I need a guarantee on how to get a good and reliable person
Judging by the "board" you've posted this thread on, most escrow providers [including me] aren't handling such cases due to the fact that, we're not able to "realistically protect" both sides of the deal but having said that, here are the lists for escrow providers:

1742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xi, Putin wants Bitcoin without wanting Bitcoin on: December 17, 2021, 11:14:21 AM
@Wind_FURY
I remember reading about a somewhat similar story concerning Russia and Iran a couple of years back, so I'm assuming that one didn't succeed and now they're trying to build version 2.0 with China in the picture! Let's assume for a second that they'd be using their own CBDCs [or as you said, "Bitcoin without a Bitcoin"] to trade with each other, I don't think that'll end with a different result since, at some point, one of them would probably want more control [based on their true nature] over the other one [I don't think it's going to work in the long run].

  • However, Russia and Iran are working together to ditch the dollar to weaken the effects of U.S. sanctions.

The two are working to develop a new financial transfer system to replace the U.S.-controlled SWIFT. This system would circumvent third country sanctions, Russian presidential adviser for international affairs Yuri Ushakov told the media.

"In order to protect bilateral trade and economic ties from third country sanctions, measures are taken on the expansion of direct payments, the use of national currencies, the improvement interactions between the Russian financial transfers system and the Iranian Sepam, as an alternative for payments to SWIFT," said Ushakov.
1743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear is not Real. on: December 17, 2021, 08:33:50 AM
First thing to learn in BTCitcoin is Hodl it - Fear is not Real
That's wrong on so many levels! One of the first things newcomers should learn is how to properly keep those funds safe [imagine what you've accumulated over a certain period of time, suddenly goes down the drain (it happens more often than one might imagine)].
1744  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What did you buy with crypto? on: December 17, 2021, 07:26:17 AM
BTW. Looks like Russia has deleted it self from the world map of VPN's. Moscow and Skt. Petersburg is missing.
IIRC, that's been the case for a very long time on NordVPN but you can still find Russian servers in other VPNs that also accept BTCitcoin and other cryptocurrencies:
Note: I prefer to not vouch (DYOR)!

In regards to the question in the subject field, I usually purchase "gift cards [I can vouch for the first two on that list]".
1745  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 16, 2021, 07:54:31 PM

1746  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S Plus on: December 16, 2021, 07:02:15 PM
and how big the screen is compared older Nano S and Nano X.
~Snipped~
https://twitter.com/_pgauthier/status/1471137009272074245
The following things caught my attention:

  • Despite having a larger screen, looks like it's still not going to display the full address:
    • Nano X has "four" lines of text [screenshots: #1 and #2], but this one has only "three"!

  • The screen they've used looks cheap [the displayed text isn't that sharp]!
    - In other words, little to no improvement over the Nano S [apart from its size].

but we still don't know what the price will be for this new device.
Judging by its overall build quality, it has to be cheaper than what I initially thought it was going to be.
1747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 11 years without Satoshi on: December 15, 2021, 04:23:21 PM
I would like to thank him/her or them for giving people like me, an equal opportunity to be a part of this world when it comes to cross-border transactions [e.g. sanctions and etc...] and I'm sorry you have to witness how a significant portion of the community [newcomers included], tend to use this gem for wrong reasons!

Would having Satoshi around make that much of a difference?
It wouldn't make things better.
But it would create the opportunity to make things worse.
Are you referring to a possible crash or something else? If it's just the former, then would you still think the same if Satoshi wasn't going to move any of his/her coins?
1748  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-12-14] Guardian: Bitcoin could become ‘worthless’, Bank of England warns on: December 15, 2021, 12:53:53 PM
They do seem to enjoy publishing negative headlines fairly frequently.
As long as they succeed in grabbing our attention, nothing stops them from going down that road [SMH].

Although what they've written technically isn't inaccurate, it's not particularly likely either.  People should be cautious, but that goes for anything they do with their banks and other financial companies as well.
Despite seeing there's a lot of exaggerations by the subjects in question, they did have a point in regards to its monetary value but no matter how hard I try to look at the following part from their perspective, I can't understand how on earth they came to the following conclusion!

Seems a little desperate on their part.
And that only means one thing Cheesy
1749  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: December 15, 2021, 10:41:12 AM

    • Verification of winners will be done by Coins.ph through video call.
    • If a winning customer fails to get verified within 60 days upon receipt of the notification sent by Coins.ph, the prize shall be forfeited in favor of Coins.ph with approval from DTI-FTEB.
    • Prizes are non-transferable or convertible to cash.
1750  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Paymaya planning to add crypto? on: December 15, 2021, 09:19:20 AM
Sa tingin ko mas malaki ang disadvantage sa part natin kung gagawa tlga sila ng sarili nilang token, pero at the end of the day, they're just another company that are looking for a new way para makapag profit sila.

still good to hear na merong bagong platform na pakaaabangan natin in the near future.
Mukhang matatagalan pa bagong nila ilabas yung platform, dahil nabanggit nila sa bago nilang update na di muna sila kukuha ng VCE: [Exclusive] PayMaya to Offer Crypto Soon, Not Interested to Acquire VCEs Right Now

  • PayMaya confirmed exclusively to BitPinas that they have plans to put cryptocurrency in their app. The firm also revealed that they are currently not acquiring Virtual Currency Exchange (VCE) at the moment.

“Customers can already invest in crypto using PayMaya as their e-wallet. We have a tie-up with PDAX, including for Bonds.Ph online investment platform. PayMaya is helping democratize access to these services, even for those who do not yet have a bank account,”

“The challenge is how to develop the right solutions relevant to our customers. We are not putting services on the market just for the sake of claiming that we are offering them,”

@Daniel
When I was scrolling through one of the pages, the durability part that said "highly resistant to any fire" caught my attention, and I'm curious to know what's the fire class rating for these beautiful chips?

Suggestions for what make next are always welcome.
A customized version would be nice Wink

We are still trying to find a silver lining in all of this.
I hate to tell you this but don't get your hopes up, especially after how most of the registrars, governments, and some of the exchanges do little to nothing to prevent such things from happening.

Despite what I've said earlier, the following links "might" come in handy:

Note: AFAIK, most of them aren't providing their services to individuals, but they might come in handy + I prefer to not vouch for their services [DYOR].

In regards to the last part of that image, I looked for the archived versions and managed to find one from "2019"... It was actually about "animal husbandry", as opposed to mining stuff!
- Apart from the following quote, all of the videos on their "YouTube channel" are clearly fake [various cuts and censored parts]!

  • About us
    Animal Husbandry House
The information service platform of Home of Animal Husbandry is affiliated to Shenzhen Juyuan Animal Husbandry Trade Co., Ltd. The official website of the platform was established in April 2017. It is an animal husbandry e-commerce platform that relies on the Internet and mobile big data. In the early stage, it mainly provides poultry seedling transaction information, and integrates frozen products, veterinary drugs, feed, feed additives, breeding equipment, etc., as a comprehensive mall. Everyone provides the latest and most honest product information, and at the same time provides integrity guarantees for both parties to the transaction. Its head office, Shenzhen Juyuan Animal Husbandry Trade Co., Ltd., was established in July 2016 with a registered capital of 5 million yuan. It is a company that serves the field of agriculture and animal husbandry, and is engaged in the promotion, sales, logistics and transportation, and network technical services of agricultural and animal husbandry products. As an integrated enterprise.

1754  Other / Meta / Re: My Affiliate Business Sales Page Was Deleted. Why? on: December 14, 2021, 10:00:24 AM
I would really like a valid reason for my thread deletion
Apart from the primary reason that others have mentioned [referral links], there's also a secondary one:

  • I quickly went over the archived version of the thread in question and "none of them had anything to do with BTCitcoin!"

IIRC there are instances of exceptions of having referral/affiliate link on the OP, I guess that's related of freebitco.in, it was a quality thread and full of info regarding the topic and it wasn't deleted, it was held and even got questioned on meta for discussion. I'm still finding this thread.
Here you go [eventually, one of the mods deleted that thread]: Ref link not deleted for 5 days?
1755  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why I wouldn't buy Ledger Nano S ever again? on: December 14, 2021, 08:57:11 AM
he basically said that Ledger is just a shitcoin wallet that is probably going to evolve into phone Cheesy
Imagine having to deal with way more faulty features than we're already seeing after each of the updates, on their current line-up... No, thanks Cheesy

Maybe they are giving up on both the Nano S and X.
That's also bound to happen at some point for the Nano X, but I don't think they'll be doing it at the same time [e.g. fewer sales] + based on "this" post, it appears that in the near future, they might be releasing it with their "new logo".

in the same way the older smartphones no longer get any kind of updates. There are plenty of ways to do it.
I have limited knowledge when it comes to how they've handled the updates for the previous generations, but it'd be nice to at least see some security updates from time to time!
- I'm using a Samsung phone that stopped receiving software updates in the past year or two, but it's still receiving security updates regularly [depending on the device, I believe it's going to be for 4 to 5 years].

But they are selling a ton of devices. So, the question is WHAT are they doing that other manufacturers are not?
Perhaps, they've unlocked the secret to how easily manipulate potential buyers...
1756  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X Battery Pandemic on: December 14, 2021, 06:38:42 AM
Their support also replied just below the screenshot that you posted that all charges incurred for the replacement device will be refunded to the user by Ledger. If they refund all charges, that should include shipping and taxes as well.
To be fair, he again didn't directly answer my question regarding the tax and shipping charges. I can only assume that Ledger covers those as well, but I am missing the needed confirmation from James.
I think you have to pay those costs yourself initially. But if it's all covered by them, they should refund the user if you show them the proof of how much you paid.
Someone posted in their subreddit yesterday about "not receiving a refund" and despite not having enough details, perhaps it could be counted as a confirmation.

1757  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bloomberg: Gcash Considers Cryptocurrency Trading and Stocks Platform on: December 13, 2021, 07:17:28 PM
wala lang talaga cryptocurrency na involve for now pero magandang plano talaga ito.
Considering na napakatagal na nilang pinaplano ito, I expected a bit more...

Gumagamit kasi sila ng mga automated systems para mas efficient [unfortunately, from time to time that leads to collateral damage]!

Tama [unfortunately].
1758  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: December 13, 2021, 05:21:30 PM
We have been working since 2012. This means that we are a reliable platform.
But the same cannot be said for "all" of the sellers on your platform! Am I right?
- I'm not sure you'd be counted as a proper gift card provider, since "you're" not providing anything [other sellers/unofficial suppliers are doing it] while there's the following thing as well:

  • BuySellVouchers will not constitute as a party in your transaction with the seller and is not responsible for any damages and/or losses that may arise in case of default of either party.

Please refrain from changing [or inserting your domain name] the subject field when you're posting on someone else's thread!

Apart from what you've already said in your last post, it would've been better if you could've provided an in-depth explanation for those rounds, but from what I've read and understood so far, it does look like a fancier version of a cloud mining, combined with a Ponzi scheme + some twists [others might be able to give better examples]!
- I hope I'm wrong.
1760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even want all your BTC to be anonymous. on: December 13, 2021, 06:00:10 AM
does anyone worry that some of that might come back to bite them in the ass at some point in time when it comes to taxes
If I was someone who kept avoiding the taxes, then "yes [it's inevitable]".

So following that, so do you really want it all with no paper trail. Or even a difficult to follow trail, since if it is difficult to follow and you do have to prove it you might spend a lot in time and effort (read money) proving it.
Personally, I prefer to go with a route that doesn't lead to a big mess in the future!

but if I handed you cash and you sent it to me how do I really prove it.
Since only one part of the equation is dealing with cash, then the other side still has to make a transaction [assuming that you're not going to receive the private key from the other involved party] and that means you can still find a record of it with the help of certain explorers that also lists their value when each of those transactions was made.
