php7.0 and do a clean install don't try to install over pnp5 that minera is using with Ubuntu 15 or lower it may not work or do what your saying . unless you uninstall minera then uninstall anything to do with php 5.
under Ubuntu 16, it doesn't really replace it like thy say it may make things worse . for it to down load install it needs to be stated as php7.0 not php7, I  might be wrong it may have changed . and php7.0 doesn't work to well with Ubuntu 14 if you can even download it with Ubuntu 14,  i would rather use Ubuntu 16 . php 5 won't  install with Ubuntu 16 any way it may say some thing like no such package is available in Ubuntu 16,  unless you share it that's another mess to deal with , for me minera runs better under Ubuntu 16 clean installed. A few tips to help some .

thanks top.

This site is the best place  Ive found for all most any PI type that offers Ubuntu 16 images they even have tools to build your own image  but no RPI support, Ubuntu 16 has RPI images you can use off there site or from the RPI site . . or build it

922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to gridseed?? on: November 17, 2016, 06:07:41 AM
you can buy there 25 MH miners off ebay if you can fine one  for all most a big whopping 300 or less and yes there not profitable i have the 25 MH g blade it works great but kind of use less .

or the blades

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gridseed-G-Black-FULL-Hashing-Blade-With-Power-USB-Cables-for-Litecoin-Scrypt-/291810190340?hash=item43f13e2404:g:-bcAAOSwvg9XewOb

97 buck per blade there not the little one they go inside the 25 MH miners .  Smiley . or by a few Zeus miners there seems to be a lot on Ebay right now some times there even hard to find .
923  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Is This RX 480 Price For Real? on: November 17, 2016, 05:53:21 AM
I bought one to day, power color GPU are not to bad but it's brand new one from them. can't say on the retail price it might be now with NV lowing there prices to force AMD to lower there's even more .

well know in week or two . and if you shop around you can find a 8gb 470 by xfx i did but was to late buying it or wait two weeks for the next shipment for under 200 . and a lot of 470 4gb are selling for around  169 to 189 price range or may be lower . the one review said its great but i don't follow reviews and can all ways send it back no big deal to me they pay shipping back i don't pay a thing . should have it in two days. I don't want the game may give it to a kid next door .
924  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: November 17, 2016, 05:19:19 AM
does bitmian still take bitcoins remember china was trying to stop the use of bitcoins or control it,a few weeks ago. might be why no bitcoins or only one form of payment, i guess cash is easy to hide or move or  it's normal business there to pay some one off in cash in the GOV or not really illegal sense the gov controls every thing. or all they want is cash sells for now and don't want to  deal with CC fees and bitcoin fees etc. they used to take bitcoins.last thought they need cash fast to pay off creditor because that merger deal really went bad thy lost a few bucks .who knows why, I'm guessing now .

Script died for GPUs when the Gridseed and later ASIC showed up for it - had nothing to do with AMD vs Nvidia.
I wasn't around early enough for the Bitcoin GPU days but it appears that the same thing happened there.

I started mining when you could still get bitcoins for a short while off of https://slushpool.com/accounts/login/?next=/dashboard/ slushpool on his old pool with GPU's about the time Avalon killed it Avalon made the first ASIC miner and then the ANT S1 and ASIC USB sticks came and cost a ton to buy then GPU mining went to Script coins and grind seed wasn't the first ASIC Scrpit miner til that type miner killed off GPU again then it went to X 11 type coins here https://www.ltcrabbit.com and some others ,  then the new ASIC X11 type miner hit now look at GPU mining i thought it would die but not yet and may never they won't let it with good reason , any one remember that guy on you tube that made a milk cart rig for lite coin mining .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzK-twEBKF4 , if you could get over 1MH not 10 MH my bad  your were bad ass . fun times and days .!!! .
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AlcheMiner/MAT New Firmware and BFGMiner port! on: November 16, 2016, 10:37:44 PM
...

The stock fans from MAT are good and can be very quiet... I remove the adhesive label from the fan and see 4 solder points. Only GND and 12V+ are soldered, we can solder Signal and PWM to the fans  Smiley

The costs are for the tooling factory... I dont want use there, but rather make it self. Yesterday i measure the hashboard and will make next days CAD sketch. It possible to make WC-HS on both sides of the board, but i think one side is enough, because too much canals leads to high pressure. The idea is one WC-HT for two boards.
But one WC-HS for each board it easier to realise and assembling...

I make any sketches for all ideas and then you can better imagine and discuss the better idea Smiley

i have tons of fans with Signal and PWM  I can use , why i wanted to see how you used that with one of these and that are better then the ones that come with the miner. i used them on other miners when i had them to cut noise like  s5 s3 etc even lower in noise i had s5 running very quiet the fans run around 2500 to 2800 rpms and not the 3300 or higher whining noise the stock fan had and they stayed below 60 c i would panic if they went higher i know it was over kill but that's was me. you could sleep in the  room next to  5 s5, that how quiet i got them they stayed below 60c .I sold them fast when I sold Off my S5 and stopped mining bitcoins then got luck bought this miner non working on the forums. all my S5 went ROI i never noticed till  a friend asked was it worth it. those were the days cheap miners and you could actually make something and not invest a lot.

two boards on one Hs might be better then two per board or like C1 two boards per HS can't say these things do get very hot

928  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking for Avalon 6/ S7/ S9 for sale in USA on: November 16, 2016, 10:03:22 PM
mine works but i bricked the MCU trying to fix something i found out later was not break and  Avalon wants 80 bucks because i did not buy my A6 directly from them which i thought was shiftily for a new MCU then a few days later the A7 aka A721 came out, i didn't buy it, in fact I got pissed and let them no it. I'm gonna keep calling it a A7 ,do you have or no any one in the US that's willing sell a MCU or the control unit inside the miner the PI plugs into for 30 bucks that's all it's worth to me . or i  may sell mine it works and does hash but needs a MCU aka Master control unit, i d rather replace the controller but 80 $ is to much imo . and the A7 is out now .
929  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FS] 1 perfect titan miner 4 cubes on: November 16, 2016, 09:44:27 PM
a4 never will come out
sorry

Uhh I own an A4 and Innosilicon just announced this sale lol..

Might want to catch up with the times of whats current.

cool i haven't seen that in a while were the old customer matters more then the new customer and they get the deal  over the new customer , usually it's the other way around we got you so F off to the present customer to new customer they kiss but . it's only 20 bucks but it's the thought that matters most.
930  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [FS] 1 perfect titan miner 4 cubes on: November 16, 2016, 09:40:26 PM
A4 miner is costing $2100 and free shipping worldwide 280Mh/s so with 3 bitcoins you can have from a brand new miner and power consumption 1000watt so why someone to pay you 6 bitcoins ?
They can buy two A4 miners with that money .
I offer you 3 bitcoins for your miner and the shipping is mine !
Pretty fair offer

or you can buy a 136 MH A4 for the price of some of the A2 110, there still priced that way wonder how long they think A2 110 will sell that high .
931  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DPS2000BB Breakouts. New updates! on: November 16, 2016, 09:28:32 PM

hey opt how you doing .
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SILENTARMY v5: Zcash miner, 115 sol/s on R9 Nano, 70 sol/s on GTX 1070 on: November 16, 2016, 09:19:40 PM
Zcash 16-nov-2016:

Zcash has beeing harvested from launch

Claymore, optiminer and the sharks soon have more than 50% of the network now. And the price is declining rapidly.

Dump zcash and buy Monero and Dash. Untracable Anon coins that work..

We haven't seen ZEC in its full glamour Smiley
Still is more profitable to mine zec instead of other crypto(trading isn't included in mining)

A little suggestion to C gurus here.
I have found several projects that could suite as client enhancement like json output for monitoring additional logging and etc.
https://github.com/lausuper/pminer -> could be rewritten to suit silentarmy interface.
https://github.com/gordon-shumway/stratum-miner -> could be used for windows port.

I hope they do to, java can be really awesome to use meaning json output and hope they add API access for this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0 these type miners that use some of the sgminer , BFG , CG commands still seem the best way to do it. once this is all fixed up good plz add api access for awesome miner its a really nice program, i don't code so maybe off some on the API request . get the speeds first Please .

can't wait for this to match speeds with CM  so i can use nicehash, i can make more there right now then farming zec direct but CM has issues with nicehash when it Fee mines and this software miner doesn't .all  because of that lame fee in CM.
Add -nofee Smiley CM and Optiminer almost bricked 2 of my cards...had to reflash bios to bring them back to life...

i know all about Optiminer heard some bad things it can do to cards i'm not about to try it . you confirmed it even more. flypool is making more again i just looked a buck or two more over nice went back there i watch both . won't turning it off make less or that extra speed is fee speed for clay. i guess ?.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SILENTARMY v5: Zcash miner, 115 sol/s on R9 Nano, 70 sol/s on GTX 1070 on: November 16, 2016, 06:21:14 PM

935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AlcheMiner/MAT New Firmware and BFGMiner port! on: November 16, 2016, 06:03:42 PM
I get the same with the service idea so i gave up on that one . or I got some thing about bad links with BFG, i could never fix.
I'll go back one day for the hell of it and do it . when i feel up to it and no i won't get bored trying.

I made ROI on mine and even got a nice feeling by donating a board to a school so I'm good there, i just wanted to cut down the noise more. i have a grind seed i still use form time to time you don't even know it's  running when i use it that i lowered the noise from the loud ass fans it came with, to all most no noise at all, more like normal PC fan noise and my replacement fans run at full speed. i put in bigger much quieter fans .

I mean the big one 25 MH script miner not the little 5 MH one .

I found a few new fans i might try sense i have a window fan blowing on top with the case open i don't  hear over the two stock fans l left in my AlcheMiner/mat miner .

thanks for the idea but it might not be good  sigh ,,, or not worth the cost . good idea but cost to much ? .

Thanks top .

when you installed minera did you use Ubuntu 16 ?.  if so, the problem may be with the PHP in Ubuntu 16 you have use php 7.0 . i was having kind of the same issue . I made up my own install_minera.sh
and do manual installs no issue now  but one bfg doesn't auto start but no big deal, i just  haven't got around to fixing it . here's is my install_minera.sh

with the corrected php for Ubuntu 16.4.1 installs. my install_minera.sh file installs no mining software other then maybe cpuminer, i replace BFG with my own version with the cp command.

"Capitalism vs communism mining" shows that with proper $ fee incentive, capitalism beat communism due to human (greedy) nature. Now we have minner sw wars where one side gets 2.5% and thrive with speed well motivated by earnings, while other side gets %0 or free will people donation. We see how it ends. Both author and its users of people version earn less then author and users of paid version. What an mind fk

I'm donating and more are then you think, the funny part, how, I'm donating I'm using CM's miner and paying the 2.5 % fee and donating with one of my miners using his miner a few hours a day. how it that communism stupidity maybe to some but not communism.
