2241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices are destroyed, everyone is disappointed on: January 17, 2019, 02:49:53 PM
I am very disappointed to see the price of bitcoin destroyed in recent days, I have lost a lot when I bought bitcoin at a high price, until when this bitcoin price dropped.
At what price did you bought your coins? There are immense reasons behind the price drop of bitcoins but none of them is reliable. Bear markets will end soon bringing bull run. HODL and you will see some good profit for the number of coins you will own. Instead of selling at a comparatively lower price, why don't you just afford holding them? If it becomes partly riskier for you, than try to set a stop loss which can be affordable and buyback some coins once the price drops below your stop loss.
Also i guess, bitcoins might soon see a amazing price as the markets are slowly turning green which is a good sign of growth.

Don't get your hopes too high. The price may stick to $3-$4k for quite a long time maybe more than a year. Remember that it took a year long of bear so its going to be a bad years ahead if you expect $20k. Its going to be difficult to convince an investor to put money on bitcoin if they see the charts.
2242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will STO's Work? on: January 17, 2019, 01:36:49 PM
What do you guys think? Will STO's be able to compete in the crypto market and actually succeed? I'm glad to see ICO's die out. They were consuming too much market cap +90% of the projects were garbage. I made a list of 100 ICO's I seen promoted back in April and only a select few of them are doing well. Nauticus launched (https://nauticus.exchange/) which is great news for the exchange community, but unfortunately today Cryptopia suffered a hack. We seem to take one step forward, followed by one step back...What do you guys think?

That depends on how good the project is. If the project listing as a STO is "quality", then I think it will prove to be an effective venture.

I agree with this, but there were a few ICO's that made it big. Binance used to be a tiny exchange with nearly no volume and look at them now. Nauticus was just in there ICO phase and they raised over 19 million dollars. Both of these feats were impressive considering how hard it is to make it in crypto.

$19M is huge enough, there were projects this year that never got a 5 million but continue to develop their project. If funds are used wisely to develop the project, the exchange will be used by people.

I think that even STO will not be as promising as it might seem to us, because everywhere there are disadvantages!

It will still depend on the project, SEC would decide for which is worth pursuing and which is not. If investors are going to be protected by this SEC, we can be assure projects are going to get funds.

2243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Regulators Denies Considering Approving a Bitcoin ETF on: January 17, 2019, 10:20:44 AM
Well, that's good news! There's no reason for being sad about it! These ETFs wouldn't have done any good to the market, instead it would have increased the speculation only without even investing in actual asset. Majority of the ETFs waiting at SEC's door, are synthetic ETFs where actual physical assets will not be traded in the market. So there's no need to be excited either!

I believe only Winklevoss one was the physical ETF proposed to SEC initially. Rest all 8 ETFs were synthetic. So it is better not to see them approved. Initially we thought Japan is the most crypto friendly country when they decided to regulate cryptos, but later when they start to charge exorbitant taxes upto 55%, the eyewash became prominent! So if Japan is not considering any ETF approval, it's good! Lets not outsiders speculate our ball game!

But would you be hoping the approval of Winklevoss proposal to be approved?

Its really frustrating that people are waiting for it taking out their investment because they have to wait what effect if could do so if any of the proposal is approved then I think the speculations will end and we can go on.
2244  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptopia Cryptocurrency Platform Services and Development on: January 16, 2019, 05:16:52 PM
Looks like a movie scene where a hacker cleverly took some funds by typing on the commandline  Cheesy

Apparently some of the missing crypto made it's way to Binance and they were able to freeze part of it, according to CZ's tweet.

When asked what will they do with the frozen assets, CZ's answer was interesting:

Well its there already. It goes to what they say that there is nothing safe  when its put online.  CZ said they'd freeze the account if they can track the rest of the tokens, I wonder if they can track if its mixed already and sent to binance.
2245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: some questions about sto (security token offering) on: January 16, 2019, 03:35:48 PM

I see no difference to it STO and ICO seem the same. There were projects that can easily bought right now you don't even realize its a security token. The latest that I have acquired was the Bitfence (HNY) doesn't have a good value for now but the project is listed on SEC and is a security token. I wonder how this isn't having much demand.
2246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best altcoin to buy? on: January 16, 2019, 03:20:30 PM

No coins are good enough to be bought up to this time. Crypto continues to fall and do not give the results expectations. This even makes many coins there are not interesting enough to be purchased because the result bus alone will fall deeper. even many who prefer to endure and not take the risk to buy.

There are coins turning green while the rest are red such as TRX.
If I have the money I would have bought a lot of TRX these days, its $0.05 each so having about a million of it would secure your way to financial freedom when the market bounce. TRX has interesting projects its not going to compete ETH directly but its picking its momentum.
2247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cryptopia Hacked. Will BTC Crash? on: January 15, 2019, 03:28:55 PM

I've read this an hour ago but they were not telling about hacked, they were just having a maintenance. But that explains why its not more than 48 hours, I'm not sure if its true but 48 hours is definitely long.

I don't think there will be an effect in the price of Bitcoin because of this crash. Cryptopia's trading volume is not that big enough to cause panic. May if the site that was hack is among the top 5 exchange sites, maybe there will be an effect. Just look at coinmarketcap, Cryptopia is not even in the top 10 based on volume.

They are not that big but its still a good exchange knowing they are airdropping coins to old accounts.
2248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your advice is needed on: January 15, 2019, 03:08:49 PM
I want to dedicate my life to cryptocurrency from now till five years time and see what I can learn and make from it in all way ,is it a good path to follow? Is it wise to leave my crap job behind and be fully into cryptocurrency? Anyone on here that already did the same? How is the experience??

You already had decided by calling your current job a crap job and I guess you will soon leave it behind. I think its fair to say that you might not land a good job in crypto other than being a bounty hunter as well.  If you are good at writing articles, that can be a great skill to monetize in this field.
2249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: January 15, 2019, 02:05:08 PM

One good reason for someone to continue is if they are winning most of their bets and if you still have more of the winning you got from the previous bets you will still continue to bet. The thrill must have been addicting, I have that addiction but will always control because I know money don't come easy to my wallet.
2250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES - Complete Blockchain ecosystem for a token economy on: January 15, 2019, 10:13:07 AM
When this Vostok token airdrop? I bought waves at high price because of this airdrop (as many other people I think) and now any news rgarding this airdrop? What happened?
And which exchanges will be supporting this swap? Or better to keep Wawes at their native wallet?

Hello gembira. There's no exact date. We only know that the announcement of the snapshot date is scheduled for this week. According to the rules of the upcoming airdrop, your coins can be kept within your Waves account only.

Sincerely, Waves Community Manager

You are not the only who's waiting for it. But I think they may not announce a date about this until they find the opportunity to gain from the announcement and snapshot date. So you guys just keep holding your waves because once you dump them, the very next day will be something of a bad news for you  Cool . you'd see the price gone $5 and you have to buy just to have some airdrop.
2251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income from cryptocurrencies in 2019 on: January 14, 2019, 03:02:18 PM

Yes. Passive income is attractive since we all want a constant flow of money to our wallets which by the way I prefer to join the projects who does offer such.  Its just that team sometimes doesn't do what they promised. There was a project called ETHbits who did offer quarterly dividends, they give for about two quarters but next after that there was nothing. With TAAS, they still give as far as I know but it just didn't work well for them. Last time I got was less than $100 worth of eth. D
2252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who dump coins early; Bounty hunters or ICO investors? on: January 14, 2019, 02:47:12 PM

Its true. Investors gets more than 25% bonus when they buy on presale and they know exactly if the bounties are distributed the bounty hunters are also going to make the market dip which very logical to jsut dump what they profit from the presale and may double their profit right after bounties are dumped too. But this is just something that is happening today because the entire market really is also bleeding since the first months of last year.
2253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges has no effects anymore on: January 14, 2019, 02:13:40 PM
I think the main reason for this is because there no excitement in the industry ago and an average investor does not see any reason why he should put money into any of them. I think the entire industry need to be overhaul before there can be any excitment again

Nothing has changed. Its just that we strive for adoption to which investors allow government to control their fears by these KYC, SEC regulations and ETF. Without these issues today, there may never have this fear. We tend to seek protection from scam so we look for ICO regulations and so forth. But maybe after all these are resolved, excitement will all come back and those old trusted coins will bounce up quickly.
2254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto backed assets on: January 14, 2019, 02:05:25 PM
Anybody know of any crypto-currency backed by actual assets?

I only know of one crypto-currency backed by assets.

Problem with that is that you never know. There is lots coins gold backed. Stable coins are fiat backed. But do they have any Gold really. Do they have fiat stored somewhere?  You dont know. So is really stupid idea to buy such coin. Buy USD or Gold not token baked by them.

Xaurum posted photos of their gold bars inside the bank vault somewhere on their thread, I clearly remember this because I was part of their bounty campaign. I think the previous project was Aurum, I don't know how it works but its also backed by gold.

2256  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WAVEsX UPCOMING FORK OF WAVE IT IS A SCAM? on: January 12, 2019, 03:13:03 PM
Almost a hundred % scam. There were users asking the team why they stay Anon. Compare to the original WAVES, sasha is open to all. We all know he travels back and forth everywhere he may be using the funds or not but at least we know the project is doing well.  WE don't have any idea of this WAVESX
2257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: January 11, 2019, 10:19:28 AM
EOS is gathering steam! They are promising heaven on earth, telling us how they are going to solve all these problem we are facing e.g scalling issue, better smart contract and fast proccesing speed! But they've not told us is; how are they going to achieve all these wonderful promises! I am tempted to say time will tell but i need something more than that. I need to see the plan. Good partnership with bitshare, but we need more

Isn't the list of Dapps created on EOS a proof already? Its going to compete ETH just as how its been planned. Price of course is going to be different my you'll see where it goes from here. Since were all going to the adoption, prices of all crypto will rise up eventually but there are just more reason to hold EOS.
2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: January 11, 2019, 09:18:37 AM
EOS put up almost in second place in the ranking of the best projects, but I do not see such great prospects as the rest. Mainly when they carried out ICOs, they lied to all people by reinvesting their ethers into each pool, in fact, much less was collected.

Although many investors have invested huge money in this asset and continue to invest, so the project can speculatively start to develop very strongly.
in the last 24 hours bearish move eos hit hard with panic sell and its price is again below from 2.5%
if this continues then the price could go under 2$ again.
last time eos price touched 1.59$ as coinmarketcap eos chart showing.
i hope this time eos price will not touch its bottom again but if price goes down continuously then price may go down from 1.5$

It should touch such price again to let us new holders buy for the 2nd chance. Its one way for EOS to get more holders on board. Let the ones who just want to collect airdrops from the new projects get into EOS too. I bought some when it touches $8 lol  Now that its much cheaper, its got to be a good investment.
2259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EOSex: The hybrid Exchange for EOS Community - ICO successfully Completed! on: January 10, 2019, 09:33:16 AM

The EXP token will soon be live, most provably before this month end, no other exchange will add it the first of course but the EOSEX. Listing it on other exchange will follow later.  906,245,118 EOS currently in circulation https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/eos/

As I know people want not launch ICO on EOS blockchain nowdays, or may be this is because bear market?

True. There will be more in the coming days and sure they'd be added on EOSEX.

I don't see any reason for any other exchange to list them. I mean how many other exchange tokens has been listed to other then their native sites and would that impact the volume anyway?

Its possible that it can be added on other exchange but of course very little chance unlike WAVESplatform which also a DEX were added on most exchange today. What would drive the volume is the list of tokens on it, EOSEX has a good list of tokens already but maybe adding more known coins on top of the marketcap is going to make it bigger.

2260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coins with potential to x100? on: January 10, 2019, 08:08:04 AM
To make 100x profit is possible only in bull market just like in 2017, in this year alot of coins was give 100x profit just like NANO, ECA, XLM. In my opinion XRP and TRX has potential to going up to 100 x in 2-3 year later because has strong fundamental.

Tron is starting to make a buzz lately, they were with Vena.Network and these guys are building up some app for the projects. I have no idea about the terms being used there as its the first time I heard of it in their channel like TRC20. Very interesting that they were cheering up TRON and Vena. It must be worth investing.
