661  Economy / Securities / Re: TYGRR.* assets on GLBSE delisted. on: September 27, 2012, 05:36:14 PM

You want people to sell the codes and you want me to reject some of the codes? You also want me to refuse people from using the codes after 3 months. umm... This is not going to end well...  Honestly this sound like something Nefario would suggest.

It does, doesn't it. The same sort of ill-baked McGuyvering.

So the alternative to what I suggested is what? Do absolutely nothing? Seems to be working out al right for you up to this point.

No, I don't want them to sell the codes, but that is something they could do if they do not want to do the claim process themself. I was just suggesting you put a time limit on it so you don't have a bunch of unclaimed shares sitting around, and then sometime next year somebody tries to get their shares. Stating that codes will only be redemed to the first party who presents them would emphasise the fact that they should protect the code until they redeem it.
663  Economy / Securities / Re: TYGRR.* assets on GLBSE delisted. on: September 27, 2012, 03:11:38 PM

1 - Give Nefario a btc address and get your customers money from him.
2 - Go to cryptostocks, open up assets corresponding to the assets you had on GLBSE.
3 - Send out communication to assetholders, put up a big notice on this forum, if you have a website then put a notice there, etc, etc.
4 - Have asset holders provide you with the claim code and a cryptostocks account, transfer them the shares.
5 - Stop whining.

Sure sounds reasonable let's see if we can do this...

Now what do I do if someone uses the code more than once? Since Nefario gave out the codes he will 100% back them correct?

Or what if they don't want a cryptostocks account?

Or I can't reach them?

In your comunications, explain clearly that codes will only be redemable once, to the first party that uses the code, and you are not liable if somebody lost or stole a code. Say something like "any shares not redemed in 3 months will be absorbed by the company". If they do not want a cryptostock account, I suppose they could sell the code to somebody who does.

shock   Wink

I know, right? Why can't any high yield programs last around here?
665  Economy / Securities / Re: TYGRR.* assets on GLBSE delisted. on: September 27, 2012, 02:46:49 PM
I assume Goat should have copies of his contracts, oh wait, one of them was "Test", looks like I had that one backed up in my brain Smiley If he did things right, they should have been gpg signed, so even if he brings out the copies people can still check to see they are correct.

Now Goat, here are a few simple steps to clear up this mess completely:

1 - Give Nefario a btc address and get your customers money from him.
2 - Go to cryptostocks, open up assets corresponding to the assets you had on GLBSE.
3 - Send out communication to assetholders, put up a big notice on this forum, if you have a website then put a notice there, etc, etc.
4 - Have asset holders provide you with the claim code and a cryptostocks account, transfer them the shares.
5 - Stop whining.
666  Economy / Securities / Discuss OBSI.* here on: September 27, 2012, 02:34:44 PM
So, Obsi is making a break for the exit. He is closing all his GLBSE assets, and locking all the threads. I thought I would open this thread for people to continue the discussions that have been locked.

Like, for instance, is OBSI.HRPT a collapsing ponzi? How much has everybody lost in all his assets? etc, etc.
667  Economy / Securities / Re: New Asset idea, Cambodian rice sharecropping (4% to 6% a year) Feedback wanted! on: September 27, 2012, 02:24:35 PM
Maybe you could get a rice distributor to adopt bitcoin, then you can sell the rice for bitcoin, thus removing one step of transactions? This might take a few years, but eventually everybody will know about bitcoins, and many will see the advantages of the system for international payments.
668  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - low risk, dank soul guarantee - 1.5%-2.5% weekly on: September 27, 2012, 01:00:53 AM
i thought this was a bank thread, not a sound board.

Since the money deposited in Dank's "bank" is used by Dank for his personal expenses, whatever Dank happens to be doing is on topic in this thread.
669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - The First Five Questions on: September 26, 2012, 09:06:04 PM
Very good explaination of bitcoins.

In the answer to question 2, your first two bullet points are sorta wrong.  ...  And transfers aren't really instant either, which ties into point 7.

Compared to normal wire trasfers where you wait days, the ten minutes for bitcoin is pretty instant. And the transaction is instantly spread thorugh the network so you don't even have to wait the ten minutes to see the transaction.
670  Economy / Securities / Re: [CPA] [NYAN] [BMF] The Wind Changes Direction -- are you prepared? on: September 26, 2012, 08:38:52 PM

If I offered to do this mr. bear I assure you I have the resources. It is not a problem finding someone to do work like this, I assure you. This goes on in the real world all the time. Paid bashers. All the time. But I ask you; where are my employees? And who are my competitors? I am an insurance company. WTF? I'm the only one! Hot shit. EskimoBob OUTED himself on this one. It's so obvious. Right after "someone" offered to employ eskimobob (and a number of others probably), trolls start appearing and trashing my threads.

Isn't it ironic that they would try and lay the blame on me. Only problem is, it doesn't make sense and actually points to them.

I was just wondering that myself, who would you even consider a competitor you would need to bash? I suppose MU could be considered a competitor of BMF, but why even bother?

I am not really familliar with all the details of IRC, how easy would it be to sign in using another person's name? How easy is it to fake logs, couldn't you just edit them to your hearts content after pasting into the reply, or even fabricate the whole thing from scratch?
671  Economy / Securities / Re: <nefario> [Pirate assets] are not listed or traded anymore on: September 26, 2012, 07:46:40 PM
Personally, I think that trading in defaulted assets should have been halted from the outset but sooner or later the Bitcoin world is going to need to come to grips with the concept of "sophisticated investors" and offer certain investments only to those who can meet certain income/asset benchmarks.  Of course this requires verifying people's real life financial information so it's likely to be unpopular with many.  And people are still going to create pass-throughs to high risk offerings, but it's a step towards making those who promote high risk investments more accountable.

So you are saying that rich people are somehow better than poor people? That having a certain amount of money should allow you more freedom than people with less money? And who is to say where the cutoff is?
672  Economy / Securities / Re: [CPA] [NYAN] [BMF] The Wind Changes Direction -- are you prepared? on: September 26, 2012, 07:15:15 PM

So, your honest Usagi is actually a scumbag who is willing to pay for users to troll hes competition, while he wastes your hard earned coin on questionable "investments"

Oooh, pick me, pick me! I'll do it! Just send me the list of targets and I will troll the heck out of them for a salary in bitcoins Smiley

Although, now that the plan is out in the open, it might not work so good. But You could still pay me to put up posts.
673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much money have you spent on Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2012, 03:59:27 AM
I put $100 in, have taken about $400 out, some as cash and some as Amazon gift credits, which I use to keep my Kindle full.
674  Economy / Lending / Re: 3000-6000 BTC loan - Hookah Lounge - 9/18/12 Update on: September 26, 2012, 12:08:36 AM
Time will tell who is right.

So how much closer are you to opening that lounge?
675  Economy / Securities / Re: [BMF] MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT INSIDE on: September 25, 2012, 08:21:33 PM
Usagi, I will give you some friendly advice: only buy things that the fund is supposed to be invested in. BMF should only be investing in mining. Low risk does not include ponzi schemes. Also, untangle your funds, do not use one fund to invest in another fund, it just makes everything worthless.
676  Economy / Lending / Re: 3000-6000 BTC loan - Hookah Lounge - 9/18/12 Update on: September 25, 2012, 08:16:25 PM
Who was talking about evolution?  Evolution and creationism are both correct.  We evolved into what we are, yes.  We were also created, by the universe, by god.  We are made of the universe.

Again, it's just the perspective you're looking from, both are true.

Evolution has predictive power and is useful. Creationism predicts nothing and is therefore useless.
677  Economy / Securities / Re: <nefario> [Pirate assets] are not listed or traded anymore on: September 25, 2012, 03:55:20 PM
Sounds like now is a good time to pick up cheap shares of pretty much everything.

I sure hope all the fund managers are watching and scooping up deals for their clients!
678  Economy / Securities / Re: [BMF] MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT INSIDE on: September 25, 2012, 03:11:59 PM
Isn't BMF supposed to be a mining fund? Why does it hold ANY of the no relation to mining whatsoever OBSI.HRPT?
679  Economy / Lending / Re: Staking at Pokerstars on: September 25, 2012, 02:44:34 PM
So you are asking to borrow other peoples money so you can go gamble it away?
Yea' yea' troll somewhere else.

This isn't borrowing.

Right, it is not borrowing because you are not promising to pay any of it back. Why are you posting this in "Lending" instead of "Gambling"?

Oh, and you basically asked to be trolled by sticking that spammy looking post in "Securities". Get a clue, look at how all the other subjects are formatted, see how yours does not fit in?
680  Economy / Lending / Re: [CLOSED PENDING DEPOSITS] [CPA] [BMF] [NYAN] Liquidity Loan Request on: September 25, 2012, 02:42:59 PM
Why would you take money that u dont need with interest more than average?

Dont need? She will require all the coins she can get her hands on.
I just had a look at the NAVs of  nyan.x using her own method;

NYAN.A I get ~990 BTC, down from 1619 last week -38%
NYAN.B I get ~1500 BTC, down from 1935 last week -22%
NYAN.C is more or less stable.

As explained already, a lot of the assets NYAN holds have almost no market depth at all, and the spot prices can therefore easily be manipulated. Just buy a few shares and presto, price doubles, thereby "restoring" the NAV.

Im pretty sure thats exactly what she will do before releasing her financial results, just like she tried with CPA and her other companies, buying "undervalued" assets to push the price up, or push the snowball uphill.  IN the long run all that does is ensure it comes crashing down even harder. To use her own words : We just need "time", not "money", so to speak. Thats exactly right, she is buying herself time by digging a deeper hole.

How much has the NAV of those shares dropped off since OBSI.HRPT droped 60% ? Or is OBSI.HRPT held at a value of 0.1 btc despite what people are actually able to sell it for? The position of those funds is looking more and more precarious.
