881  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: November 30, 2020, 06:35:16 AM
Hoping to get back to normal now, I've seen that cases here in SEA are getting lower except for Indonesia. That one year pandemic, has a lot of influence and chages in our lives. Some people learned too much whil the others are suffering. Many have lost their jobs and people are risking their lives to be able to buy foods. I've also seen in the news that there's vaccine already and I hope that they mass produce it so everyone can be immuned now.
The vaccine is a good news to all of us but I don’t think it will totally kill the virus and bring our normal life back. This is our new normal now and we have to adopt this change for us to live the life again and of course for us to stay healthy. Our life changes for a reason, we have to learn from this one and accept the fact that our normal life is already part of the past. Its been a year, so many challenges we’re facing and you have to stay strong and keep on moving on.
Yes I know that since immunity is not permanent, even in other vaccines, the effect is not permanent and not 100% sure. The COVID-19 will remain in our world and can't be killed but when we have the vaccine, we aren't afraid right now to work and everything can go back to 100% production rate. That means that more job opportunities again and our lives will getting back to normal slowly or shifting to a new normal but since COVID-19 isn't the final enemy of humanity, probably more dangerous viruses will come to our lives soon and more suffering will come. Changes will always come to our world.
882  Economy / Economics / Re: 2021 not Looking good on: November 29, 2020, 11:41:34 PM
2020 is the worst and 2021 is the year where all of us will recover. There are no actions yet so how did you found out that 2021 will not be looking good. If it's because of the pandemic, vaccines are on the way right now and COVID-19 will be no longer a huge problem to the economy.
How hilarious that prediction about a year coming, moves opposite to the prediction, in 2019 many would hope and say 2020 would be exciting, great well but for the people in china that knows about the virus, 2020 had it excitements but more of evils, every year comes with a version of its making, that what makes the world unpredictable, 2021 next year could wipe away all the bad events of 2020, or it is more of the same next year, regardless we anticipate it content.
We cannot actually predict what will happen in the future, just like what you have said, there are actually lots of speculations that this year will be prosperous but look what happened to us right now there's crisis because of the pandemic. It is maybe normal nowadays that bad things are happening, maybe because there are lots of people that are greedy with knowledge and power that they using their might to gain those two, without thinking the equivalent cause of their action.
Yeah, it's hard to predict the future since many things can happen simultaneously. Speculation will be always speculation, it's not guaranteed that it'll happen. So I think 2021 will be our year of recovery but if you think 2021 will be also worst, I guess 2020 is worse since we don't know how can we handle ourselves in a pandemic situation that's why it's very hard to live and most of us don't have jobs.
883  Economy / Economics / Re: More Banks maybe Closed and cryptocurrency exchangers are new way of banking on: November 29, 2020, 11:19:29 PM
I doubt it. Banks will be developed soon as we know that they're implementing online banking right now, creating an exchange will be easy for them and can easily be accepted by the government.

Banks will still exist in the future with different features that came from cryptocurrency. They will do everything so banks can't be left behind.
So I really don't think that it will be lost its existence in the future, people are good at innovating nowadays and I bet they can make a system that will be liked by their users.
884  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Babala]: SEC naglabas ng abiso sa isang cloud mining company - "Mining City" on: November 29, 2020, 10:39:59 PM
There's a good chance that all their likes, follows, shares are all bought up and not gained naturally through promoting their scam.

[ ..snip ..]

[ ..snip ..]

I'm sorry I try to search for any update pero wala akong makita kundi ung warning palang na galing sa SEC. So for sure buhay na buhay parin tong mga to at tuloy tuloy parin ang pagloloko although may nakita ako sa Facebook na inexpose rin sila as scam:

https://www.facebook.com/MiningCityFraud/

Tsk tsk. Warning is not enough dahil hindi lahat nakakabasa nito.

Kaya mas better if aksyon talaga, if alam nilang threat. They're full of professionals and experts, dapat alam na nila kung san papunta yung ganitong scheme bago pa madaming maloko na tao
885  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Sino dito ang naka experience ng last bull run (2017) on: November 29, 2020, 10:09:26 PM
886  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Crypto live forever or die? on: November 29, 2020, 09:51:58 PM
Definitely, bitcoin is for forever. I also believed after 10-20 years every person knows about crypto and they like to hold bitcoin. So i can say bitcoin is for forever.

Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is the next gold I feel as in pandemic everything is getting online so the payment will move from fiat to online and crypto act as the best alternative in such things. So more importance will to given to it in coming time and with some big companies now also investing in it shows the good sign and the progress of bitcoin too.

Possible but it can't be the main currency for transaction. It is true that we're going online but it doesn't mean that people will use cryptocurrency. It's getting populat but I'm very sure that people will still use the nation currency. Bitcoin as next gold? Maybe but as time goes by it will have more application and uses.

Crypto would live, it's impossible to take down a decentralized system, crypto is successful because of us, so it's necessary that we will all be shut down in order for crypto to die. Crypto or bitcoin will stay as long as there are people using it, and that is regardless of its value because in the first place, crypto's real purpose is just a payment system which promotes a decentralized one.
It won't and I see sustainable market gains more in the future when compared today. The rising number of crypto users especially for Bitcoin simply means that people are now convinced that this is very useful to the community, may many never appreciate it now but probably could open up their minds in the next days.

With an exemplary performance that crypto had despite scams and fraud also rises but it keeps on moving high and that is not to wonder why because more people are still believing crypto that could bring them an opportunity to make money.
Agree with this. Cryptocurrency will not die in the future and will still exist because of the performance it giving to us right now. If we tried to compare each year's graph, we can obviously notice that this year has a better performance than the past years. The cryptocurrency is currently increasing and many people are getting interested in investing in cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is giving a lot of opportunities for people to gain more profit and that's what I like about crypto.

888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: November 29, 2020, 09:10:03 PM
Sending and receiving transactions will definitely have a conflict since if you want a faster transaction, it requires high fees. In that case, it can't be an ideal currency. But if bitcoin can still be developed, then there's a chance. I guess if we will go to cashless, people will still prefer digital fiat than cryptocurrency for transactions. Bitcoin dominating the other currency? I don't think it's possible.

Also, countries will probably create their own cryptocurrency and that makes it impossible for bitcoin to be an ideal currency.
889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like to learn and use bitcoin on: November 29, 2020, 08:38:12 PM
There's a simple explanation for this, it's the leading cryptocurrency and gives you a lot of opportunities that's why we like bitcoin too much.

It has a lot of uses, more innovation because of blockchain. Bitcoin is the top of the line and has a lot of users and features.
It was very interesting for me when I learned about it that's why I studied it and invested a lot to make a profit on it and It's been 3 years and still learning about it.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: November 29, 2020, 04:49:11 PM
Always assume that some people still doesn't know about bitcoin because it's not part of the curriculum, it's just an application of technology and economics.

If we're talking about people in the provinces, I'm sure that most of them doesn't know about it. If you have studied about computers and finance, I'm sure they know about it but not all are using it.

Even they talk bitcoin in the news. I still doubt that some still remember what is it. So even bitcoin is getting popular right now, I guess it's just popular within our community.

We need to be wise on every approach sa internet lalo na't kapag hindi mo kilala yung kumakausap sayo. Minsan it's our fault na din dahil nagpapadala tayo sa mga ganong simpleng pamamaraan kaya dapat maging careful lagi sa social media para di mabiktima ng scam.
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be used instead of paper money on: November 23, 2020, 05:02:47 PM
Bitcoin will be always a digital currency, can't change that fact no matter what we do. It also requires the internet for the transaction while paper money is an actual thing that we can see. We can't also replace paper money since it was made many decades ago and it symbolizes the country. Many banks are not in favor of bitcoin because they're centralized while the bitcoin is decentralized. Also, bitcoin has blockchain so how can you implement that if it's paper money.

Another thing is, what's the solution for the volatility of bitcoin? It's impossible that's why bitcoin will remain to be a digital currency.
894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin make someone the richest in the world? on: November 23, 2020, 04:34:56 PM
Yes, if you invested a lot of money during the $5k before the quarantine occurs and waited for this bull run, you can become rich.
We aren't sure yet if it will be stuck at $20k maybe more than that.

If you just repeat the process of investing in cryptocurrency since it's guaranteed that it will pump, then it's possible to become the richest in the world because of bitcoin if it exists for the long term. The more you invest, the more you will gain but it's a huge risk if you're not wise on your investment.
895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 23, 2020, 04:06:52 PM
It is going to be a tough situation for the casino owners. And let's remember the fact that not all of the casinos are owned by billionaires like Sheldon Adelson. A number of them are owned by small-scale owners such as various native American reservations. So I don't expect all of these casinos to have enough cash reserves to pay their employees even if they remain closed for an extended period.

Yeah, that is the point. We should also understand their part, they are doing their business and I think they are also thinking that they are sorry about what happened to these workers. Still, I hope they could easily find another job. This time, it is hard to find a job since most of the businesses and stores are closed or have limited customers so usually they manage it on their own.
We are nearly getting back to the normal situation just like before and those jobless individuals will get back to work after a long vacation, after being fired up. I don't think there is a misunderstanding with the situation because if we are also running a business or putting ourselves into them, we might have to make such a decision as well even it was really hard on our part losing people who are working good to the company.
Agree to this, it's also a risk for the owner, if they didn't force some workers to leave, then the business might get affected and the worst part is it might not continue. The pandemic affects us all, not only the workers but also the owners.

But if the casino has a lot of profits before the pandemic, they should've given consideration and doesn't use the pandemic as an excuse to remove workers. Casinos aren't similar, some really need to lessen to maintain the profit.
896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Experience, Be Ware! on: November 23, 2020, 03:03:49 PM
I have come across such scammer scheme before they can credit your account on the site with any amount of either bitcoin or ethereum and at the end ask you to deposit some amount in into the said account or an address which they will provide and if you fall for it the run aware and the credit on their site is useless. We have to be mindful on any opportunity before we dive in, scammers are real.

Scammers are really a pest in our investments and they are taking those money that we have worked for several time.

But we are the one who are accountable with our own awareness and prevention to avoid being their victim in their different schemes and strategies.

Feed your knowledge towards awareness on those scammers who can take everything from you. Also be mindful with those FAKE GIVEAWAYS because that's pretty obvious a scam, there's no easy money in cryptocurrency especially that it requires skills and patience to grow your assets. So, as soon as possible, read a lot of stories and tips on how to prevent being a victim of scams.
That's why if we're entering finance, we should be aware that there will be always people that will steal your money. We shouldn't just study how things work in investment, we should also study the differences between fake and legit platforms to avoid being scammed.

Extending your intellect on schemes like this is a must since there are plenty of scammers on the internet, we can't avoid them. If you get scammed, then it's your fault for being greedy or sometimes being careless. I don't usually offer help and don't talk too much to other users that I don't personally know.
897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit & Difficulties 😑 on: November 23, 2020, 02:40:03 PM
Take note of this:

  • You made a topic about KYC which is already been discussed multiple times, in the off-topic section.
  • Most of your posts are from bounty sections, it shows that you're a bounty hunter and doesn't prioritize posting good topics.
  • Your first post was also from a bounty thread which indicates that you already know how bitcointalk works and instantly joined a bounty campaign.

But still, it's not too late to change, check those users who have completely earned a lot of merits and it's because of their intellect on discussions. Sometimes it does not always depend on the thread you're making, even good replies are being merited. As long as it helps the thread or your statements make an addition to the discussion, it's all good.

If you're not receiving merits maybe you didn't understand how the merit system works. It's made to lessen the shitposting in the forum by motivating them to create a quality post in order to rank up.
898  Economy / Economics / Re: Mathematics and economy on: November 23, 2020, 02:22:15 PM
Many invest in a country usually not because of the people who excel in mathematics. but they choose where it is strategic and the production costs are low. for mathematical intelligence it is related to how the individual's career will be, not with the country
Well, mathematics is being used as something for development but once the formula was developed, there's no need for it and the only thing you must do is to increase the production rate. When it comes to production rate, we need manpower that operates to produce. In that way, there is successful business out there that doesn't rely too much on complex mathematics for more production. You don't need a math wiz just to build a business, you need strategic workers that will make your business grow, and that will help also the economy.
899  Economy / Economics / Re: Here is why btc will die as a crypto on: November 23, 2020, 01:39:33 PM
High fees aren't a big problem in cryptocurrency, many of us already experienced that in the past years but still we're using BTC. So I don't think that BTC will die just because of high transaction fees, and besides, it isn't made for cheap transactions, there's a lot of features of BTC that's why it's being used by many peole.

You can also select the small fee transaction, maybe there's a mistake you've done during the transaction. I'm using 1sat/byte, when transferring cryptocurrencies on the local wallet.
900  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Crypto live forever or die? on: November 23, 2020, 01:22:45 PM
The only thing for cryptocurrencies to die if people who buys crypto have stopped holding and buying all of it. But I think it would be unlikely to happen because many people find investing in cryptocurrency is beneficial as a long-term investment, and you are outside of government structures. I also think banning cryptocurrencies in other countries won't kill bitcoin because other people will still find a way to hold their funds.
Even if people have stopped buying cryptocurrency it will still exist and of course, there are still people who will be passionate about it. Cryptocurrency has a lot of potentials, what's more in the future? It can grow and develop until it fits the current technology we have. So for me, it will not die even there are no supporters, blockchain is a good technology and definitely, it'll be used for many things in society. We are only just starting, we can't forecast when is the ending because it's very impossible. Those cryptocurrencies will remain existing even there are no investors and the price market value is very low.
