I don't understand why the Bitcoin community embraces scams like Ponzi schemes so enthusiastically. Crap, theymos had (still has?) a link to a Ponzi scheme in his sig for the longest time. It's just sad. And letting one of the least reliable forum posters run one in the main forum for "charity" is beyond embarrassing.
If you read the rules for Ponzi and still think it's a scam, you're an idiot. It's a voluntary activity. Giving money to Nigerian princes and joining Amway is also voluntary. That doesn't make either any less of a scam. Scams that prey on people's natural stupidity and greed don't stop being scams simply because the mark isn't robbed at gunpoint. So, are you saying slot machines, Black Jack, Roulette, State Lottery, and all other forms of gambling are a scam? In this "ponzi" everyone is aware of what it is and what the chance of payout is. How is this not just a Ponzi style lottery? +1. You nailed it.

Nigerian princes promise something that they can't deliver. I don't. Amway is a perfectly legitimate business by my standards (or at least the concept of Amway -- how they operate is an entirely different matter...). Some people win, others lose. Gambling as a whole "preys on people's natural stupidity and greed." That doesn't make it morally wrong. I'm tired of arguing with people like you.

Economy / Gambling / Re: BITCOINDUIT --- Now back at Bitcoinduit.com

Today I found a bug in Bitcoinduit. If you create a round while the server is running its update script, bitcoind is locked down and you get an error. It then enters a blank entry where a bitcoin address should have been in the database. This causes the update script to crash. I'll be working on this.

Just wanted to point out a possible scam on bitcoinduit.com. A game called "DonatetoBitcoinduit" has been made and, as per the rules, the player who created the game takes the pot. If this is NOT actually a bitcoinduit created game, it is actually a scam.
Don't worry, I made that. The 900000% ROI was to show people that I made it, because only I can modify the DB to allow such a huge ROI. edit: by the way, want a 1 BTC freeroll? If so, send me settings!

This is starting to smell like a market reversal...
Was waiting for you to say that! lmao I'm not saying that it looks like one of course... Not yet. But it does smell like one. You said 3.36 was a reversal in your eyes... A preliminary indication of a reversal.

We don't seem to have a good rally thread going. So I decided to start one.
I have been wanting so say this for a while: is it just me or all the threads in the speculation forum are the same? I mean, the initial posts are usually related to the thread title, but after a couple of pages everybody is talking about market predictions, log charts, trends, etc. When I open the forum I feel that clicking in "9 days - 8 green 1 red is this unprecedented?", "How many of you Bears have ever been a victim of a Short Squeeze?" or "Is the price slowly climbing?" is the same. I will just see random content unrelated to the thread title. +1. We should clean up this forum or something. lol.
