1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins PurgeThe Advantages Brought By Bear Market on: September 19, 2019, 07:39:35 PM

It did happen and whichever coin survives this bear I guess will live long. There are coins which the value is worth less than a cent which previously was worth more than $0.10, the token still is well traded and has millions of volume in the exchange. Not dead still. Even when a coin doesn't have updates nor usecase but just characteristics like can send faster in seconds, traders find it worth trading and shall live.
1822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IEO] CurioInvest - Bringing collectables into the digital world on: September 19, 2019, 04:11:00 PM
       Deposit and Trading Announcements

According to announcements made by Probit, the deposit will open on September 19 at 15:00 PM KST and trading will begin on the next day [as planned before] at 15:00 KST

Source: ProBit Exchange Lists Curio (CUR)

That's good. Looks very prompt. Almost very timely for the team since the market looks good. Its still too early to say but some are already speculating the altcoin season is here and they can smell it coming. I'm as hopeful as them so maybe this Curioinvest coluld be a successful project by the next bullrun.
1823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VX Coin | ViteX - Powered by Vite on: September 18, 2019, 07:23:15 PM

I'm not sure if this is overly hyped project but they are making a noise in the forum. But probably because a team member is also from a big project.
What is the purpose of the Vitex coin while you also have the VX coin, there are two coins already for this exchange. What plans do they have for this exchange to have real volume?
1824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: September 18, 2019, 06:24:44 PM
It's like some kind of gambling. And obviously people like to buy lottery ticket in order to test their luck at the same time. If luck favor like playing cards and if it's your day then there high chance of winning the lottery. And if you get this one then I am sure your luck will turn. All the best!

Unfortunately, the odds that you'd get struck by lightning twice is higher than wining a lottery though. We've seen people claim they win of course, its one in a million chance and they sure are the luckiest in the world. But see how much people had spent $2-20 a day for the tickets all their lives being persistent and all that had happen is nothing. IF they kept those $20 a day, they might have substantial amount to leave for their kids.  Knowing the odds is important before gambling.
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any Altcoins out there backed by real assets? on: September 18, 2019, 05:55:22 PM
A brief explanation of the Gold Standard and why a currency backed by gold wouldn't work today:

www.monetran.com/currency-support/

XAUR is backed by gold https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xaurum/
There is also a project by the Populous Team which is named XAUP, I think its not yet on the market right now. This is the ANN thread of this project https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5100378.0

I think there is also a gold backed project in the WAVES platform, I just can't remember the name of the project.  If by real asset includes real properties then I guess there are more of the projects, you just have to search for it.
1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass adoption growing or decreasing? on: September 18, 2019, 05:41:14 PM
It's growing
Currently we have Facebook launching own cryptocurrency backed tokens.
Today Binance America received the licence to trade securities so mass adoption of cryptocurrency is increasing.

That binance.us is also a sign for adoption. The US traders were excluded for sometime but now they can legally trade in an exchange will huge volume. Altcoins are being bought right now, I think they are not just bought solely just to pump but because these coins are pretty much has some use in the adoption since the projects are working.
1827  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EOSBet.io - Licensed Casino Platform 🎲Provably Fair 🎲NOW ACCEPTING BTC ₿ on: September 18, 2019, 03:41:44 PM
EOSBet does not have a license for Initial Coin Offers!

Therefore all BET fantasy token investors can demand its investment back!

Curacao laws furthermore require to show the accounting to investors.

I think it is time to report to authorities?

You mean you haven't reported them yet? You have been telling everyone they are scam yet you haven't reported them for so long. I even thought you were the Authority since you were providing real lottery ticket. But ye lets all demand our investment back!!  Grin

I am starting to think we might have found a bottom on bet tokens and i am gradually buying in to raise my stakes.

I wait til newdex to see if what they said about it will really happen and then buy BET.
1828  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. on: September 17, 2019, 07:37:12 PM
Sportsbet have cancelled their deal with Watford? Can't find any info on that.
The person i responded (game-protect)was bombarding every thread with a cancelled deal of another sports book with Tottenham which happened in August and he being the judge and executioner here came to know about it a couple of days ago and hence i was responding to his troll and it has nothing to do with sportsbet.io .

So about it was  there already an info regarding this canceled deal?   Sportsbet Ad is already working that Binance CEO noticed it. hilariousetc is right though, while they are advertising it, they should put that word "BITCOIN" on it, people doesn't notice anything until it can be googled. People will just look at the logo and says "its letter B"!
1829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: September 17, 2019, 07:17:28 PM

You don't have to put a lot to wager in lottery but you can get the highest pay once you win. Its not that easy to win, matter of fact I haven't won anything from lottery myself.  The only reason I would probably play lottery is if the casino allows you to pick a lottery ticket for every bet you do in their casino. Its like playing Slot machine in EOSBET.io which gives anyone a chance to win $10K for every dice roll you make.
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: September 17, 2019, 07:00:58 PM
If Coinbase confirms rumors, I expect my sell order at $8 to be filled soon after

$8 would a good price. Its just not possible when there are several coins out there that has nothing to fud about. The prices of the good coins today are just making a big leap unlike this XRP, those people doesn't even care if its centralize or not so long as it gets them profit. But this XRP discourages all. Its centralized and not bringing money to them.
1831  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EOSBet.io - Licensed Casino Platform 🎲Provably Fair 🎲NOW ACCEPTING BTC ₿ on: September 17, 2019, 05:20:24 PM

I think I would have to put back the tokens I have in bnb to EOS again, there seem a lot of dividends missed since the time I send them to Bnbdex. Token is not worth selling due to its price.

FYI: Currently the estimate of dividends for EOSBet is $8.87 per week not $2+, but let's continue assuming it's 2+$.

I like the way you calculate and that is also not even including the potential increase in dividends over those 3 years. If you believe in EOSBet like I do you would also consider the growth of the user base and increase of volume a long the way. It's good that your calculation is conservative, but I for one expect that the current average dividends per week will be at least double in 3 years (and that's me being conservative)  Cheesy

Yup figured you can get about 2 EOS a week for it. Thats a good deal without even doing something but just holding BETS.
1832  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nexxus Rewards - SCAM - Fake team member on: September 16, 2019, 08:31:31 PM

Its really hard to prove this is just a mistake when a lot of scam projects had done this before this Nexxus team did. I don't have any idea what the Nexxus project is but even if a project has really good concept but mistakenly put another picture as their team member, its not going to look good for the project. To us posting fake profiles means there is an intention.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Marketing And Religion on: September 16, 2019, 12:54:16 PM
~]In Islam, gambling is bad so anything related is considered a sin. Also, include promoting a gambling site because they help the owner and attract the attention of other people (no matter his religion) to make sins (play gambling). It doesn't matter if a Muslim doesn't play but if they promote it is still prohibited in his religion.

It's not that I personally care much about it, but I'm sure there are people who do, and I think you should provide quotes and links when making such statements. Some people earn their bread by promoting gambling sites, and some of them are religious. Who are you to call them sinners?
I'm not a part of Islam people but I have found an article saying that gamblers and those who drink wine are sinners.

“They ask you [Muhammad] concerning wine and gambling. Say: ‘In them is a great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit.’… Thus does Allah Make clear to you His Signs, in order that you may consider” (Quran 2:219).
Quote
“O you who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, dedication of stones, and divination by arrows, are an abomination of Satan's handwork. Eschew such abomination, that you may prosper” (Quran 5:90).
~

Okay, but what about promoting a gambling site or making wine, or working in a wine store to earn your daily bread? This is what this topic all about. Can someone provide quotes from  Quran, Bible or any other religious book which at least can be interpreted to mean that promoting gambling site is a sin?

You can consider it a vague law when it says you can not make money out of money. And so if you make money out of your assets which were bought by your money, its assumed its allowed. It may also be look at this way when it comes to promoting gambling sites since you are not gambling at all. You are only promoting.

1834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Day Trading for a Living? on: September 15, 2019, 04:20:34 PM

You will have to monitor the charts every time for this but certainly doable since a lot claimed to be good at it.  You can make money out of it with leverage so with just a few cents of price dips and spikes, you can live and spend a hundred dollars a day without financial problems in the future. This has been done by few Forex traders who now lives in some other countries relying to their trading skills.
1835  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Seller said i have to wait on: September 15, 2019, 02:17:16 PM
I'm using localbitcoins, still did not received anything from seller,i decided to open a dispute

everything im involved in can never go smooth lol

You have all the time to file a dispute why done it so soon?  It would only look like you are the ones who want to scam here.
Can wait for more than 2 hours and verify whether the person you deal with had send it. You check your wallet on the blockchain whether there is an incoming. You can even file a dispute tomorrow but why so soon.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Marketing And Religion on: September 15, 2019, 01:48:30 PM
Considering your example I will like to give you another query.
Interest is also illegal or ban in many religions but the bank still operate in those countries.
So does that mean that people working in the banks their income is also illegal since the banks systems are based on the interest ?
I really don't know how that is looked upon. In Muslim countries there is something called Islamic Banking. That is a non-interest banking that is based on Sharia Law. Muslims are allowed to work in those types of banks as they can operate freely in Muslim countries.

You can read more about that way of banking here:
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/i/islamicbanking.asp

Not familiar about this but looks almost the same actually.  It says they are not allowed to make money out of money but it only look like they are hiding interest to the assets they are buying for the loaner.  They make money our of the assets but still assets value is money, fine line in there but its all there is.
1837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finding the person who has received 1 billion dollar is likely possible on: September 14, 2019, 06:58:35 PM

He'd probably pay ton of money just to keep his identity secure, probably pay someone to act with documents to submit to pass kyc to keep away from people who will potentially track him and kidnap his son/daughter for ransom. He'd do a lot of troubles to hide his email and name.
1838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP and BCH on: September 14, 2019, 06:24:32 PM

Of all coins to invest, he picked this two lol.  If in the right mind, one will pick BTC rather than the fork and then if you have BTC, you will stick to it than buying another fork. For XRP, its acceptable since XRP is great when you trade it alot and when there is a real movement of the price but if not, you'd be messing with the whales using XRP.
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 14, 2019, 04:25:25 PM
Glover still fighting huh? He still hungry for that belt.

Khabib will meet his match. Maybe his is the king in his division for now, but there will be a time that someone will dethrone him in the 155 division.
He will if he does not retire early or if he does not choose/avoid his opponent later on.

Discipline, Respect and Skills, put them all together and you have an undefeated fighter.
You can also add tough chin (at the moment) in there. He has been hit hard a few times but his chin held up. There will come a time where he will lose it and will be knocked out.

Khabib's chin was never tested by Dustin. He tried on the 2nd round, but he did not have a strong convincing punch on Khabib's head.

Also, Dustin appeared to be weaker than his fights before this. It might be the heat.

I agree, I'm not really sure if he hit Khabib clean in the second round, he may have clip him, but I don't think it's solid enough.

Dustin appeared to be weaker because Khabib was all over him in the first round. Took a toll on him that's why he try to swing at every angle in the second round. However, when Khabib is on his back again, his energy was drained perfect for the Khabib attempted choked in the 3rd.

Khabib would have out balance and fall if he were tagged in the 2nd round. His hip and foot wasn't in the position while he was backing away. Dustin is bigger, more knuckle power but is out of luck and Khabib's wrestling took in control. Khabib has defeated super stars in MMA nothing, he is still young so he will be challenged every time by the rising stars.

1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS IT A SIGN OF FAILURE OR Scam? on: September 14, 2019, 12:56:53 PM

Its all because everyone has their own belief of what could happen and most high ranked users see BTC to be the best of all coins. Tokens like KONOIS will be received by hunters who will dumped just after receiving it and move on to trade in BTC/USD and not on KONOIS/BTC, in short KONOIS will just be dumped for BTC.

Not a sign of failure but if the project like KONOIS will be developed further, it can have good price i usd which all will be using. IT may be dumped but its not the end. The team has all the time in the world to prove they are not scam.
