This guy is right, especially about most of the people with consistently, overly bearish price predictions.
Most of them are youngsters with a pathetic bitcoin stash. There are a fair few here too, so bitter & jealous about their own pathetic bitcoin stash so they enjoy trying to fuck up everybody else’s chance of making life changing money.

@RiggsBTC
Bears will be trying to short all the way up to #BTC  $20K. Many will get completely wiped out because they simply wont take advantage of the greatest buy in investment history.

Then people wonder “why doesn’t everyone just buy bitcoin?”..

Its going to be hilarious.

@RiggsBTC
Most of these crypto accounts on Twitter are 19 year old noobs with .03 BTC. Many make the space look bad. Many have zero idea what they’re doing.

No wonder they’re all bearish. They will be left in the dust to learn the hard way.

IXcoin hardforked and split about 2 years ago.  Sadly the guy who did our coding never provided details on where the forked IXcoins are or how we can claim them.

The ixcoin on exchanges right now is not the original ixc but the segwit fork.  It is susceptible to attacks.  Also, if this segwit ixc moons and you move your old coins to cash out you will most likely never see the split coins which you should have gotten for free.  Those will most likely be the ones with massive value.  Sadly this is what happens when you gotta here help.

Heads up:  Cause I’m a team player and not a lying thief like all those around me.

Lol, so what about use the moonin ponzi segwit shitcoin for financing  the true original, working and scaling one and build real team playing world economy on top of it?

Hmmm..wait!

 Grin

Yes, sounds plausible and doable but of course the segwit chain must have real life use-case otherwise you’re just committing financial fraud and nobody wants to do a 10 year stint for the sake of cash.

Trying to make them both work and maybe merge would be ideal.  We’ll see, for now they both look pretty dead.  I’m focusing on BTX and BTXT.  Massive potential but they too are in a similar bind so I’m curious to see how they do it.

BTW, new telegram room in case I quit crypto:  https://t.me/Apocalipsa777

Happy Jesus has Risen Day.  Because He lives I have been given hope and a chance at eternal life.

BELIEVE!!!

It is quite clear that Segwit is non-compliant for a chain that defines a coin as a chain of signatures.

So btc has not much to do with Bitcoin any more, except pretending or defrauding uninformed ppl

Lol, you re just on the track to enable, scale up crime.
Cash is used by many people, and some of them are criminals. Should we ban it?
The internet is used by many people, and some of them are criminals. Should we ban it?
Tor is used by many people, and some of them are criminals. Should we ban it?
Encryption is used by many people, and some of them are criminals. Should be we ban it?
Mixers are used by many people, and some of them are criminals. Should we ban them?

Just because criminals use a service doesn't mean the service is untrustworthy, immoral, illegal, unnecessary, or unwanted.

Only criminal or dumb idiots try to hide
Nothing to hide, nothing to fear, is such a mind-numbingly stupid argument that is beggars belief how often it gets repeated. If you are so unexceptional, so unassuming, so uninteresting, so meek, so pitiful, that you have nothing to fear by letting everybody and their aunt monitor your every action, movement, communication, transaction, then so be it. Please post your real name, social media profiles, email addresses, and passwords to this thread, so we can all take a good look around. Yeah, I didn't think so.

Quote from: Glenn Greenwald
The old cliché is often mocked though basically true: there’s no reason to worry about surveillance if you have nothing to hide. That mindset creates the incentive to be as compliant and inconspicuous as possible: those who think that way decide it’s in their best interests to provide authorities with as little reason as possible to care about them. That’s accomplished by never stepping out of line. Those willing to live their lives that way will be indifferent to the loss of privacy because they feel that they lose nothing from it. Above all else, that’s what a Surveillance State does: it breeds fear of doing anything out of the ordinary by creating a class of meek citizens who know they are being constantly watched.

Quote from: Jacob Appelbaum
There is the inherently selfish response of ‘I have nothing to hide’. Well it is true that I am not ill. It is true that I am not blind. But I still want to live in a world that has hospitals. I still want to live on a street that has accessibility for blind people. And it is also the case that I want to live in a world where everyone has privacy, thus dignity, confidentiality and integrity in their daily lives, without having to ask for it, to beg it from a master. Because it is the case that when you ask someone for those things, they may not grant them. And then you will know that you are not free.

You just talking ppl into using it, cause you might need it.

Better inform ppl how bad mixers are. There is no proper discussion, cause it is shit, and not needed for normal ppl at all.

Debunk what agenda and use case you have. It cannot be a good one
1185  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-04-13] Coin Mixer’s Record Month Proves Bitcoin Users Want Anonymity on: April 19, 2020, 12:40:51 PM
Why would regular people who use bitcoin as a speculative investment want to mix their coins?
Because privacy is a fundamental right. You don't have to be doing something illegal to want to keep your financial dealings private or to obfuscate how much bitcoin you are holding.

Why do regular people who own fiat not post their bank statements publicly?
Why do regular people who own gold not post their holdings publicly?
Why do regular people who own stocks and shares not post their holdings publicly?
Why should bitcoin users be any different?

Bitcoin is unique in that anyone in the world can see what you are holding if they know your address(es), and so bitcoin is unique in its need for mixing services.

Lol, you re just on the track to enable, scale up crime. Nothing else.

Average Joe doesn't care cause he doesn't do anything wrong and in case u need to proof where you ve you funds from, or u gonna lose it / getting confiscated cause u cannot proof they might be stolen/ tainted

Only criminal or dumb idiots try to hide, or help to

Btw, privacy never means anonymity

Forking an open source project is generally a good thing as different team works differently on a fork of parent and contribute towards a wide variety of improvements which can be helpful to each other to improve the parent as well as other forks. But with bitcoin, most of the forks are for taking the credit, making themselves popular or even to pre mine before providing the resources to miner in order to gain profit.

Partly,

you just cannot fork (and keep its brand...) a financial system / product where termsheets / legal conditions where defined BEFORE / at time it was  released  - that makes Bitcoin very unique

Truth time for C. Wright and "his" million bitcoins

On this April 17th, part of the cryptosphere is keeping a close eye on Florida. A new episode in Craig Wright's incredible judicial saga is being played out in one of the U.S. State District Courts. In the case between the alleged creator of Bitcoin (BTC) and the heirs of his late partner Dave Kleiman, the inarguable Faketoshi will have to present his evidence to the court in the next few hours, at the risk of writing off "his" 1.1 million bitcoins - this time definitively.

Craig Wright and the One Million Bitcoins
A controversial figure in the cryptosphere, the self-proclaimed genius inventor of Bitcoin, the dean of digital currencies continues to attract mockery. Now well known for his charlatanism, often humiliated, but always triumphant, Wright sees an important event concerning him looming this weekend.

An umpteenth countdown is indeed launched for Craig Wright aka Faketoshi. An order signed this week by a Florida judge has ordered the Australian to go backwards to comply with a previous decision... This previous injunction had already, in the past, obliged him to present before the Court all useful evidence to prove his status as owner of the million BTC.

In short, the legal saga between Wright and the Kleiman heirs appears to be rather simple in its substance - one million Bitcoin at stake between the parties - but its unfolding is anything but straightforward. The defendant's strategy seems to have no logical thread, leading the trial to frequent dead ends, forcing the court to retrace its steps.

Skilful and strategic - but also deceitful and resorting to delaying tactics, in the words of the magistrate himself - the cryptosphere's chief trickster has apparently never shown the slightest real good faith in wanting to comply with the Court's main requests.

Probably because he has - in reality - no evidence to back up his statements, Craig Wright has indeed recently objected to the request not to have to produce documents essential to the investigation. His manoeuvre was in his image - burlesque - and consisted in invoking the sacred bonds of marriage and the right to professional secrecy, reasons - very serious in his view - that did not allow him to disclose the documents required before the Tribunal.

Judge Beth Bloom of the Florida District Court ruled on the case. She overruled the objection and ordered Faketoshi to deliver the evidence to the Court without delay. The seconds and minutes are ticking away, because the date of April 17 is the only limit accepted... otherwise Craig Wright could write off his hypothetical fortune of 1.1 million bitcoins.

The first hard fork took place at block #478559 on 1 August 2017, which transformed into a Bitcoin Cash (BCH), that offers larger blocks (up to 8 megabytes at the start).
To be candid, the August 2017 Bitcoin fork was the one that held the highest uncertainty and apprehension in the crypto community. I was a noob then but I felt the tension in the market. It was as thick as a Russian snow. The market literarily paused and as soon as the fork successfully birthed BCH, everything went on a high drive and Bitcoin went on to record its ATH. Thank you OP for drawing our attention to this. Sincerely, I didn't know we had so many forks as listed.

There is only: True original BitCoin (10+ years onchain tested)

and some protocol experiments / variations - incl segwit (just since that Aug 2017)
