what's the going rate now?
Ripplecharts says 135 XRP/USD, don't know how up to date it is, though. I don't log into the client anymore..... dumped the last of my XRP last week at break-even. Need all funds available for BTC. Frankly, I thought there would be more price movement on the open source and zip-zap news. So it goes....

Is it possible and if so who would I contact?
I doubt it. To be fair, though, your account is from the end of September and has 40 posts. It's not like creating a new account would be too big of a deal, right?

Could you please answer on my recent post? You look that you have some experience with online wallets. Hmmm, sorry, I don't know much about coding or using API -- perhaps someone with more technical knowledge can help. You may find more help in another sub-forum. Good luck.

They still have a well-known brand despite their falling market share, so it's no surprise they are still a player. never used Gox myself, and never plan to, though. Certainly not after reading all the horror stories over the past several months.

Bitstamp implemented this as well on September 30th. I'm not sure when it happened on Gox -- I don't trade there -- but I wonder if there was notice beforehand. I was notified adequately, IMO, by Bitstamp long before they implemented the verification requirement for withdrawing bitcoins.

I was thinking, if you buy your BTC at Coinbase and then transfer them wherever, anyone with access to Coinbase's records will be able to track your BTC and tie them to you. Is that right?
Any centralized entity has this drawback. If you buy BTC on an exchange, yes, they have your IP logs, and yes, they if it came down to it, your coins could likely be tied to you. Then again, you could always mix them....

Blockchain.info or inputs.io wallet? Which one is the better and why? I'd like to use it on service paid with bitcoins.
Depends what you want it for. I trust TF (this is key to using Inputs, IMO), and I very much like the security features in place in addition to 2FA, like rolling withdrawal limit and pin pad. Great for an online wallet -- I don't feel as secure when using an online wallet with Blockchain.info. But if you want your wallet.dat and private keys, shared wallets like inputs.io won't work for you.

When I look at the FBI wallet on the blockchain it says in the top "Silk Road Seized Coins". How did that get renamed as I was unaware you could custom change that display?
Which address are you looking at? I don't see it. Have I been looking at the wrong address this whole time?! LOL...

Just curious what other do with them did they just take it as investment ?
Mostly hoard my coins. Try to eek a profit out of the market when I can and add to my stash, while occasionally taking some profits here and there in dirty fiat.

Im wondering how come the BitCoins amount is limited if people mine new coins everyday?
A lot of people think that because of the cap, and therefore that bitcoin has deflationary properties, that it is deflationary currently. However, the bitcoin money supply is actually inflating quite fast.....

This latest bull run was somewhat unexpected to me. Well, not entirely -- from the bottom at 65 it was clear we had a ways up to go. But this push to break 167 -- almost there! -- was a very pleasant surprise. I think it won't be long until we see a new all-time high, and then $1000 won't be far off.
Im not so optimistic becase all-time high is around 275, thats a huge difference from today price, and I expect correction near 200. Dont let me wrong, 1000 will happen, but not soon It could go either way, obviously, but we are in a massive bull run, with lots of buying pressure on Chinese exchanges. The bubble, which never fully deflated, could easily get inflated again. Breaking 167 on Gox will be super bullish -- not that the charts aren't, already. $1000 may be optimistic for said re-inflation, though.

I've managed to tuck away a couple dozen in cold storage for very longterm gains. My current trading portfolio is now heavily BTC as we head to break 167 on Gox.... only keep a combination of a handful of coins and a couple hundred dollars on the exchange for trading. I got pretty lucky with the Ripple giveaway -- got in early then forgot about it, then when I remembered, I dumped them immediately at what happened to be pretty close to the ATH for XRP. So that worked out well.

I don't think you'll get a realistic estimate looking at this forum. But I think many, many people got burned. Many more than that did on pre-orders in general. SMH....

I think it's because bitstamp's order execution is not atomic, unlike gox and btce. On gox and btce, orders are instantly executed against any available opposing orders BEFORE the remainder appears on the book. However, notice on bitstamp how you can see crossed orders on the book before they execute - you are seeing the trader's original order on the book first and THEN it gets executed later by some algorithm (fifo?). Also the execution is arbitrarily marked as a buy or a sell which is why you see red/green mixed up on services. It is not atomic. So during the crash even though you saw a 90 ask, it wasn't really available because there was a huge line of people ahead of you waiting to execute against it. And I could also see executions of 95 and 105 being mixed together in the tape.
For the worlds new btc market leader, their trading engine sure needs a lot of work. Also the UI could be improved and made more robust for traders.
I stopped using Bitstamp for reasons I think are related to this. During flash crashes I had limit orders on the bid side set on multiple occasions -- the exchange rate declined right past by bids, recovered, and my bids were never filled. So aggravating. Never, ever using Bitstamp again.

How is the coding project coming along? Have we submitted a timeline to RS?
RS hasn't responded back to my email asking him if we give him an updated daemon if he would keep it up on mcx (doesnt respond on chat either, need to get through to him). For now we lucked out the NMC broke, but maybe its fate. Rsnel has tentatively agreed to making the changes, he has said "he will probably make the changes..." a few days ago so I sent him another message asking if he's good to go. Jag Thanks for the update! I didn't think about how the NMC issue would affect the situation. Glad to hear there is some progress being made here.

Then maybe it will be a price drop?
Yap, stay tuned, if they drop all at once, there will be a mini crash. Which exchange will they start the crash at, if its Gox, i should think they would hold it as compensation for the confiscated funds. I would think they would find a private buyer, so it wont affect the mrket at all. Yeah, I really can't imagine the US Government loading up an account on MT Gox and dumping their coins -- LOL. They will auction them, I think, and a private buyer will get a real sweetheart deal.

Makes it more difficult to send international wires, but not impossible by any means. Neither bank is prohibiting all of their busienss customers from sending wires, rather only the basic, entry level business checking accounts are no longer permitted. All that is necessary is to upgrade to a premium business account. With chase, their premium business account for $95/month you get 4 or 5 free international wires, that hasn't changed at all.
This is getting blown way out of proportion.
This is the conclusion that I am coming to as well. It seems that they are just jacking up the rates for certain banking features -- i.e. making it more expensive for you to send international wires.

I'll bite. So who comprises your organization -- what kind of reputation do those associated with it have? Why should I assume that my identity is safe with you?

How is the coding project coming along? Have we submitted a timeline to RS?
I'd like to know how the coding is going too. From what I gather DVC is staying on MCXnow for now due to the NMC bug meaning the RS doesn't want to add NMC anymore to replace DVC until NMC is fixed, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Anyone know how long until round 28 is paid out? According to http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devtome_stats -- Round 28 ... starts paying out at block 112,000. So it looks like we have a ways to go.
