921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc is boring on: January 02, 2022, 08:07:49 AM
We think that only whales and instutions will stay play with btc as its boring.
No innovation no moves i mean price moves.
Retail trader not here for stability we are here for huge gains if btc dont give that im sure many people will leave btc and even eth.

Those who got a lot money can wait 5 years and can speak about blockchain development and how nice it will be we the retail traders are here only to see moves.

Right now even if btc will make moves 20% up or down...its really nothing.
If anything can give us 100%-10000% price volatility then im sure grayscale whales and wall street will stay alone with their bitcoins.

And if the grayscale and wall street instutions like CME and those kind of white collars dont put the efforts in then im sure retail will find something better to play with.

Sorry OP, but I think you're really lost and this topic you've created is somehow irrelevant. Bitcoin's market movement has it's every reason like when the market dips then just think of it as a discount from the bitcoin to everyone especially the new ones in this industry so that they can buy it an affordable price and if the price goes up then it's a bonus for us for having the patience and trust we've put on bitcoin. If you really find it boring that bitcoin is only moving at a pace of 20% up or down then you're in the wrong path. I advice you that you stay always to altcoins that is moving by over a 100% and powered by whales or someone like Elon Musk.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 02, 2022, 07:40:56 AM
@OgNasty, we thought that LA will never be able to come back due to his heart problem but he was playing very well this season. Heat might give him a chance but if other teams will be interested in him, like the Lakers, maybe he can grab the opportunity and play with Lebron whom he is familiar with already since they both won a championship back in Miami.
Yeah, the LA Lakers will likely to give Bosh an opportunity rather than the Heat and if it will happen then it's a good news and it would really mean much for the Lakers even if it's just a 10-day contract because their team really needs some help from another superstar whom LeBron is familiar and the chemistry is good. Bosh will be a good replacement of Davis even if it's temporary. But as I read the article, seems that Bosh is only interested on the Miami Heat.
923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: January 02, 2022, 07:04:18 AM
One thing is for sure when it comes down to finances and money investment then wall street is what is most important.
And im not educated but i have connections and experinces that average JOE can only dream about.
As my social circle is wall street guys i know the info.
And wall street told me btc will be ath  100,000$ next year february.
You guys not been good but its a christmas i make little gift to you as you will know when its a bull run now.

Wall Street guys don't know how to predict the market.  Besides, based on what glaring information is bitcoin gonna double within the next couple of weeks.  Everyone is a genius when they throw out future dates and price targets.  Half the peoe are always right by default and they think that they have an inate ability to predict crypto futures.  It's all a crapshoot.  I can say bitcoin will be higher at some point in the future.  When that is or how much is unknown lol.
Indeed, I'll vouch for you mate. Wall Street guys can or may analyze cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin but they can't really tell that much because they are stock kind of guys and that's very different because bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are much more volatile that what they are handling. But I think that prediction is just a hunch that bitcoin will likely to reach another ATH of $100k somewhere February and that is just a few weeks away from now. Yes we know that bitcoin will reach and break another record but there's no one living here on this earth can predict how much and when.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: January 01, 2022, 04:10:19 PM
No question, investing in a new project is the option that gives you high return. However, there are things you need to consider before investing in a new project like the project itself, if it has a good potential to grow.  You need to do some personal research especially the whitepaper of such project you want to invest in.  You also need to check the background of the development team especially their previous projects that have been successful.

New projects can't definitely give you high returns because aside from the fact that it's new, investors don't really jump like that just because of the reason that the certain new project has a good potential to grow, that reason ain't going to be enough because we are talking about money here and we aren't here in this industry to lose our precious funds. So, in my own opinion researching and checking their motive alone cannot give you the certainty that this particular project will eventually be in demand soon and can give you profits. As for me, I'll still go to those projects or coins that have proved its worth over the time even if it's going to be an expensive investment as long as I know it'll be worth it and will give me returns that I'm expecting in a few months to a year span.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you like to become a co-owner of a world bank? on: January 01, 2022, 12:55:36 PM
anyone wants to be in that position because both being a co-owner and making a profit become a person that many people know, if I could wish for something I would also like to be one of the co-owners. Having a big central bank, and not only having your own financial freedom, is great, isn't it?
Ofcourse, who doesn't want to be in that position, to be a co-owner of the biggest and secured building in your country. Well, it turns out that it's so easy to wish but we don't really know what's the burden being in that very position and the stress you have to go through just make the country's economy run. And also we can be in that position if we wanted to, but the real question is, do we have what it takes to sit in that position? I mean the background and knowledge.
But now, because of Satoshi Nakamoto, we can be the owner of our own bank because we have our own wallets that serve as our own private bank.
926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's never too late to start on: January 01, 2022, 12:35:05 PM
It is never too late to start anything as far as life still exists.  It is a matter of time to get all you have missed in the previous time. All things can be done when you realise to start what you really want to achieve.
There is no late comer to invest,  the main thing is one to be focused and pursue that  very goal and to make sure it is been achieved.

Indeed, but I bet the OP knows that already because as stated he/she has been here in this forum since 2017 but the OP have become inactive due to the market's dipping and boredom. Surely, the OP have learned his/her mistake as the wallets called Trezors containing 9 ETH has been missing since 2018 during his/her inactivity. There's no way to recover that if it's already omitted so the best way left is to start again from the start and make the mistakes as an experience so that it won't happen again sooner. That 9 ETH is a big amount now and it would been a big help if the OP didn't forget the wallet.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 31, 2021, 07:51:24 AM
I think the Lakers will make the playoffs regardless though.  They'll get it figured out after the all star break.

I do agree here. It's not that Los Angeles Lakers are already on the grave. There are also teams in the Western Conference that is struggling at the lower tiers. They can even finish at 7th or 6th at most with that inconsistency. And All-Star break still over a month to go means we are not even yet at the half of the season to conclude that Lakers will be out of the playoffs competition.

They'll likely qualify in the playoffs but that's the best possibility I see because they'll never be in the WCF the way they are playing now. I never saw in the past that Lebron was able to turn things around when his team started with a bad season, so I don't expect a lot from the Lakers now.
That what I'm also thinking, the Lakers being in the playoffs is their maximum limit and no more than that. Lakers this season is really having a bad start up until now especially without Anthony Davis to support LeBron James, they can't even withstand the Timberwolves who's rank at the conference is much more lower than the Lakers on the 7th.
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: December 31, 2021, 07:33:15 AM
2021 almost end but ADA didn’t can happen like this It is still under 1.5$ i my opinion Cardano (ADA) will not be able to reach $10 within next year 2022. Maybe it can happen in 2023-2024.

I agree with you. Ada has already pumped a lot since the end of last year. Now that the traders are discussing here and estimating the new price of ada, it is not easy to be real. It would not be so easy to get a $ 10 price of a coin like ADA unless a lot of demand is created in the market. It remains to be seen how Ada will perform from the beginning of 2022, as the next trend could lead Ada to price discovery again.
There's no doubt that ADA is really a promising coin of 2021 and so does in 2022. But for a $10 value this year is quite already impossible to achieve because as of this writing, we're already approaching 2022, it's only a matter of few hours left.
Cardano has been one of the top altcoins this year so there's no reason that this certain coin would be left behind next year because Cardano already have a lot of investors who trusts this coin.
929  Economy / Economics / Re: Gibraltar moves to become world’s first cryptocurrency hub on: December 31, 2021, 06:23:40 AM
Quote
Gibraltar is one of the most affluent places in the world. The economy is based on shipping trade, the online gaming industry, and the financial centre. Many big betting and gaming companies are based in Gibraltar, making the industry a core part of its economy. The industry is so prevalent that a tenth of the population is employed by betting and gaming companies.
Source: https://www.blacktowerfm.com/news/interesting-facts-gibraltar-wealth-management/

Just like Dubai, Malta and Singapore. Gibraltar also aims to be the 1st successful cryptocurrency hub with an aim to attract more investors like giant crypto companies and tech savvys. It's no wonder why Gibraltar wants to be a crypto hub too boost their economic more and as said their economy core is based on gambling so being a crypto hub will be likely their next plan. Gibraltar's has a GDP of £1.5 Billion and that will grow if they'll be successful and maybe they will be more established than other cities that have planned to be a crypto hub as well.
930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good man/woman leaves an inheritance on: December 30, 2021, 06:57:04 PM
An old proverb says “A good man/woman leaves an inheritance to his children's children…”. Since the inception of the world, whenever a person dies, their personal assets like money, possessions and property are either shared as stated in a will or in accordance with the law of succession where the deceased leaves no will. In most cases, the beneficiaries include may their spouse(s)/civil partner, child or children and grandchildren. In other cases, their brothers and sisters, parents or parent, nephews and nieces, favorite charity organization and state (where there is no relative) get to be the beneficiaries.

I recon that in the coming years folks are going to will their wallet seed and passphrases to their family members, their favorite charity, and even their kids unborn. As an investor or crypto trader is this a legacy you would want to leave behind?

of course, any parent here wants the best for their children, including me, so I would leave my wallets first of all to my family and friends, these are children, brothers, sisters, and it would be right, this is how everyone traditionally dedicates, but it's better not to think about the bad.
While your statement is quite true, but the question is can we really leave our wallets to them even before we die? Because apparently, we ain't sure of our time here on this God's green earth so I think it's better to give them informations already as early so that they can be familiarized about it in times of emergency because what's the use of that certain wallet if they didn't know what to do about it.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Great coins to invest in? on: December 30, 2021, 04:46:05 PM
hi
I'm going to buy the following coins
catgirl
pig
dobo
twt
pets
pit
ham
ping
kodi
brise
safemoon
cumstar
shib
ada
avax
algo

Is there anyone to help me?
1. Which are worth it
2. Is it possible to make a long-term investment?

Thank you

SHIB is only meme coins for me that is good for the long term in my own opinion, Why? it is because they have a good development doing it right now actually. And one of these was there some merchant now in the other country were they adopted SHIB as one of their mode of payment online to their merchant business.
Well, if atleast you're going to invest in the memecoins category then invest in Shiba Inu and Dogecoin, they're both promising and can give you returns if you could really manange your funds well. But don't expect too much from it because as we know it has no utilities so its hype are just controlled by crypto whales and also Elon Musk.
But, if you're looking for some long-term real investments then choose real and proper coins like bitcoin, ethereum, binance coin, cardano and polkadots.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: December 30, 2021, 03:35:10 PM
And the second factor is that as we know as the local and the champion Murata will have an advantage with the judges, and it will allow him to more easily retain his title, and that advantage is important when you are fighting someone like GGG.

There's no Japanese judge if I remember correctly. Do you think as a host country, they can influence the decision of foreign judges? What if Murata really scores lots of points. If there's something not right with the decision, we will see it clearly if we watch the fight.

Let's disregard the flaws in the result. Judges will have a fair result on that match and I'm willing to bet on it.
Even if there is no Japanese judge judging the fight they will be affected, now I am not saying that somehow the judges have been bribed to give the fight to Murata, even if we know that something like that can happen, what I am saying is that it is known that in team sports like soccer the referee will give a slight a advantage to the home team just because of the crowd.

And something similar can happen here, and when a fight is close even a single point can be the difference between winning or losing, and it is obvious that in that instance Murata will have an advantage over GGG.

Too much for speculation now. Let's wait for the fight before anything else.

That kind of observation doesn't make sense to think for now. If there's cheating that will happen, we will see to that. As a viewer, we will see the way they fight on who has the advantage or is dominating.

I believed the result will be fair. If not, there will be a massive call about that from the community.

We don't have to think and fear that there will be a cheating or bias decision on the day of the said fight, the Japanese are known for its tradition and characteristics for being fair and square in any aspect. There's really nothing to worry about, this match will end peacefully entertaining.
That kind of thinking isn't going to help because once you think about it, you'll going to end up like there's cheating happened until the end of the event. All we can do is watch and trust the organizers and judges.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 27, 2021, 12:35:08 PM
The Favorites got down on Christmas game. Ginebra and NLEX are both Favorites aside from the fact that currently, KJ McDaniels and Justin Brownlee are the most top performers import on the league. Still can't believe Phoenix is able to make McDaniels off-night and on the other hand, Magnolia pushes for a big lead against Ginebra.

I'm sure the majority of the bettors didn't see that coming. It's good to see that kind of upset making the game more thrilling and intense.
Indeed mate, literally like we really didn't see that coming that these favorite teams will eventually go down on Christmas Day, even the crowd who watched it live are in dismay that their favorite team was massacred because the Ginebra was the reason that the tickets was sold out early in the first place. And because Ginebra was defeated, the Magnolia is now on its 3rd win streak. Their next game will be against Blackwater so we already probably know what'll going to happen in that game.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: where to invest with 30 000 usd on: December 27, 2021, 12:12:46 PM
If I were in your position then of course I would put all these funds into the ETH coin because so far the coin has proven to be one of the very good coins to be made as short-term and long-term investments and I am also very sure if in the future ethereum will have a higher value especially when it is still in the development stage which will continue to be done.

Definitely not!

No doubt ETH is a great coin, but it is definitely not the only competitor in the space.

You want to diversify as much as possible with $30k as it is a big amount - you don't want to be putting all your eggs in one basket.
Yes, $30k is really big just to be invested in one project or coin alone, the best way is to atleast divide it and invest in your top 3 choosen promising coin or project that could be worth more in the future. But the OP doesn't want that, he/she asks what to invest and put that $30k alone in just one choosen project or coin. Ethereum isn't a bad idea but I don't really recommend it to invest the whole sum, so my advice is invest it to either Bitcoin (BTC), Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), or Binance Coin (BNB).
935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I had bought bitcoin 10 years ago, I would have been a millionaire: Not true on: December 27, 2021, 10:33:05 AM
The reality is that they would not have been able to hold for so long even if they bought 10 years ago. Very few have the patience to wait till 100x or more. Most of the investors will be sold at the idea of 2x or 3x itself. Some of the people that were able to hold for so long were those who had invested and then completely forgot about it. There is one more category of people who had complete trust on BTC and thus they stick with it for years.
I could not agree with you more, it's in the nature of the people to sell it if they manage to make their profits to as much as 3x. And really, there's only few who manage to hold their investments for 10years and that falls on the category of people who make many investments other than cryptocurrency. Also, bitcoin isn't that quite famous and trustworthy 10 years ago than it what it is now. The idea of holding bitcoin for a few years was I think only began on 2016 up until now and only sell the profits.
936  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe good time to loan money to invest in crypto on: December 27, 2021, 10:06:46 AM
Maybe now its a good time to invest
And borrow money.
Btc goes 120,000$  if you buy now you make like over 60,000$ profit.
But dont buy just btc divide ur portfolio ...
Buy few metaverse few top coins maybe web3 and u wait ATH and you sell it.
Pay i ng back loan and u are in profit.
Next year as we all know ATH
That's just a mere speculation and quite impossible to assume that bitcoin would really reach $120k for the year 2022. The market just had reached $68k all time high last month, so that prediction is really too much to expect. And personally, I'm not really going to advice anyone to borrow some money just to invest in bitcoin when especially the market's volatility is really unpredictable so instead of making proifts, chances are you're going to be the reason for someone's loss and buried in tragic debts.
Folks, let's not forget to only invest what we can afford to lose because cryptocurrencies doesn't assure you to make profits.
937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 27, 2021, 03:23:39 AM
^^ And Lakers is down, 62-66 against the Nets. Brooklyn raises to double digit lead and it's good that the Lakers was able to cut it down to just 4 points.

It was a good comeback win by the Bucks against the Celtics, they are down throughout the game, but when Giannis was inserted in the last 5 minutes of the game, he changes the complexion, scoring back to back basket and making a assists for a 3 point shot and that was enough for them to claw back and beat the Celtics.

This Lakers game vs Nets looks like the ordinary game you see with the Lakers. Westbrook always making worse decisions and LBJ is the only one who truly contributes to the team. His other teammates don't add anything on defense, their rotation is also worse. let's see if they can turn the table after this timeout. they are down by 9 already. They really need to make a comeback since they've been losing too many games already. in fact they're on their worse games these past few weeks.
At some point, this season the Lakers have been a joke to the conference and league with a lot of star players which would be their advantage against other teams but it turns out opposite because their chemistry isn't good. LeBron is just the one who holds the team together and without him, this team would really fall apart.
As for Lakers vs Nets, we already know what would be the result. Honestly, I'm quite surprised that the scores weren't not that gapped because AD isn't available. Surely Mills have been a big help with Harden ofcourse to secure the game to their favor.
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will MEME coin rule the world? on: December 27, 2021, 03:07:32 AM
...

We all know the popular animation Lion King, this coin is birth with King Mufasa in Mind and how he had good intentions for the jungle compared to his Brother who wanted the jungle to destroy it.

Will King Mufasa Token influence change in the world with its proposition of saving the planet?
Imagining meme coins will rule the world is a foolish fantasy...

stop immediately if you think the same as elon, elon is a dogecoin pro and that meme coin has absolutely no chance of ranking up in CMC again. immediately realize that meme coin is not a crypto asset that is worth for long-term investment. let alone king Mustafa token "lol"
Exactly! It is called meme coin for a reason and frankly the coins were created as joke with themes entailed despite of its status now, who would've thought that SHIB and DOGE would be this quite promising with the manipulation of the whales including the famous Elon Musk.
But if memecoin will rule the world soon? That ain't happening not for the next 1,000 years Grin
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is my Bank on: December 25, 2021, 08:55:43 AM
Now I have accumulated a small amount to be able to reopen a bank account but I think that instead of opening a new bank account, it is be better to just buy and invest in bitcoin so that I can expect more profit than the traditional bank.
Who knows if this may be the best decision you ever made but in my opinion it is.
You still need bank accounts though just for a different purpose because you might need it someday. Then, save some cash instead of putting it all in one basket in BTC or in bank.
Diversify. I think wise people scatter all their assets at some point to have an option where they would pull their money whenever they are outside or inside the house. Just be careful with the volatility especially if you are in the trading business.
His choice was rather excellent that despite in times of pandemic last year, with a right mindset, he actually made the right choice to invest his remaining saving in his bank other than buying essential needs. Now the OP must've had enough savings and profits already than in the time of his writing.
It's totally fine to open a bank to put some savings but don't put too much to avoid unneccesary questions, because in times that you might want to go to another countries you can't really carry huge cash so in that way banks really helps a lot.
940  Economy / Economics / Re: Did you realize in real life how Bitcoin gave us financial freedom? on: December 25, 2021, 08:30:40 AM
Everyone knows how Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency and gives us financial freedom. I am wondering how did you realize that in real life that Bitcoin gave us financial freedom? This isn't a question, this is curiosity.

When I realized? And why? Let's describe it shortly.
A few days back I went to the bank to withdraw my deposit. That amount wasn't much big though, but the bank just asked me many questions. And surprisingly all were fucking questions. They asked me why do I need to withdraw and where will I spend. This happened first time with me since I was abroad for a long time. Then I realize how Bitcoin gave us financial freedom. No one is there asking me the question to spend my fund. How fucking centralized banking system even you have to encounter many questions during withdrawal your funds. They are asking questions like I am beger. This was my real file realization of how Bitcoin gives us financial freedom.

What about it, when did you realize in real life Bitcoin is giving us financial freedom?

The only financial freedom that was spawned from Bitcoin was the huge increase in price and the fact that some people might have gotten rich based on this alone. We should all congratulate people who had the conviction to hold on for a long time and made a nice sum of money in return. Besides that, Bitcoin has not produced financial freedom in any other respect, unless you might be living under an oppressive government who has banned cryptocurrency trades and you're using it (illegally) to get around this repression. For most people they are wealthy or poor and another currency that can be used worldwide coming into existence does not change that fact.
For those who had believed into those early times did really make out some life changing rewards as the profits that they had earned out did really make out some nice profits but to those who havent then they would

really be needing on doing such investment acts for them to benefit out and this isnt something that would just give out those financial freedom if you wont really act out.

Just like on typical investments that we do know then you do still need to put up effort for you to get grasps of such opportunity.
True, because in the first place we invest to make profits and not to lose money which is ironic to those who invested and wait for several months to earn and when the market dips this months many of them had sold their assets because they probably thought that bitcoin can't recover which infact bitcoin always does. Folks, commitment and patience isn't an easy to path to take but when the market recovers it promises you competitive returns.
In times of dips, let's just make it an advantage to think that bitcoin is just having a discounts for the people to buy more to make profits when it starts to climb again instead of selling it out.
