1501  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 11, 2022, 05:23:38 PM
~
Well we kind of had the similar experience as I personally didn't think about Bitcoin that much in 2013 other than it is a coin in the dark web where the shits stuffs happen, that's why I never bothered buying it and it turned out that I was wrong all along.
In 2017,  I bought my first few Bitcoins. The 2017 bull run was indeed memorable, but hey we managed to get past through on what was eyed on that year.
We're still not sure if Bitcoin would indeed be at 100k, but hey 60k was possible so...

It's a hidden desire ya know, OP? Everybody wants to be rich and that's the end of story. Maybe it's not the "rich" word that majority of people are pursuing but rather financial freedom. You never want your debt collector ringing your phone everyday..
Nobody stares at their wallets of course and I am not sure what you're trying to point out in here though.
1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we get more women to be involved in Crypto on: February 10, 2022, 09:11:04 PM
~
It's all about being into techies and stuffs. Most women I had talked with about technologies just don't seem to be interested at all. It's not all about that money, risks, and investment stuffs.
Maybe there are a lot of women in crypto, and they are just not too "talkative" about them being involved in crypto unlike us dudes.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hyperdoge on: February 10, 2022, 07:12:37 PM
What the hell is on with newer coins these days or I might be not looking that much in CMC lately? First I heard some coin created from the name of a son of a certain Twitter celebrity, and another Shiba variant recently in this board as well and now we got another one?
People are seemingly milking these trendy coins in the market expecting people to still fall for the same stuff and just put a catchy word along with the name.

Really? It's a "high risk, high reward" kind of decision and I cannot think of anyone loaning a large amount, as you mentioned that it changed their lives for the better, to invest to crypto. I love Bitcoin even with its unstable price, but I wouldn't do such risk to dig myself into more debts in the future.
Curious to those people that you're mentioning though.

Congrats in your first merit, OP and hopefully that motivates you further with your journey in here. It's been a while since your update in this thread, as I thought this thread would just seemingly die out with no absolute results in the end.
If the advices in this whole thread were enough, I would advise you to lock this thread to prevent further spams.

I gave you a merit for at least coming back in this thread, reading and replying to other's reply to you. Good luck with your journey, OP!

Unless OP is a long-term holder, then I wouldn't call it a crazy plan. I suppose that s/he is going to sell these coins immediately upon pump. There's no point in holding meme tokens unless you're just for it for the memes and nothing else.
And yes, it's a low value coin. Maybe the amount of what he bought is quite crazy but when converted it to USD, it shouldn't be that much.
1508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO COFFEE & CRYPTO MENU on: February 09, 2022, 08:52:07 PM
Dang, another one? I guess in Western Countries I wouldn't be so surprised that many are adopting crypto-themed fast food. It is slowly getting common now and now, huh?

Most of these crypto physical shops are opening in western countries because they have the proper infrastructure of the internet and they can deploy bitcoin payment methods. In an underdeveloped world in which there is no democracy and fewer literacy rates, it is a dream to start such a project. Technology is another hindrance for those countries to start such an innovative startup.
I guess that's the hit. It would be really great if one day some random dude here in my country decides to open up that kind of business and I wouldn't mind chilling in his cafe. Cheesy
Regardless if one day I could travel to US, I would definitely keep an eye out of these physical stores along with my hardware wallet that I am going to buy once I start travelling around the world. Cheesy

I kind of half-agree with this. Maybe they knew that Bitcoin is top of all in crypto but since it is kind of too expensive right now to buy, they're turning their money to these whatever trends you mentioned. I do not agree that it literally "gets left in the dust", otherwise it's a shitcoin right now and there are still many strong holders out there regardless of the trends in here.
Who knows where Bitcoin will be in the next halving as well? I kind of forgot of that as well.

Here in my country, I can kind of see that milk tea shops would be mostly the focus of any crypto-themed cafes that would open up. Kind of a meh for me to drink bubble tea, but hey if it is a crypto-themed, why not? Cheesy

It's been "turning ugly" since 2017. Remember when ICOs were still booming back in those days before IEOs?
ICOs were being discussed a lot in here, until slowly many of them disappeared from what I can recall ( I never bothered checking newer projects these days anymore not even those NFTs and Metaverse stuffs).
There's always going to be scammers, OP. That new token migration is one of the sneakiest stuff that I ever read, and good thing I did stop bothering buying in newer projects.
1512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The solution is just there on: February 08, 2022, 07:28:37 PM

If you even look in Scam Accusation here in the forum, you can see scammers faking their own photos and identity through photoshop making it impossible for even Google Image Search Engine to search similar images of the fake one to find the original.
It could lessen scams, but it won't stop it for sure. The exchange site that the coin is being traded at is also a thing.

Loaning to invest into something unpredictable is the last thing you'll ever do with your money. Meme coin or not, you really screwed up in that part. Even if I was a full time trader or even a whole holder of Bitcoin, the money I used to invest to those won't come from any borrowed money nor loan.
At least you realized where you went wrong. I can't say anything in the "crazy youtubers" part since I never really watched any of them except when I was learning day trading back in the days.

Regardless I wish you the best to get back your losses one day.
1514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the hate? on: February 08, 2022, 04:57:30 PM

It's not a bad plan at all. It's just asking the question on why would you invest to some coins with just almost a purpose of being a meme coin. I don't purely hate these coins for just existing, it's just that why these names and why from an internet meme instead of something that feels really that I am investing to a crypto coin and not just a meme that was mentioned or originated from some random photos in the internet.

When you're thinking about what he said in the OP, it's not actually impatience.  It is more like why people are still into investing in fiats or even centralized stuffs outside crypto.
Government already saw its value and that's why they're trying to regulate it, which is really stupid.

As of writing this, Bitcoin just went past 40k so that's something at least.
1516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT real store of value on: February 06, 2022, 08:25:05 PM

...Or even a random edited PNG/JPG files out there that are being called "NFTs" by some people. I heard that people just do those and call it a day after they posted it in OpenSea.
Others are calling NFTs also as another in-game currency which is quite common these days especially here in my country.

Was that a post from Twitter regarding those phishing links that were being sent through SMS claiming that there was a withdrawal from one's account under unknown IP and they want you to click the link to "cancel" it?
As long as you're not just clicking to any sorts of random link out there, you would be just fine.

Welcome to the forum by the way, OP!

I really love the design of their logo. It's that mixed of Cyberpunk and more futuristic touch along with cryptos though.
Loved the menu as well, I might try that Chipotle Toastie Chicken when I travel at Australia one day.

Expect more pump and dump craps in this bearish market. It's all a cheap opportunity for many people to take advantage of people's money.
Some even take advantage of the current movies trends and make a coin out of it. Some even make a coin out of the name of a certain celebrity in Twitter.
It's really really an absurd phenomenon, I know.

Yeah, I wasn't looking that much in the current Bitcoin price lately and was just surprised that we're now back in 40k. Kind of slow but hey we're getting there. Previously, I was eyeing on Bitcoin to be around 100k by the end of the year, but it won't matter if we don't reach it just yet.
In the end, a lower price was my opportunity to buy even more. I ain't whale though Cheesy.
