841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 04, 2023, 02:05:16 PM
Yes, at that time, the odds are really not in favor of Casimero because his weight is really dragging him down and making him inactive in the industry because of the same problem and just like what happened when he got stripped before he fought Butler, that might happen too if his fight with Inoue have been restored. But that just cannot be as after Covid subsided, another variant hit them again and made the government of Japan to close their borders to all foreign people.
Many events occurred during that time that led to Casimero losing his belt. However, we can still experience the excitement we've been missing in the bantamweight division if Inoue becomes a champion again and Casimero becomes a contender, as they are now in the same super bantamweight division. Let's hope this fight materializes, as it will undoubtedly satisfy the fans who have been eagerly awaiting this highly anticipated matchup.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 04, 2023, 01:20:16 PM
According to the latest news I've read, there is only one team that Damian Lillard wants to be traded to now and that is the Miami Heat. (Shams Charania)

If this trade happens, it will be very good for the Miami Heat.
Do you think this trade will happen?
This rumor has been around during this trade war and I think it's very plausible that Dame will be out of Portland and likely to get on Heat.
That's the Heat is also rumored to offer a trade that's hard to decline just for Dame but we shall see the trade rumor happen within the next few days, maybe.

Of course it will be beneficial to Miami Heat, that is if Dame remains healthy throughout the season. In the beginning of last season, they are one of the best team until Dame got injured, and then it went downhill for them. Even if he comes back, it's kinda too late as they went deep in the standing.

And now that they've lost 2 of their players, Vincent and Struss, then they might need a guy that can help Bam and Jimmy in offense.

So Dame might be a good fight for them in the long run. Another MVP caliber player, downside is that he is now injury prone.

They retained Martin because they believe in his talent. Of course, the Heat could let Vincent and Struss go because they are expecting a high-profile player to join, most likely Dame. In fact, they are offloading some players just to accommodate him. They are taking a significant risk for Lillard, so it would be a mess if he were to get injured in case this trade would really happen.
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: July 03, 2023, 11:31:09 AM
I would say not immediately when the bull season began. Only few top alts mostly pump alongside btc from the beginning, rest of the alts usually takes a bit of time before joining the bull party. But you know every circle comes with a different twist, this period will be very different because of these layer2 and Web3 projects we have currently in the market who haven't experience any bull season.
I wouldn't be investing heavily on alts just yet.
What happened to the past will possibly happen again during the upcoming bull season but of course, we can't point out how big it increase. That is why it remains uncertain, however, due to the trust and belief that top altcoins will pump bullish, we keep holding them and wait that moment to come. Having been a part of the 2 bull runs, I could say that many shitcoins had surprisingly moved high than top coins. And I'll be expecting this kind of event in new projects.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy BNB? on: July 03, 2023, 10:10:38 AM
I have bought some BNB because I believe they will prevail against the SEC Lawsuit. This is my personal opinion and of course I am prepared for this risk. But there is nothing wrong with betting on your own choice. Maybe XRP has experienced the same thing but they don't have a big exchange market like Binance. This will make the difference in price and development between XRP and BNB.
Apparently, the price is quite improving and went well after a drop when the issue started. This will tell us that BNB is something that we can rely on and just like other known and potential coins, it will rise and recovers back. Yes, as we talk about XRP, their issue is been so long but hasn't ended yet and it is still surviving. I couldn't expect this would also happen to BNB but yeah, we can't tell what is their plan and what is the next move taken between both parties. Of course, I would agree, BNB still has the potential and good investment.
845  Economy / Gambling / Re: won cash x drop but no prize?? on: July 03, 2023, 05:12:01 AM
Are you sure OP that you are visiting the right site? Because many claims that some people are using known sites and running such promotions but in the end, they'll get nothing. Their intention is to ruin the reputation of that known gambling site. I'm doubted that was legit promotion because they will respond to you if that is true but since they are silent and have no response, absolutely would think similar to what I think. However, it needs proof otherwise, it was a false claim...
846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How big is your optimism for crypto investment? on: July 03, 2023, 04:51:10 AM
I'm not surprised by the results of the survey. Whether Bitcoin will do better over the next year feels less certain than that it will do great over the next decade. That's because we can all see the general upward price trend of Bitcoin, but also that a bear market can take a few years, give or take.
I believe it makes sense to assume we'll see a couple of bull market over the next decade, and while Bitcoin does take 3 steps forward and then 2 steps back, it's still clear progress in terms of the increase of its value.
For me it's also not a surprise, because crypto investment in BTC and top altcoins has been doing nicely on long term. A simple analysis done by investors will indicate they are doing the right thing by investing in crypto thinking in a time period of few years at least to keep their portfolios untouched and safely stored. So they must really feel optimistic about this. They actually have more arguments and facts to maintain their optimism intact than early investors had on the initial years of Bitcoin, when everything looked new, uncertain and unclear.
I can understand why it was declining due to trust issue that has been created by these influencer and self-proclaimed experts. And plus the wrong scam issues involving the name Bitcoin which is why the majority have no plan to invest and hold long-term as they change their mind to short-term deals. It is a changing sentiment that have also a huge impact on the market views and so the scamming and hacking incidents continue, and investors become uncertain as to what they do next.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats going on with Bitcoin Cash BCH? on: July 02, 2023, 09:02:30 PM
~
Although it seems to me that this is one of the rather old coins, there are times when it is unexpected to see it still receive attention from the community, and the pump/dump games still happen.
I am not following the technical development of BCH, the hype was there when the fork happened and the debate of big blocks was ongoing but then it died out and we are not hearing much from any of the major preachers who were promoting the coin  Cheesy, either they are not updating anything here in this forum and hence i am not following their developments and i would happily invest in BTC rather than BCH.
BCH was absolutely not important to us, it has no value. It was surprising that it pumps after a few years in silence but still, this won't change the insights of the community. Yes, we expect someone behind this short pump but we never heard any news mentioning the reason why. However, there is no time of digging it, in fact, it never gives interest to the people which is why it is moving down back again. And this is really what will happen in a project that doesn't have support from the investors and traders because what the team can do is to show a fake pump but still they fail.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 02, 2023, 01:16:17 PM
LaMelo Ball and Tyrese Haliburton both getting five-year max contracts sounds crazy. I think it's a huge gamble for their teams but I hope it pays off for the Hornets and the Pacers hehe. The team's respective head coaches have a big task of keeping these players motivated and disciplined.
Their efforts have paid off, as they secured a max contract due to their young age, which indicates that they are expected to contribute more to the team. While they may not currently play for a championship team, we cannot definitively predict their future, as any team has the potential to develop, just like the Nuggets did when they made history last season in both the regular and postseason.

Meralco +12.5 @1.96 vs Magnolia

I hope this time around that both underdogs will cover the spread or win their games tonight.
Magnolia continues their dominant performance, but hopefully, Meralco will be able to cover the spread. Currently, Magnolia is already leading by double digits, but the game is far from over. Hopefully, you'll secure a win on that. By the way, congratulations on your win in the first game! Blackwater did a great job and came out victorious.
850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Luck is what you need in gambling but you have to get to work with trading on: July 02, 2023, 11:26:38 AM
This is a very important difference for trading and gambling. Apart from the rigorous time of proper and professional learning of the ropes which are so many to mention, from learning the general market analysis, currencies and coins interphase and interaction like $ especially, you now begin to learn how to operate on the trading platform or channel, how to place orders and what have you including stoploss, take profit, trailing stop, all the buy limit and sell limit plus your emotions all have to be learnt. Most important difference therefore is you can learn or relearn on the mistakes you made but I don't really know if we can call anything mistake in gambling rather we consider it as bad luck on that day.
Learning how to trade is a big task, not a lot of people can do that and I believe that it is going to take a while before people really learn what they are doing. I know that it is not going to be that simple, but I know it is going to be available to focus on what they could potentially do. One of the biggest examples of this would be making sure that we are not really trading what we know, we are trading what we think we know without learning.
That is why I don't force someone to get involved in trading if they know that they can do the job and carry the risk. And it was to know that trading is not for everybody, so if we think luck could help us, we'd rather leave and forget trading instead, choose to gamble.
Quote
If you end up learning it well enough then you are going to end up with a trouble beyond measure. I hope that it gets to be a situation where everyone realizes that learning is a core part of trading. Gambling on the other hand? You do not need to learn anything after you learned the rules of the game.
Well, in gambling we don't need to become pros or experts, at least having some knowledge is enough as we just rely on luck which is a pretty different approach to trading it indeed needs to have good knowledge and we know how to communicate with the market sentiment.
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Return Of Terra Luna Classic on: July 02, 2023, 09:02:30 AM
I wish they don't do that anymore and make the name Luna heard again. It is better they use another name that possibly gains more market engagement and interest but carrying the name Luna, it only reminds us of what they did before - terrible losses. I have no doubt that this won't gain demand, even a newbie already knows their issue in the past so I don't think they could win the trust of the community rather than failing.

It is better not to continue their plan, they only ignored and wasted their efforts.
852  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: July 01, 2023, 09:31:45 PM
You may call it a contest where those who predict correctly wins the prizes. The difference between this and gambling is that here you are just participating in prediction without investing your own money while in gambling you would invest your own money in order to participate in prediction.
Anyways I do agree that most people will consider these two scenarios as same and will treat both of them as gambling.
people don't understand the context here, can gambling without money be called gambling, it doesn't mean that participating in a contest can be called gambling even though playing gambling or competition because without using money it's hard to say it's gambling because there's nothing at stake, even in my opinion it's gambling using fake money or demo game can also be called gambling but unfortunately it is only fake money as a demo.
We cannot consider any betting without money as gambling. There are some situations where money is not exchanged but is treated as a bet. I have some friends who sometimes bet with some others friends where they don't prioritize money. But if they lose the bet they are obliged to give treats. Can i consider such bets as gambling? Definitely not, Because there is no direct relation to money. Moreover, no one has any regrets even if they lose.
That kind of play is different in gambling bets as this certainly talks about money and should be placed upon betting. Gambling is money, apart from that can't be considered gambling anymore as the loser will oblige to pay for his lost bets from his pocket and there is a sort of feelings or emotions. And to that example that you've cited, despite the fact that you lose, you are still happy doing it, treating your friends, unlike the feeling that you lose from gambling - that was a disappointment.
853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We All Know, The halving time will be full of drama on: July 01, 2023, 08:50:31 PM
but I don't know why many people forget and still spread FUD everywhere. If they understand that and know it always happens on every 4 years, they shall be calm and relaxed to face SEC, Binance, or anything drama.
I don't believe those who spread FUD around halving time forget anything. It's a strategy to cause panic and dump so they can get in at lower prices. It's whales doings and every close watcher shouldn't get distracted by that. I first experienced this scenario in 2017. After that I made up my mind not to be shaken by anything negative on Bitcoin anymore. I encourage everyone to be resolute hodling Bitcoin till next bull rally and expected ATH in 2025 before taking profit.
Perhaps, it was an effective strategy that these whales are using because it has to know that people are still believing what they hear from others especially if they are using influential people. It really creates panic and a huge market crash, then whales take advantage of the situation and succeed in their plan. Even though we know that thing already still a lot of people never thought about it and they think it was real. That is why whales never stop doing this because they know that it is still working and benefiting a lot.
854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a Morning Routine have any Effect as a Day Trader? on: July 01, 2023, 08:33:38 PM
There is something we need to do every morning and have to keep our body make ready for the day's activity. It was been said that once we are active and healthy, we are also productive and the results are overwhelming which is why doing some morning routine is a big help for us. It was just a sort of short exercise that is good enough as we don't need to burn all our energy doing this, we have also to leave some energy for the whole day working. We need to have a fresh mind before trading as this will affect on making decisions.
855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins ? on: July 01, 2023, 01:40:16 PM
I don't like it, but I still take the opportunity to get profit, because only investing in meme coin that can give me a big profits quickly, but of course the risk is also very big, therefore I always invest under $100 in meme coin (the money that I'm ready to lose) and of course I only invest in meme coin that are currently popular and hype, because the price must be very easy to increase very high and give me profit.
That was a smart decision, indeed. The hype they've made makes investors earn a profit in a short period of time which is the best choice for impatient people, and that was absolutely their opportunity. Actually, investors have their preferred way of earning here and it was to see that many people are participating in meme coins hyped compared to those who hold longer. I'd see the changing mindset of the people, they are more impatient and they wanted instant which is why they choose to take the hype despite the risk.
856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or not? BTC investors need to rethink their strategy as on: July 01, 2023, 12:01:40 PM
The decision whether or not to HODL in these situations comes down to each of us' preferences and risk tolerance. Decision making to HODL or not should be based on fundamental analysis and long term assessment. Therefore, taking the decision to HODL or not depends on factors such as illiquid supply of BTC, changes in investor sentiment, Bitcoin growth, legal action against exchanges, and risk evaluation and portfolio management. It is important for us to do an in-depth analysis and follow an investment strategy that suits our goals.
It always has a reason and for me, I hold Bitcoin because I believe that it will pump when the bull season comes. Of course, it doesn't mean that holding is forever, we sell them as well at the perfect time. As long as we can manage to hold, it will be the best thing to do but if we can't, I don't think it was good to push ourselves as it only contradicts our interest. Yes, we have to choose the best thing that we think is right but of course, we also have to listen to the opinion of the others and re-think it.
857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: June 30, 2023, 03:59:55 PM

The kind of excuse Nonito might give in case he loses is expected and somewhat acceptable, considering that it's already a bonus in his career that he is still fighting at his age. However, we all know that Donaire is not fond of making excuses. So, if he were to lose, he might just hang up his gloves and retire from the sport.

The public would indeed understand and, in fact, it wouldn't be surprising if they commend his courage for continuing to fight even in his 40s. His career is far from over, especially if he chooses to compete in divisions where he feels most comfortable. There is a significant possibility that he will continue to dominate in those divisions.

If he eventually decides to retire, I am confident that he will feel fulfilled based on his records and achievements.

Donaire is a four-weight-division world champion

858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2023, 02:59:27 PM

The good thing is that it's not difficult to find players willing to play for the Warriors at a lower contract, as the team has a reputation for developing players through their strong program.
You make a valid point, as many role players who have played with the Warriors have shown significant improvement. The team's system is excellent, serving as a strong training ground for these players.

Consequently, their value tends to increase when their contracts expire and they choose not to re-sign with the Warriors. It remains crucial for the Warriors to retain their core group of players. The addition of CP3 is a major boost, assuming he remains free from injuries.
859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 100% win rate possible? on: June 30, 2023, 02:20:53 PM
While I was on section in my account, I was wondering if it is possible for someone to simply have a technique that gets them 100% - 98% win rates.

Knowing the game's pattern, what to bet on and what not to gamble on, the winning and losing numbers, and so on, would I still be able to achieve a 100% win rate?

The only way you can achieve a 100% win rate is by cheating! There is no way you will consistently win more than 50% against casinos with a house edge. Their systems are designed to give them an advantage, ensuring they win in the long run. If you've heard of a system or betting method that claims to provide a 100% win rate, it is undoubtedly a scam. It's best to stay away and instead focus on studying the risks and returns of gambling to have a more realistic perspective.
860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2023, 12:35:16 PM

Irving may be the player I am most curious about which team he will go to right now. Many say the Dallas Maverics are favorites and will play for this team. However, according to the latest reports, Phoenix Suns is also interested in Irving and a meeting is expected between them today.
If he can sign with the Suns, we will see a very good team. One of the champion candidates of the next season may be the Phoenix Suns Smiley

The good thing about it is that there are lots of teams that are interested in getting him, and this is a good sign that he will stay in the league for a long time because whatever they say about the guy, he is still one of the great Point Guard in the NBA and also he won the championship because of it so there's no doubt about it. He can be a big help if he stayed in Dallas because they already lose Porzingis there and I think Luka really need him to get to the NBA playoffs if they can be useful playing together because right now, all they need to do is to be synchronized together and be the same when it comes to their mindsets on bringing back the Dallas to the NBA championships.
Dallas would be better off without Irving with this current roster in my opinion. I agree that Irving is one of the best point guards in the league right now and even with right players in his team, he would be one of the best in the league and their team would be the title contender. Suns would be good for him but I don't think a perfect place. I saw the news that it is also hard for Suns economically. It seems like Irving is stuck with Dallas. I don't think it is working for both of them. For the Mavs, of course the key is Doncic. If he is indeed in good shape now, things can change. But he definitely needs a right team to achieve his true potential. Also definitely have to be in a better shape.
Let's give him one more season. He joined the Dallas team towards the end of the season, and despite having some great games leading the team, it was evident that there were chemistry issues between him and Luka, which resulted in many losses when they played together.

However, during this offseason, I'm confident they are working to resolve those issues.

So let's wait and see the outcome of the next season. If the problem persists, then it indicates that he truly doesn't fit with the Dallas Mavericks.
