I am bitcoin support

Send me public key and I will examine account for you

 Grin Grin Grin

What are you going to do with a public key? To do anything meaningful you need the private key ... Tongue
142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A lot of virtual currency which is the best on: June 19, 2013, 06:34:30 PM
bitcoin

Heh, yeah, that is the obvious answer. Bitcoins are great, the others are all pure speculation.
143  Other / Meta / Re: Auctions on: June 19, 2013, 06:31:34 PM
Good idea,  Hopefully a 3rd party service will corner the market with a better auction UI at some point.

I wonder why bitmit isn't catching up.

I was just thinking the same thing, there is BitMit which is built for doing auctions.

I think part of it is people like to have the reduced anonymity of the forum as a partial system of trust, or something like that.
144  Economy / Services / Re: Rent out your signature! Up to 0.25 BTC / month on: June 19, 2013, 06:27:55 PM

All the others sigs are confirmed. I'm going to look into the activity, and for the next cycle we'll probably change our model and move away from # posts. For now nothing changes and we still have spots open.

What? why change it? You can still check to see how many posts people have, and the number of posts is the number of places their signature shows up, so it makes sense that is what you would be paying for, right?
145  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: //// Why are BTC profits dropping so low?? \\\ on: June 19, 2013, 06:21:45 PM
Instead of starting a new thread, I will just ask here

Does difficulty change per Block cycle or time? ( or are those almost one and the same)
- if the hashing power increased 5x overnight would that mean we would mine 2016 blocks faster and retarget would happen 5x as fast?

Difficulty is changed based on the number of blocks. When the block number is hit, the new difficulty is changed. So yes, if the network rate doubles the new retarget happens in only half the time.
146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WTFFFF on: June 19, 2013, 06:02:56 PM
Bitcoin doesn't have a support team.

What business/service/website are you using?

+1

Maybe you should talk to the people you were actually interacting with, rather than shouting in a internet forum they probably are not reading?
147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: //// Why are BTC profits dropping so low?? \\\ on: June 19, 2013, 06:01:23 PM
You profits are getting low because other people are increasing their bitcoin mining and getting the bitcoins before you do.

Also, your title is obnoxious, on this forum we generally discourage using superfluous characters in the title.

Take a look at ripples too. There are some very heated debates about whether they even count in the same context, but clearly some people are trying to use them as an investment.
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terracoin, is it dead? on: June 19, 2013, 05:50:07 PM
Terracoin seems to have fallen off of planet Earth, the price has collapsed and the Terracointalk forums are a ghost town. Has this coin been abandoned and is there any hope for it to make a rebound? I noticed there was some talk of developers taking it over but just wanted to know if anyone on here knew anything.

It is a crapcoin and nobody ever used it. There was just the creator and a bunch of his alts/sockpuppets promoting this, it has been abandoned and nobody cares but you.
150  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] SKS on: June 19, 2013, 05:40:37 PM
I've never personally seen one go for 750$ but the days of the 200$ SKS are long gone.

The best resource for pricing is www.gunbroker.com. You can see plenty there for 400-600 + shipping and transfer fees.

I can't imagine spending that much for an SKS, but that's the market.

No way would I spend that much for a "doe" gun either.  I live in a state with no transfer fees and F2F selling and a bunch of drillers/pipeliners coming from Texas with a bunch of money and nothing to do buying up this stuff like crazy.

just looked at gunbroker, it looks like most of the bids are in the 250-400 range, but maybe I am just reading it wrong?
151  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] SKS on: June 19, 2013, 05:10:43 PM
My brother has one, would have to ask him if he wanted to sell.  It has been switched out to the synthic stock I believe and I think he had 2 30 round banana clips.

First question is what would you be offering ball park because around here those arent going anywhere cheap.

Actually I would prefer to have the factory 10 round fixed mag, less likely to run into problems with "assault weapon bans" that way.

I saw one a couple years ago for 1.2 btc (in today's exchange rate), kinda kicking myself for not buying it then. I guess I was thinking if I could get something for near 2.5 btc would be a good deal, but I wold consider offers above that.
152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MPEx on: June 19, 2013, 05:08:07 PM
MPEx? Never heard of it.

Such thing as google? mpex.co
153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MPEx on: June 19, 2013, 05:04:47 PM
Oooo, I think you might have just opened up the floodgates ....
154  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey - The Ultimate (Delicious) Store of Value on: June 19, 2013, 05:01:00 PM
And honey is easily converted into Mead. Yum, yum!

I might take you up on some of this, have to check with the miss.
155  Economy / Goods / [WTB] SKS on: June 19, 2013, 04:57:13 PM
Anybody have an SKS lying around? I would prefer a Russian or Yugo, but Chinese could work too.

I would prefer a working model, but with a decent discount I could take something less than functional.
156  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beer for bitcoin on: June 19, 2013, 04:50:17 PM
I made some Mead at home, and I used some fresh Michigan apple cider to make a batch of hard cider, both were very yummy. The process takes a few weeks but is overall very easy to do.

157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: getting past newbie on: June 19, 2013, 04:47:05 PM
why did they even make a newbiejail?

Back in 2011 there was a massive problem with people making new accounts to spam the forum and using multiple accounts to run scams or just scam people and start a new account and scam again. So the forum administrators created the newbie forum, it has helped to some degree but you still need to watch out for scammers.

so how many posts do i need to allow me to post in the regular forums

I think that information is in the sticky at the top of the the board, 5 posts and 4 hours of activity.
158  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Way to get round the 5 post limit... on: June 19, 2013, 04:43:31 PM
Don't know if anybody has said it yet, but there is the whitelist request thread, that is a simple way to get around the 5 post limit.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why 1000 alternative coins?? learn from Linux project on: June 19, 2013, 04:41:56 PM
Hi,

Why every 5 minutes we see two new coins... We have to learn from Linux project ... 100 distribution but only one or two are working well...

So think before to develop a new shit coins... x coins, y coins.... to not said other name...

I think we have to support  max 5 coins and leave those stupid coins go away...

Thanks

Alright, lets pick a couple that are worth keeping:

Bitcoin (the original)
Namecoin (has utility as distributed DNS)
Litecoin (uses a different algorithm than bitcoins, there is some traction (places to actually use it))
Ripples (totally different algorithms, useful currently for using Ripple, but may be made obsolete if an XRP-less clone of Ripple can be made)

No let's keep Sexcoin, Porncoin, Hazardcoin, Snipercoin and Icecoin. Coins that have a future

Don't forget VaginaCoin. It's future is wide open!

Lol - But after that it looks pretty rough.  Wink
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to shut down scammer / phishing websites? on: June 19, 2013, 04:34:30 PM
This is bitcoin ... there should be a way to pay for a DDoS against them ...
