I am talking about 1 item.. Not 25 Anyway, OP if you dont lower your price, i dont think you are going to sell them It was possible to break it down, so someone could have gotten 1, or 3 in this case, its the amount that you're selling. You're still asking 100$ more per than what the max for a S5 would be by comparing to current gen brand new cost, in the best case scenario for you.

$955 USD for 3.
Hah nvm, for that price i'll go buy a S7 instead. You can find S5's for under 200USD each, now =/ If you find s5 under 200$ then give me their usernames so i can buy Thats a bit of exaggeration.. If you find s5 under 200$ then give me their usernames so i can buy Thats a bit of exaggeration.. I've personally seen 3x S5s, including PSUs & shipping, go for $266 ea, and some dude is selling a whole lot of them for a bit cheaper than that. You are definitely on the high end of the price range. OP will have better luck selling them priced closer to $240-250ea, but that's just my opinion. Agreed, but under 200$ is extremely low.. <$200 is IMPOSSIBLE to find. ~$250 is a fair price. From time to time some are listed at this price. >$300 is not realistic since an S7 is cheaper.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1319206.0There was 25 available which come down to 190USD per before hosting fees which was pretty cheap. <$200 is IMPOSSIBLE to find. ~$250 is a fair price. From time to time some are listed at this price.
250$ is not really a fair price, 4x250$ is what a S7 cost now and 4xS5 at stock is still less hashrate than the S7 and .5 efficiency instead of .3. The only upside to buying at 250$ would be if the units are domestic, so you dont have to pay import taxes or such. Otherwise its a pretty bad buy at anything over 200$.

I see some very nice numbers here, but i also see some pretty high temps. What temp would be considered overheating, for the Avalon 6?

Wasn't posting much since last week, which is why I haven't encountered any payment issues yet. I believe they will be fixed soon(and hope I get paid) One question that has been nagging me though, is , how does the bot determine between a regular campaign thread and a signature campaign thread? Does it actively check the "Overview of signature ad" thread ?
The bot doesn't check this thread to decide what to ignore, it certainly has its independent very simple blacklist thread/section managed by Bitcoinboy. Its pretty simple to do when you can just add the board ID to ignore said board. In the case of hardware, if its coded that way, you would simply add "76" to the list to ignore the hardware section for example. " https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0" -> its pretty straightforward to change which boards are ignored. But having the bot "read OP to guess" sound like that would be way complicated for nothing.

I attempted to replace the fan on my S5 with a 4-pin Corsair fan I had lying around. However, when I power the miner up, the controller powers down the fan, and beeps after about a minute or so. Are not all 4-pin fans create equal? Is there a way to override this?
The miner will do this if you do not plug a fan in "Fan1", so make sure that if you only plug one fan, that you plug it in "Fan1", otherwise the miner will think there are no fan and the miner will shutdown to protect itself and then play an alarm.

You can sell your bitcoin to circle for no cost. Last time they btc rate was actually higher than on google if you search btc to usd. Coinbase charges about 1% fee. And i did 1 transaction with circle and got the ACH transfer to my bank of america account in a few days.
Is there a reason anyone who wants to sell btc for bank transfer not use circle or coinbase? I mean... you never have to worry about getting scammed at all.
Can someone tell me why ppl in the usa sell bitcoin for other funds? I believe many sell btc to others on localbitcoins for profit. But then again, it isn't exactly safe because of scams that i read about on localbitcoins.
Is there a reason why ppl even ask for wire/western union as oppose to doing this all through circle/coinbase? Because if you trade btc for someone's else bank wire or boa online transfer, i assume there is either no fee or YOU have to pay a fee. And with circle, there's no fee and with coinbase, 1 percent fee.
Now if you trade btc for someone elses funds and got a vig on it... like 1000 btc get 1020 cash or bank transfer, i can understand that. However, don't most ppl who sell bitcoin have to give a vig anyways?
That is what im confused. Thanks.
Some people want to do it anonymously i guess, or leave the trace out of their main bank account, or distrust a Centralized exchange since the point of BTC is just that. I do it in Canada now and it takes at most 24 hours to receive the money in my bank account and buying with interact is instant and cost a flat fee of 1CAD$

UPS and Fedex both seem to work fine for me. DHL is really hit/miss depending on where you live, I live on the edge of one of the routes. This means the DHL guy receives it quickly then sometimes ships through USPS mail when he does not want to drive to my edge of his route.... so sucks horribly and adds day's.
I really like UPS thought. I've had probley the best luck with them overall.
Same here... Better luck with UPS. The only time I use DHL is for any shipments I may get from J4bberwock in France. The DHL driver will call me and I will meet them at Wendy's Restraunt about 15 minutes away to avoid having to wait longer. I see, i used DHL to receive the one B8 i bought and it took an amazing 4 days(to Québec), so i received it the same week, i was able to pay duty online to avoid "delays" even though that was probably BS. And it was the cheapest. All in all i liked my experience, UPS tend to be a bit slow, though i never had any actual problem with them whatsoever. Fedex however, i had really bad experience and i plan on not using them ever again. I had good experience with CP/USPS too but its not an option here.

quakefiend420 i've done silly things and burnt the cables breakout board side, so i need to cut them (the burnt/oxidized cable part) and recrimp because the burnt/oxidized part is heating up to 54c now~ so not critical but need to be changed asap.
Do you know exactly what gauge of o ring i would need to buy online to recrimp them? Thanks.

Completely new to bitcoin mining and wanted to get into it as i have free power for a few months. locally there are a few people who have antminer s3's and i wanted to know approximately what the current resell value on this fourm is assuming fully working. Apoloes if im not posting this in the right place
This is a good location, though good odds you were moved here. Anyways; 100USD without the PSU. You should be able to ROI before your few months of electricity run out. So it would be a decent deal if you resell them at the end of your "free electricity" period for some extra profits. Good luck.

hedgy73 meant a picture of the miners themselves with your username and the date of today written on a paper. Do it quickly. If I were you I wouldn't joke with him ! People are not going to go for a random escrow either, traders here will want to use professional/trusted forum escrow such as; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303281.msg3244972#msg3244972

I received, today, a payment for 135 posts out of 171 for this week and last week. And i am still missing over 200 unpaid post from the 3 weeks "bot break" before we changed bots.

Saving some mining funds, maybe we could arrange something out, I'm living in Trois-Rivières.
In about a week or 2 it would be almost sure that I take one of your tube.
Sound good, let me know when you have something tangible in mind. You can PM me anytime also.

Wow, great info guys. I will definitely be reading the white paper by Satoshi Nakamoto as well as the other link Harry provided. As far as the YouTube tutorial...the starting process my understanding was DL a wallet, DL something like GUIMiner, join a pool, and mine. The video showed that unless you have a fast computer you wont really make any profit. I am not all that interested in making a profit at this time, but at the same time I don't want to blow up my computer. He mentioned that you could invest in a really good graphics card to get more out of mining sessions. I don't really want to leave my comp running 24/7 either. But what I gathered from these replies is that the mining process requires some extra hardware that I don't have. I will look more into the hard ware that is required. Thanks again. Very helpful!
I did not see that video but it is probably years old, GPUs can't effectively mine BTC anymore, and GUI miner is extremely outdated and irrelevant. You'd do much better even with an outdated Antminer S1 for 40$. If you wanted GUI nowaday you'd probably use the cgminer pretty much everyone uses but with something like "Awesome Miner" which is a watchdog software that will monitor and manage cgminer the way you want. But making a simple .bat file is very easy, so that would not be a problem, but typically miners that aren,t self contained nowadays are controlled by a raspi running the same self contained firware for the other miners or something like Minera. All in all, pretty much all the information you mentioned is obsolete.

Untill the end of 01.01.2016 all our prices will be the lowest you can find on the market.
Is that so? Look cheaper here to me; https://www.bitmaintech.com/product.htmEdit: Ouch 25% Markup due to VAT sound nasty.

Why we have Bitcoin Ultimate, XT, Classic? What does it mean for normal bitcoin? Is very confusing.
Are they compatible with each other, i.e, can I switch from normal Bitcoin to XT or to Classic and keep my current bitcoins?
They are all potential president candidate, so far no one wins majority vote None is getting a visible minority vote either. Its a lot of noise, but the network does not care too much right now. As long as no money is being lost, nothing is really going to budge.

The price of the kw in usd is 0.07
Sound risky for something that is equal to one year worth of your salary at that electric cost, its okay, not great but not horrible either. Play around with this; https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculatorTry with best case scenario 4% diff jump, then 8%, then 15%. See what your returns are with 4730GH/s, 1440watts and 0,07/kWh electricity costs.

don't want to be rude, but 3 weeks without being payed corretly plus 1 week without payment, + another one heading, is really asking for trouble here
you need to fix this asap, i understand your problem in real life, but this is dragged too far already
I am also still waiting for any sort of more active feedback. I saw several "working on it right" from marco and bitcoinboy combined, but still no payout. Hmm.

they make what your looking for. its called an air-conditioner. Its designed for this.
^ He's right. A freezer is built to get cold and stay cold in a closed environment. It isn't meant to be a cooling system long term. It has very little BTU capability, yeah it would burn out. I have the same setup as OP in my sound proof box, but the intake is winter cold. Now there's no risk with blowing up that compressor
