I read elsewhere that there is going to be a ZClassic airdrop. It is true?

It is not ZClassic airdrop. There will be a new coin "Bitcoin Private [BTCP]" that will be forked from ZClassic. If you have ZCL, you'll get free BTCP.

I see this on their site right now:

Code:
INR Withdrawals Update: INR withdrawals will be enabled tonight on the platform at 01.00 AM (on January 31, 2018).
Important points to note: INR 5 lakhs per transaction, INR 20 lakhs per user account per day, Transactions will be processed within 2 - 4 bank working days

Just placed stuck money withdrawal request , lets see how many days it take to hit bank .

Got PAID , They are slow but paying . Got paid my withdrawal request after 3 business days .

That's good to know. I like the liquidity and price range of Koinex. I am willing to open an account with them but currently new registrations are disabled. Hope that opens soon.

I would suggest you instead of Koinex use Coindelta , much faster and smoother . They verified me within 30 min and withdrawal so far i am seeing always within 3 - 4 hours during Banking hours only . Quite a nice experience so far with Coindelta over a week now . Koinex also paying but they slow , withdrawal take around 2 - 3 working days to hit bank .

Thank you for your feedback. I had never heard of Coindelta. I've only used Coinsecure & Unocoin. Just checked their site and looks good, I'll open up an account in few days and see how it goes.

Hi

Finally Jaitley said "The government does not consider cryptocurrency as legal tender and will work towards eliminating illicit transactions going on through crypto assets," says Finance Minister Arun Jaitley"

http://www.news18.com/news/business/budget-2018-live-updates-presidents-salary-up-to-rs-5-lakh-a-month-veep-to-get-rs-4-lakh-per-month-1647303.html

Now who is going to ask tax for it then ?

In an interview after the budget session, Jaitley said a dedicated committee is working to further clear gov's stand on the matter. I believe in coming weeks we'll have more clarity.
I really hope they classify it as a capital asset (like USA did) and the exchanges / trading is termed legal business.

Then only 10% tax correct ?

Apparently:
STCG tax (short term, profits made within 3 years) is taxed at normal rates based on your income slab, which can go up to 30%
LTCG tax (long term, profits made after 3 years) is taxed at 20% + surcharge and education cess

Reference: https://cleartax.in/s/capital-gains-income#assets

EDIT:
10% LTCG tax if you term crypto as "equity" asset
20% LTCG tax if you term crypto as "debt" asset
There is a gray area here and everyone has their own way of interpretation until government clarifies anything.

I personally think the new move of government to put 10% tax on LTCG equity assets is probably in line with their future plans of taxing people with crypto profits. So in near future the government may put crypto into "equity" category which will allow them to tax the profits @ 15% and 10% for Short Term and Long Term respectively.

USA has classified crypto as capital asset. Indian finance ministry has said previously that crypto is not legal tender (currency), hence it makes sense for India too classifying it as  capital assets.
It makes much more sense and also makes easier for them to tax it.

hello zclassic community. I have a noobquestion about the electrumwallet:
I downloaded the wallet and created a new wallet. somewhere in the options i could choose between "use private and public keys" or "use a phrase". I choose the "phrase"option.
my wallet seems to work fine. i already transferred 1 zcls to it. but my question:
i red alot about private keys and stuff for the fork, but i choose the "phrase" option when i created my zclassic electrumwallet. is my wallet good to go for the fork and will te electrum wallet also show the bitcoinprivatecoins when the fork is finished?
p.s. i also choose "standard" when i created the wallet. is this ok?

thanks!
good job zclassic team!

You're good for now. The wallet will not automatically show BTCP coins after fork. You're on ZCL wallet right now. After the fork, you'll need to import your private key (or seed; the phrase you're talking about) into BTCP wallet to claim BTCP.

What you can do now is export the private keys, and keep it safe along with the seed. Just go to menu options and you'll see an option to export private keys.
91  Local / India / Re: Crypto Involvement can Risk your Bank Account on: January 30, 2018, 06:48:24 AM
We risk the account if RBI issues any such notice in future. Until then, no bank has any right to close an account on these basis.

Hi;

I have been away from the topic for a while, has the new windows wallet been published?

Kind regards

Electrum wallet has been released: https://github.com/BTCP-community/electrum-zcl/releases/

That's what a "watching" wallet does: it watches the address but doesn't allow you to make any transactions. If you want to transact, create a regular wallet, not a watch-only. The rest of the process would be same, import private key etc.

Hmmm, I don't know what I'am doing wrong with it .

I think it's not possible with this one https://github.com/BTCP-community/electrum-zcl/releases/tag/Z!1.0.0

It's working! With the privatekey and NOT the address.

I just sent the small amount of zcl to cryptopia and it's working.

Thank you  Wink

Glad you got it working. Let us know if you need further help. An active and helping community is ZCL/BTCP's biggest strength.

hi guys, I`m new to ZCL and a bit confused on the wallet.
In the first page it says that win wallet is not yet available, website says the same but in the latest discussion i see that electrum wallet is available.
So where is the truth? Smiley

The Electrum wallet is available now. The first page of this topic is not updated. Go ahead and try the Electrum wallet, I'm sure it works fine.

......

Or do I have to wait till the fork and I get BTCP on my paperwallet?

Paper wallets are generally used for long-term investment (when you just want to HODL the coin for long term and don't want to spend them in near future). That saves you from installing a fully-functional wallet and from having to download the entire blockchain data to your computer.

That said, your ZCL are safe and you'll also get 3.28 BTCP for that. You don't have to do anything yet.

However if you want to spend or transfer your ZCL now, I can help you run the Swing wallet.

Thank you all...

I have installed latest electrum wallet, import address, I see my zcl... but I can not send it, it's watching only wallet.

I stil don't have a wallet ( see my posts about it if you can ).

I have my zcl on http://explorer.zclmine.pro/address/t1eHGJV6tBs4Qq7PLCxsjxoPcmU6ZaTPHBs , and I can NOT withdraw it.

I am giving 0.7 zcl to anyone who wants to deposit 2.5 zcl to my cryptopia wallet. If you do that I give you the key from the paperwallet above. Please contact me here of email info@weather.ba.

100  Economy / Marketplace / Re: "Man From Earth" Producers Pirate Movie Themselves, Accept Crypto Donations on: January 21, 2018, 02:59:20 AM
That is an interesting take, quite different from the conventional film industry. I will put the movie in my watchlist!

Has anyone seen this movie? How was it?

The movie mentioned in my post is the 2nd part. I have watched both parts and first one is awesome! If you want to watch both, you must start from the 1st part.

Here's the link to 1st part:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0756683/
https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/9340598/The.Man.From.Earth.2007.1080p.BluRay.x264.anoXmous

BTW, please consider donating something if you enjoy the movie. I already donated.
This is something new to my ears which even producers decide already to engage with bitcoin by means of sharing their movie into those common file sharing places. I got their intention which isnt bad at all. Thanks for the link posted and ill try to watch the movie and even i didnt like it  i would still donate. Cheers

Yeah, initially they were accepting only PayPal. But as I was their fan, I contacted them via email and suggested to accept donations via Bitcoin and they implemented it the very next day.

It's good to see their open approach towards crypto and accepting my suggestion very fast! They admitted they're new to this crypto thing and don't know how these 'wallets' work, so their easy approaach was to use coinpayments gateway.
