861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Preparations for BTC Halving and bull market on: September 16, 2023, 08:36:29 PM
Your investment plan is great. However, if I may suggest, do not just focus on bitcoin but also take some risk from established altcoins. Others are even risking a lot through investing in meme coins but I won't suggest doing that because the probability rate to profit is like 50/50. Just prepare a higher allocation funds for bitcoin and diversify it with some potential altcoins that until now still on top of the marketcap.
862  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin and get rich quick syndrome on: September 16, 2023, 07:29:41 PM
People perceived bitcoin wrongly because they don't actually know it or understand it deeply. What they only believe are the heresays about bitcoin as getting rich quick. But if they will decide to invest in bitcoin personally and their expectations for consistent profits is not achieved, probably that's the time that they will correct their wrong perception about bitcoin. Bitcoin is hardly earned at some point so people should never see it as the easiest way to establish their wealth.

On another news, John Amores join the PBA Draft, do you think he will get drafted?

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/john-amores-focused-on-pba-bid-after-punching-incident-in-ncaa-a795-20230913

We will find out tomorrow whether he gets drafted or not, but if you ask me, everyone deserves a second chance. The guy has had anger management issues in the past but has been able to control himself. For more information, we can look at the players who have applied for the draft pick.

Check this article.

I'm not very familiar with the players who have applied for this draft. I think I only know one, and that's the most popular one: Ricci Rivero. He's well-known, partly because he used to date Andrea Brillantes, so he's quite famous, hehe. Hopefully, the team that drafts him will become popular, especially if they are in need of a talented point guard.
864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 16, 2023, 10:52:39 AM
It would be interesting to see Dwight Howard back in the NBA, perhaps on a different team. If he were to join the Warriors, I think it could greatly benefit them, especially in the paint. I understand that Howard is no longer in his prime, but his experience and attitude as a player could bring a high level of energy to the team. He wouldn't necessarily need to play heavy minutes, as they already have Looney who can consistently do the job. Howard could serve as a valuable backup.

As far as I know, the Warriors have been exploring the possibility of signing a reserve veteran big man for a few weeks now, and it looks like Howard could be a good option for them. The meetings in the Warriors' front office will definitely be very important for Howard because if he really wants to return to the NBA, he should accept all the terms and the role in the team that will be offered to him.

There's no doubt that Howard will have to accept it, it's a veteran's minimum and it's appropriate for him. And with this physically, I think he will be given the task to just take the boards and intimated anyone inside if they are going to penetrate the Warriors lane and play some D.

This is his role when he was with the NBA champions Lakers back then in the bubble and it's quite fun to see him guarding big centers and given them a hard time even though he is no longer in his prime.

Howard understands his role as a new player joining the team. He isn't in his prime anymore, so he won't be in the starting lineup, which is good for him as it will minimize the risk of injury. The problem the Warriors had last season was allowing too many points in the paint. With Howard on the roster, I believe that will be minimized.

This is great news for NBA fans, especially Warriors fans, as they are on a mission for the upcoming season after the disappointment of last season following their championship win.
865  Economy / Economics / Re: To afford personal education or a property? Where to allocate funds? on: September 15, 2023, 09:30:50 PM
Investing in good education is like investing for our future wealth. That will always be a word of wisdom most particularly at the time of our parents. However, the present time demands a more different life's perspective. If you want to improve and make remarkable changes in your life, then invest into something productive like landed properties as early as now. Education can wait and will always be possible with the different educational resources online, but this one opportunity to invest is just one of a lifetime opportunity so you have to grab it now before the chance has finally gone.
866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How valuable BTC has become overtime on: September 15, 2023, 08:33:30 PM
Probably the best time to invest in bitcoin not because the market value is down, but perhaps it could be a good preparation for the upcoming bitcoin halving. Also, if we can establish our bitcoin investment this early, at least we can buy the latest iPhone model as easy as that. However, as long as I have my working phone, I won't be tempted to buy iPhone because I just think its price is never reasonable at all.
867  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 15, 2023, 02:36:32 PM
Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the stars that Milwaukee has and is it true that Giannis will really leave Milwaukee to look for opportunities with another team that could potentially take him to the top and win the NBA?
If this is true perhaps Milwaukee will have a very difficult time finding a replacement player like Giannis.

Giannis' desire to leave will likely depend on whether the Bucks can have any success in the next couple of seasons or not. It's worth noting that Giannis has a guaranteed contract through the end of the 24/25th season, and the 25/26th season will be a player option. With that in mind, I think Giannis will stay with the Bucks for at least two more seasons, and if they can't win another title during that time, he will likely leave the Bucks.

The desire to leave was already there. He might finish the upcoming season, but since the succeeding season will be a player option, he could use that to sign with another team and leave the Bucks. Although we can consider the outcome of the upcoming season, let's say they will win a championship, that could change his mind. But let's be realistic, can the current Bucks roster still be capable of winning a championship? I believe most of us would say no, and even bookies have rated them that way, as they aren't included in the top 3 teams that are favorites to win a championship.
868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 15, 2023, 01:50:28 PM
I am also positive that Inoue might stay for some time and maybe will accept some challengers once he holds all the belts, more on the moneymaking side.

Though still early to assume and we never know if things will go according to how most of the fans seen the possible
outcome of this upcoming possible fight between Inoue and Tapales.

It's not only about making money but also about enhancing his skills. If we were solely discussing money, he could move up in weight again and take a gamble by fighting the champion, which I'm sure would bring in a lot of money for him, especially if the fight were held in the USA. So let's see if his plan doesn't change once he acquires all the belts. Staying for long doesn't make sense when it's evident how he dominates the champions, and it looks like a big mismatch.

I guess his Japanese manager is really conservative as they don't want to go to US to fight and would rather stay in Japan. So it could be bad for him (not been exposed to US fans), or good as well, (they are in their comfort zone).

So we can't really blame Inoue, but as far as he is staying, maybe just 1 or 2 fights, and I think he will have to go to 126 lbs or vacant some of the belts at 122 lbs if he wanted to remain there. He can't defend all 4 belts in a given calendar year.

But they need to understand that if they want to become a world champion, they also need to be popular worldwide. Inoue is already popular, but he chooses to fight more within his country, which is not good if he wants to earn more money. There is plenty of money in Vegas; maybe he should consider granting the fans' request and taking a bit of a risk. Besides, if he's worried that judges might be unfair with their decision, then he should ensure that he will win via KO. I'm sure it's not hard for him as he is a KO artist.
869  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If they have the ability why would they sell? on: September 14, 2023, 09:56:51 PM
I often get invitations to Telegaram groups, in the end the admin offers a premium signal group but I'm not interested. Because in my opinion, if they can predict signals correctly, why are they still looking for profits through members? This is what makes me uninterested, as if there is something they want to do with the aim of getting rid of us. So, if you are invited to join a singles group, it's best not to. Doing your own research and trading independently is much more satisfying.

But what makes me wonder is how come this signal group has so many members and there are testimonials from its members who say it is one hundred percent safe and proven. I wonder if there is a conspiracy with the perpetrators?
Most likely, they are paid testimonies just to promote their trading signals. Or worst is that these trading signals providers are the ones who are also leaving positive reviews on their own group. So if you don’t make a deep research, you will not know that these are all lies and anyone who fall on their strategy will certainly regret in the end.
870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it too late to seek a new beginning? on: September 14, 2023, 03:38:15 PM
Do your due diligence to explore more the forum and learned from them and when you think you’ve gained sufficient amount of knowledge, and you’re ready to take some risk, then you can start buying bitcoin even at a small amount. Choose your own crypto wallet that will safely store your bitcoin. I suggest go for a cold storage if you sim to hold longer of your coins without intending to sell at a relatively short period of time. Through DCA, you can increase the volume of your bitcoin which you intend to sell only if their prices have reach an all time high.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: September 14, 2023, 02:02:06 PM
However, finding verified groups can provide good information is hard. Usually, these groups are not shared publicly;

This is indeed correct. If there's a group that is consistently profitable in sports betting, it will likely operate privately, with only a select few people in the know. The fewer people who know, the better it is for them as they can protect their interests. When the general public becomes aware of a particular betting group, bookmakers are more likely to adjust their odds to avoid significant losses, ensuring they still come out on top.

That's why we have what's called 'public bets' and 'sharp bets.' Public bets tend to lose more often, which is why only a few individuals or groups genuinely succeed in gambling.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the new Apple toys & Invest in Bitcoin, history always repeat itself. on: September 13, 2023, 09:52:09 PM
If people are as wise as you OP, then they will not be rushing to invest their money into apple iPhones but will buy as much as bitcoin as they can because that will definitely give them significant profits in time. However, with the desire to ride the trend and the fear of missing out, people will not be blamed if they allocate some funds into their favorite iPhones. But at least they should know that it’s value will never upgrade after a couple of months, but only bitcoin will surely skyrocket its value after months and years from buying.
873  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which is more profiting self trade or AI on: September 11, 2023, 05:40:50 PM
Would you prefer to entrust your trade on an automated robot that doesn’t even know what the future will be for trading market? I supposed no because robots will never feel and can’t predict what the future it’s like most especially for a very volatile market. That’s why I don’t see it reasonable trusting AI over self-trading. Although there might be recorded success for AI at some point, but it’s only lesser when you compared it to self-trading. Trading on your own will not only give yourself the chance to improve your trading skills and strategies, but it also creates higher rate of success because of your trading experiences in the market.
874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 11, 2023, 09:17:01 AM

It's not really a shame because Donaire has proved enough in the industry of what he can do, he achieved enough that Manny Pacquiao himself trusted and passed the torch to him to make the Filipinos proud, and as a Filipino, I'm proud of what he has become but when it comes to reality, it's hard to argue that Donaire is already in the sunset of his career while Inoue is still at his sunrise.

We can say that age might not be a factor but that is not really the case because let's not forget that Donaire is already at his 40s and it's hard to say really that he still have the power and speed to keep up with the guys who are still on the height of their prime like Naoya Inoue.

Good point and it's valid, if they met during Donaire's prime I can also agree that it might be a different outcome, just look what happened from the first met Donaire coming from a long vacation and almost beat that prime Inoue.

Fight gonna be fantasy though, I mean they met when Donaire might be in the sunset of his career. But yeah, maybe a prime Donaire that destroys everyone at bantamweight, or even a prime Inoue, it might be a different story. Donaire's weaknesses is fighting taller guy or moving up in weight class.
But if he remains at bantawmeight and fight smaller guys than him, he will have a good chance that he is going to knock that opponent out with either left hook or his upper cut.
The landscape though is very different for Inoue now, he is at the prime years and it's hard to see him beaten by Tapales here, IMHO.

It could have brought some big excitement if Inoue and Donaire had met during their prime, but we know it's not going to happen as Donaire cannot go back in time. However, in terms of popularity, I think Donaire was more popular in his time because he loved to fight in the US, where there's a huge audience for boxing. Inoue, on the other hand, has most of his fights in Japan, which has been criticized by some boxing experts, especially Floyd Mayweather.

As of now, there's no other Filipino boxer who could potentially give a good challenge to Inoue. It's not Tapales but it's Casimero.
875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 11, 2023, 08:30:57 AM
Glad to hear that Boban Marjanović is sticking around with a 1 year deal to play on the Rockets. He’s funny.

Good for him, but they can't really utilize him a lot; his minutes are dropping, so I don't know. Despite his size, I think he might not last much longer in the NBA. The Rockets might be his last team in the NBA. I hope he will be able to be more effective in helping a rebuilding Rockets.

By the way, how much did he make for this contract? I didn't see the figure in the news I read regarding this matter.

I have never mean to raise this this topic so far but sometime I do asked myself why do we join here.
For me is to gain vast Knowledge concerning all that relates with bitcoin as well as knowing the concept of how to become very secure with our investment. I do find this platforms helpful as it focuses on information that gives a full interpretation of bitcoin utilizations.

I don't know your purpose of belonging here but you can present yours as well, Maybe we can also learn by sharing thoughts feelings.
While a lot of us here are motivated to join the forum in seek of profits, but isn't it more appealing and meaningful if we seek knowledge and skills at first so we will be able to maximize our profits later on.

Personally, my focus here is to become an inclined Bitcoin investor and stabilize my finances through gaining adequate knowledge that will be a great help so I can achieve my goal successfully.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do we benefit in lies in forum on: September 10, 2023, 09:20:03 PM
Nothing, even merits are never earned if these members will keep on making fabricated post and lies. There's always a difference if the members will provide real and based on experience stories because other members will eventually feel empathy and appreciate those post through giving merits. Lies are prohibited actually, but sometimes it's hard to control in a forum where everyone is free to share and post.
878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 10, 2023, 11:53:30 AM
Since it will be SMC taking over the business, will we see Romeo again?

I mentioned his name because I've seen some Facebook posts praising his performance in the FIBA games before, and some commenters mentioned that Romeo would be a good fit as a point guard. Although he loves to hold the ball longer in his hands, he can generate points on his own, unlike the point guards who were chosen to represent the team this year who are afraid to shoot the ball. I've also seen highlights of Romeo, and I can say I agree with the comments. At the same time, I realize that politics have played a big role in FIBA, as despite Romeo's stellar performance in international games, he wasn't chosen to be part of the roster.

I believe it's not politics but Terence Romeo is not fit to play in the international stage this year.

If I remember it right and anyone can correct me on this, even back in the Gilas' window games in this year's FIBA World Cup, he is sidelined because of his injury. He missed lots of games in the San Miguel Beermen during the previous conference or if not missed, only plays limited minutes especially on what we see on his playing time in the PBA On-Tour.
But honestly, I haven't heard his name in the conversation to be part of the national team. There are some injured players, but they are still considered. I think Romeo wasn't injured all the time; there were times when he was capable of playing. Well, this is just an observation; I could be wrong though. Based on what I've noticed, Coach Chot doesn't seem to favor SMB players.

Anyways, just curious here bro, who among those point guards you are referring to that's afraid to shoot?

Maybe not all of them are literally afraid to shoot, but they lack the capability to generate points unlike Romeo and Castro, who can really be trusted in tough situations. I just find the old Gilas more exciting to watch than the current, and that was under the coaching job of Coach Tab.

The USA didn't play well against Canada. The third quarter is over, and Canada is leading by 9 points. We know that the USA won't give up, but they are in a precarious situation. Hopefully, they will be able to come back so I won't lose my bet on the moneyline. I'm also placing an extra bet on the USA moneyline with 3.40 odds. Good luck!
A few minutes have passed and the USA managed to tie the game...
I confess that I also bet on the US team, well, I believe if they maintain this performance, probably they will beat Canada (I hope so)
The last shot by Mikal Bridges brought the game to overtime. Unfortunately, the USA struggled in the extra period, and it appears they won't be getting the Bronze. It was the worst performance by the USA, and they need to be evaluated to prevent such occurrences in the future. I would like to congratulate Canada; they performed well tonight and beat the USA. Another seemed to be unsportsmanlike foul was called on Portis before the game ended; they were clearly frustrated.
