821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 15, 2023, 11:56:15 PM
It needs to be a Clippers team and not just Harden, the thing is that they are trying to revolve around James and he's the newcomer and I don't think that will fit in. That's totally an offensive arsenal but I don't think it will work out to the very end, they are good when he's not there but right now it looks like a noob team.

But they are figuring it out and still haven't found a solution yet. It has already cost them a 5-game losing streak, which calls for desperate measures.
Probably, Coach Tyronn Lue is just trying this last option. You know, no player would be able to play happily if he is not being himself. That's why he wants James Harden to be himself and see the outcome of his game affecting the team.
I read a RUMOR on Facebook regarding what's happening with them in the locker room and apparently:
Quote
James Harden reportedly "WANTS OUT" of Los Angeles while Saudi Pro League still wants him with $900M of contract. Besides, Harden threw a chair in the Clippers locker room that inadvertently struck Kawhi Leonard.
TBH, this rumor is huge. Just after 5 games, he wants to get out of the Clippers already? Like I said, I will not be surprised if no other team wants him anymore after his contract this season because of attitude problems. It's my first time hearing that the Saudi Pro League wants him to play, and it's funny. Cheesy

Let Harden play off the bench instead.

Or it could be Westbrook. Either one of them could still play as a PG, so it's a coaching staff prerogative. Whoever is effective should be in the starting lineup.
If I were to pick between the 2, I would rather choose Westbrook to play off the bench.
Harden will not accept that role. Not with how high his ego is. Westbrook at least tried to play off the bench already when he was with the Lakers, and some time with the Clippers, but Harden? Since he became an all-star, he didn't start off the bench anymore, and he doesn't want that role.

Not sure if this has really been discussed her or not yet..but what do you all think about the Zach Lavine rumors?  As a Chicago Bulls fan, I think we got the better of the Jimmy Butler/Lavine trade, and he's been a fun and exciting player to watch these past few years, but it's time to blow it up.  Lavine is not good enough to be a teams leading star, and would fit much better as a number 2 or 3 option.  The Bulls aren't heading anywhere with this team, so time to move on a rebuild.  Thoughts?  Also what teams do you guys think he'd be a good fit for?
Not exciting TBH like the Lillard, or the Harden trade saga.

It's pretty obvious that the Bulls are like an average team even though they have stars like Vucevic, DeRozan, and Lavine. Both Lavine and the Bulls are exploring for potential teams that want him. The Lakers, and the Heat are the top teams that can get him, but TBH, it's pretty hard to know which teams are interested in him because we might see some other teams who are talking with their front office privately.
822  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading? on: November 14, 2023, 11:38:24 PM
Let's take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the early days of our crypto journeys. It's fascinating to see how far we've come since we first stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?
I started trading in 2018 when the price of Bitcoin was slowly going down. I think the price was around $12,000 - $14,000.

Back then, I was still a newbie in the crypto space and still learning the essential information that I needed. However, like most newbies out there, they got attracted when they knew that they could earn money through trading, so what I did was I did some research regarding trading, and watched some tips and tricks that will help me. Most of the videos that I watched are saying one thing in common and that is "You will experience a lot of losses as a newbie." From that, I decided to try it and invested only a few dollars in my own pocket (I think that was around $10). Well, I made some small profits in my first trades, but over time, I'm making some mistakes that caused me to eventually lose my money.

No regrets coming from me at that time because I already knew that the chances of me losing my money were really high. I guess the experience is what matters to me.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 14, 2023, 07:05:55 AM
The losing streak continues, reaching 4 games now. Once again, the offense isn't flowing effectively, and they're scoring much lower than their average before the Harden trade. They are still in the process of figuring out how to fix this issue, but with 4 losses in a row, the chances of solving the problem seem to be diminishing. The next game is against the Nuggets, and in my opinion, that's an automatic loss.

Anyone else believed Harden is the problem? Me, I'm starting to believe he is. What Brian Dameris said was all true no cap heard on his statement regarding James Harden drama.
He's been moving from 1 team to another, teaming up with 2-4 superstars on the same team, but not even the finals he stepped into, except when they were  young in OKC.
Well, he's already there, I guess the Clippers will need to make a huge adjustments to utilise Harden effectively. I thought he'd be a great guy leading the 2nd unit.
Harden going off the bench? His ego is too high to accept that. I'm thinking that Harden will be the next Carmelo Anthony. I think we knew what happened to Melo right? Smiley

I will not be surprised if the Clippers will make some stupid decisions even more in the future. They're desperate to get that title thus, they got 4 all-star players. Do they think that still work? Not already. Nets got KD, Kyrie, and Harden, and it ended up pretty badly. Look at the Nuggets last season. They only got Jokic, and Murray as their main players, and yet they won the title very easily (in my POV). Getting many superstars isn't the way to win a title now. It's getting the perfect role players who knows their role on their team.

He has, and always be the problem. Went to Houston, got Dwight, he forced the team to trade him because he don't want him anymore. Same thing with CP3 and Russ. Went to Brooklyn to play alongside Kyrie and Durant, and it ended up badly. He requested a trade to go to Philly. Helped Embiid to get a title, but now he requested a trade again to go to the Clippers. I will not be surprised if no team will try to pursue him after his contract this season because of what's happening. His value might decrease significantly because of the dramas around him.
824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whatever happens, hold on to your Bitcoin. on: November 14, 2023, 06:42:44 AM
Have we thought about what will happen to Bitcoin price should all the ETF get rejected? I don't want to imagine this but whatever happens, hold on to your Bitcoin.
If Blackrock spot Bitcoin ETF application will get rejected, price will plummet that's for sure. How much? I don't know. TBH, I'm thinking that if it gets rejected, we will experience again what happened in 2020.

Pandemic has been declared > Price of cryptocurrencies went down very hard > a few months after that it went up even higher, and that's the start of the bull run. If the ETF will be rejected, I see that the same will happen next year. ETF gets rejected > Price of cryptocurrencies will go down > a few months after it will go up even higher. Of course, this is just my prediction, but I'm ready just incase this happens. Smiley

There have been bull run without Bitcoin ETF and there will always be bull run even if the ETF is rejected. So even when the market temporarily nosedives if the ETF is rejected, do not panic. Once again, hold on to your Bitcoin and do not panic.
Saying not to panic to other people is very easy to say, but it's very hard to apply. Even though we are saying it multiple times to those newbies, their emotions are getting them thus, they are making some wrong decisions that make them lose their money. Holding when everybody else is panicking requires a lot of experience, and if you're a newbie, chances of you doing the same as what most are doing is high.

Holding Bitcoin when many are panicking is advisable, but holding it for a very long time is a no-no for me. At least know when to sell it.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge coin everly hit $1? on: November 14, 2023, 06:19:20 AM
~
Dogecoin is one of a long time COIN that has been in existence for over 10years now. since December 2013 dogecoin hit 0.0000869 on may 6 2015 and today is $0.076 now am wondering if it could reach $1price after 10years compeard to Bitcoin.
Supply and demand.

If there's that much demand on DOGE, there's a chance that it will reach a dollar, but with it's inflationary feature, it will be hard knowing that the supply is infinite. We saw DOGE reached as high as $0.70 but it's because Elon Musk hyped it, and pumped it. Will DOGE reach a dollar? I've always thinking that anything is possible in crypto, but what are the chances of it to happen? TBH, I'm not expecting it to reach a dollar unless some influential person/group of people will try to pump it.

I still have doubts that it will reach a dollar, but who knows. We might see it during the upcoming bull run. Cheesy
826  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need your contribution and opinion on: November 14, 2023, 03:44:02 AM
I have a little knowledge but I need a guide. Bought some cryptocurrency like XRP and Bitcoin. Currently people only talk about Bitcoin but the price is very high for me to afford investing in it. I don't know why I feel like it's the only cryptocurrency worth investing and I would love to try  but am still learning gradually about it.
When I was the newbie, I've always wanted to buy Bitcoin as a whole, and when I mean as a whole, I mean 1 Bitcoin. A few days after, I learned that 1 Bitcoin can be divided into 100,000,000 Satoshis, and in fact you can buy fractions of a whole Bitcoin. OP, don't focus on acquiring 1 Bitcoin especially now that you're a newbie, and you don't have enough money to buy it. Of course when you are rich enough to buy one then go buy it, but if you really want to buy Bitcoin, at least buy fractions of it.

Learn first before investing. Equip yourself with knowledge first before investing your money. There are lots of information that you can get online. I'm a proof that I only learn at least the basics online. No mentors, no paid courses, all free. If I did, so can you OP. I feel that you are overwhelmed currently because you're a newbie, but just focus on learning first. If you have somebody that can guide you then it would be better.

You bought Bitcoin and XRP? I guess I can say that it's a good buy since you bought 2 of the top coins in terms of market cap. Just don't buy low market cap coins for now. Good luck with your journey. Smiley
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eloncoin will be massive. on: November 14, 2023, 03:16:31 AM
What more of his own coin.
For sure he has capabilities to create his own token if he wants to. Unfortunately for you, and for those Eloncoin token die hard supporters out there, this is only a fan-inspired token... or should I say, a token created just to scam people. Anyways, I don't want to call it a scam until they do... so yeah good luck in promoting that sh*tcoin.

People has been asking about the best altcoin to buy or hold and nobody ever thought of eloncoin, So there comes to the thought that eloncoin will be massive when it lunches. So it's time to accumulate eloncoin. His name alone has given it a massive boom.
Nobody would've thought about that sh*tcoin because it isn't popular, and nobody cares about that coin TBH. "Lunches"? It must be delicious then. Cheesy
Time to accumulate that sh*tcoin? What if I don't want to? I will say it again, if I will ever touch another meme coin, that would only be DOGE, and not any other meme coin out there especially with a project that obviously just used the word "ELON" just to gain popularity. Name alone has given it a massive boom? You'll must be delusional then. Tongue

I have tried to check it's total supply and exchanges which it could be operated, but I haven't seen. it's just a unique coin just as Elon musk always like his things to be. So I see it as one of the most important altcoin to hold because it future will be bright.

What do you guys think about eloncoin?
You can't see it's total supply because it hasn't been listed, but it doesn't mean that the coin is unique. Come out of your senses, and think twice with the coin you are promoting. Don't connect Elon Musk with the project especially with a sh*tcoin like Eloncoin. You're delusional, die-hard fan of Eloncoin. Well, if you invested in the coin you're promoting then just wait for it to rug pull you, and other investors out there. For sure many of us will laugh at you all. Cheesy

I watched this video more than 5x already. I think that many of us watched this video regarding how a reporter roasted Harden on live television and spanked him with the reality that he isn't the system, but he's the problem. For those who didn't watch the video here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE3_WfFei00

On the other hand, I saw this YouTube video that was uploaded hours after they lost to Memphis. On that video is a short clip of an interview with him, and here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrGLX6ueIT0. Basically, he said on the video that they're trying to figure it out together, and there's no negative atmosphere around the locker room even though they lost 4 in a row with him already. The Sixers now are playing way better since they traded Harden, and Maxey just recorded his first 50-point game in his career. He and Embiid are the best duos currently. Clippers are against the Nuggets in their next game. Automatic loss? As much as I want to say it, I don't want to because we just saw the Nuggets lose to the Rockets. Who'd expected that to happen? Only a few, so I would lean towards the fact that anything can happen still.

What are your thoughts on the Warriors' struggles? It's their second consecutive loss at home, and despite the scoreboard showing only a 6-point loss, there seems to be a lot happening behind those numbers. Clearly, the Warriors are facing huge challenges, and Curry is struggling to find support from his splash brother. I don't know, I think they need to start finding some consistent player and replace Klay on the line up, seems like he wasn't the same anymore after he suffered an injury.
Not enough help from other teammates offensively.

He's the oldest player who averages more than 20 PPG in their first 10 games. Let that sink in, and look how his teammates' scores in their past games. They are playing better in the first games, but they are now on a losing streak. I guess Coach Kerr knows what to do to his players. He'll make an adjustment soon. Replace Klay on the line-up? Who will? I mean I can't think of anybody.
829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holding for long might not be the best option. on: November 12, 2023, 08:16:18 AM

So what's your sudjestion on this.
Thanks for reminding me with my past experience with this one that you shared.

Brief history of mine. It wasn't BTC per se, but an altcoin that I bought at it's peak, and instead of selling it since I don't want to incur losses, I choose to hold it for a very long time. Fortunately, I sold that altcoin, but after 2 years, and the profit isn't worth it knowing I can make more money if I just made a stop loss, and invested it into other assets. I was newbie back then, and I learned from it. Smiley

Back to what you said, converting it to USDT would be a good choice, but I guess that it would be better to just sell it at a loss, and then re-buy it at a lower price. Take that mistake of yours as a lesson, and promise to yourself that you will make better decisions in the future.

~
Also what I do not understand is why people hold for more than one bull run. I think if any investor witnesses one bull run, they can sell and wait for another deep.
I know, I know, it's my mistake that I held during the 2021 Bull run. Please don't remind it for me. Tongue  Grin Grin

Like you said, I don't know my reason either why I choose not to sell all of the assets that I'm holding then wait for the bear market that happened a few months after the bull market. I believe that making the mistake once is still good as long as you learn from it, but doing the same mistake twice then there's a problem for you that's why I already decided to wait for the bull run then sell all of my assets at near it's peak. Whether it's my cryptocurrencies, or my stocks that gives me dividends, I will sell all of them when the bull market happens.
830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Investing against 2024 on: November 12, 2023, 07:55:14 AM
I am so elated each time I come into this forum and see thousands of members who are already outside the matrix doing great things and doing everything possible to get the novice and beginners up in the crypto world. I want to put it out here Iro know if possible we can get to know the intending coins that one could invest into against 2024. We need a good crypto analyst of wall street standard.
I'm having a hard time understanding your post, but it's ok. I also have some difficulties in constructing English sentences as well. Overtime, as you read threads here, and share your opinion thru making a post, you will learn how to make proper, and better sentences like I am (though I'm still not good either) . Smiley

Back to your post, why do we need an analyst of wall-street standard whatsoever? Hire me, I'm also an analyst. I make predictions base on what I see on the market. Tongue Kidding aside, whether it's an analyst, an expert analyst or an Average Joe, they only do one thing in common, and that is to predict the market. The only differences is their explanation towards their prediction, but still they can't predict the market with 100% accuracy.

Just focus on Bitcoin I guess, and if you will try to buy an Altcoin, go with Ethereum only. That is if you're a newbie.
831  Economy / Economics / Re: Being rich = not looking at price tag on: November 12, 2023, 07:04:25 AM
~
Imo, even if you are rich you wouldn't want to spend money on things that are not worthy of price being paid.

You wanna look at product and then it's price, if it's worthy of price, you purchase the product.
That is if the buyer is intelligent enough to know that thing.
Rich people don't buy rich things. If I'm rich, why would I spend my money buying something that's very expensive where I can buy a cheaper one on the other store. It's called "being practical."

I guess I'll just assume that the term "they don't have to look at price tag of product" as some kind of metaphor, but still it's kind of non-sense. Cheesy I mean who in the hell will buy something, and will not look at it's price tag. Cheesy For the newbies out there who thinks like this, maybe it's time for you to wake up, and realize that whenever you're rich or poor, you will always look at it's price tag to know the price. Just pure common sense Grin
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 12, 2023, 06:32:20 AM
Yeah, I cannot say if he is really back or not. The Middleton that I wish to see is the All-Star caliber that we have seen in the season before they became a champion. But yes, not bad for 20 minutes, I just wish for consistency because Giannis will need all the help he can get without Lillard. Before, it was Jrue Holiday who would fill that hole so I guess right now it's up to him.
How do you expect a player that isn't the 1st or 2nd option offensively? I don't think that it will ever happen again.

This is the risk that the Bucks' front office did. They exchanged an all-around player to a player that's one of the best in offense, but one of the worst in defense. They traded a facilitator, a defender to a player who doesn't even know how to defend. Yes Dame is very good in shooting, but how about now that he's not playing. The Bucks are at the bottom in terms of defense as of the moment. They're are at the top last season.

As for Middleton, I don't expect too much from anymore as he only the 3rd option now in offense. Sure he might still have some 20 point nights, but to expect him to be like an all-star? Don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure if that will still happen.

Let me quote:

Quote
"Because James — you're not The Beard, you're not the system, you're the problem."
~
And now he is with the Clippers and it seems to be another bad marriage or will turn out to be very bad.
For sure Harden will not admit that because he has this one thing that's on his mind. What it is? EGO.
He don't even want to start off the bench anymore even though his team is having a hard time already. I know it's too early to say that he must start off the bench now that he's with the new team, but at least he needs to make some adjustments to be fit with the team.

I don't want to make a conclusion still, but with how the Clippers played in the last 3 games with him, I guess we can all say that "He really is the problem." Cheesy. Still, I expect for some changes within the team within the next few days if Coach Ty Lue sees that the experiment failed.

Some bad news for the Sixers… Kelly Oubre Jr. was hit by a car near his house in Philadelphia on Saturday night. I can’t remember an NBA player getting hit by a car before… The circumstances haven’t been told yet to my knowledge, but let us hope it was just a freak accident and not something much more sinister. I hope he gets well quickly.
I quote a part of the text coming from one legit sports website:
Quote
ESPN also reported that several representatives from the 76ers franchise, including president Daryl Morey, were with Oubre at the hospital. He is expected to miss significant time due to his injuries, but it is anticipated that he will return this season.
At least it's not a season-ending injury, but I still wonder if he will still the same when he returns. It's quite unfortunate for the player already if you will get sidelined for a long time because an injury. What more if it's an accident? Sh*t happens, and like you, I guess it's my first time to see an NBA player getting injured because of a car.

Dude's playing on maybe one of his best seasons in his career already, but sh*t happens. I just wish him a speedy recovery.

Re: How do you avoid scammers?
Just think of this quote. "If it's too good to be true, it's not true."
A simple yet powerful quote that will prevent you from getting scammed.

Always think realistically. If some new projects used the word "GUARANTEE", and "RISK-FREE" then yes it's a guarantee - GUARANTEED SCAM. If a new project says that it will give you 10% monthly, that's a scam. If a project says that you will not lose your money if you invest it into them, then it's a scam. TBH, I don't want to overcomplicate things, and thinking of many ways to know which are scams and which are not.

There are many Youtube videos that are giving some tips for newbies on how not to get scammed, but basically this is what I'm thinking whenever I want to invest into something. A scam project will promote high returns because that's what makes a project attractive to the investors. Well that's the common way, but point is, there are many ways for you to identify is they're scamming you or not.
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bull run best time to promote Bitcoin related affiliate programs? on: November 12, 2023, 05:49:21 AM
I feel that when Bitcoin is reaching peak prices, all news sites cover the news. As a result, lot of new users come to Bitcoin. As a result, this can be a good time to invest in promotion of crypto affiliate programs. The chances for conversions will be higher as Bitcoin popularity will already be in mind of people.
Well, people are getting very excited when they see the crypto market going up, and up thus, many new investors get excited as well, and will invest into crypto.

As an promoter, I guess it's the best time to promote some programs that you're affiliated with as long as it isn't a scam website. I will not any particular websites that has an affiliate program, but there are many of those who are still online until now, and as an promoter, you take advantage of it. You said it already that it the conversions will be higher as more people will jump, and will invest into crypto as they are excited.

I guess it's a no brainer already that you need to promote the program even more when the bull run starts though in general, I think people are still promoting those programs whether the market is in a bull run, or the opposite of it. Nevertheless, as long as you are promoting legit websites then there's nothing wrong about it.
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 11, 2023, 03:52:21 PM
I mean averaging 18.8 ppg and 2.4 blocks per game on your rookie year is still great. We need to remember that Wembanyama is having his first ever season, he is just a rookie, and it's his early games. He is not suppose to end up playing like a superstar right away, he could be just very well doing fine, and that is understandable and there is nothing wrong with that, as long as the dude is making sure that he stays healthy, I would consider that a win for him.
~
The problem is the hype is just too much that people are expecting him to play like a superstar in his rookie season.
This is the problem when the media is overhyping you. This is the problem with Wembanyama, but it seems like he's unbothered, and he's just playing, and playing.

His averages in his first games are great TBH. It's just that, people are expecting him to have like 20+ PPG, and with his height and 8-foot wingspan, many expect him to have a double-double average right from the start. I'm not saying all are expecting like that, but I'm sure there are some, especially those Spurs fans out there. Kind of ridiculous, but as for me, I think there's a chance that he'll be an all-star in his rookie season. The last player who did that was Blake Griffin. Dude's a future franchise player of the team already. Just give him some time, and lower the expectations. Smiley He'll be a superstar someday that's for sure.

LA Clippers 0-3 now with James Harden. The Clippers already have a strong team so it's hard to see how James Harden fits in. Clippers doing well without Harden and his style might cause more problems than solutions. Maybe he could come off the bench to help but that's not guaranteed if he doesn't agree. If Jame Harden don't want to go bench trading him might be an option again. Lmao. Even without Harden the Clippers are still a top team especially when Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are fit and playing.
3 games is just a small number for us to make a conclusion, but it seems like the team doesn't have the chemistry.
It's simply Harden, and Westbrook don't co-exist with each other.

They played really well when they were still in Thunder, but when they were in Houston, things got really awkward, and they didn't fit to play with the same team together. Now they're 0-3 like you said, and I will not be surprised if either one of them will be traded. Harden is holding the ball so much that even Kawhi is sometimes upset with it. 3 games like I said is just a small number. Maybe let's look at their record after playing 7 games more with Harden, then let's make a conclusion. Smiley

Though loss for Bucks. Especially when it was Giannis' career night. He couldn't break his career high record, he was too tired in the last period. Bucks could only score 8 points in last 7 minutes, besides last 3-point which is meaningless. Pacers played the ending better and won. Turner and Mathurin helped Haliburton for this win. Mathurin made a career high with 26 points.
I haven't watched Damian Lillard with Bucks jersey yet but I could imagine how good they would be without injuries.
It was surprising that Lillard didn't play after carrying the Bucks in their previous game. The Bucks had a chance to win, but Giannis got really tired in the end after putting in a massive effort and scoring 54 points. It was still a good game, but for bettors, the Pacers won, and I think a lot of them lost on this one.
Is it really surprising? Lillard's suffering from right calf soreness, thus he didn't play.

The Bucks are just awful in defense that's why they lost. From one of the top last season in defensive rating to near bottom currently. Giannis had the opportunity to carry the team, but the problem is there is no 2nd player who can help him... or there is. It's just that the underrated Pacers lead by Haliburton really worked hard to win. Last season, I said that the Pelicans are considered the "Dark Horse" of the league, but they played miserably since Zion got injured. This season, it seems like the Pacers are the ones who will surprise us because of how good they are currently. 6-3 is already a good start for them. I just hope it will continue.

I also liked Pacers tonight but I guess Sixers and Celtics are in better shape than these teams in the East.

Yeah, the Sixers and Celtics have always been consistent. It's no surprise for the Celtics, but I'm pleasantly surprised with the Sixers. They've improved this season, especially after letting go of James Harden. They should be strong contenders for the championship.
I see 2 reasons why the Sixers are playing better at the start of the season despite Harden not on the team anymore.
1. Maxey really stepped up pretty well.
2. They got an underrated player who's an efficient scorer as well in Kelly Oubre Jr.

Many (including me I guess) already said before the start of the season that the East will be a battle of Celtics, and the Bucks, but it seems like we need to add the Sixers to the conversation. I mean they're 6-1 currently, and it's only the start of the season, but they're playing pretty well already. I hope that Maxey will continue to play like this all throughout the whole season. Maxey, and Embiid is a good offensive duos.

And I suggest that if it starts again, it's best to just play Bitcoin and don't play with too many different types or play too many altcoins. I know that sometimes altcoins are able to provide greater profits than bitcoin when bitcoin experiences a 10 percent increase, but altcoins are also able to provide greater losses.
Giving him the suggestion of focusing on just Bitcoin instead of altcoins will not help him either because in general, if you don't know how to trade, your money will just go *POOF* especially in futures trading where you can earn more, but you can lose more as well because of leverage.

We have almost the same experience with your friend. I did some good trades in the past as well, but one wrong entry, and add also the fact that I didn't put a stop loss made me lose all of my trading capital. After that, I stopped trading as well. Your suggestion will not help him that much. Whether it will be Bitcoin, or altcoin, the chances of you losing is still the same. It's not the coin that's the problem. It's your friend.

Maybe your friend needs to really focus on Bitcoin, but not for trading, but for holding.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $300 Million Crypto Scam in India. on: November 10, 2023, 04:08:15 AM
Where did it happen? Ohhh in India? The country which is famous for scamming other people. I don't want to generalize the country as a whole, but many Indians are scammers. Well, I guess I'm watching Youtube channels who are baiting, and hacking those Indians scammers too much that I think of the whole country as scammers.

TBH, since I've seen many Youtube videos that is exposing Indian scammers, I didn't surprised that they can make a scam this huge. Government official getting involved? I'm not even surprised that they are involved TBH. Most of the government officials are corrupt, and include also the fact that they have the power. Authorities, and those who have knowledge in crypto are milking those newbies and those who are financially illiterate. Kind of sad, but that's how the world is. Some will go up, some will go down.

Overall, nothing surprising especially it's the Indians who are perpetrators in this crypto scam. I just hope that those who got scammed will learn on this mistake.

Now that I saw this thread, I remembered a user here who created a thread, and basically the contents of that thread is him selling his land property then used all of that money to buy Bitcoin. Take note that at the time he created the thread and bought Bitcoin, the price of it was near the bottom. I guess around $18,000 more or less.

If you're here and you read this, quote my post and link your thread that you created. Cheesy Bottomline is those who took risk at when the market is down a few months ago are the ones who have the most profits right now. Those who bought Bitcoin at near $17,000 or let's just say $20,000, they nearly doubled their money already. Holding it for a few months, and there's a chance that their money might triple or even more.

It's all about risk, and decisions. You take the risk, and you make good decisions, you will get profit. You take the risk, didn't follow the herd, and did the opposite then there's a chance that you will double your money in no time.

Yeah, most likely there could be some profit taking as December is holidays, and everyone wanted to have fun with their families, maybe go on a vacation so they will have to take some from their stash and sell for money.

But we are still good though if the price goes back to $30k'ish in January, usually at the start of the year it will be slow to us and then most likely pick it up leading up to the bitcoin block halving.

So it's understandable, the most important thing for those who sell is to still pick up some at the start of the year and continue to accumulate as much as they can.
This is the reason why I don't want to follow what most of the people are doing. This is also the reason why my funds for investing, and for travelling are different. I don't want to sell my assets just for the sake of holidays.

I agree that there are some who might take profit in December because they need money to be used in the holidays. I will do the opposite especially when the halving is just a few months after December. Just a little bit of patience, and forget selling during the month of December. I will just celebrate after I sell all of my assets during the bull run.

Well, it's my own strategy only, and don't criticize me. Cheesy
