1701  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is succesful trading? on: September 17, 2013, 07:49:37 PM
I view my trading portfolio in dollar value.

My non-trading coins..... I don't think about it. That's down-the-line time.
1702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is Bitcoin so cheap? on: September 17, 2013, 07:48:36 PM
I don't think that people are forced to use fiat money, it is because that so far they have no other alternative and they never realized that there could be an alternative

Try paying your taxes with gold, silver or bitcoins then and see what happens.

As long as people's income are in the form of fiat money, tax just mean reduced fiat money income, in fact many people don't even care about the tax since tax payments were already deducted from their salary

I think you are wrong that many people don't care about taxation. Tax to me and many others is money involuntarily taken away or deducted as you say, but a better word is stolen. If you resist to pay tax, you will be forced or face heavy consequences.

The argument remains, we do not have a choice to pay tax (income tax, capital gains tax, property tax, etc) because force will be used if we resist. We have to pay those various taxes in fiat currency. It logically follows that we are forced to use fiat currency. How can you disregard or wave away the simple facts?

I think fiat money is not forced to be used, just a historical consensus reached among people. If majority of people feel uncomfortable using fiat money, then they will vote a government that use another type of money, but the reality is that they have no knowledge about fiat money and they take it as granted since they were born

This is full of assumptions about "voting" and "government" -- and the possibilities that exist for us lowly people.  Smiley
1703  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CoinAd.com, a Paid-To-Click that pays you in Bitcoins! on: September 17, 2013, 07:26:50 PM
What is the general payout scheme for this?
https://coinad.com/?a=View_Ads

You can see the active ads ATM.

Thanks! This helps a lot.  Smiley

Have a look at their main thread, a few comments have gone into detail there.

Is the main thread the one directed at advertisers? I was sort of wondering about people's experiences. I know you can get "up to !!" but wondering what people actually get paid.
1705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: glitch to earn alot of coins on: September 17, 2013, 07:08:09 PM
hope no one fell for it

It was just an affiliate link, right? No harm then really.

Edit: NVM, could have poured a lot of money down the drain trying to exploit the "glitch." DOH!  Lips sealed

If someone found a sure-money glitch, you think they'd be posting it on the newbie forum?  Wink

Lol, they would exploit it as much as possible.

Usually what happen but it soon gets patched if the owner is losing money

Which is why you mash the keyboard getting moneyz and don't waste time posting on a forum about it.  Cheesy
1708  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Neteller - Bitcoin exchange on: September 17, 2013, 07:05:25 PM
Mostly just for P2P I would imagine. Lots of non-US online poker players still trade with Neteller I think, have not seen it in the bitcoin community much if at all, though.

Common theme around here.  Undecided
1710  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Loans? on: September 17, 2013, 07:03:37 PM
I'm looking to get some BTC loans and am not too sure where to start.  The reason I want to take loans is because it'll allow me to spread out my bitcoin buying a little more, which should help to protect myself.
This doesn't make any sense, but I'll take your word for it that you have some sort of strategy here...

Check out coinlenders maybe, but you're gonna have a hard time getting loans here with no reputation.
1711  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling And Bitcoins With PayPal on: September 17, 2013, 07:01:56 PM
There's a handful of reputable people I would do bitcoin <--> Paypal transactions with, but by and large, not recommended at all.

Do you subscribe to NAP?

No idea what that is.

Great answer. Keep it that way.

The US is not going to attack Syria nor any other country for the following reasons.

1.We don't have the money
2.The public is sick of it
3.the military is sick of it

You're just trolling, right? If not...

We do have the money, in the form of debt tied to future taxes, which are paid to the players in the war industry.

It doesn't matter what the public thinks. It doesn't matter what "the military" thinks in the sense of "people in the military". It matters what power-holders think, and how much money can be made.
1715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When Will The Economy Collapse? on: September 17, 2013, 06:44:27 PM
The economy has BEEN collapsed. I'm 21 and have never had over $2,000. And things are only getting MORE expensive.
It will slowly get worse for most people, just like it has been for a long, long, long time.

I would be looking at a long path of shit if it weren't for Devcoin. Bitcoin is great and all, but you need money to get involved.
You've got my attention. What sets devcoin apart? I mean, I know it is quite cheap and one could acquire a lot with a little... but are you saying you are long term bullish on devcoin, or something else?
1716  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Is Argentina's Bitcoin Community so Active? on: September 17, 2013, 06:43:07 PM
Not easy to acquire coins, as far as I've heard, either.
1717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peak/Reversal Watch on: September 17, 2013, 06:40:59 PM
In about 5 years oil is going to be useless because you can run all the worlds machine with a infinite supply of cosmic energy. Nikole Tesla patented his machine in 1901

Just wanted to add that in their with the oil talk

Cool story.  Could you link to the patent that describes how it works?  All US patents are public record.

sure

http://www.google.com/patents/US685957

the elite and oil bankers like to keep this patent a nice secret to keep the oil bankers in business, but not for much longer. Truth is spreading like a wildfire now-a-days..

People have been talking about this shit for years. Amirite?
1718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here come the MLM scams on: September 17, 2013, 05:26:45 PM
Yeah Bitcoin is a sort for MLM too, so MLMs can't be a scam, rite?

1720  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should weed be legalized? POLL on: September 17, 2013, 05:17:29 PM
Yes, so idiots who smoke it die so we have less stupid people on earth  Grin

Uhm did you hear about medicinal weed?
Yes, but I mean smoking it without having a medical reason.

Haters gonna hate. Fuck medical. Weed has its place as medicine, but this grey market alongside the black market creates perverse economic incentives and obviously does not work to restrict it to medical use.

The medical cannabis industry -- exceptions aside -- exploits black market consumers en masse. The majority of dispensaries here in LA area are fly-by-night and run by thugs trying to make as much money as fast as possible. The Bay Area is considerably better in this respect, in my experience, but still shady as hell.
