2101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WERE YOUR STOLEN BITCOINS EVER RETURNED???? on: May 14, 2019, 04:40:35 PM

I was once scammed, I plead to return my coins but he threatened me because he knew my name and address. They are from other country but yes, somehow they manage to threatened that they will visit my place because they have fellows livingin our area. That's the kind of people you are dealing with, this is why I'm not entertaining any PMs unless I initiate it myself.
2102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP rises quickly! on: May 14, 2019, 04:30:16 PM
Probably this one https://cointelegraph.com/news/xrp-tops-cryptocurrency-price-gains-after-coinbase-and-etn-rollout

Quote
United States cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase confirmed it had rolled out XRP trading to New York users in a social media update on May 13.

Cointele somehow post articles that sometimes does affect price Smiley
Don't chase your trade yet, the price may drop eventually so do wait after all XRP behaves that way. I didn't expect it to pump that fast, it would have been a quick profit too.
2103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make a secure Cryptocurrency for next generation on: May 13, 2019, 05:00:11 PM

A team from the forum  to act like an escrow for the project could be a good idea, it had been that way before where a trusted fellow will escrow the funds but I don't think a team will really take responsibility for it. I'm fairly sure Bitcointalk wouldn't be doing it, some regulatory body handles these already which is why IEO is handled by exchanges.
2104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Upcoming potential ICOs/IEOs on: May 13, 2019, 04:27:28 PM

I haven't heard of a venue where they list some incoming IEO but there are launchpads that were created for its purpose. I guess the platforms that will announce all these today are the exchanges. Binance and Bittrex has their own so if you have to look for new projects doing IEO, you should subscribe to their social media channel for its where they'd announce incoming IEO.
2105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is encrypted messaging important? Value your privacy! on: May 13, 2019, 02:18:41 PM
Well to avoid phone hacking, one should be using the old models, like nokia 3310 and others of that era which don't have a highend operating system. If there is no high end operating system then there won't be any hacking.
Gotta be honest, I wish we were in times like this again. People are used to video chats and growing their digital identity more than worrying about their own security / privacy

Internet already exist during those times. And rumors says that military allow regular people to use internet is because they already have something new that will collect data without having the use of these technology. There ain't no privacy these days so long as you have gadgets being connected online thats what movies were telling.

I don't have a favorite criminal though so I'm not aware how they are tracked but certainly if you live in the 3rd world country, you may not care about it. But I own some privacy coins namely Xspec.
2106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCNT] Bincentive - Mirror Trading Matchmaking on: May 11, 2019, 08:39:56 PM
Is mirror Trading different from copy trade? It does sound the same to me. I'm reminded of the previous projects of same model.

This your response Traders must also have a positive auditable track record and go through our approval process has partially answer my second question because forex trading has a demo account that users can try before using their actual funds but crypto does not support such.

They may be able to do that too by releasing test tokens to mimic the market for the demo accounts but this might just be too much of a work.
2107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term plan for investment. on: May 10, 2019, 06:59:11 PM
BTC would only be for long term investment if its in the bull market. IF not just keep trading it with a stablecoin.
There are coins that you would only buy for trading which prices does swings up to 10%, it can give you profit for a week of waiting such as BAT but if you want to have a long term  plans, at least pick the ones that can give you higher yields and income generating like NEO.
2108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone who use mobile wallets? on: May 10, 2019, 06:49:40 PM
I have been using iconomi for two years and I haven't met a problem so far.

If you felt a horrible thing when you use mobile wallet you should explain here. What mobile wallet did you use?

Why did you enter it to dangerous thing? maybe it will be better compared you just wrote a negative statement without an explain.

ICONOMI is an asset management platform, its not a wallet AFAIK. IT does have a BTC wallet and so are the rest of the tokens they added on their platform. Wallets they might mean are those like electrum in mobile phones, I'm not relaly sure if they are safe but if you have the private keys I think its safe. There are wallets like EIDOO which is a hybrid wallet with an exchange with it too, you do have the private keys too.
2109  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: can blockchain.com be hacked? on: May 10, 2019, 06:27:01 PM

Probably. Anything online can be hacked, it may be in a different way like if there is someone in their office who suddenly got crazy and stolen funds in it. Or someone who is eats and breathes how to penetrate their servers, I always believe the security expert who said every thing that is online and are on the live server can be hacked.
2110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will transaction fees get in the way of the bull run? on: May 09, 2019, 07:42:31 PM

BTC will be spent like money everyday, its going to happen. Its not just going to be an investment that will just lie on the wallets, in the future when over billions of people will be using mobile wallets, we will be paying items to buy using our phones where soon big fees will be a hinder for us to spend btc. LN is a must.
2111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: Time For A New Market Leader ? on: May 09, 2019, 07:12:20 PM

To me Binance will still be considered a market leader, it isn't going to just die down because of 7000BTC, it doesn't even affect the market. Tracking who hacked and jailed them may really be a good marketing for the exchange in the end.

They were the first to convince more exchanges not to support BSV, I don't think its enough for CW to be laughing now. Binance did more damage to them.
2112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quarkchain Help needed. Super massive losses. Please suggest on: May 09, 2019, 07:05:13 PM
Investing 5btc on an altcoin alone is freaking too much ,if I have 5btc I would diversify it in many altcoins ,infact if that 5btc goes on bch only you would be upthreading in profits

OP is just too late. He should have dumped it when the market starts. I bet he received a lot of discounts enough to consider profit from being an investor but he missed it. 5BTC would have been enough for him to profit about 1BTC for it. The project is actually great, it had been compared to big projects like Zilliqa which is also another type but then of course Quarkchain were hyped much as to expect rise right after the mainnet.
2113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Address can now be as Simple as Domain on: May 08, 2019, 01:13:13 PM
Its a domain registrar, very interesting. But weren't this just like the concept of aliases that we do with bitshares and in wavesplatform?

If its really like a domain, it can be as easy to remember a website url which means, it corresponds to a certain IP address in the DNS. Thsi is what I thought but
what they said was that and I quote.

Are blockchain domains part of ICANN/ traditional DNS?
No. Blockchain domains are what’s called alternate roots. They are not part of the current DNS
2114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will transaction fees get in the way of the bull run? on: May 08, 2019, 03:22:15 AM

When bullrun comes, it doesn't matter how much the transaction cost will be as its worth sending anyway. During the last 2017 bullrun, we were sending BTC and some other coins back and forth. If you however will be sending a payment to someone which will only cost about $5 but the transaction fee would be $50, that would be a horrible situation. You'd rather be using paypal for it.
2115  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binance na hack! on: May 08, 2019, 02:50:55 AM
Ayon sa article single account langang affected, pero ang yaman 7000BTC agad. Di gganong affected ang market nito sabi nga nila ay

"Binance will use the #SAFU fund to cover this incident in full. No user funds will be affected."

Parang hindi nilubus-lubos ng hacker ang ginawa niya dahil ganyan lang ang nakuha nya. Congrats pa rin sa kanya.

2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share your favourite gambling site and story behind it on: May 08, 2019, 02:38:43 AM

Surprising no one mentioned on EOSbet.io when gamblers are going there every now and then for the jackpot of more than $20k for a bet worth 1EOS. If you have played Dice and Bacarrat, EOSbet.io would be a good one though this is new, you also earn BET tokens when wagering 20EOS. One that most probably are known to us all here in the forum is the fortunejack, it became my fav because I won good amount there.
2117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO still have huge chance of surviving on: May 07, 2019, 06:57:38 PM

Well that's what is happening now. ICO still is here and will keep on staying. they just can't force the team to avoid the IEO because its going to make them suffer in the end when exchanges who host them are going to be also manipulate the market of the token. The only good thing with IEO is that tokens get listed right after the crowdsale.
2118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts really die once BTC starts climbing unbelievable highs? on: May 07, 2019, 05:30:12 PM

Is that right? Roll Eyes  I wonder which alt he shills this time.

We're talking about BTC getting dumped and replaced by the altcoins when certainly they rely on BTC's value. Bitcoin is just 21M and more than millions were already gone in the forgotten wallets which means the limited supply and how rare BTC is will be overthrown?
2119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's time to buy altcoins on: May 06, 2019, 02:11:46 PM
MY trades are 80 to 90% effective, I do not say that they are 100% because it would be lying, the idea is to add profit, the altcoin are to speculate with them, buy one level is sold in another and look for another Altcoin, stay with the altcoin for a long time can be a very serious mistake, so I happened in 2018 and lost a lot of money, when the owners of the projects sent us to HOLD they sold the coins at the highest prices, you learn to know the system after more than 2 years of hitting.

Its all speculative even the best ones doesn't guarantee 100%. Signals are good but the market will always act like how the market will act and if there are fundamental news coming, it will be interrupted and the market again will react. Buying altcoins can be good if you are one of those who will be at its bottom price.
2120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Central Banks in the Age of Blockchains on: May 06, 2019, 01:59:42 PM

Certainly banks are interesting to use the technology, it would be interesting if they use Ether or any other platform for their projects, right now the only that claims that they are going to be used by banks was XRP which somehow its unsure if it were true though there were articles about it. They may be creating their own by now which IMF will play bigger role too.
