781  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Not afraid of risk? Get up to 1% daily! - OBSI.HRPT on: September 12, 2012, 05:05:51 PM
Interesting that the price has dropped dramatically. Obsi has not even lowered the rate yet, let alone missed a payment.
782  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] CPA - No Dividends for the month of August, 2012 on: September 12, 2012, 04:35:04 PM
I've talked to Usagi and it seems CPA is generating a sizeable income. She appears to be well-invested in it and her confidence is sincere.

I will say CPA is a bit undervalued at the moment.

Atlas is trying to pump and dump CPA. I've seen this message many times from random email addresses "Quick, check out penny stock XYZ, which experts call undervalued! The price is about to jump, buy now!"

Atlas, please keep crap like that out of our forum.

Hey Atlas, have you met Dank yet? I think you two could be great friends.
784  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] μ - Bitcoin Venture Capital (Asset ID "MU") on: September 12, 2012, 04:19:23 AM
Weekly NAV Growth: (986.794-1069.393)/1069.393=-9.99%

Weekly NAV Growth: (934.061-986.794)/986.794=-5.34%

That is two disappointing weeks in a row. Are you actively trading shares? I see some decent opportunities here and there for market making. What is your plan to have better performance in the future?
785  Other / Meta / Re: Replying without bumping up? on: September 12, 2012, 03:06:55 AM
Alternately, should there be a way to bump without posting? For example, people who list things in marketplace bump them if nobody has bought it yet, but a post which consists of "bump" is kinda pointless. Perhaps have a once per day rule so it does not get abused?
786  Other / Meta / Re: Atlas and a public plea on: September 12, 2012, 03:01:32 AM

In 87 posts and little over a day, Atlas has started 14 topics (including one poll). I believe this does not meet the condition given. This is a public plea to continue enforcing sanctions upon him until his thread creation is truly reduced.

At this rate, how soon will he have the most posts on the forum?
787  Other / Meta / Re: India sub forum on: September 12, 2012, 02:57:40 AM
Now that we have an Indian subforum, what are the rules? Are people allowed to post only in English, or Hindi, or can they use any of the many Indian languages?

No need for rules until it gets bigger.

So as of right now, you can post in any language. That sounds fair to begin with. I guess if it actually gets used alot there could be child boards designated for various languages.
788  Other / Meta / Re: Atlas and a public plea on: September 12, 2012, 02:55:45 AM
I think it would be fair to limit his ability to create new threads. Let him make, say, 1 per day. That is still much more than anybody else on this forum. His threads tend to be repetitive and clutter up the boards. Many of the threads he starts should really just be replies to existing threads.
789  Other / Meta / Re: No betting rule in the forum. on: September 12, 2012, 02:51:48 AM
Don't we already have a gambling subforum where bets can go?

791  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which is the BEST military rifle? on: September 12, 2012, 02:42:32 AM
Best military rifle?

Whichever one is in my hands when the shit hits the fan.

When the shit hits the fan, which rifle would you most like to be holding? Which would you be most likely to be holding?
792  Economy / Lending / Re: In fairly dire need of a $25k USD loan on: September 11, 2012, 07:42:17 PM
Are you generating income from your bitcoin investments? Is it enough to pay back this loan?
793  Economy / Lending / Re: 2000-4000 BTC loan - Hookah Lounge on: September 11, 2012, 07:36:57 PM
Why not put it up on the GLBSE to get more donators investors?
794  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Remove Marketplace subforum on: September 11, 2012, 05:29:50 PM
Perhaps if the Marketplace were to be limited only to those services that use bitcoin as one of their payment options rather than letting in anyone that's trying to sell shares/wares for bitcoins, it might go a little way to cutting down on the Suckerfest.

That certainly looks like a rule to me, just a very vague rule.
795  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Remove Marketplace subforum on: September 11, 2012, 04:38:39 PM
If you do not like the marketplace, you can change your settings to ignore it.

It's not about liking or disliking the subforum. I like commerce. Love it, as a matter of fact. But the Marketplace seems to focus on people making money now rather than working to ensure that this new little currency is being accepted in the wider world.

Perhaps if the Marketplace were to be limited only to those services that use bitcoin as one of their payment options rather than letting in anyone that's trying to sell shares/wares for bitcoins, it might go a little way to cutting down on the Suckerfest.

Perhaps put the Marketplace under its own domain (bitcoinmarketplace.com or some such) and take it off the main forum.

I don't think you understand the point of the marketplace.

It is there so that people can do things with bitcoins. Many times, this involves selling something shares or wares.

I am not sure who you think would be elgible to post in the marketplace under your rules?
796  Other / Meta / Re: India sub forum on: September 11, 2012, 04:31:23 PM
Are the local subforum based on location or language?

Perhaps you could start a thread in the "Meetups" subforum about people in India?
797  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Remove Marketplace subforum on: September 11, 2012, 04:28:13 PM
This has been suggested before.

If you do not like the marketplace, you can change your settings to ignore it.

This forum is based around a digital currency. A currency is useless if you cannot spend it somewhere. Th marketplace provides a place where people can trade using this currency. If you remove the marketplace subforum, all those posts will just be put into the main bitcoin discussion board.

My vote: leave the marketplace as it is.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Questions about Bitcoin on: September 11, 2012, 04:00:45 PM
Was really weird when I saw satoshi answer what I thought was a new thread.

We are now using necromancy to bring Satoshi back to life!
799  Economy / Lending / Re: Are you sick of getting scammed?! Then come on in...... on: September 11, 2012, 03:25:39 PM
scam

Who are you calling a scam? Yochdog or Obsi? Do you have any evidence to back it up?
800  Economy / Lending / Re: Are you sick of getting scammed?! Then come on in...... on: September 11, 2012, 03:15:39 PM

Q.  Why on Earth would I lend to you when I can get <insert insane weekly APR here> with Pirate, Hashking, PPT, Bitcoinmax , etc?

You forgot about OBSI.HRPT (1% per day), which is still going!
