961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A typical weekend in sport betting-Why do gamblers still do sport bets? on: September 02, 2023, 09:33:09 PM
I am checking that in every single league of the big ones we have seen at least some surprise result and this is the typical weekend of many of the sport bettors.I wonder why do people still place sport bets because in slot machines I can understand, they run after the maximum payout and they know it is a game of pure luck, yet in here in sport betting it is not only pure luck, there is also skill involved and seeing many of the stronger teams lose their game today means that it is not worth doing anymore sport betting.

What is the reason that sport bettors still continue to place sport bets?

Are ypu trying to says slots have better odds because if so you are wildly wrong.  Amd with that being said yeah there are days where lock bets still lose that's why it's called ablijg.  If it was a sure fire way to win every time no betting house would offer that game up...it's gambling.

Lol this is what completely should turn people off from xrp it's a centralized crypto which is pointless.  Seriously it goes against the very reason crypto was even created.  What is the allure in what attracts people to xrp anyway?

Suddenly I'm seeing a lot of talk about the Suns trading Bradley Beal...  I don't even know if that's an option or something they would want, but I'm hearing names like Donovan Mitchell and James Harden.  I doubt the Suns would be willing to take on Harden as he's a huge risk and has already said he wants to be the number one option on whatever team he lands on, but Mitchell might be a legitimate option if they were trying to flip Beal.  I'd personally rather have Beal as I think he fits in better with other stars, but Mitchell is an elite player when it comes time to show it.

Mitchell would be a nice switch but doubt cavs would do that, and Harden just doesn't make any sense for the Suns.  Why would they already give up on Beal.  Where have ypu seen this chatter?  And last isn't there a set period of time that has to go by before he can be traded again?  If there is bad blood on that team already I'd be surprised.

Steve Kerr is stirring the pot by saying that he would love to coach Giannis, saying he’s not only a great player but also a great person. I think that’s probably as much as he can say without getting fined for tampering,
He needs to be careful with the words that he's going to release especially on this stuff. But yeah, this could be the hint that he's saying that Giannis is welcome to get into the Warriors anytime he wishes or whenever he's already allowed to.

but it’s pretty clear that Golden State is going to do everything they can to try and sign Giannis when the time comes.
It is going to be exciting if they can do it this season and if it's possible to make some trade offers to the Bucks. But if not, we have to wait until a year until he goes free agent. Anything is possible for a team that wants him badly and he badly wants to be with.

His free agency is so far away so many things can happen by then, with one of them being the Bucks winning another chip and having a top team.  Why would giannis want to leave at that point.  Or he gets injured and alters his desirability around the league, or any other thing that changes the current outlook.  What we know now is the Bucks ain't in the market to trade him.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 01, 2023, 08:33:05 PM
I wonder what France look like if Wembanyama played. The Spurs decided to excuse him from the national team for further development. But he and Gobert will have their chance to team up and get back their glory in the 2024 Paris Olympics. That will be the biggest basketball event and at the same time, their nation is the host. Should be fun to watch.

They will undoubtedly improve, especially considering that Wembanyama is continually training. Once he represents his country, his skills will likely see significant growth. Being the number one overall pick, he's in a different league compared to Gobert, who was a first-round pick at 27th overall in 2013. I anticipate a major improvement from him. Perhaps France will make a strong comeback in the future. I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing how Wemby performs in the upcoming regular season, and I hope he won't disappoint us.

There's certainly a lot of hype surrounding Wemby, and while he's demonstrated his abilities in international games, he has yet to prove himself in the NBA. However, if he evolves into a true superstar similar to Luka, there's no doubt he will also excel in international competitions like the FIBA World Cup. Take Luka, for example; he's currently leading Slovenia to a perfect record of 3 wins and 0 losses in the first stage, and his NBA experience has undoubtedly been instrumental in their recent success.

Indeed, if he evolves and manages to reach that expectation, he will earn that hype, like what you said set Luka as an example
and if Wemby will also manage to do the same thing,

We may see more hypes in his NBA career, for now, we can't conclude as we are not seeing him playing yet against the stars of stars of NBA.

He will be tested once he faces well-known super teams and if how he will handle the game giving his impressive numbers if possible.

I believe that as long as he maintains his health, his journey in the NBA will continue to improve. The primary weakness I see in him currently is his body size; he appears quite thin compared to the big men in the NBA. However, with more focused physical training, he has the potential to build muscle and become stronger. I'm confident that his team will work to ensure that this physical development doesn't make him injury-prone.

However, if he was allowed to play, would it change the fate of France?

Yeah he definitely would make a difference.  He played well in the euroleague and that type of play would carry over for FIBA.  It's differemt than the NBA so I have more reservation on how he will handle the rigors of nba ball.  Smart though no need for him to stress his body before his first season in the NBA.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: September 01, 2023, 08:29:11 PM

If Charlo wins then no changes for what Crawford desires, he will face instead the winner and proceed to his own timeline.

But technically speaking, although everything is possible to happen including an upset win by Charlo, I don't see any advantages he can use against the prime Canelo. I remember when Bivol was facing Canelo, only a few believed that the former would win but the result didn't say the same. I can't apply that same scenario to Charlo facing Canelo.

Anyway, let's wait for the winner of the Canelo-Charlo bout and speculate everything from there.

Both the players Charlo and Crawford had their equal opportunities to win the game. The players should try equal try to win the game. The game between Bivol and Canelo itself explain the exact situation now.The crowd opinion is Canelo, but the same was changed at the end.Bivol win the game with the support of the judges.I hope same will not happen now to Canelo.Even now the crowd opinion will be Canelo compared to the Crawford. When you compared the support of 100 people in the community, the seventy people will support Canelo.

It's all Bivol though and not on the judges hand, on the contrary they could have cheated Bivol in that fight as the scores is very close. But I guess they understood that they change the score to favor Canelo because that will be madness and there will be a controversy in it.
Will be interesting though what Charlo will look at 168 lbs, looking at the pictures doing their face-off, he is taller than Canelo.
So there is still room for him to make more weight to be able to make the Super middleweight class.
Although Canelo is stockier build and so his frame looks big as compare to Charlo.

We'll have to wait and see, but Canelo has proven to be virtually unbeatable in his current division. This makes it highly unlikely that Charlo will upset him in their upcoming fight. It's possible that Charlo might consider moving up in weight classes after this bout, where he could potentially dominate in a heavier division.

In the current division, it appears that Canelo reigns supreme, and he seems to be eagerly waiting for a formidable challenge. One fighter who could provide that challenge is Crawford, who is very popular and might attempt to defeat Canelo to make history. The prospect of a Canelo vs. Crawford match is indeed intriguing, even if it means that Crawford would have to climb three weight divisions, which is a significant risk. However, Crawford is known for being a risk-taker, so we'll have to trust in his abilities.

This is all theory.  Spence looks like he is going to trigger the rematch clause so Crawford has to fight him next per the deal that was struck where the lower can trigger a rematch.  Worse yet if Spence wins then there could be a rubber match after that.  I think it's all just wild speculation and Crawford using his win to spark conversation about him.

I won't be so sure. Floki and Shiba coins got so much attention that they can easily grow even without any big investments of its creators. They don't even need to spend money on marketing. So that's the ideal way. And many people still believe it's promising.

Those same people have no idea about crypto.  Floki is unnecessary and eventually memes will all just kind of fade away, there is no serious project behind it.  Just like with jokes after awhile it gets old and people move on.  I'd steer clear of anything that was created like this.  They are just greedy pump toys for a few which will reck a ton of people.

Unnecessary and PayPal just trying to catchup in today's world.  They know they are the blockbuster of payments and their time will be over soon if they don't adapt.  I don't trust this nor wouldn't use it we already have solutions.  Wasn't too long ago they were closing accounts of people who used PayPal for crypto stuff.  Full circle.

There is plenty of sites that offer last minute bets pretty much right up to the minute before it goes off.  I know draft kings has baseball live betting on each at bat, and even each pitch.  So that site let's you bet probably down to the last 15 seconds.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 31, 2023, 06:03:52 PM
Plenty of upsets on Thursday, too bad for the winners these are just games with no real meaning.  Grin

Finally we are in the exiting phase! After seeing maybe 4-5 good competitive games in the first round it's time to see what we were waiting for. No more blowouts but good action!

Some groups are still less exiting than others ( talking about group I ) but the others hold at least 2 power house nations in each group. USA has another relatively easy one with Montenegro and Lithuania but games like Canada vs Spain, Slovenia vs Germany/Australia gonna be some real nice ones.

Hopefully we, team Germany, can beat Georgia today so we don't have pressure versus Slovenia. If we win and SLO beat AUS we are through, we lose and we must beat Slovenia which will be tough.

Looking forward for the next game day!!!

Agree with you, those games were mostly unwatchable.  I too am looking forward to the ger/aus game. Both good teams but the one I really want to see is Spain Canada.  Canada is looking pretty good this year and are a sneaky pull to win this whole thing.  Just hope the games are good.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 31, 2023, 06:00:57 PM
I don't think Giannis would be happy joining LeBron. In my opinion, he doesn't seem to fit with the team anymore, and I doubt they can accommodate Giannis considering LeBron and Davis already receive hefty salaries. Additionally, having three big men in the starting lineup doesn't appear favorable; it seems a bit odd in my opinion Smiley

Perhaps if a player who wants to be traded doesn't vocalize their preferred team, fans would not speculate as much. This would be better for the NBA, as fans might become disappointed and potentially withdraw their support from the team due to such speculation.

If I'm not mistaken, all this speculation regarding Giannis' potential leaving the Bucks came about after he said: "Winning a championship comes first. I don't want to be 20 years on the same team and don't win another championship." If so, we shouldn't expect him to leave the Bucks in a hurry in the next couple of seasons.
However, I wouldn't rule out that the Lakers could be his next team if he decides not to extend his contract with the Bucks. LeBron will probably be retired by then, and Davis' contract will also expire.

Well, technically, Giannis has still two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks before he gets a spot in the free agency but by the way, I don't think that he will be in that agency because before his contract will expire, there will be a lot of teams that will offer him as getting him is indeed a big team for the team. Of course, with a few first round picks and players to trade to make that happen but the teams are still willing to do that just to get Giannis.

This is all really just speculation everyone is making up.  He made a statement about winning no matter what I think anyone would say that.  The Bucks probably have zero interest in trading giannis since they are a top 1-3 team in the east, they are probably looking to build theor team not rebuild.  All this speculation of where he is going is useless.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: August 29, 2023, 09:26:52 PM
No way Roll Eyes
The listing fees of the best exchanges are huge, so any project can be listed for money and it is not the best coin for that.
Moreover one should not rush to invest after seeing the listing on a good exchange because the development of the project will be more dependent on an investor.

There are many coins that get delisted from good exchanges because their volume decreases and investors decrease, the main reason being poor development progress.

I don't know why anyone would buy something based on what exchange its on because you are right.  With the right amount of money most of these exchanges will list your coin.  Even if they don't pay theor way it means nothing, there could be many nefarious reasons for this.  Who knows insiders at the exchange could have a bag they want to pump.  Either way don't go by what exchanges it's on.

I used to play a long time ago but got turned off by the full tilt scandals and all of the collaborating on tables.  I just always feel like I'm getting taken for a ride on those sites anymore.  Too many times when a player plays a certain way and magically folded everytime at the exact right time just too fishy.  Will check out that site as well.  How's the action there?  A lot of different tables to choose from?
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 29, 2023, 09:21:14 PM
Greece even with Giannis wasn't an elite level team, with him out of the picture they are not even remotely good at all. I think USA is lucky because there doesn't seem to be a generational golden team around these days and USA is usually good enough with their players to win in this case. Normally when you have some good nation that is doing great, like remember 10-15 years ago how Spain was insane and all that, then USA has to bring in their best players.

But, right now it looks like they are not even doing all that great and they are still getting that win because there is no other team that is better against even this version of USA. We may end up seeing them win it, and get the title in the end.

It won't be that easy but I think this is the right mix of US players and are better as a unit than they are individually.  You have a lot of hunger younger players that never played for theor country yet.  You can tell by their commitment on defense.  With older teams they tend to lack the defensive intensity (they don't want to get hurt for nba ball).  Will see when they get tested by one of the other top teams in the tournament.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 29, 2023, 09:18:43 PM
Warriors can't get Giannis, but one thing that is "just a bit" possible is to get Giannis to play with Doncic. That is going to be tough, and the playbook has to be quite solid because Doncic could be a shooter but he is not a lights out shooter, and he likes to drive inside, with Giannis liking the ball so much, Doncic liking the ball so much and potentially if they still have Irving then him liking the ball so much, you will have a team that is consisting of stars that want the ball in their hands.

We really don't know, but if there is smoke, there is a fire. Meaning, there are a lot of news of Giannis moving to Warriors, so it could be true or not but we will see. Perhaps it could still be based on Klay's performance? He could be a a trade bait next year, just saying.

Warriors would have been a better fit, but unfortunately that is not going to happen and that is why I think it should be important to remember that Giannis has to go to a team that is filled with shooters, even if not Warriors.

Any team will be a perfect fit for Giannis. He just need to surround himself with good players to win another ring. And maybe that's why he is pursuing the Warriors as they not just have a solid team, but they have the experience already with Steph Curry.

Agreed.  Pretty much any team at this point outside a couple of the younger teams would make them an instant contender.  That's how good giannis is.  But agreed a team with a lot of good 3 and d guys that could open up the paint is where he needs to be to flourish.  He is killer on the drive and doesn't need to be a spot up shooter.

For me crypto opens up a whome new world of gambling options.  One the control over your ability to gamble or not.  Some banks will block gambling sites that doesn't happen with crypto.  Also it gives ypu the ability to gamble in a down market at a certain level of usd value with downward crypto price risk in that current price of yesterday's loss might be advantageous.  Likewise on your wins in an upward market.  It's just another level of gambling while gambling lol.
978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: August 28, 2023, 08:22:20 PM
I think it was definitely a good close game, and losses happens it is not really a big deal to lose this game and I think it should be important to realize that we are not going to get that much of a big deal out of this, World Cup should be something to care about but unfortunately USA doesn't seem to care all that much, look at their roster, they do not bring in the best players, so lets see when they will lose out, because I bet that this team can't win it all.
As for Team USA, that stack probably should be enough. Yet, they've got one of the best and championship coach which is Kerr and assistant coach, Erik Spoelstra.

With the match between Angola and the Philippines a while ago, I thought that Gilas would be able to beat Angola but Angola is the stronger team. I don't want to blame the coach despite being booed when shown on the screen in the arena. While most of our countrymen's sentiment is about the system and the coach. Anyway, full hate has always been given to Coach Chot as usual when they're beaten, can't blame the fans though.
Too bad for the Team Philippines are they are close enough to take the win and yet, they fall behind on their most important game to get a win, there is so much hate with the coaching staff since then, its too bad for the players to hear such cheer from the crowd, its not motivating at all. With regards to the USA team despite of not being dominant and don't have their NBA star players they still manage to get a win and that could be a good sign for a younger generation to make their own name, and this is a big opportunity for them.

It is a shame because I think the local community was really excited to see their home team progress against other countries.  I think this would be the first time a host nation wouldn't move on right?  Was the Phillipines favored in this last game.  I haven't tracked lines for any games other than the teams I know and am looking to bet on.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 28, 2023, 08:15:58 PM
He will have less weight on his shoulders, as Curry, an MVP himself, can also carry the team. I would like to see this happen, as it would bring back the unstoppable Warriors.
He'll have someone who can he rely to and there's no doubt with that. Both have their own championship experiences and became champions so a combination of that and relying to each other's strength will definitely something big to get troubled with by other teams.

This is what everyone was talking about when Giannis expresses his thoughts regarding his relationship with the Bucks. Everybody wants to see Giannis and Curry play together. To be honest, Giannis addition to the GSW will automatically buy them a ticket at the finals and the Warriors will become relevant again. Could this be better than when KD was with the Warriors? That's what I was thinking about. Though for sure, this will open up a lot of wide open threes for Curry as Giannis can't be stop with 1 man defending the paint.

The amount of assets the Warriors would have to give up even if the Bucks would ever come sidereal trading him would flatten the team.  Who would even want theor first round picks since they will always hover around the 30s if all went well.  That would be bad for the NBA if giannis landed on the Warriors somehow without giving up any of theor core group.
