It all depends on how many votes these users have and how many other users they trust and how those votes will get distributed. But seeing that you only need 2 votes from 250s and you have 9 of them... meaning 7 of them have tons of 10-merit votes for you so your chances are good. Not guaranteed but looking really good. Interesting that you mention cold water since our water heater is out today.  Thank goodness that I am a renter, so I don't need to pay for it. Just trying to prod the landlord to take action is the only concern. Since we are still more than two weeks out until theymos takes another tally, we will see what my status is then. I'm really on the cusp. You never know. Perhaps cryptohunter and Techshares can spark a revolution. Or maybe I'll piss off one of the 10 people. |

Kind of ashamed of you frankly, you usually are one to promote logical discourse instead of this mob hectoring that these control freaks depend on to constantly dismantle any discussion of changing the system that doesn't serve them personally. This place is just a big joke to them, and the user base toys to be played with. This is why they need standards applied to them, because they can't regulate themselves.
Well that's a surprising assessment from you. I thought you regarded me as a patronizing asshat. I'm still not certain who you propose is going to regulate this "mob." If the administration somehow puts them all on a DT blacklist, how do we know that their replacements will be any better once they gain power? As the trite saying goes "absolute power corrupts absolutely." In the end, it's probably going to be another clique. Like it or not, people form alliances here with like-minded individuals. This clique will likely seek to exclude those that disagree with their particular point of view. You'd be surprised what a group of people can do to twist simple guidelines like you propose and have it work to their advantage. Especially since you merited this post...
Just because I give something merit, does not necessarily mean that I agree. I gave realr0ach a total of 12 merits. Now as a gay man who has a brown skin tone, among other things, do you think for a moment that I agree with anything that he spews forth on the page? I guess being part of "the in crowd" is more important than principles huh?

If the person actually obtains the bot, they will most probably find their account getting banned eventually for plagiarism. There are some spam busters that have gotten pretty good at detecting these things. Unless they have some advanced AI that can spin extremely well.

i think some of those 250 merit people count towards your 10 merit , so you are actually a few clicks away from entering the worst part of DT drama, i don't know about you but if i was ever put on DT1 list i will probably reduce my trust list to 9 to get off DT1, being on DT2 is already enough stress and drama and i can only imagine that it gets worse when not only your feedback counts but your trust list too.  suchmoon asche Lauda xtraelv Lesbian Cow |

And didn't realize he was logged in to the wrong account. Perfect spokesperson for the DT1 "revolution". I already posted before i have an alt from 2012 where i lost the details and thats why i created this account.
I have no other accounts even i have been accused of diffrent accounts like QS,cryptohunter and all the smaller accounts which took activly part in threads i participated.
Maybe you don't have realised it but i don't wear signatures,have no buy or sell thread or anything like that.
I make no income from that forum.So any alt would be no use for me.

Just get Theymos to publicly post a vouch that you contacted him regarding this matter a day or so ago. It's already been established that without some kind of vouch, screenshots and quotes of pms can be doctored and don't hold much weight. |

 Thule, provide more proof for this serious allegation. Until then, my red paint remains. I'm going to appeal to OgNasty's recommendation. False allegations hurt everyone. Massive amounts of time are wasted and the community learns to ignore these kinds of complaints as a result of the boy who cried wolf syndrome (is that a thing?).
There are only two logical steps forward here.
1) Have the original PM authenticated.

The statement doesn't need to be "proven" false, it needs to be proven true. The truth is an affirmative defense against defamation. And one only needs to show that the statement is more likely than not. You should know that logically, its much harder to prove something is false. The only way is to prove something is false is to show that the assumption that it is false leads to a contradiction. Also, in most jurisdictions in the US, accusing someone of a crime that turns out to be untrue is "defamatory per se" and doesn't require someone to prove the have had real monetary damages.
Suchmoon could be considered a "public figure" or a "limited purpose public figure" and under CA statutory law, she would have to affirmatively prove the statement to be false. You really think that if suchmoon pursued this in the meatspace that a CA judge would rule suchmoon a "public figure" or a "limited purpose public figure?" Naturally, I don't suspect suchmoon will pursue this since the indications are that Thule is across the pond and it would probably require more resources than the case is worth. In any event, if suchmoon were to bring up a case, it definitely would be stronger than thule's case against Vod. |
