1461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: scammers with their everyday strategies on: February 25, 2022, 05:04:15 PM

Those people are also coming from those spam comments that seems like s/he or they are legitimate traders by making some random accounts that will vouch for them which is either a sold account or a fake ones. It happens all the time, OP. Although this one is where people are going to approach those scammers instead of scammers pursuing their victims.
In Youtube, there are also plenty of those especially when I check for recent comments.
1462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lessons learn so far on: February 25, 2022, 05:00:25 PM

Well I wouldn't obviously "invest" to a project if I do not have an idea what they're doing or where they are going to use my money.
This kind of reminded me when we were presenting Entrepreneurship Project back in the days where there are three so-called "investors" that needed to be given knowledge of what in the world are we trying to propose to them.
As for OP's question, even if I wasn't hunting for project, I would just say that I learned that nobody gives a crap about you when someone firstly or initially calls you from a reputated company without you even recalling that you contacted them, it's a scam.
1463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to hold with ease on: February 24, 2022, 07:03:14 PM

Wouldn't help it for some people that are entirely new to crypto. I mean like "volatile" would make someone think that it could go to the moon in an instant. Taking profits ain't that bad. It's just that some people are expecting too much in cryptos.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is one but has many attributes on: February 24, 2022, 06:58:41 PM
~
Well this is the first time I heard someone defining Bitcoin like that.
For me, it's nothing too complicated to be an asset, alternative payment method for some and a side investment as well. It's not going to be more complicated than that.
It's also just that something that you can hold without involving any authorities.
1465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NEVER BE IN A HURRY on: February 24, 2022, 03:48:45 AM
For anyone looking for tldr, it's basically the OP almost got scammed inside a trading group but then one of his friend warned him.

@OP, I always steer clear of social media platforms when it comes to crypto. I even recall spam bots randomly wanting me to contact them in Facebook so that they can "tothemoon"x my money.
1466  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WHAT KEPT ME GOING WITH CRYPTO on: February 23, 2022, 09:12:55 PM
As what COOLCRYPTOVATOR, it's the common lesson already for newbies out here learning to invest in crypto. That usual "eggs and basket" mindset.
It's nothing new, OP but I am happy that you were able to share some of it assuming that you indeed experienced these.
1467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: February 23, 2022, 09:10:42 PM
If you know that you're trading along with an unstable currency, never EVER make plans that immediately unless you're entirely sure with concrete mindset that you're going to be sitting in fortune soon. I wouldn't even blame your wife getting mad at you for that, unless she have a good paying job.
Never also borrow any amount that you will use for trading. It's way too risky. You're never even sure that you're able to pay that off.
1468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find ICOs worth investing? on: February 23, 2022, 09:37:13 AM

This.
Weren't they more like "obsolete" after that year? Most of it don't even reach the softcap at all due to how investor already perceived these types of projects.
I even recall a lot of users checking out in here through threads if they're still worth investing. I was like, "this wouldn't last a year or so" then it indeed happened.
1469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 08:52:16 PM

This one as well. I can recall.
I can imagine that some aren't even have moved on yet back in the days when Bitcoin was like 64k and seeing back to around 40-ish made them panic a lot.
It's more on like linear thinking for them.
1470  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Become a Legendary on: February 22, 2022, 08:28:07 PM
~
Well you don't literally have to wait. Just contribute to the best you can and time will tell if users would be willing to trust you. It's something you either give or earn anyway.
For what type of posts, it depends on what sort of "contribution" are you willing to give.
There ain't definite time to become legendary. I recall a lot of Hero Members in Meta and Reputation boards waiting their ranks to turn into Legendary at any moment.
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: February 22, 2022, 06:07:14 PM

Redundant topic, OP.
It's not something that should be discussed over and over. It's obvious to many people now that bear market is something to grab your favorite coins before it recovers and that's pretty much it to be honest unless we're talking about shitcoin since this is posted in Altcoin board.
1472  Economy / Speculation / Re: The long term way is down on: February 21, 2022, 09:10:41 PM
I'm not confused that BTC will reach a new ATH this year anymore since we entered 2022 every recoveries are not strong, on the long run the way is always down, what do you think? I'm i wrong or right?
You're neither of the two as you're just overthinking it. If you've been holding BTC for quite some year, this isn't anything new for you already. Do you recall when BTC was like down to 32k last year? I can't quite recall the exact month but it dipped like this before it went back up again.
It's just Bitcoin being Bitcoin.

I am pretty sure that this thread suits more in the Bitcoin Discussion board.
1473  Other / Meta / Re: Issue when I try to login from PC on: February 21, 2022, 08:55:47 PM
Nope, Bitcointalk.to doesn't work for few years already. But it might be other phishing websites - I guess there is plenty of such websites.
It would be interesting to know in what way OP tried to access Bitcointalk. If tried to do it through Google search results, it's very likely that it was phishing website.
Well there was this thread back in 2019 that listed some of the phishing sites- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5130480.0.
I thought that the "to" ones are like sort of mirror sites back then, but thankfully I never bothered logging into that one.
I can also confirm that most results are showing the "to" ones like what mk4 said, when I was trying to search for threads through Google search in my mobile phone.

I just saw that the domain was up for sale already. Cheesy
1474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: would you Invest here if they fix these defects? on: February 20, 2022, 08:47:16 PM
There website is really a rushed one if you would ask me. Either they don't have the time to polish it and just want to make the public know that they have a project that involves/benefits the bees or they are up for a quick buck and disappear into thin air.
Roadmap is okay, but there ain't no whitepaper for it which was a red flag for me. Not familiar with what BSC is though.

I could make this website within a day with just a plain CSS, JS and HTML lol.
1475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pay for coffee with Bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 09:11:57 PM
~
For just an ordinary cup of coffee, it might seem like that but hey people are innovative to coffee these days and putting all kinds of stuff. Most coffee shops here in my country are also selling frappe. From that they could at least adjust the price up wherein, it won't be an issue where you pay a fee and get a free coffee. It's not that difficult to be honest, unless you're still doing a startup for coffee shop business though I would advise sticking first to fiat and wait for your business to expand as well as your capital before you put Bitcoin payments as an alternative method of transaction there.
1476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter enables users to make and receive ethereum payments on: February 19, 2022, 09:08:01 PM
~
It's full of dramas and all those related stuffs where people just go and express their feelings that they think that the whole world cares. Cheesy
But eh, I don't think it would affect crypto at all. I have a feeling that they will pull that function out one day. It's nice to have some tipping feature but for what? What can make me tip a post composed of 280 characters, like it's just a Facebook post? Cheesy

1477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter now supports Ethereum wallets on: February 19, 2022, 07:25:09 PM
Quite surprised that Twitter got it first and earlier than Facebook. Facebook even had their own Payment system in their Messenger App, but it was obviously USD or whatever your local currency is. It's no use for me still even if I was former trader of Ethereum, as I usually just tread around Twitter for some juicy dramas and I can't even remember involving a single penny into it.

There are others mentioning here that it's just like a tipping feature. That's nice.
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Shiba Inu community is enraged by Microsoft's recent tweet on: February 18, 2022, 08:46:24 PM
~
From what I've read in this thread, this is the one that is most likely. Though that is just a one-liner tweet, I can't see why such reaction from the community becomes like this. Getting triggered that much, I guess? I do not really care about what MS implements in the future anyway, even if they implement NFTs in their upcoming updates to their unstable Windows 11 OS but seeing such other community react to this that much kind of makes me laugh.

I do not invest in meme coins. It's just hilarious on how some people from these meme communities are reacting.
1479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the difference ? on: February 18, 2022, 06:04:09 PM
Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash ?
I'm a bit confused now!
Back then I was confused about these two when I was still starting up, and I almost sent Bitcoin to a BCH address. Good thing I asked and searched.
If you're probably choosing what to invest between the two, better stick to the original one (BTC) rather than a forked ones. I would not bother with any forks of Bitcoin and I believe there's plenty of them out there. I even recall that there's such thing as BTG or Bitcoin Gold.
1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best way to make extra money on: February 18, 2022, 06:00:26 PM
OP is tagged from "Promoting a scam". I would advise anyone to stay clear of what even OP is promoting.
Is it your project? I don't think that's the best way to make extra money I would stay prefer staking with a reputable site or offering services to others to make extra money while having a consistent job. If it was your project and you are announcing it maybe you could move it announcement (altcoins) board. How can you make sure that people will make extra money and will not lose its money by participating or buying NFT to that project?
It is probably his/her project judging from the recent posts although there's variety of scam project that the OP is promoting. Not surprised if this account is being used by a lot of people to promote multiple projects.
