PipsTycoon appeared interesting, but it appears you need phone verification to do anything. I input my legitimate phone number and it rejected it as invalid. Not willing to put in time to a site with little to no rep and bugs right off the bat.

I take it you've never played GoldenTowns then? I'm afraid lots and lots of bugs in that team's games is a given. Cheesy

And yes, unfortunately, they added the phone verification requirement a few weeks ago - supposedly because of players abusing the referral system. I don't know if the issue you encountered may have been some sort of country limitation, or perhaps a mismatch between what they perceive to be your country (through IP) and the number you gave them - but yes, it's probably none of those, and just another stupid bug. Wink

In relation to their reputation (and, I guess, whether or not they will pay out), the team that made PipsTycoon also made GoldenTowns and, I believe, worked on MarketGlory initially before it was sold (or so I've been told; I haven't actually looked into that). As far as I'm aware (and pokerowned may disagree here), it doesn't seem like there have been any great issues with them so far in relation to deposits/withdrawals.
1642  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Games on: August 04, 2015, 07:38:30 PM

There are games online that you can spend or earn bitcoins. What are some games you know like this?

My example is coin brawl , it is a fun little simple game Cheesy

You may want to check out PipsTycoon (http://www.pipstycoon.com). I've only recently started playing it, but it comes from the same team that made GoldenTowns, and is very similar to MarketGlory. And of course, you can deposit BTC into the game and, I assume, withdraw BTC as well (I haven't gotten to that point yet: I've only won about $3 so far).

most people here are talking about games that have nothing to do with gambling
most of the mentioned sites are like faucets where you can money without investing , but if we are talking about games where you have to gamble then I would recommend Dargons tale

Well, Aleator did ask for online games where you could "spend or earn bitcoins" - most of those games fit the bill (as vague as it is). Tongue

Most of the games you guys are posting ended up not even paying out when users requested cash out. Goldentown being a top game in that category.

Dragon tales is a BTC casino that does pay out. Prob a top mmo but very tough to win there without using alot of money

Hmm, I've played GoldenTowns up until last year, and had no problems when withdrawing - granted, it wasn't exactly a lot of money, and I only made one request in total, but I still had no issues whatsoever. Other players I've talked to, both here and elsewhere, also made no mention of problems (and some of them withdrew far more than me). Have I missed out on any major news?
1643  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Ganhe Bitcoins enquanto joga on: August 04, 2015, 05:14:35 PM

Smiley
1644  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is eobot a scam? on: August 03, 2015, 06:09:38 AM
so in general it is not advisable to use it today?

As crazyearner and ardani332 mentioned, it would take you a while to get a return on your investment - over 12 months, according to the site*, and this not considering difficulty increases. So I suppose whether or not it is advisable for you to invest in it depends on how long you're willing to wait for ROI, how you expect the BTC price and difficulty to move, and how long you think eobot will stick around. It may just be safer to buy BTC directly, as crazyearner suggested. Tongue

*Cloud mining should be considered as a fun, recreational activity and not a source of income or investment. The above numbers reflect no difficulty increase. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.
1645  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Anyone in NY wanna partner? on: August 03, 2015, 04:31:35 AM
I've got a small 3th/s mining farm going (I get free power, I can explain more..)

I was wondering if someone in new york was interested in joining my mining team, or taking a look...

If you're interested, add my skype: bit.shark2

Or PM me, I have small activity so it will take a little to get a reply via PM

Out of curiosity, would you mind going into detail on how you're getting free power? Or rather, on how the bill will be getting paid. Smiley

gotta hide dem hard earned coins from the evil IRS

The IRS isn't evil, or even particularly effective... well, not if you have a lot of spending money, that is: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/26/opinion/sunday/the-irs-gives-up-on-dark-money.html?_r=1 - but I guess this is off-topic here. Tongue

Congrats! Guess your "lottery ticket" really paid off. Gonna keep it running and try your luck for another?

You bet, this train is chugging for the next year non-stop  Cool

Thanks for the support guys! Cheesy

Congrats. Keep us updated if you hit another one. Cheesy

So, how much from that is going into buying more miners?
1647  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Questions about mining bitcoin on: August 03, 2015, 03:45:48 AM
thanks for reply
cointerra  0.01/day waw is very low with me  .3 by month

iam see some video in youtube some coinrerra with 2TH make 0.22 daily  mean 6.6 bitcoin monthly  this is right or what

Hmm, are you sure the video is recent - that is, that the difficulty at the time of shooting wasn't significantly lower (maybe early last year lower)? Or perhaps the video was referring to those 0.22 BTC daily as coming from more than one miner, or within a pool?

Using the www.coinwarz.com calculator for the Terraminer model you posted above, current difficulty, and assuming I'm not missing something, I don't see a single miner as getting more than about 0.015 BTC daily - not considering the costs to run the miner.
1648  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Video: Solar-powered Bitcoin Mining farm on: August 03, 2015, 02:18:13 AM
I actually liked the built, a lot of people wonder about the "electricity" while they are running miners, ROI will be A LOT better with this.

Well, you do have to take into account the cost of setting up that source of power - if you factor in how much that will cost, ROI will likely be much harder to get. As several other users have pointed out already, it would make more sense to just find a place with cheaper electricity. Tongue
1649  Economy / Lending / Re: $1 Loan with collateral on: August 03, 2015, 01:56:34 AM
WOW so many people around here and NO ONE can Loan a $ to his fellow men. (or even donate!)

I can say that i am amazed of this behavior in the forum.

Sorry for this but, i believe that this is a miserable behavior.

I provide collateral and you say it cost less.

Well we can do this offer for $0,20 if you are satisfy with the amount or even $0,10.

I'm sorry Allution but, as whywefight pointed out, the amount doesn't seem to matter to scammers around here: profiting a few cents will do just fine for them, if they can get them for free - your willingness to drop the loan request to 20, or even 10 cents, isn't helping me feel this isn't just another scam attempt.

Another issue is, of course, that each loan that is provided with no collateral (or if you will, where the collateral isn't valid / worth as much as the loan) encourages others to make similar requests and expect similar treatment - and we've already seen an increase in such requests in the forum lately (most of them likely scams).
1650  Economy / Lending / Re: $1 Loan with collateral on: August 02, 2015, 06:37:01 PM
Hello,

In short terms, i need $1 in bitcoins. Please do not ask me why it is for personal use.

Collateral is my account. I made it on May.

Lend me here:   1NKqzQPSKNsJCbMrLqci4U14RCRFSnTEg4

Message me so i can change my password and give it to you ASAP.

Thank you.

You should probably include the repayment date, if you intend this to be a loan, and not an account sale. Tongue

Also, ideally you should use other forms of collateral, such as altcoins - not everyone is going to be interested in accepting a forum account as collateral.
1651  Other / Archival / Re: Personal Verified Payza Account (CHEAP) on: August 02, 2015, 04:58:29 PM
Title says it all. It can be used to buy bitcoins and receive them in 2 days or less. Already done once with no issues. Best thing about it? No fees! Been verified for years and not currently being used.

Price: 0.0225 BTC

We will use escrow or I will send first if I consider you trustworthy.

http://imgur.com/j9ntOkk

This seems like a bad idea for both sides: on the one hand, it should be fairly easy for you to recover the account, if you were so inclined (it is a verified account after all); on the other hand, if the account were to be sold, and then implicated in some sort of shady activity, would you really want to have any connection to it (they would obviously have your personal details; certainly Paypal, and likely the buyer as well)? Tongue

Also, there is always the possibility this is simply a hacked account, though it should be possible for an escrow to verify this and protect the buyer.
1652  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC on: August 02, 2015, 04:48:17 PM
Payza bank transfers are headache Cheesy but depends where he live

I've never had any problems while withdrawing funds from Payza to my bank account (in Europe), and I've been using their service since they were still called AlertPay (though, to be fair, it wasn't exactly intensive use Cheesy). You do have to pay a flat fee of about €3 for the withdrawal however, which makes small transactions not worth the cost.
1653  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC on: August 02, 2015, 04:40:59 PM
Im Selling btc.
I want a secure method, no chargeback..
Thanks

Hmm, have you tried using Payza (https://www.payza.com)? You can use BTC deposits directly to fund your account with them, and the rate is usually decent (and there are no deposit fees, supposedly) - you can then proceed to withdraw the funds to your bank account. Payza does require you to verify your account before you can do this though; on the other hand, no risk of chargebacks. Tongue
1654  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: August 02, 2015, 04:17:42 PM
BitStarz has restarted their signature campaign this month. As far as I can tell, there are only a couple of changes since last month that are worth noting though: the link to the campaign thread should be updated to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1141216; and Neotox is no longer managing the campaign - bitstars.net is now doing so (and monbux is still the escrow).

Bitstarz.net : (Thread)

Payments: F: 0.06BTC per month, S/H/L: 0.12BTC per month.

1655  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I Need Bitcoins I Have Funds in Freelancer.com Account on: August 02, 2015, 09:06:07 AM
Hi,
I Need Bitcoins I have Funds in Freelancer.com Account, I Looking for 420$ Worth of Bitcoins. If Any Person Is Interested And Having Freelancer.com Account I Will Open a Job and You Bid for 460$ I will Award you That Project and Transfer the Bitcoins and Collect the Milestone Payment from Freelancer.com. Please Let me Know If Any Interested. Thanks

I guess freelancer has the option of withdrawal in paypal or PM , if so send me a PM , i might be able to help you out

If I were you, I would think twice about this cryptosun - between sipredrica's trust feedback, and the way accounts like Freelancer work (and their limitations on withdrawals, and so on), this seems like a risky deal. If you're still willing to take the chance though, at least get an exterior (to freelancer) escrow to hold the funds for as long as possible.
1656  Other / Meta / Re: Questions about my account gets banned on: July 31, 2015, 03:48:48 PM
My alt account got message "
Sorry **, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
Insubstantial posts+sig ad (14 days)"
What does it mean? When can I post from my account?

You were banned for spamming while participating in a paid signature campaign.

Except for posts in Meta, you shouldn't post again (with any account) for 2 weeks, otherwise you risk a permanent ban of all your accounts for evasion.
1657  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Purchase: $5 USD for Bitcoin on: July 28, 2015, 11:33:10 AM
I am indeed looking at his sent feedback, sorry CEG. I would be willing to use a trusted Escrow, thanks for the explanation. However, I don't see how an Escrow would stop me charging the sellerback through PayPal in a week or so, it would only protect me, not the seller?

Pretty much; essentially, only you as the buyer would end up being protected in that case, not the seller (since Bitcoin is not reversible, and Paypal is) - the escrow will ensure both BTC and Paypal payments are transferred to the other party, but there is basically nothing he can do to protect against chargebacks.
1658  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Purchase: $5 USD for Bitcoin on: July 28, 2015, 11:01:20 AM
I tried to contact him for the exchange and he said that my trust ratings are 'risky'.

@op - You consider sending paypal first as risky? It is risky ON MY END because bitcoin is irreversible. Smiley

With everaja's warning, TRADE with EXTREME CAUTION.
I agree this is risky for the seller, but your trust doesn't seem to be 100% positive. I recently lost all of my Bitcoin (tell me about it) and left it behind for a little while, hence my inactivity and password reset. I would be willing to trade through Escrow, but I have no idea how :/

Hmm, maybe I'm missing something, but CEG5952's trust rating seems to be quite positive - not default trust positive, but positive nonetheless. He has no negative feedback on his account that I can see; maybe you are confusing his "sent feedback" with the feedback he received?

At any rate, if you do find someone willing to take the risk of trading BTC for Paypal, and you do want to deal with that someone, be sure to contact an escrow (contact one of the users featured in the following thread, for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0). They will guide you through the process (and it should be fairly simple and straightforward: the seller sends the BTC to the escrow; you send the Paypal payment to the seller; escrow sends you the BTC).

any , reliable sites to play whit bitcoin?

i used to play on pokerstars but they are not acccetping bitcoins yet Tongue

There are a few, apparently reliable, poker sites that accept BTC - and there are at least a couple of threads on this already. Tongue

Take a look at this thread, for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1128785 (includes a poll on everyone's favorite poker sites Smiley).
1660  Other / Meta / Re: Calculation of activity? on: July 27, 2015, 07:47:40 AM
When I started to use Bitcointalk, I read a thread which stated that the activity is maximal the days past since registration. For example, I registered 30 days ago and I have got 50 posts, then activity is 30. If i would have posted only 20 posts, my activity would be only 20 then.

But, I registered exactly 52 days from now, and I have got 72 posts, but my activity is 56. How can it be? Did I got something wrong in activity calculation?

Thanks!

Hmm, it seems you missed one 2 week period: the first, going from when you registered on June 5, up to June 9 - so you missed out on the initial 14 points, and can only get the maximum of 56 activity points, corresponding to the 4 periods you were active in.

In other words, the activity calculation doesn't exactly involve how long you've been registered, but rather, on how many 14 day periods you've been active (posted).
