1841  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 20, 2021, 10:07:37 AM
Ako lang ba or na-experience nyo rin to.

Personally, hindi ko pa ito naranasan pero it's because of the "travel rule ng FATF" at base sa mga reports nila [Additional Requirement from CoinsPh], bigla nalang mawawala [after a certain time] yun requirements na yan once na ifill up mo sya.
- Alam ko yung nilink ko na thread, tungkol yun sa pagpasok na pera pero halos pareho din ang requirements para sa pag labas na pera sa wallet mo.
1842  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Black Friday deals 2021 on: November 19, 2021, 04:40:43 PM
If you find any new Black Friday deals for hardware wallets please post them here.
Ellipal has a $60 off Black Friday deal for their "ELLIPAL Titan [$109]" hardware wallet (promo runs from Nov 18th - Nov 26th).
- Other Black Friday deals

It's worth noting that there's also "an ongoing 50% off deal for a Bitbox02 hardware wallet [three devices and no limits on the number of devices each person could get]".
- Not a Black Friday deal.
1843  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need help to receive payment from USA on: November 19, 2021, 01:34:40 PM
A friend of mine works as freelancer with a company from USA Georgia. My friend is a Tunisian citizen.
~Snipped~
I thought about bitcoin but unfortunetly, the company is ready to pay only with a bank transfer or PayPal.
There's a service that could help your friend but lately, it has received a lot of mixed reviews [most of them aren't good]: BitWage
Note: I'd recommend looking for a better alternative but as a last resort, it "might" still work [I prefer to not vouch].

From what i understood, my friend received several paiements and that it's not allowed to receive transfers from the same source frequently (number of transfers is set by year). My friend can rceive paiements from other sources but if he is willing to receive his salary he has to wait for next year. I hope you can get my point hre.
Are you sure it has something to do with the "number of transfers" and not about reaching a certain limit in regards to the "amounts" that are being transferred?
1844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Staples Center to be renamed Crypto.com Arena on Christmas Day!! on: November 19, 2021, 11:32:48 AM
as people who are not aware of crypto might be curious, and they would never think it's a scam since LA Lakers promoted them.
I wouldn't be so sure about that! Imagine what a newcomer investor would think after seeing drastic reductions in value, for some of their investments.

I saw the announcement earlier and it surprise me because of all the names, they focus on crypto as if it will gonna be the next big thing in the next decades to come and it will be since we see these companies adopting the crypto industry one after another.
They didn't focus on any name or brand, but rather on who's willing to pay the most amount [in the shortest time] for the naming rights of their arena.
1845  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-18] IRS sees crypto seizures totalling billions of dollars in 2022 on: November 19, 2021, 09:47:04 AM
The Internal Revenue Service could seize cryptocurrency valued at billions of dollars that’s linked to tax fraud and other crimes in the coming year, according to a key agency official.
Personally, I have no issue with their main objective but there's a big problem with the manner in which they'd be trying to achieve those results; they'd be unintentionally and inaccurately linking some of the transactions or users to certain crimes that they haven't committed [collateral damage]!
- Btw, I'm referring to some of the techniques they've mentioned previously, as opposed to what's in the above article.
1846  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Kryptomaya Review? on: November 19, 2021, 08:37:15 AM
check mo nalang or ask mo sa support nila kung regulated ba sila ng BSP, dahil kung regulated sila, legit yan sila.
Chineck ko yung listahan sa website ng BSP pero hindi ko nakita ang pangalan nila [assuming that I checked the correct list] at bagong gawa pa yung platform nila [4 months]:
- List of Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP) As of 30 September 2021

Domain Name: kryptomaya.com
Creation Date: 2021-07-21T11:47:11Z

worth 1,000Php.

so para sakin legit tong webiste na to.
Hindi magandang basehan kung legit ang isang website pag maliit na amount yung trinansact mo sa kanila!
1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto <--> Crypto Exchange Service on: November 18, 2021, 06:07:26 PM
Features:
No Accounts/Emails/KYC
My exchange doesn't ask KYC like other big exchanges.
It seems that you don't even know the terms you've set in your so-called automated service! Care to explain the "third part in the term of use" page?
- Despite not knowing the exact API that's being used in your platform [it's probably from ChangeNow/Changelly], those platforms could freeze transactions and also ask for various documents!
1848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Baseball Team Now Pays Players in Bitcoin on: November 17, 2021, 04:44:46 PM
The interesting point is they are using LN
Interesting how they still opted to use Lightning,
I think it's mainly [apart from what DdmrDdmr posted] because of their partnership with OpenNode and the fact that they want to protect themselves [not the players or staff] from possible fluctuations:

It'd be interesting to see how many of them would receive a portion of their salaries in BTCitcoin, especially since it's not yet part of their contracts:

Am I the only one who has read about the "Chief Bitcoin Officer" position for the first time?
1849  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallets supporting Taproot on: November 17, 2021, 03:02:18 PM
While I was scrolling through the link @RickDeckard provided, I noticed they've labeled "Bitcoin Knots as Starting with 22.0" but if I'm reading and understanding everything correctly, they've already released that version "9 days ago [having said those, I'm not sure if it's worth adding it since it's a fork of Bitcoin Core with some added features]". Apart from that, it seems that BitGo also supports it: Taproot Support for BitGo Wallets [credit goes to @RickDeckard]

To those who know about coding stuff:

  • Is there a "big difference [in terms of the effort that's needed for coding it]" between partially supporting it [e.g. Wallet of Satoshi] and full support like the ones on the list?
1850  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Apps Update Question on Nano Ledger S? on: November 17, 2021, 12:28:13 PM
Now I read that apparently many apps like bitcoin app now has increased in size?  Such that now... you could only have two apps installed at once?  Is that correct?
Depending on the size of the apps, you might be able to fit more than two!

Does this mean when I connect my nano ledger s to my laptop, I have to install the new bitcoin and bitcoin cash app version update?
~Snipped~
But as of now even if I don't update the apps, I could send and receive btc or btc cash with no issue right?
I don't own a ledger device, but AFAIK, it's not mandatory to update as long as you haven't skipped a lot of updates [I couldn't find the exact link, but I remember reading someone else's report about being restricted due to that reason].

  • Is it really that hard to connect your device and figure out that part by yourself?

Is there a way to know without connecting my nano ledger to my laptop of the next bitcoin app version update?
You've got to be kidding me!

So does this mean I need to first uninstall bitcoin gold first... before I update both bitcoin and bitcoin cash app?
If there's enough space, I don't think you need to uninstall any of the apps, prior to updating other apps.

I'm sorry to sound rude, but most of your threads are weird!
1851  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Qiomine.com Review on: November 17, 2021, 10:04:27 AM
We do this business for 5 years, this is the first one accuse we are scammer,
It's a bit strange to see only a few reviews for a business that's been running for the past 5 years and it's claiming to be "one of the largest online sellers for certain brands"! You might be telling the truth but I couldn't find a single proof that your business existed 5 years ago and the registration date of both domains goes back to "2018" only:

In addition to those:

  • Your website uses one of those annoying sales pop-up notifications that most likely are fake [e.g. here's one]!
  • I managed to find the full version of the "cropped image" that you have on your website, in a lot of other places [e.g. here and here]!
1852  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Problem with Blockchain.com on: November 16, 2021, 06:29:54 PM
but now as I am trying to recover my account it's giving no information about this.
~Snipped~
I have my Email
In addition to the above posts, you might want to go over the authorization emails that they've sent you before and look for the "wallet identifier [it's at the footer area of their emails]" and try using that one instead for logging in to their wallet.
1853  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: November 16, 2021, 04:18:40 PM
How many Fridays passed since the teaser is out?
Apparently not enough [perhaps they'd be releasing it next Friday (it'd be exactly one month since they've started "this poll" on Twitter)] Cheesy
- On a serious note, I'd prefer to see a polished video that's a few weeks behind schedule, as opposed to a bunch of videos that were rushed for the sake of uploading content on the channel ["quality over quantity"].
1854  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Farms & environment control on: November 16, 2021, 03:06:17 PM
What do people do, or what are some ideas on how to combat the heat and noise?
~Snipped~
Where is that middle ground? What are some ideas or suggestions for a smaller scale dedicated mining room, bunker, space?
IMO, you should go with a liquid immersion cooling setup... Depending on how the overall setup is, "other components" might produce more sound/noise than the mining rigs themselves.

Note: I prefer to not vouch for both of the above services!
1855  Economy / Gambling / Re: Multidice.io | The multi-currency dice game | 35+ cryptos on: November 16, 2021, 01:19:49 PM
Found it, thanks. But the help section doesn't contain the information about the min withdrawal limit and fees. It should be there as it isn't displayed in withdrawal menu.
You're very welcome and I do agree that it lacks a lot of information.

BTW, dormant account rules will be applied to a three years inactive account at this casino. It is better than few other casino where this rule applies to a 6 months or one year inactive account. I don't like this rule as well.
Who would be a fan of such terms  Cheesy It's really the bitter truth all the time. Most of the terms of casino are in favor of them to confiscate/scam the fund. I think multidice must change this rule and allow such deleted account to withdraw their fund unless there's something wrong with other abuse etc.
Regardless of its duration, it's still not fair to take what it's not theirs! It's perfectly fine to care about profits, but the manner in which they'd be achieving it, "isn't fine"!

Updated News From Multidice.
~Snipped~
Thanks for the update... I did a quick test and every time I bet for the first time [with a new cryptocurrency], I encountered a flashing white circle, as opposed to showing the result of the bet that I just placed [having said that, refreshing the page fixes that issue].
1856  Economy / Reputation / Re: WARNING! Blacklist for Gambling Sites 1xbit "SCAM" !!! on: November 16, 2021, 11:48:47 AM
I have collected various types of "scam" gambling evidence in the form of files
~Snipped~
if you have doubts or do not believe then I can generously provide this information to one of the trusted forum member representatives and can keep this files information.

Just one request from me, after opening the file
Most of us are paranoid when it comes to opening a file from a source that we're not sure we could trust or not, so instead of doing what you've said, you should probably consider going with platforms or websites that would allow us to see the information in question [without the need to download/open various files].

Every country has cyber security, so does the country I live in so don't be surprised if we act fast.
I guess you're just lucky because most of the cyber security divisions that I've seen so far [based on users reports], tend to ignore or do little to nothing.

And most likely you will be surprised because there are still "scam" gambling companies in this forum that you don't know other than 1xbit.
Feel free to report them on the "Scam Accusations" board.
1857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ecosystem’s weakness on: November 16, 2021, 10:58:24 AM
However, the regulators can always have the ability to ban cryptomining because it has become a business that needs regulator permits and licenses to begin operation or be approved to operate.
~Snipped~
Users should be given back the ability to mine in the privacy of their own homes where the government has no right to stop them.
Even if that becomes the law, realistically, they can't stop every single miner in those regions! The small-scale miners with access to renewable sources [e.g. solar panels] at home, will continue their operations and I wouldn't be surprised to see other home miners [with only a few mining rigs] underclocking what they already have [with schedules mining times] so it wouldn't be obvious that they're mining at home!
- In other words, that's not a weakness!

and those that will be sanctioned will use the currency that solves the problem of censorship. Once HODLed, and the value of the protocol is truly realized, the HODLer-state will protect it, help/add value to it.
By hodling it, they're not actually using it and I don't think it could have a positive impact on the issue in question.
1858  Economy / Gambling / Re: Multidice.io | The multi-currency dice game | 35+ cryptos on: November 15, 2021, 06:38:29 PM
are you sure you will not charge users for the withdrawal fee for all coins found on your website?
That part is a bit too good to be true [even if they were using micro-wallets and judging by some of the comments, I don't think they are].

Is it allowed to withdraw winnings without a deposit?
Yes:

Anyway, OP should create a FAQ page.
They already have one [look for the "Help" page instead (it's under the "support" section)].

All funds of deleted dormant accounts including their balance and any bankroll investments are forfeited by the user and assumed by the operator.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of seeing such terms in any platform [it's not fair (there should always be a way to retrieve those)]!
1859  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Cold wallet question on: November 15, 2021, 04:38:09 PM
Even if the device resets itself, you aren't losing your coins. I didn't understand that part of your post. If a transactions is initiated and signed, it will go to the mempool and either be included in a block and moved to the new destination address, or it goes back to the original address it was sent from after getting dropped from the mempool. How would you lose the coins if you can recover the original wallet?
I should've been clearer [sorry]... I meant to say "while" trying to transfer it [in other words, it never gets broadcasted], and my answer was for a specific situation that @krusepig was referring to [without the recovery phrases].
1860  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] MajesticBank - Swap Monero and Bitcoin - Crypto Bank on: November 15, 2021, 02:36:17 PM
Next feature is API and direct Monero/Bitcoin storage

Direct storage meaning coins will be storored/controlled on tor/web with Monero seed (from official wallet) / Bitcoin core .dat file

So you see your coins and control them at all times ( with web or your own wallet setup )

Wallets will be encrypted with your password so we can't access it or anyone else
Wallets for Bitcoin and Monero using direct storage technology ( your keys, your coins )
Why on earth someone would import their wallet.dat files [and the seeds for Monero] into the web while there's no need for such a thing?

Do I have to register account to use the Exchange services?
Not required but having account will provide you better exchange rate and control over your exchanges.
It's a bit strange that having an account leads to a better rate [it doesn't make sense], but do you mind explaining the latter part more?
