1861  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 15, 2021, 12:57:54 PM

You might want to double-check to see if "any of these things" might be the problem at mas maganda siguro na mag send ka ng ticket sa kanila para malaman mo yung reason [baka yung coins.ph ang may problema]:
- Sa pagkakaalam ko, usually inonotify ka nila through email or app kung anu yung dahilan if nareject yung submission mo pero ngayon ko lang nakita na may "needs refresh" notice.

  • Submit a request > Issue details > ID and Selfie verification > I have waited more than 3 business days for my ID verification.
    - Pwede rin magpadala ng ticket "within the app".
1862  Economy / Reputation / Re: WARNING! Blacklist for Gambling Sites 1xbit "SCAM" !!! on: November 15, 2021, 10:38:34 AM
I wonder why people still use the 1xbit gambling site which is clearly a scam? do most of them come from outside?
That usually happens when well-known platforms start to list them as one of their partners:

e.g.
  • Blockchair - A universal explorer that receives a lot of traffic.
  • Mycelium - A Bitcoin wallet (refer to their crypto betting tab).

In this forum, I need support from the bitcointalk community, for example other evidence that I don't know "I really need this one day"
To help you with that, we need to know first what exactly you already know about them!

I made various efforts from several Authorities, government support and State "Cyber security" Parties to block all "fraudulent" gambling advertising sites including 1xbit from appearing in the Country where I live.
Did it work?
1863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: PUT BITPANDA OR BITCOIN PAPER on: November 14, 2021, 05:47:28 PM
I have bought in shop two Bitpanda paper bonus (with codes and QR) and one Bitcoin Bonus (also with code and QR) in paper. Is it possible to redeem them by putting directly the value on my Binance wallet in Bitcoins ?
I'm not a Bitpanda user but I did some digging and I believe you're referring to the "Bitpanda To Go Vouchers" that you can buy from post offices in Austria.

"Here's an old review" without the QR code.
Note: it comes with expiration dates.
1864  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-12] Ken Griffin says Bitcoin will be replaced by Ethereum-based currenc on: November 14, 2021, 01:00:00 PM
He added that Ethereum-based cryptocurrencies have “the benefits of higher transaction speeds [and] lower cost per transaction.”
The latter one isn't accurate! AFAIK, the Ethereum network has ridiculous fees at the moment and that's been the case for the past few months!

Ethereum is only slightly faster than Bitcoin at present but will significantly scale up transaction speeds and lower costs when Ethereum 2.0 is fully implemented.
Lightning network is already doing those things!

“Bitcoin is incredibly expensive to manage payments on,” he said. It currently costs approximately $4.1 per Bitcoin transaction.
There's a big difference between the average TX fees and the actual TX fee. The former is "mostly" derived from exchanges or those who use unnecessarily high fees due to the limitations of the wallets or services that they're using:

1865  Other / Meta / Re: Application For Merit Source [Philippines Local Board] on: November 14, 2021, 09:43:33 AM
Man, I can hardly believe that it is difficult for you to find ten worthy messages, not only on the local board,
~Snipped~
So I hope you will overcome your laziness and still decide to take this step.  Wink
Finding ten merit-worthy posts isn't an issue for the general boards, but I prefer to become a merit source for our local board and that's where things get tricky [not enough activity in the past few months]!
- I can't recall when was the last time theymos approved an application concerning posts that were in general boards.

especially since about a year ago I already asked you about this (and offered to apply).
Yes, I do remember that [time flies] Smiley
1866  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying Bitcoin w/procedure - SEPA/Bank Transfer on: November 13, 2021, 06:39:13 PM
Since the second step [video call] is to see if the seller can spend the coins they've shown on the first step, all you really need is a "signed message" from the address that has those coins and after that, you just have to "verify" the message.
1867  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Onecash.ai Ponzi Project on: November 13, 2021, 05:41:04 PM
Seeing that their registrar is NameCheap and they have a habit of ignoring most of the reports [unless it's crystal clear], then the following information might come in handy:

  • In addition to what you've already posted, "Onecash.ai" is a rip-off! The original website is "Stash.com [archived]".
Note: I'm not vouching for them, but they've been in operation for a very long time!
1868  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Cold wallet question on: November 13, 2021, 03:41:40 PM
Lose seed words- you can still transfer your coins to a different wallet with new seed words right?
Since you mentioned in the other thread that you've already ordered the buggiest hardware wallet [AKA Ledger Nano X] at the moment, then there's always a possibility that when you try to transfer your coins to a different address, you might encounter a bug and that might lead to your device resetting itself automatically [in other words, you'd be losing everything]:

  • Did your device reset automatically?
If your device displays Welcome to Ledger Nano X, it has been reset. Your device can reset to factory settings automatically after updating the device firmware or encountering a bug.

Don't worry, your crypto assets are safe as long as you have your 24-word recovery phrase. Please follow the instructions to restore your private keys from your recovery phrase.

How do people get in trouble with self cold storage?
In addition to the above comments, you can find a few more from the following thread: Attack vectors for Hardware Wallets
1869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 13, 2021, 10:54:17 AM
I ordered a ledger nano X
and I look forward to experimenting with the ledger nano X.
You should've done more research, prior to purchasing a hardware wallet from a questionable company: Ledger Nano X Battery Pandemic

In addition if there is a security breach, it seems like there would be a better chance of you coming out whole if your funds were on an exchange.
Looks can be deceiving [unfortunately]!

Perhaps in the future when crypto is more mainstream, crypto assets will be insured and backed by the banks and that will make cold wallets obsolete, or maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about.
That would never happen! You might want to refer to some of the risks other users described earlier [e.g. freeze and etc...] + most users, prefer to be a "crypto owner", as opposed to being just a "crypto user" [the former requires you to have "full control" over your funds]!

Sorry guys for publishing this post lately.
Have you notified Bitcoin Magazine in regards to that incident [I can't check to see if those posts still exist]?

Due to covid19 me & my entire family members were passing complex time for last few month. This is why I wasn't active too much on forum and specially on this section.
I'm sorry to hear that Sad
1871  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why I wouldn't buy Ledger Nano S ever again? on: November 12, 2021, 06:58:06 PM
Memory for Ledger Nano S is very small with around 144kb, but even bigger problem is that size of apps for coins is growing all the time and memory stays the same.
It seems that their latest firmware has also increased in size. I read a bunch of old reports on Reddit that they had 156 to 160 kb of free storage for the apps.

Nano S is made from cheap plastic that gets broken easily if you hold it stronger when removing USB cable.
In addition to that, there's one user who's saying he/she got a crack when it wasn't in use:

  • Since then, I have plugged it into my pc maybe 5 times, and I am an extremely careful person. Today I saw that a crack has developed in its plastic case. I don't know how this is even possible (last time I used it it was ok), but it seems to me the crack has appeared in a stress concentration location (from inner corner to outer corner), and ledger's materials have never been its strongest point (just take a look at the cheap usb cable).

Ledger has one of the worst support I ever saw, that is very slow and they probably have small stuff so there is really no fix for this, except if they hire more people.
They're also a bunch of liars [e.g. here's one case] who love to give false hopes.

considering all I mentioned above I don't think it's worth the money.
I totally agree [it's a shame, they could've easily fixed the first half of issues from your list, but for some reason, they've done nothing so far].

When I get back home tonight, all other ranks can start submitting their guesses after I update the thread.
Not sure how I missed the update Sad Was there any or I should always keep an eye on the second post of the thread?

1873  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-12] Miami will hand out free Bitcoin to residents from profits on city on: November 12, 2021, 12:31:27 PM
Every Miami resident with a digital wallet will be eligible to receive a Bitcoin dividend according to Mayor Francis Suarez.
Based on what he said in "this interview", not everyone that has a Miami address is going to be eligible... The 10% BTCitcoin yield will go to those who are already paying taxes and are registered Miami voters!

“We’re going to be the very first city in America to give Bitcoin yield as a dividend directly to its residents,” Suarez said in an interview on Nov. 11.
I'm still not a big fan of these so-called CityCoins [e.g. MiamiCoin], but I like what he's trying to achieve.
1874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM stolen in bitcoin srore in Barcelona (Spain) on: November 12, 2021, 10:53:30 AM
Last night, around 7 or 8 hooded individuals broke in to a bitcoin store, and stole the bitcoin ATM that resided within, loading it into one of the two large vehicles they made their getaway with.
Looks like it's time for BTM manufacturers to redesign their BTMs, so it'd be harder for burglars to steal it [not sure if there's a way]!

Chapeau for those that risked there neck to film the events.
I'm surprised that they allowed those two to film the whole incident [apart from the smoke] without harming them.
- You can clearly see the license plates Shocked

Btw, does anybody have an update on the liquor store thieves?
1875  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Bitcoin Wallet about to Launch. on: November 12, 2021, 08:24:33 AM
We will also be offering amazing interest rates on your bitcoin that you HODL and lending features.
How will you be able to pay 10% interest to your users and how can Noah approve loan requests instantly [the whole process]?

enjoy lifetime benefits.
Would you mind naming them?

Quote from: https://noah.com/
Send money anywhere in the world, by simply synchronizing your existing contacts and we will take care of the rest.
I don't think most users would like that part, but does it mean you'll be sending certain codes to those that aren't using your wallet, so they could redeem it in Noah?
1876  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Resources]Maaring pag gamitan ng Bitcoin on: November 11, 2021, 06:07:33 PM

Note: I prefer to not vouch for them.

1877  Economy / Services / Re: I offer my finical advisor services for money on: November 11, 2021, 08:25:56 AM
Lately i start to research cryptocurrency and become good on it
I've been doing that for a very long time but I wouldn't dare to label myself as a financial advisor!

You can see last thread of my prediction that solona will be before theter and cardano in 1 week and it happened:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5368113.0
You're wrong, it didn't happen in a week! You created that thread on "Oct 29" and judging by the comments prior to the creation of this thread, it took more than a week + anyone could've predicted that Roll Eyes

2 prediction: $170

3 predictions: $150
Wait, what?! The latter it's cheaper Cheesy

I may close  this thread soon!
Please do so.
1878  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Platform just for crypto videos.. like youtube or OTT's on: November 10, 2021, 03:11:16 PM
because when we search on youtube , many videos show which are either not relevant,
Perhaps you're not searching with the right terms.

or have a flashy thumbnail with some crap information , or something which all are almost repetitive ...
What makes you think none of these would've existed if we had a dedicated platform for crypto-related videos?

moreover its generally country specific , so a person in uk might not see videos made in singapore even if its in english ...isnt it ...
I altered the location of my YouTube account [a few times] but still got pretty much the same results every single time.
- The easiest way to check is to search for gadget/tech reviews [usually, there's an Indian reviewer who does the reviews in English + I'm not from India].

Judging by the type of platforms that you've promoted previously, am I correct in assuming that you'll be unveiling a new platform for such a thing?
1879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 10, 2021, 12:12:12 PM
Source : The Verge
For some reason, it redirects to a page with their logo [instead of the article]... You might want to replace it with "this" one instead.

He mentioned it as part of his diversified portfolio. His investment was from his personal point, and Apple doesn't have any plans of investing/accepting cryptocurrency.
I would've been more surprised to see him [or any other billionaire] not having BTCitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as part of their "diversified portfolio" and I think the following part might have a bigger impact than what he said in the above quote:
- I'm having mixed feelings about it but hopefully, introducing another centralized coin isn't part of their plans!

1880  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam] Trezor Wallet Manager App Fake on: November 10, 2021, 09:14:41 AM
Look who's back under a new name and account: Portable App Manager [archived]

  • The same logo and pictures.
  • Pretty much the same content.
  • A lot of fake reviews [6 out of 9].
  • Almost the same number of downloads [100+].
