Patuloy padin pag-ulan ngayon dito
In other words, mas malaki yung gagastusin mo, kaysa dun sa makukuha mo at since umuulan pa dyan, wala rin sun masyado [not worth the trouble]!

If you're from this area, then mukhang tama ka [unfortunately]:

di pa namin alam yung sinasabing cash assistance kung kelan darating.

1702  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X Battery Pandemic on: December 29, 2021, 08:35:15 AM
Here is youtube video of first Ledger Nano X Bug, showing crazy fast jackpot number countdown:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53FiVDKKV_w
They should change their current tagline to something along the lines of "not just an ordinary wallet, protects your wealth while improving your speed and accuracy" Cheesy

Dude that looks fake. What is that? A Ledger turned upside down with the screen and text mirrored?
The Nano X is upside down. That black button is supposed to go on the left. The metal cover part goes on the right.
@Pmalek
I had the same feeling earlier, but after someone mentioned "you can change the orientation in the settings", I tried to find the correct orientation for the text, and the black button still appeared on the right side...

  • This is the result when I flipped it horizontally > Then rotated it 180°: Result [something is definitely off]

I want to inform you about Innosiliconminershop.com!
~Snipped~
https://innosiliconminershop.com/product/innosilicon-a11-pro-eth-2000mh/
You forgot to archive them, so I did it for you Wink

It's funny how after you've made your intentions clear about purchasing three of those, suddenly they also had three left in stock [as of this writing, it's "four"] Roll Eyes

  • While I was checking the "second screenshot", I noticed the price their staff mentioned [18k], is different than the one they've listed as the "normal price [12K]"!

A couple of notes:

1704  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinsData - 🚀Portfolio tracker, alerts, widgets, news, heatmap🔥 on: December 27, 2021, 04:24:21 PM
Could you please clarify which VPN server/country you use?
I had no issues with the VPN server [US] that I was using and in regards to my current location, unfortunately, I can't disclose it due to personal reasons [I'm currently residing in a country that belongs to the MENA region if that helps].

Thanks for suggesting an export portfolio - this task in development for now.
You're very welcome [I'm looking forward to that].
1705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 NFL Players Who Chose Crypto over Cash on: December 27, 2021, 03:10:43 PM
Some of the players who chose crypto over cash are:
It seems you've missed Russell Okung [they've mentioned his name in Barkley's description]... According to "this [#2]" article, he's a free agent but last year, he received $6.5M in BTCitcoin!

I know Sean Culkin converted his entire salary to bitcoin which is more than the rest.
Small note: It's only for "this year", but still a bold move.

Nice, they are buying through the Strike app.
Let's hope they're storing it in a proper wallet, as opposed to keeping it in there:

1706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UPDATE: Am I Doing My Students a Disservice? on: December 27, 2021, 11:58:17 AM
@titular
It's crazy how your sixth-grade students probably have more off-chain/lightning experience [regardless of using testnet] than someone like me, who has been in the community since it was introduced for the first time!
- Shame on me for not having enough experience [I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one], but I salute you for the effort you've put into this [don't change] Smiley
1707  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinsData - 🚀Portfolio tracker, alerts, widgets, news, heatmap🔥 on: December 27, 2021, 09:17:02 AM
A few notes:

  • As soon as I opened one of the links from its news section, it crashed and it kept crashing for roughly 30-seconds.
    - Having said that, I didn't experience those crashes, after I re-entered that section!
  • Without a VPN connection, the loading time was around 10 to 15 seconds [it probably has something to do with where I am and the location of the servers].
  • Creating a widget for the first time, leads to an error [no data was shown]... In order for it to work, I had to click on its settings and save it once more.

Apart from those, everything else worked flawlessly [this "shouldn't" be counted as a vouch]!

If somebody is already using our app - please write your requests.
It'd be nice if there was a way for your users, to export their portfolios in CSV format.
1708  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bitcointalk youtube channel on: December 27, 2021, 07:19:27 AM
May point ka, pero that might lead to either more spam from newcomers or panibagong victims galing sa altcoin campaigns [in other words, baka magbigay ito ng maling impression tungkol sa forum na ito]!

Has anyone crack the puzzle using the OpenStego?

Probably just the private video link [at the time].

All services, at the time of creating the topic, are checked and working.
Great list [as usual], but there's something wrong with "ifyoubought":

  • It appears to have outdated data, from an unspecified date in 2021 [if you try to change the year to previous years, it'll lead to an error]: Video link
Note: I only showed the result for three of the cryptocurrencies, but I did test a few more at random and all of them had similar results!
1710  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BEWARE, TellorCrypto.com - SCAM | [newbie please read this] on: December 26, 2021, 03:14:12 PM
I wasnt able to find any negative information of cryptoruna.
None of us would've been able to find a review on them, since they've created it earlier in the month:
- Having said that, you should've checked for duplicate/plagiarized content instead [you would've got a different result and I'm going to list them]...

What can I do???
Apart from reporting them to their registrar [NameCheap], you can try contacting the following services, but don't get your hopes up:

Here is the list of other fake platforms that use the same template/content [partially or completely]:

1711  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ang crypto after ng isang super typhoon. on: December 26, 2021, 12:08:24 PM
Actually, may magagawa ang crypto o yung blockchain rito especially kung ang pag-uusapan ay yung mga donations in digital financial terms na galing sa iba't ibang mga tao or organisasyon.
This!

  • e.g.
Kahit na may mga short spikes sa "graph na ito", BTCitcoin fees have been quite low in the past month or so.
1712  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why I wouldn't buy Ledger Nano S ever again? on: December 26, 2021, 09:22:43 AM
After the display broke, I have no longer used a HW wallet.
Did you drop it or you're still referring to the third point in OP?

The software should be open source and the memory should be enough to manage at least 10 coins. Is Ledger Nano X a good option?
Since the firmware that's being used in it isn't open-source, it doesn't tick all the boxes... As a Trezor user, I'm quite happy with mine, but it doesn't come with a "secure element".
- Open Source Hardware Wallets
1713  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: December 26, 2021, 07:38:38 AM
Here's the link guys and girls, made sure the video is now public as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK4VqHEf8CE
It was so good that I wanted it to be at least a 30-minute video [hopefully, it quickly moves out of the experimental stage/phase and it becomes a regular thing] Smiley

I'm either going to get fired or get another episode aired by New Year's Eve!  Roll Eyes
I hope it's the latter one... If I may ask, who's controlling this account?
- Only answer if it's not going to lead to the former one Cheesy
1714  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Bitcoin mining machines on: December 25, 2021, 01:50:14 PM
hi bro ,
~Snipped~
We will be happy to give you the lowest quotation after receiving your detailed requirements.
I've never seen clearer red flags than these!
Note to potential buyers: Refrain from doing business with such users.

Our company is a first-class mining machine sales company in China.
Our company is based in Shenzhen, China
Yeah, right! Care to explain why there are a lot of "Russian texts" in your other thread? Roll Eyes

With 8 years of industry experience, it sells hundreds of thousands of mining machines every year,
And yet, for some reason, you chose to ignore @ncsupanda's concerns, as opposed to providing valid proof!
Sana hinde muna sila magimplement ng tax sa crypto income naten so investors can still enjoy their own profit,

1716  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Send SMS all around the world with lightning! on: December 25, 2021, 08:16:59 AM
Checked a couple of countries, and the price was about 150 sats, not bad!
But that's not always the case:
  • A single SMS to an Indonesian number costs "420 sats [I only checked a few at random]".

Personally I never send SMS anymore after many people start using Facebook, WhatsApp and Telegram, literally you don't need to pay anything to send a bunch chat...
You have a point, but there are still a lot of tech-illiterate people out there that happen to be using either a very old phone or none of those apps [previously mentioned by @dkbit98]!

a Few notes:

  • There's a limit if you use the Arabic alphabet [that's probably also the case with the Hebrew alphabet and similar stuff]:
    • When I tried to send an Arabic sentence to a number from Afghanistan, I got "this error" but there was no issue with sending the same sentence to a number from "Albania".

  • Sometimes it has problems with "determining the price [tested with a few countries]"!
1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A supermarket in Mexico now allows Bitcoin payments for all their items on: December 24, 2021, 05:59:38 PM
as they offer a 20% discount when paying with it (until end of the year).
Based on what I've read [including your succeeding posts], once that promo ends, I don't think they'd be experiencing a significant number of BTCitcoin transactions in their chain stores!

Howver, my concern is what might actually discourage people is the transaction fees in doing these payments.
Judging by your history, I have to mention there's a big difference between Ethereum fees and BTCitcoin fees: "See for yourself"

-   If you give back a product, refund will be in fiat (pesos)
Cheeky little bastards!

but is this some sort of partnership with Bitpay and the supermarket?
I couldn't find an official statement, but on some websites, they've listed it's the result of a partnership:

e.g.

Am I the only one to think the following:
Since BitPay requires a KYC verification, who's interested to send the personal documents to verify the ID? And to do this, just to pay a retail store? Only a few. On top of that, not everything can be paid with BTC?
You're not alone... It doesn't make much sense!

It is an initiative, maybe it will develop more in the future and KYC requirements should be terminated for small purchases.
IIRC, back in the day, there was no KYC process for small orders, but sometime in the past few years, they decided it was needed [in other words, I don't think that situation is going to improve]!
1718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk once again throwing shade at bitcoin on: December 24, 2021, 11:18:55 AM
Think you know Elon? Maybe not as much as you think .. https://youtu.be/c-FGwDDc-s8
I only knew around 1/4th of its content and that further confirms EM is nothing but just a clown [e.g. another one of his masterpieces]!
- Considering how he usually acts as a whole, I don't think we're dealing with what's on the subject field [he's just another attention-seeking whore]!

He even clarifies that the doge he has was all mined. He has not spent a single dollar on dogecoin.
Technically, he still has to spend a certain amount to acquire mining rigs.

It is also interesting to note the diminishing effects of Elon Musk and his tweets in the cryptocurrency market as a whole.
The best thing that came out from those non-stop nonsensical tweets.
1719  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Youtube channel - what would you like to see? on: December 24, 2021, 07:49:42 AM
The suspense is killing me Cheesy... If that's part of an original/custom-made tunnel motion intro, then I'm already impressed with the effort that was put into this video!
1720  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: December 24, 2021, 06:17:02 AM
The FAQ states you "cannot withdraw small chips" but I can find nowhere that defines what a "small chip" is. What is the minimum withdraw size?
It's actually listed at the very top of the exact same page [under the "How does deposit work?" part] and it's 0.001BTC:

  • Minimum deposit is 0.001 BTC - lowest chip size. If you deposit less then you have to deposit missing amount to receive a chip.
Second minimum deposit is 0.002 BTC. If you deposit between 0.001 and 0.002 BTC you will receive only 1 mBTC chip and rest will be autodonated.

  • Update:
I forgot that's also listed on the latter part of that page:

    • What will happen if I send less than lowest chip?
Since we don't have chips lower than 0.001 BTC, your deposit will be treated as donation.
