BTC-E is about to break 80 to the downside..... geez, this is quick.

I've always been saying that Bitcoin is backed by SR and gambling. People keep telling me there is some bigger fantasy Bitcoin economy. Now you see.
True that! This is a bloodbath.

BTC-E is at 102 and no support on the books to be seen.... Edit: 2 minutes later, BTC-E = 95.....

Sub 100 is clearly possible, maybe I should have said that with crazy crash I mean sub $60 xD But I don't think it will be for long. I'm no oracle though, we will see ^^
Exactly - at 60 I'll start to buy. Cant wait. Hmmm, I have bids earlier than 60..... all the way down.... BTC-E just hit 109 and dropping.....

If the feds made the connection in 2011, what took them so long to find DPR? Just in case you read my post, I don't do drugs, never did, never will. Well, they did not "make the connection", they just started to monitor the guy, as they are probably monitoring hundreds if not thousands of users in these (and many other) forums. They realized that Ross Ullbricht read the same books as DPR, that he like the same youtube videos, that wrote in a similar way... So they waited until they caught him receiving fake ID's and such. I hope you all realize that being on the internet is like being naked in the middle of your town's main street. If you have something to hide, better not being online at all. Indeed. I figured SR would inevitably come down like this...

Silk road just crashed. Owner under arrest. Last chance to use less and less valuable bitcoins or litecoin buying more and more valuable XRP.
XRP has always been riding on bitcoin. What makes you think it is a safe hedge?

Bitcoin is much bigger than SR, in the long run this will be a good thing!
Not really. Most (all) of the sites that accept bitcoin directly, or through a payment processor, look like bodega shops. Pretty much this. Damn, BTC-E just hit 110.

|
|
I wouldn't be selling BTC now.. Bitcoin is antifragile - smash it and it doesn't die, only gets stronger!
That's a really persuasive argument.
|
|
|
This is crippling considering a bitcoin economy hardly exists. I wonder what happens / happened to the coins.

Well, pretty much missed out on this round, but it's good to be back!

When the spam accounts were deleted, most of the users were accidentally deleted, including all of the admins. We just found out how to get back into devtome. Accounts will have to be restored manually. If you can not login to devtome, please message your sign up admin, if your name starts with A-F, please message FuzzyBear, if your name starts with G-O message Wiser, and if your name starts with P-Z message Worldinacoin. You should include your email address, but not your old password.
They'll restore your account, and send you a new password. Then you should login, and change your password to what it was.
Because the sign up admins will get many messages, it may be a while before they can get around to restoring your account.
Great news!! Well, not about everyone getting deleted. Hopefully we can start getting back in.

BTC-E.
For cold storage, I like paper wallets. For online, I use inputs.io (see signature).

The client is killing me....... It's definitely a little buggy still, but it's improved significantly in the last few weeks. All morning, only been able to see the order book for a few seconds here and there. Constantly offline. Can't move my asks. Has it gotten better? I haven't noticed that. It's always been so buggy.....

I am buying it to be able to sell it later.
Having to have ripple to buy ripple is ridiculous
Well, if you have a bitcent lying around, someone will get you started pretty easily.
