1  Other / Meta / Re: Has theymos ever banned any signature campaign due to spam? on: Today at 10:03:14 AM
I've hired spammers, everyone has had a few.
So you are admitting of hiring spammers in campaigns and you think this is ok  Roll Eyes
Yahoo62278 has managed many campaigns in the past and we know that he is a good campaign manager. I think he meant that many campaign managers have hired spammers in the past. Many of the spammers were known and tagged. Some even plagiarized and got banned. Some people were actually good posters before but you will notice all of a sudden that they are spamming.
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does it make sense to bet on the exact score in football? on: Today at 08:41:02 AM
What does predicting the exact score which can be of high odd do with downloading an app that can make someone to know the legit casinos? These are completely two different things. I felt excited when I saw the topic but I got pissed off when I knew that this is just an advertisement that we do not even need on this forum because this forum is a home in knowing the legit casinos and even beyond because there are many bookmakers and also gambling sites that have both services and have their announcement thread on this forum.
3  Other / Meta / Re: Has theymos ever banned any signature campaign due to spam? on: Today at 06:30:55 AM
Why did you ask this Little_Mouse?

Any spam campaign in your thinking that needs to be temporary banned as a warning to wake their managers and participants up and need better management?
It could probably be because of QueenVera which was caught with massive spamming recently. I do not know but this could be close to it because it was known in less than 24 hours from when I posted this and what I could think of.

What that I know is that there are spammers and those that plagiarized contents that are seen in many campaigns but which the campaign manager will later remove or which the forum will ban.
4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Does exploiting the Bitcoin blockchain act as a major cause of congestion ? on: Today at 05:08:02 AM
1. Is this exploit done for selfish or general benefits?
Obviously it is.

2. Do you think Ordinals, Runes and BRC-20 will become a massive problem in the present and future?
Bitcoin developers allows it and they should know what they will do about it. If another huge buying comes, they will also still add to the blockchain congestion. We should have lower fee rate by now. So they are even a problem now.

3. should we focus more in resolving them or increasing block size instead?
Only bitcoin developers are the ones that can make this discussion and it is clear that they want the tokens to stay.

4. What's the answer to the topic title above?
Yes.
5  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Trade your BTC/NGN, USDT/NGN on: Today at 04:50:05 AM
Any reputed member like CryptopreneurBrainboss, Upgrade00 and I et cetera can serve as escrow. This will depend on willingness. In fact, I will soon come up with my escrow service soon on this local board.

You can be whatever you want to be but it would be foolish of anyone to ignore the community FREE escrow to patronize a paid escrow service. Their loss.
If there is free escrow service in the local board then it is better for all their local board members to use it and the Op should used it to initiate the process it he want to be an exchange in the local board. Then another reason why go dey the process na the escrow matter, we know that in centralized exchanges or normal p2p we normally use, the transactions were very fast but in this because of the escrow as the third party there will be more delays in the transaction but it is more saver.
You people should not make it look like I am offering a paid escrow when I did not have a thread for escrow service. Or where did I post that? I have always told Igebotz how he is so being conclusive. And let me tell you people, anyone can come with any offer, be it free or paid. You should respect that and nobody is foolish. Like I posted on this thread before, but which I later deleted, Igebotz is kind of annoying with his attacking post of implying what he does not know about. I hope he will stop this as I am not competing with anyone like I am repeating a class which I have been ahead. Anyone offering a service be it free or paid, leave the person alone than to make people just want to notice you on a thread and attacking the person.
6  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Adding a seed phrase to your wallet on Electrum? on: June 05, 2024, 04:49:41 PM
The seed phrase that Electrum will generate you is bech32 that will start from bc1.

The seed phrase will generate the private keys, the public keys and the addresses. You do not need to bother yourself with private keys. The seed phrase will regenerate all for you. Just go to standard wallet.

Or you have a private key that you want to import on Electrum?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Take on Celebrities Backing Memecoins? on: June 05, 2024, 03:02:51 PM
Pump and dump still continues. The coins or tokens or meme coins or whatever you call it are only created by the celebrities to make money and nothing more than that. The celebrities do not care about people to make money. If they (the celebrities) are making money while the people that bought the coin are losing money, the celebrities do not care. As this is becoming common, I am expecting more people to lose money. They have only modified ponzi and other hyip schemes into this.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What about low odds in sports betting? on: June 05, 2024, 02:54:38 PM
The result is same, you will lose in the long run since every match is unpredictable. If you can always bet on the right team, either low odds or high odds doesn't matter.

This is what some people do not know until they move from high odd to low odd matches. What I have noticed about sport betting is that it is not more than casinos in the sense that as casinos make use of house edge so are bookmakers making use of odds that will let people that are gambling to lose money to them than them to lose money to the people that are gambling.

But it does not matter about betting on the right team. What I have noticed about betting is that it should not be done frequently because the more someone is frequent with gambling, the higher the probability that the person will lose. Just go for one or two matches and make it not frequent at all even if you lose, just forget about the loss and not because of that continuing to gamble.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting altcoin profits into Bitcoin? on: June 05, 2024, 02:43:15 PM
You know that could be the start of bear market. I will not advise anyone to buy huge amount of bitcoin around that time but to just buy little amount of it. Use like 90% to buy USD and start DCA. Using the fiat to buy bitcoin as the price of bitcoin is decreasing. It is better like that than to just convert all to bitcoin at once.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling push notifications. on: June 05, 2024, 02:37:07 PM
Gambling push notifications is another issue I will want us to look into. There are so many gambling company today in the internet.
If you do not want gambling push notification, disable it from the gambling app that is on your phone. Also check if there are apps on your phone that you do not install by yourself and delete them all.

Please we should be careful with gambling push notifications online for some of this are not reliable.
If you are using a good gambling site, that should not be a problem. If the gambling site that you have its app on your phone sends you message through push notification, you can just go to the gambling website to check what the notification is about. If you do not want such notification, delete the app.

@satscraper
Let me ask you a question, did you have any gambling site app on your device where you get the push notification? Secondly is that did you suspect any app on your device is doing it? Go through your apps and delete the unwanted ones.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling push notifications. on: June 05, 2024, 11:46:30 AM
This is something I haven't heard of before. Just like other users have commented, the notifications I get from casino are only via email
I have not also seen any gambling site push notifications before but this is because I have not installed any gambling site application before on my device. I prefer to just use the gambling site website instead. Have you installed any gambling site application before on your device? If you have not, that could be the reason you have not gotten such notification before. If you install an app on your device, you can get push notification from the application on your device.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is a fatal mistake on: June 05, 2024, 10:11:27 AM
You will have no problem if you can gamble with the amount of money that you can afford to lose. That is the problem some people do not know. Anything excessive in life is not good. If you eat food too much, it will affect you. If you drink too much it will affect you. If you abuse drug it will affect you. There should be moderation to everything that we are doing and so is gambling. If you know you can not control your addiction, seek help and do not gamble again.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting - How to determine if the line is a trap? on: June 05, 2024, 10:07:23 AM
What do you mean by looking at the line?

I prefer to check some last matches of the clubs or team that are playing and also check their h2h. These help a lot. But I do not just bet like that because I still also let the match get close to the time it would begin and check the players that will play in the match.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you really want from gambling? on: June 05, 2024, 09:00:04 AM
So yeah, until I get my Frozen Gems max win, I'll still be playing this game. Grin
This is just the truth to be one of the main reasons most people are gambling. I have seen people that says they might have a lucky day. Success stories of people that won huge amount of money did encouraged them. This type of people will risk small amount of money and expecting to win huge amount of money, but they lose quite often than win. Although, they use the amount of money that they can afford to lose for it.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The main problem with ETH... on: June 05, 2024, 07:42:53 AM
I do not think ethereum has bad design until it moved from PoW to PoS which makes it further to become more centralized. What I do not like about ethereum is that it was an ICO. Its developers sold some coins to early investors when the coin has not started trading. This is another reason the coin is very centralized. Another thing is that its developers like Vitalik Buterin have so much influence on the coin which also makes it centralized. The coin is centralized to an extent.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have you blacklisted? on: June 05, 2024, 07:37:15 AM
When there are thousands of altcoins, it is not possible that I can blacklist all of them because they are too many and most altcoins are shitcoins, just only few of them are good but they are highly volatile. Their volatility makes them very risky to invest in. And one thing I hate about the altcoins is that they are not getting to all-time high.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you really want from gambling? on: June 05, 2024, 12:02:07 AM
Maybe money is what you want but you have known with experience from gambling that it takes than give. Most people in life wants money.

If gambling is a guarantee means of earning, you will see yourself moving towards that direction more but gambling is just very different and you know that already which makes you think you are also not looking for neither money nor fun.

But some people gamble for fun.

I gamble for fun and I do not like to lose money from gambling at all but which is not possible. I use just little amount of money. If money is not involved, it will not be fun at all. I hate to lose and I know I really need to gamble with just small amount of money.
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Trade your BTC/NGN, USDT/NGN on: June 04, 2024, 11:24:30 PM
@SmartGold01
I will like a service that can make use of the latest price of bitcoin and naira but you will include the percentage that you want to charge instead. For example, the percentage can be 1% of the total amount to be exchanged. But do not mind me, you are the one that want to run your service, wish you goodluck.

You can be whatever you want to be but it would be foolish of anyone to ignore the community FREE escrow to patronize a paid escrow service. Their loss.
If that is foolishness, is it wise for someone to just conclude a service is not free when he has not seen what the service has to offer. It may be free or not. But not yet seen a service and being conclusive about it is totally not right in a public place if you make your conclusion or speculation public about the service.

Telegram once offered the ability to trade P2P with certain blockchains, which might be worth revisiting
The P2P on Telegram is moving more towards KYC and the rate is very bad for a centralized exchange. We do not also necessarily need to discuss about Telegram trading on this thread. Sorry for saying this. This is someone's P2P trading service thread.
