1241  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: April 06, 2020, 04:03:44 PM
Can you add anybody to this list?

Nope

Didn't think so.

In other news, Craig got caught in another lie earlier today. This time lying about Satoshi's birthdate being attached to his vistomail email account. It wasn't. It was the date he used when creating his P2P Foundation profile.

https://twitter.com/MyLegacyKit/status/1247142197323075586

Vistomail, being a privacy-centric email service, doubtfully even had a place to enter your birthday. I registered for an account just now and there was no "birth date" option (granted it has since changed owners).

How anybody can be so blind as to continue to support this guy when he gets caught in a new lie every other day is beyond me.

trolling the trolls, by feeding with usless details

you got caught again - and reacting

meh, it even wont help telling ya.

in the mean time:

Was this information in his account? Where was this information originally taken from?

nothing - u got trolled by op

@hv_ You are the 'troll' here. Stop lying to people and spreading misinformation and falsehoods.

BSV is NOT Bitcoin and CSW is NOT satoshi.

...

@achach Yes the information was presented by the real satoshi (NOT CSW) at:

The information on that site has unfortunately been added to in recent times, however the original pages are accessible via the wayback machine ...

.... "They separately name Binance, Civic, BProtocol, Status, Block.one, KayDex, Quantstamp, BiBox, TRON Foundation, KuCoin, HDR Global Trading, and many of their principals, including crypto notables such as Brendan Blumer, Dan Larimer, Vinny Lingham, and Binance founder Changpeng ("CZ") Zhao. "

How many of them have the funding to pay for good layers and reduce the case into a settlement and a fee payment for the SEC?

Such cases can take years if aimed at local companies. When you're suing offshore firms it's going to be a pain for the court to be able to schedule hearings and such and for the prosecutors to go through all the translations. They must be aware that defendants will hide behind their local laws and will keep delaying everything.
This case is just for show IMO, unless they want to keep coming to court for the next couple years.

The main problem of the US and their law is that while all countries believe that if your citizens go somewhere and buy something, they need to check if it's fine with their local law. So if you buy a gun in an online store and your country doesn't allow guns, you will have to take responsibility for it and possibly face a fine and lose the gun.
The US law makes it so that if someone buys a restricted item online, it's the fault of the seller. The seller should have asked where the client is from and be aware of all the US laws and regulations. Tell me this isn't crazy.

The latest case around telegram coin say sth different, it's not enough to just exclude US tax payer

However, the developers have declared that they will still turn on their platform and issue the tokens. What can America do?

it is th scam that is getting called out - in PUBLIC by REAL WORLD PPL

Absolutely. Here is a partial list of public figures that have called out Craig Wright's Faketoshi scam:

Changpeng Zhao - Binance CEO
Peter McCormack - podcaster
Greg Maxwell - Bitcoin developer
Amaury Sechet - Bitcoin Cash developer
Andrew O'Hagan - journalist, author
Arthur van Pelt - Bitcoin entrepreneur
Jameson Lopp - Bitcoin engineer
Dan Kaminsky - computer systems security expert
Vitalik Buterin - Ethereum developer and creator
Trace Mayer - Bitcoin developer
Charlie Lee - Litecoin developer and creator
Zooko Wilcox-O'Hearn - Zcash developer and creator
Peter Todd - Bitcoin developer
Roger Ver - Bitcoin Cash figurehead

Here are the public figures that still believe Craig is Satoshi:

Calvin Ayre
Jimmy Nguyen
John McAfee

Feel free to let me know anybody (of significance) I may have missed. I'm sure there are some, at least for the first list.

Since the great doctor lied to me directly about being satoshi..I figured I'd post this here from another thread..

I listened to Fluffy Pony on the Bad Bitcoin podcast a few days ago and he made a good point I had not considered ( foolishly). He’s so deep in to his web of lies, lies that people have put their faith and money in to believing he’s actually Satoshi , that if he finally fessed up he’d lose all that income /potential income and every particle of his reputation.

As I’ve stated before.. it became very obvious to me when he told me he built smart contracts in to the chain from day 1, a direct contradiction to satoshi himself in this thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=750.msg8140#msg8140)...  Though Satoshi does not mention smart contracts by name., Nick Szabo stated to me that’s exactly what he believes Satoshi ( or maybe himself) was referring to.

Craig has posted so many contradictions to Satoshi by now, it's hard to keep count. Read the latest court entries, it's hilarious.

Its only contradicting if u love segwit, ano and anarcho - hate rules, gov, banks, real world finance, compliance ... and original unchanged BitCoin / the white paper : tranparent honest money systems - the chain of signature ...

so - no public figure with reputation in the real relevant fields can follow you  BTC & Segwit, LN - non-compliant code will go: Nowhere - it is th scam that is getting called out - in PUBLIC by REAL WORLD PPL

get over it

1256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi never used bitcointalk: Craig Wrigth on: April 03, 2020, 04:48:24 PM
The solution is to just ignore the guy.

the problem is that we can ignore the scammer but how about everyone else, more specifically the newcomers who may not be fully aware of the nature of his fraud? with all these desperate news sites that will always keep fishing for "hot" news to publish and get some traffic, his nonsense will always remain alive and could fool some people.
either everyone has to ignore him or his scams should be fought.

Noobs getting scammed into Segwit, so what is the point?

Sure, you all want ppl who debunking that marked as scammers. Wtf

Gigameg blocks go brrrrrr

Pay no mind to the fact that its a total sham run by a couple of con artists. Coins with such leaders always fare well.

Lol - nuttyboy: Loves Big Postings

but small blocks

bch is rekt anyway - too much trouble - not compliant like SegWit

Craig's latest blog post, claiming that Satoshi never posted on Bitcointalk because the domain wasn't registered until 2011: https://craigwright.net/blog/bitcoin-blockchain-tech/satoshi-never-posted-on-bitcointalk/

The obvious truth is that the forum was originally hosted on bitcoin.org and was moved to the Bitcointalk.org domain in 2011. Here is an archive link from 2009 to the original forum: https://web.archive.org/web/20091215005450/http://bitcointalk.org/

The archive link shows post made Satoshi, which again shows how terrible Craig is at fabricating this nonsense.

Tell me please, how could satoshi post on his account on http://bitcointalk.org on 8 december 2010, where he provides a link here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2162.msg28302#msg28302 if bitcointalk.org(with that address) didn't exist back then, it was moved only in 2011 to bitcointalk.org. This proves exactly what CSW says in his last post.

Cognitive problems much, mate?

Craig isn't proving anything. He's trying to confuse brainlets like you by using more of his technobabble.

Quote from: Faketoshi
Satoshi (I) never posted on Bitcointalk.

There were no posts made by Satoshi after Dec 12, 2010. His profile was last active on Dec 13, 2010. Mentioning bitcointalk.org isn't even relevant to the point he's trying to make, since the domain wasn't created until 2011: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3

Quote from: Faketoshi
There is nothing stopping the current administrators of Bitcointalk from posting as satoshi, which would prove nothing, because it isn’t my account and it never was.

Both Satoshi's current bitcointalk.org page and the bitcoin.org/smf Web Archive page show that Satoshi made 575 posts. There are no indications that anyone made posts from the Satoshi account, besides Satoshi himself: https://web.archive.org/web/20101221234913/http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3 / https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3;sa=showPosts

Quote from: Faketoshi
You see, when you control the database, you can edit what other people have said. There are a couple of posts that have been changed from the original.

Very conveniently Craig doesn't mention which posts have been changed from the original. The bitcoin.org/smf archive is available, so you can see the post Satoshi made before the domain was moved to bitcointalk.org. I'd love to hear which posts have been altered: https://web.archive.org/web/20101221174027/http://bitcointalk.org/
