802  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTCChina, recover account on: February 14, 2014, 05:44:52 AM
0xD9B4BEF9 i suggest you to contact the btcchina support

The problem is that OP can't use QQ.
The only way left is the 2 emails I found on their website.
OP has already sent an email to one of the address yesterday, but didn't hear any response yet...
803  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Faucets and Sites– A Review for Beginners. on: February 14, 2014, 04:59:10 AM
(FYI as part of my experiment I have managed to accrue 19Mhash in cloud hashing with all the free bitcoins)

19 MHs? Or GHs?
If you really have only 0.019GHs, you can't even do a payout....
804  Other / Meta / Re: Deleting forum account on: February 14, 2014, 04:29:26 AM
What am I supposed to do in order to have my account deleted? After some searching I found some posts saying I should PM theymos, which I did twice, and he never responded.

P.S. Please do not give me useless advices along the lines of "stop going here" or "have yourself banned" or whatever.

You just can't delete your account, or ask others to delete it.

BTW, even if your account is banned, it will not be deleted. Smiley
805  Other / Meta / Re: when are new user time limits removed on: February 14, 2014, 04:27:56 AM
There's a thread stickied right in the subforum you posted in: Forum ranks/positions (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?).

Indeed, the time limit formulae are not in that sticky post, but they can be found in the following post.

What are the time limits on posting and the levels??
I know 360 seconds are for new people like me, but was wondering if there was break down somewhere on this.

Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);

this was over >$100,000; it was a last minute panic sell in order to buy back lower and that point is getting closer...
 tips for anyone who can help

I just found another email for complaint on this page (https://vip.btcchina.com/page/contactus?lang=en#)

807  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are faucets the route to go for a newb with no money? on: February 14, 2014, 04:19:13 AM
IMHO, it doesn't worth the time to collect dusts with faucets.

Apart from buying bitcoin directly, you could sell goods and services for bitcoin.
You could also sell your signature space for bitcoin.
808  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: buy bitcoin using paypal? on: February 14, 2014, 04:16:12 AM
Virwox accept paypal -> bitcoin but the fees is very very high may be when the time coin reach your wallet its about 10-20% .

True, the fee is pretty bad.

But it is probably still the "best" way to buy bitcoin with paypal.
You can hardly find sellers to accept paypal, especially for a new account with no trade history.
809  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For newbies - Is cex.io a good investment? on: February 14, 2014, 04:07:59 AM
For good investment, buy ghs in cex.io or buy mining hardware and connect to btc guild?

Neither.
For profitability, build a GPU rig to mine scrpyt-based coins and sell them for bitcoin.

what "mine scrpyt-based coins" can you give more info?

Coins like bitcoin and namecoin are sha256-based.
Coins like litecoin and dogecoin are scrypt-based (sorry for my typo in the previous post).

Unlike sha256, scrypt hashing is memory-intensive, and thus it is much harder to build scrypt ASIC.
We may have some scrypt ASIC later this year, but until then almost all of the hashrate are from GPUs.
Thus, you could still get decent revenue mining scrypt altcoins with your GPUs.
810  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: altcoin domains wanted on: February 14, 2014, 03:58:50 AM
For both buying and selling domains, you may find deals more likely here (Marketplace > Goods > Digital goods).

I am Tim, I have been visiting this forum for a couple of months, I wanted to register to comment.
How do we comment here, it says you have commented already and need to wait 360secs but I didn't!

Edit: Ok I guess I need min of 15 activity to reply

You can make your thread/reply anywhere in the forum, but you need to wait for 360 seconds between post.
Actions like logging in, signing up, searching and sending PM would reset the timer.
So, you need to wait 360 seconds after login to make your first post.

BTW, the time limit will be down to 75 seconds when you get 15 activity.

814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start earning Bitcoin ? on: February 14, 2014, 03:47:20 AM
buy GHs in cex.io and start mining and earn btc

Are you serious?  Shocked

The hashrate on cex is so highly priced that you can never get your investment back, not even close.  Cheesy

can you give good way to earn bitcoin?

Sell goods (anything from domains to t-shirts) and services (FB likes, sig ad, graphic design, etc) for bitcoin.

817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I confirm my email is linked to my bit coin address on: February 14, 2014, 12:51:46 AM
I ordered some items from Overstock.com this morning, but I entered the wrong amount of bitcoin to pay for it.

A rep from Overstock says they have to reimburse me the bitcoin so I can start the order over, and they want me
to verify my email with my wallet address.

Can anyone explain how I do this?  Any help is very appreciated.

Thank you.

I guess you may need to sign your email with your address.
But, you'd better ask that rep directly what you need to do.
818  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Could someone help me test my wallet ? on: February 14, 2014, 12:48:54 AM

True, and I guess skidvis doesn't really need that 100 satoshi back lol.  Grin

820  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ARE PHYSICAL BITCOIN/LITECOIN MORE SECURED? on: February 14, 2014, 12:40:17 AM
Do you think its more safe/secured to have all of your BTC/LTC coins in physical than in digital with all those mess and hacked with exchangers?

Yeah, but the physical coins are really collectors' items; you destroy the numismatic value if you peel back the hologram to access the digital bitcoin, so I don't know why you'd seriously store funds you intend to use this way. They're a proof a concept; a conversation starter, collectors' item...

For proper safe-storage, use a cold-storage solution like Armory.

And never store more than pocket-change in online-services. Remember, if you do not solely possess the private key, you do not actually "own" or "control" the corresponding bitcoins.

Well said.

You should use offline wallet / paper wallet (with proper way to generate it of course) for safety.
