921  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Day? on: February 12, 2014, 07:34:31 PM
If there is one it obviously should be on the 3rd of January.

Yes, Jan 3rd - genesis block day.

This is definitely the best choice IMHO Smiley

923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we see a full balance of a wallet? on: February 12, 2014, 07:30:44 PM

In this case, yes.

But, with CoinJoin (and sharedcoin, coinmux, etc.), inputs from different people can be joined to create a transaction.

925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why i can not post now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: February 12, 2014, 07:12:17 PM
I think that you gotta get over some number of posts to be able to post on other boards.
yeah that might be the reason..! because i can't post in few sub-forums too, few are locked for me, but i can see other can post there.

There are no newbie restrictions now, as all restrictions were lifted on Jan 20.
Which sub-board are you talking about?

927  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a noob, whats the best alt coin to invest now? on: February 12, 2014, 07:09:46 PM
Is it true that the maximum amount of doge coins is infinite?

Yup...For 600,001+ block, the block reward will be kept at 10,000 forever....

Dogecoins are infinite?

Yup.
Unlike bitcoin block reward halves every 210,000 blocks, dogecoin block reward will be kept at 10,000 forever beyond 600,000 block.

so it is like in a few years mining of Dogecoin will be nonprofit Smiley

And those doge enthusiasts believe the market cap will grow to infinity  Wink
928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sent bitcoins not showing in blockchain, already been 8hour.. how come? Help pls on: February 12, 2014, 07:07:53 PM
Another thing is maybe they never put transaction fee ... As I always received without any transaction fee output.... Which quite frustrated some time to wait for the confirmation .... Once they sent around 90btc bulk for separated address for 0.0001 btc transaction fee only .... But mostly 0 .. It's their auto mati systems issue I guess

In that case, it will really take some time to get included in a block...
Guess you can do nothing now, but wait patiently...
929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Watch / Notify lists? on: February 12, 2014, 07:06:11 PM
Yeah, but even though I have notify turned on I'm not getting any emails at all.

Is this a known issue?

Have you checked your setting (Click Profile -> Notifications and Email) ??

Hi all, thanks for the prompt replied . Really appreciate it..

The platform usually updated as "sent" it mean they have already sent it ... I been using that platform for quite a period of time , very trustable platform...  As I mentioned , I occur the same scenarios before, and keep asking their support before , all they did is replied me , saying the system of their confirm sent it already .. And after usually 2-3hour , it then appeared in blockchain.info .. But today is the worse , didn't see it until now ... I haven get the TX information, as their incharge already knock off.. Gmt time 2.39am now .
(Their platform didn't suspend withdrawal, and I double checked , it's status as "sent" )

Obvious they were lying lol.
If they really send the tx, you can should be able to find it on blockchain.info or blockr.io seconds later (even if it is unconfirmed).
934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we see a full balance of a wallet? on: February 12, 2014, 06:49:45 PM
I know we can see all the BTC transactions of any wallet in blockchain. But can we see a full balance of a wallet/public address ?

Is it possible? if so how?

You can always see the balance of any address.
Just go to blockchain.info or blockexplorer.com or blockr.io and enter the address.
935  Economy / Services / Re: QoinPro (a multi-coin faucet with wallet-like features) on Beta.... Join early on: February 12, 2014, 06:37:38 PM
There are already too many threads regarding qoinpro..! i think mods will take them anytime soon..!

Though mods has moved many of them to trash, there are still lots of them in the newbie section. Sad

938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC on Mac - Savings wallet and security on: February 12, 2014, 06:10:50 PM
So I'm reading the Wiki about making my wallet secure.  And it's talking about using a twelve character password and having one wallet for savings.
But my BTC client just boots right up with no password required
And when I try to install another client on my iMac it accesses the same wallet.dat file.  Or I think that's what it does, as it shows my balance and transactions.

So what's up with that?  Where do I go from here? Does Mac need it's own wiki?

You should always encrypt your wallet with a strong password.
If your wallet is not yet encrypted, you should set it up now.
If you are using bitcoin-qt, you could do so for clicking Settings -> Encrypt Wallet.
939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to the Crypto Craze and need some referral help!! on: February 12, 2014, 06:03:30 PM
No I'm not selling anything.

Believe me I have almost no knowledge of this new digital currency craze. Just got into it.

Just trying to drum up some referrals on websites I signed up to.

I guess you can't really get many referrals with the eBay page...
You could get better results by making more posts (non-spammy) with your links in your sig.
