101  Economy / Economics / Re: Question about inflation and debt. on: January 12, 2020, 04:57:54 AM
This has been talked about a lot and you can find answers with a small google search but lets assume you will get the right answer here, even that right answer is not enough to cover all the information we can give you here and even if the answer we give is right, a president usually holds the power to do the wrong thing (seen many times) whenever they want as well so they can actually do the wrong thing.

Normally, nobody does that for the same reason everyone said, inflation. If you print out trillions of dollars to cover your debt, you will have a huge huge inflation and your money will be worthless, everyone will have insane amount of your money and will exchange it for another nations money and suddenly your money worth very little, nobody wants that for their own currency.

Yeah right, but what are the solutions for govs in such situations?
I'd say they can delay the payment and stimulate the economy by focusing on it, whether it is domestic or foreign one.
There are various ways on how the government pay off their debts. Countries can reduce its debt by manipulating the interest rate. Some country also have tried reducing debt by instituting budget cuts. These are some ways to reduce debts without increasing the tax. But I think most of the time, governments are increasing taxes just to pay their debts. That's why paying proper tax is important for the government.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you currently holding cryptocurrencies and now speculating what will happen? on: January 12, 2020, 04:14:01 AM
I think cryptocurrency, despite existing already for 10 years, is still in its early stage, or this year might be the peak, golden time of cryptocurrency. Adoption takes place, both by institutions, some companies, and governments. This might not be good for Bitcoin alone, but altcoins like XRP and ETH are quite positive to being used.
Bitcoin's 10 years if existence is still a beginning of it. 2017 might be the best year so far in the history but Bitcoin still have a long way to go. 2020 could be a new best year for us. Bitcoin is still starting to get to mass adoption that's why there's still a lot of things that could happen in the future. And when mass adoption takes place, it will a good news for Bitcoin and crypto. Bitcoin's mass adoption can also bring acknowledgement to altcoins.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WeChat and Crypto on: January 12, 2020, 03:37:59 AM
We cannot push every company to accept cryptocurrency. It is already said that WeChat is dominant in China and maybe they're just afraid that accepting cryptocurrency might affect their business in China. Even if WeChat will ban users from trading crypto, it's not a loss for us and in crypto since there's a lot of big companies out there who accepted crypto. Probably they are just being careful with the country where they're doing well.
104  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I have a good domain name, but looking for an idea or partner... on: January 11, 2020, 02:57:28 PM
Your domain is nice but wouldn't it be a problem in the future, if possible since you've already said it is almost like coinbase and binance? But that idea was actually nice. You gave efforts thinking about it but I think it lacks creativity since it looks like just a combination. Just my suggestion that you can attract more possible partners if you included some ideas you have already.
105  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isang sikat, willing tumanggap ng bitcoin! on: January 11, 2020, 01:25:39 PM
I may not know that person, pero siguro sikat siya sa bansa niya and that's actually a good way to low-key promote bitcoin sa mga fans nya.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: War affects the Entire Cryptocurrency? on: January 11, 2020, 12:25:35 PM
If a war really happens, I think the price of Bitcoin will rise, after all, the national currency will collapse. If war happens, our lives will be problematic. Therefore, people in our society do not want war, and the primitive world will always be peaceful. Maybe everyone has the same vision as me. After all, I don't want to live in a war-torn world.
Yeah, we have the same vision. The country's national currency will be affected by the war. They will be spending millions of money for that war and it could drag them to a great debt. US is a rich country but I think Iran also don't want war as they also know what it could bring to their country. Thus, it will also bring impact to crypto market and could be the reason for its pump. Almost everyone says that their conflict is the reason for an increase few days ago. Even if it will bring a good impact to the market, I also don't want war to happen.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Warren Buffet build wealth by investing? on: January 11, 2020, 11:19:17 AM
Most rich people have inspiring stories to tell, especially those who came from rags to riches. This kind of stories like the story of Warren Buffett are really nice to hear and read. Because it inspire people to become like them. To do well, and work hard on things if you want it to achieve. Being poor is okay, but if you want to become a millionaire, or even a billionaire the. work hard for it.
I've already heard a lot of stories like this. And it really inspire me to work harder.

109  Economy / Economics / Re: Global Wave of Debt Is Largest, Fastest in 50 Years on: January 10, 2020, 03:42:16 PM
We cannot escape debt. A country with debt is normal. It only becomes so bad when the country have so much debt that their economy is falling. How come a country becomes free from debt when almost all people who lives in there have debts? Whether you are poor or rich, you still have debt. The richer you are, the higher debts you have. The difference is that, poor can't pay their debts because they don't have sufficient money. While rich people have debts yet they still have a lot of money.

Unfortunately, the politicians who borrow them are the people who pay the bills.
Many of these politicians are corrupt and no one is emulating them for their punishment, but rather impunity, especially in developing countries.

Therefore, the return to gold is highly unlikely, especially with the inflation of these countries ’spending and exchange. The least solution is to erode the value of the currency and thus print more money.

I too agree that returning back to gold standard is highly unlikely! But we also need to understand that, it doesn't stop banks and institutions from buying more and more gold to stack up their underground lockers! So the demand of gold is not going to decrease! Rather, in current situation, this trend of buying gold is likely to increase and we have already started seeing a surge in Gold's price.

So it really doesn't matter if gold standard is coming back or not, but it still remains the best hedge instrument during uncertain times!
Although it's hard to return with gold standard, gold will always be good because it will never depreciate. The demand of gold will never lose because its value will never lose also. Gold will remain stronger in any situation.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: Iran/US tension's effect on crypto and economy ? on: January 10, 2020, 02:54:59 PM
The recent Iran-US war like situation has already pumped up the oil prices and it has shown an postive effect for crypto and bitcoin as of now but how will this affect the national economy of other countries if a war breaks out?  Who will suffer most and where will this lead our economy as wars always leads to inflation.
If the war continues, obviously it will bring the affected country's economy down. They have to recover from the expenses, and damages that the war brought. Even in my country, there's a threat of an oil price increase. The one who will suffer are the normal citizens, not the president. It's their fight but others are the one who will suffer. I hope that this war won't get worse.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Discussions about ‘Iran buying Bitcoin’ are no longer valid on: January 10, 2020, 01:03:13 PM
This is often said by friends in this forum that the news about Iran or whatever it does not bring any influence, even though the price of bitcoin goes up it is just a coincidence and finally exaggerated by some people here, I do not feel comfortable actually bitcoin rise is currently trying to escape and out of the bear market, remembering that bitcoin halving will come soon in about 4 months

no it isnt a co incident but the war really push the price to go up becuase people cant do trade because they have more things to prioritize like finding a good shelter and food in the duration of war  . the networks are also cut out or only limited  that is why people cant access thier crypto account to sell  . and why you are not comfortable about this rise  ? because of the war  ?  hmm . that is good because you care for others as much as you care for your self  .
I also don't think everything was just a coincidence nor an exaggeration by people here. The price of bitcoin went up because it has a reason. And the most possible reason we can think is the war. Aren't you going to do the same if there is a war? You have to make sure that you have money for your basic needs.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you go to blockchain/crypto events? on: January 10, 2020, 10:52:11 AM
I can't go to that event because that's way too far from me. I mean, do I really have to travel on other country? There's also some events and seminars about blockchain and crypto here in my country which I also don't have time to go to. If I just can go, I would love to. But most events here in my country is still quite far from my place. I think I just got to wait when an event will happen near my place. But there are some small lessons about blockchain that I have went to.
113  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Password changed/Woke up.
Kaya ingat ingat parin talaga dapat tayo bago mag tiwala.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Think Craig Wright is Satoshi and Why That Matters on: January 09, 2020, 03:39:38 PM
Who think Craig Wright  is Satoshi Nakamoto?

Honestly, this guy has yet to prove that he is actually Satoshi Nakamoto.

And even simply putting up a bitcoin sign message he couldn't.

Funny thing is, people still take the time to discuss whether he's satoshi or not. We don't even have any evidence that satoshi is an actual singular person lol. This claim by craig wright is pretty much the same as john mcaffee's claim that he'll eat his dick if btc doesn't go to 1m this year. Both are utterly rubbish and shouldn't be taken seriously.
It's not really a discussion if he's the real Satoshi or not. Discussion about Craig Wright is becoming a discussion of his new lies. We're already aware that he is not Satoshi and it's not worth it to discuss it again and again especially here in the forum. But the thing is, he keeps on talking and saying something about Bitcoin that's why he can still gets the attention of us... I wonder when will he stop talking nonsense
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts about Bitcoin adoption on: January 09, 2020, 01:12:28 PM
Pay in store with Bitcoin can happen but you should undenstand that this have very volatile price so there's a risk if you use this still i think some stable coins can be like useful and helpful in store(grocery) so in future adoption of cryptocurrency will grow by this so just wait i'm sure that will happen because this brings so much convenience
Indeed why some merchants don't want to apply Bitcoin payment in their stores because of its volatility. It's very risky for every businessman to adopt Bitcoin because during bear market they can lose their capital. Using crypto payment, perhaps they will prefer stable coins. But if they are risk taker enough to accept Bitcoin, then that's good.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: How the situation in Iran might impact Bitcoin on: January 09, 2020, 12:29:44 PM
in fact I am quite doubtful that the rise in bitcoin yesterday was the impact of the conflict between Iran and America. But today when President Trump declared that he would not use military force to handle Iran's conflict, the price of bitcoin suddenly dropped again to $ 7k. so I think the Iranian and American wars have a little effect on the price of bitcoin.
Of course. The price increased when the conflict is still firing up, people tend to buy because of fear. But since the President already stated that he doesn't have any plan of making things big and have no intention of creating a war, some might have felt reassured already, that leads to the decrease of the price of Bitcoin back to $7,000.
Right now, let's just hope that we will get back to $8k
117  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Learn how to trade here in Forum? Actually you won't. on: January 08, 2020, 03:56:28 PM
Yung eagerness at willingness natin. Be thankful nalang pag may tumutulong magturo about trading.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: What is safe asset? And If USA dollar weakining what is Next Fiat? on: January 08, 2020, 01:09:19 PM
USA dollar weakining coz of war
So what is Next currency to use?
Its a euro?

And what is the safe asset?
I Think its not Gold and its not Property either
I doubt that USA will just end like that because of the on going conflict with other country, and with the possibility of having a a war. But if dollar starts to get weak, it can be either Euro or yuan I think? If I'm not mistaken they're next to usd.

As for the safest asset, I'd go for gold. Not crypto. Crypto isn't that stable unlike gold who will never lose its value.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year of changed altcoin discussion mentality on: January 08, 2020, 12:34:44 PM
Positive energy here is good to bring positivity of course. But just like you said, some investors uses this forum for information. And we can't just filled everything here with something positive when in fact there's also a negative things happening. If we just keep on posting positive and eliminate bad things, they night think that everything about crypto and altcoin is just positive. We can't just let them see one side. If there's bad altcoins, then let others know about it.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trump's iran War Pump in BTC Price. Will it last? Poll. on: January 08, 2020, 11:50:34 AM
Since the war is just starting I guess? It's already showing that the price increases but I don't think that this pump will continue when the war between the two country grew bigger. Yes, it acts as a store value but with war, will it even matter for the people affected? Just like in your poll, Bitcoin is a mystery that's why we can never know. It might look like it'll pump but since bitcoin is a mystery, it can result differently. We're not even really sure that the pump is because of the war.
