looking for trading ideas? There are many information online that might help you with your trading journey. You want trading signals? Telegram, and Discord has it, but beware because most of these signals are false. Well it's up to you still if you will follow them or not. Good luck with your trading journey, and I hope you can be a profitable trader someday. Smiley

And who are the winners? Of course those who longed on their trades. In short, traders won.

Do you really think that aside from traders, they care about this? I'm not a trader, so I don't care about this anymore. We know that Elon is the biggest supporter of DOGE (and the next one is Glauber Contessoto, and if you don't know him, do a bit of Google search on his name Cheesy), and he has already said that he "MIGHT" integrate cryptocurrencies in his platform "X", and if this happens, for sure DOGE will be the ones that will be added. Of course Bitcoin will be the first one, and Ethereum might be added as well.

818  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: October 08, 2023, 01:57:09 PM
Weeks... or I think it only took days before I learn trading.
Don't take what I said seriously. Yes I learned trading in only a few weeks, but I didn't make myself profitable while doing it. Cheesy

TBH, I don't know how much an aspiring trader will take for them to be an expert. I guess the one who can answer this are the ones whom they can consider themselves as experts in trading. What I know is that, as long as there's a strategy that's working for you then you can get yourself profitable already. Correct me if I'm wrong with this one though. I don't believe that it takes 9 months before you learn trading. You can spend those 9 months learning trading, but in the end, you can't get yourself profitable in trading still.

Overall, there's no exact number on this one. As for me, I don't want to spend months learning trading. It only took me weeks, and I failed. Cheesy No regrets though.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 08, 2023, 01:37:50 PM
ESPN has said they are predicting the Milwaukee Bucks to win 48.5 games next year. What do people think about that? Personally, I think they win at least 50 games next year and maybe even 60. Lillard is a beast to have on your team alongside Giannis. While it may not be as good as the Curry/Giannis duo we all want to see, it is the next best thing.
Let's round it of to 49 games. 49 games? Like are you kidding me? ESPN's prediction is sh*t.
They have Giannis, they have Dame, they have good defenders in Lopez, Portis, Crowder, they still have a 3rd shooter in Middleton. How can this type of roster win only 49 games. Are they saying that they will only get to at least the 4th-8th spot in the East?

They've been the top team multiple times in a few years, and for me, they just got better offensively with the acquisition of Dame. Yes they lost an all-around player in Jrue, but having a sharpshooter in Dame can give headaches to other teams. He extends the defense of their opponent's teams because of his efficiency in three-point shooting, and because of this, Giannis will experience double teams lesser times than the usual, and we know how he bullies his defenders inside the paint right.

If there's one thing that makes this prediction realistic, that's injuries. If Lillard "AND" Giannis unfortunately gets injured, and no one can step up, that I will agree to ESPN's prediction, but aside from that, I agree with what you said that they might get close to 60 wins or even higher.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking my time to read my post. Cheers!  Smiley
Share what you know, share your opinions, be constructive with your posts.
Merits will come automatically. Well, not automatically, but there are many merit threads out there. The Sceptical Chymist also offers post reviews to those users (thanks to him again Tongue).

Merits are everywhere. You don't need to focus on it. We are in the same local board base on your posts, and I agree with what you said that there aren't that much active users out there, so I guess since I just got my Legendary rank a few days ago, I will put most of my merits on my local board. Of course I'll pick those constructive, and that of with quality Smiley. Gambling threads aren't getting that much merits IMO. I don't know if it's just me, but most of the posts that I'm seeing on gambling section are mostly one-liners, and kind of redundant as well.

As for technical aspect of Bitcoin, I already said it multiple times that I'm not a techy guy, and I don't know anything about the technical side of it. Maybe I know some terminologies, and I know the basics, but that's all. You don't need to know the technical side of Bitcoin to earn merits. Sure, it can make you earning merits way faster, but that doesn't mean that it's the only way to earn it.

I already shared my advice. Don't focus on it. Focus on the things that you know. Learn more, and share it here. Be constructive with your posts. If you need to learn how to be good at English then do it. I mean that's what I did in the past. It took me a long time to earn the Legendary rank, but it's all worth it. Smiley Can I ask you OP on why you are asking this type of question? Most of the answers that I'm hearing as to why they're asking this is because they want to increase their rank thus, they increase their earnings in campaigns.

P.S. Ohhh men. I wasted a few minutes of my life typing, and sharing things to you, and I saw that you have alt accounts, so I guess that answers my question then. You are asking this because you want to earn more. Tongue
