Look at people that bought BT at 1300 sats it drops to 40 sats.. that is crypto world my friend.

No, dont blame crypto. Crypto principles are sound - blame the devs. If devs are open and honest and committed things in cryptoland would be much better. Or even worse, blame the unscrupulous sr and hero members that create coins with newbie accounts and once they dumped and made their profits the newbie accounts disappear Wink
2443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QTZ] Quartz - SHA - hiPOS! on: April 29, 2015, 07:02:37 PM
^^

Serioulsy??!?
Can you run the quartz on Raspberry Pi? :O
I dident even know this is possible. Can you do the same with bitcoin-core?
It must be like the safest and cheapest wallet ever Smiley

its a common practice you can run however it depends on the memory and CPU speed. i would recomed to use some external HDD with the pi and move your file system to it otherwise your SD card would get screwed in couple of weeks depending on the volume of read/write on it due to transactions or stacking purposes

I doubt that this is such a big issue. It might not break in a month or perhaps not even in 6 months. Even if it breaks every month, the Pi runs at 5W of electricity compared to 300W for a normal PC at idle. The electricity savings in a month would more than make up for a new 8GB card if you replace one every month (which is highly unlikely).

You can make an image of your SD card with win32diskimager and if anything ever becomes corrupted you just restore the image to a new card and carry on where you left off.

Here are Raspberry Pi wallets for v1.0.0.0 - both the Qt and the headless daemon.

Important:
1) The wallet was built on a Raspberry Pi2 (ARM7) running Raspbian. It might work on an older Pi but I have not tested it
2) Installation directory where the binaries are installed is ~/opt/Quartz or /home/pi/opt/Quartz
3) All that is needed is to execute the command below on your Pi in a terminal window and afterwards you click on the Quartz icon on the desktop
4) An Internet connection is required for the installation
5) A bootstrap.dat is used to fast track the blockchain sync - up to block 6809
6) You need at least an 8GB memory card
7) The installation itself takes about 30-45min and the loading of the blockchain (once-off) another few minutes since it is still small
8.)You cannot just download the binaries, you have to run the script to get the dependencies as well else it will not run
9) The installation script does not enable the UFW firewall by default. If you want to enable it, uncomment the UFW lines in the script and add the port you want open and run it again or enable it manually by running the UFW commands as in the script with the correct port numbers.

Let me know about any issues that you may encounter.

To kickstart the installation execute the following command at the command prompt or in a terminal window on your Pi:
Code:
wget https://bitbucket.org/jc12345/quartz/downloads/quartz_installation_pi.sh && chmod +x quartz_installation_pi.sh && ./quartz_installation_pi.sh && rm -f quartz_installation_pi.sh

it was better to buy now this wocx than give money for the ico !

It was trading several days above ICO price, even double ICO price, but it is like always, people take profit and ICO dumpers destroying the coin that they were part of.

It does not have to be this way if the dev just listens to the recommendations made to him.  Wink

A coin is not destroyed by the market, but through dev action / non-action.

Some of the wealthiest businessmen in the world went bankrupt 4 or 5 times in their life before getting it right. Going bankrupt means that your liabilities exceeds your assets and by definition you owed money that you could not repay. Having debt and not being able to pay someone does not automatically mean you are a scammer or a bad person as it depends on the circumstances - it could but not necessarily.

However, if it was me and I subsequently achieved success I would go back to the people I owned money previously and repay them with interest.

explorer?

Explorer, or scam!!! remember BitcoinT

I am sorry you got scammed. This does not mean every new launch without a block explorer is a scam though.

Like i said above. We are working on the getting the community a block explorer today.

And when you do get a proper one with total coin supply and other analysis tools like https://chainz.cryptoid.info/

2454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] The ARCH Network - NEWS on: April 26, 2015, 05:07:29 PM
Here are Raspberry Pi wallets for v1.2.0.0 - both the Qt and the headless daemon.

Important:
1) Always backup your wallet.dat first before you do anything
2) The wallet was built and tested on a Raspberry Pi2 (ARM7) running Raspbian Wheezy. It might work on an older Pi but I have not tested it
3) Installation directory where the binaries are installed is ~/opt/ARCH or /home/pi/opt/ARCH
4) All that is needed is to execute the command below on your Pi in a terminal window and afterwards you need to click on the Arch icon on your X desktop or go to the directory with the wallets and run the daemon (archd) with the options you want at the command prompt or in a terminal window
5) An Internet connection is required for the installation
6) I have made a bootstrap.dat to fast track the blockchain sync - up to block 193158.
7) The bootstrap.dat also works for Windows wallets. Windows users have to unzip/tar the file and copy the bootstrap.dat file into their c\users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\archcoin folder and run the Win client again
8.) You need at least an 8GB memory card
9) The installation itself takes about 45min on an out-of-the-box Pi, and the bootstrap import a couple of hours more
10) You cannot just download the binaries, you have to run the script to get the dependencies as well else it will not run
11) The installation script does not enable the UFW firewall by default. If you want to enable it, uncomment the UFW lines in the script and add the port you want open and run it again or enable it manually by running the UFW commands as in the script with the correct port numbers
12) Remember to confirm the checksums of your files to make sure that they downloaded ok. Execute the commands sha256sum <filename> and md5sum <filename> at the command prompt or in a terminal window in the directory where the file is that you want to check.

Users will be familiar with the Qt version of the wallet as per the Windows version. Instructions to use the headless daemon:

1) Since you have an archcoin.conf file with the startup settings in it, go to the folder with the binaries ~/opt/ARCH and enter ./archcoind in a terminal window to start the server to create the ~./archcoin folder. Exit the wallet.
2) Download and copy the bootstrap.dat into the ~./archcoin folder and run the wallet again
3) After the blockchain has been imported you can enter the normal wallet commands that you would as in a Windows debug console preceded with ./archcoind
4) Remember to always make a backup of your wallet.dat file before you do anything like encrypting it
5) To encrypt your wallet run the command ./archcoind encryptwallet <yourpassword>
6) To stake with your wallet run the command ./archcoind walletpassphrase <yourpassword> 99999999 true

Let me know about any issues that you may encounter.

To kickstart the installation execute the following command at the command prompt or in a terminal window:
Code:
wget https://bitbucket.org/jc12345/arch/downloads/arch_installation_pi.sh && chmod +x arch_installation_pi.sh && ./arch_installation_pi.sh && rm -f arch_installation_pi.sh

Cryptsy is a high class exchange - period. I would be very very happy if MTR lands on Cryptsy.

Many things in life cannot be foreseen. If you as a person are taken by a phisher for example, does not mean you yourself are a scammer or do not have ethics or morals. Or if you as a person put money into a scam and lose it does not make you a scammer.

Great updates. Just a question - why are the membership prices quoted in $? I though it is going to be all MTR which will be driving the demand for the coin.

im just messing with the people who alway keep crying a dev is nog online enough haha.
But these prices are below mining costs so i dont even know why people are selling.
I bought for 7000 on yobit this afternoon lol
Ya I know I've been snagging a few more here and there because I think that the Dev will come out with some great news and then everyone will be scrambling to get their hands on this coin.  Like some people just don't have the patience to wait for something good to happen with a coin.  If it doesn't happen right off the hop then they think that it's not worth their time and they just write it off lol Well I'm going to make sure that this coin makes a comeback that's for sure Wink
