81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 17, 2020, 02:33:17 PM
Well you are not wrong you are only saying your mindset, but the truth is that blockchain technology is the future and cryptocurrency will be the only currency in the nearest future.
How can you be so sure about that? Both blockchain technology and cryptocurrency have a place in the future but not to the point that cryptocurrency can replace fiat. Do you think governments and all the people will agree to replace fiat when we've been using it a long time ago? And the nature of decentralized crypto is still vague to become a main currency for everyday transactions.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What bitcoin ideas do you have? Share it! on: January 17, 2020, 12:33:46 PM
Bitcoin promotions best work for those who are influential and have a lot of  followers. It's easier to promote Bitcoin that way. But as a regular/normal person, what I can do to promote Bitcoin is by introducing it to other people just how like most of us do. Referring it to other people so they can get idea that these things actually exist. If you don't have a business, then someone you know who has a business, tell them to start accepting Bitcoin because it can gain attention.
83  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Recap on 2019 Philippine Development on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency on: January 17, 2020, 08:17:02 AM
2019 was a good opportunity for blockchain and cryptocurrency to gain improvement pagdating sa acceptance.
84  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bakit wala tayong kadala dala kahit na paulit ulit tayong bumabagsak on: January 16, 2020, 06:22:00 PM
That's normal... There's so much failure out there.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why We Need Bitcoin, If Altcoins Transfers Are Faster And Cheaper on: January 16, 2020, 05:08:19 PM
But there will be no too many altcoins like that so-called faster and cheaper if it wasn't for Bitcoin... Others might be more fast and cheap but if you think Bitcoin is not usable, why do you think most people here still choose bitcoin over altcoins? Being fast and cheap are great but you cannot compare it on how many people still value bitcoin more than any altcoin. No matter how good a coin is, there will always be a gap between that coin and Bitcoin that, that coin can't surpass.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one ever sells, nor buys anything in BitCoin.. Think this is wrong, read on! on: January 16, 2020, 04:04:18 PM
We have different perceptions and how we're going to handle our bitcoins. Those sellers that accepts Bitcoin and immediately convert it with fiat, maybe they don't really want to invest in bitcoin. Maybe they just accept Bitcoin, because their customers want it. They have to go with the demand. While other merchants who accept Bitcoin might really are into Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin is already a risk, and it's more risky for businesses because they might end up losing profits so there's nothing wrong if they want it that way
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 16, 2020, 02:17:15 PM
It's your decision after all. Bitcoin is a good choice now that we're seeing a good news on bitcoin's price but just want to tell that don't be afraid of investing in altcoins. They also have a future but you just have to choose the best altcoins among all those altcoins about there. Personally, bitcoin is safer but don't doubt altcoins. Choosing some new altcoin is also fine but you have to choose what you think have a future in the market.
88  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Kahalagahan ng Trading Psychology on: January 16, 2020, 10:33:38 AM
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rapper Akon kicks off construction for world's first "crypto city" on: January 15, 2020, 03:58:13 PM
Things like this are possible if there's someone who really wants to make it into a real thing. And Akon is doing a great job, doing what he likes while also promoting cryptocurrency in their place. I just hope that this "Akon City" will not only benefit him from investing to his coin, but it's much better if the community, people, and even his country could benefit from what he's making. If this will make a great impact to Africa, there's a higher possibility that they can adopt crypto but if it will only benefit him, I don't know...
90  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire on: January 15, 2020, 02:13:43 PM
But are you sure that the citizen's wage are going to be invested in cryptocurrency? And wages doesn't work just like that. It's not the government who is responsible for people being rich!! We make our own ways to be rich if we want to. Wages are different based on their knowledge and skills. People were being paid for the job they have done. Most of the bigger salary are to those who were being paid for their skills. Government can't just increase all wages if it doesn't fit for their work.
Ika nga diba, acceptance is the key. Be smart when it comes to trading, wag puro emotions.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 67,1% of micro businesses do not know what cryptocurrencies are. on: January 15, 2020, 07:03:58 AM
It's not necessary for small businesses to learn crypto. Different countries also have different views on cryptocurrency that's why this data could be a lot different from other countries. Small businesses were used to traditional system with fiat. If they don't really have the initiative to learn cryptocurrency, then don't expect that they will understand it. And in fact, small businesses only have small transactions from their customer and fiat is easier to use with small amount transactions than crypto.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain Usage In Mainstream Examples on: January 14, 2020, 02:10:06 PM
I can't enumerate each and everyone since I am not always updated at every business who adopted blockchain since a lot of things happened from the previous year. But what I can ensure it that from the fields you have stated, I'm sure there's an adoption and implementation that happened. Slowly by slowly, blockchain technology adoption is getting wider across different field and countries. This year, we're getting more to mainstream
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest crypto mystery still revolves around Satoshi’s identity on: January 14, 2020, 12:30:53 PM
the worst part is that there has not been anything new for at least half a decade. everything is the repetition of all that has been rehashed a million times.

This is actually the best part, because it means that Satoshi has hid himself really well, and I truly hope that he will never be uncovered, unless he himself decides to reveal himself. Privacy is one of the main values of the cypherpunk movement, so true bitcoiners should respect Satoshi's privacy instead of trying to deanonymize him like some people do.
He really did great hiding his identity. He left no trace at all for people to find him. For the whole decade, he was able to hide his true self. Maybe it was also hard for the part of him tht the others are taking advantage of what he created and claiming as Satoshi. Revealing himself could have make an impact to the whole crypto community.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Solves This: Bill Gates Talks About the US Wealth Gap on: January 14, 2020, 10:19:18 AM
I don't get why the article included Bitcoin in the discussion. It's not even part of the first discussion. It's all about Bill Gates saying that rich people should pay more tax including them than the poorer one which I can agree. But what's the correlation of wealth gap to Bitcoin by the way? Would it solve the problem? No. Bitcoin wasn't made to solve wealth gap problems of a country.
96  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [NEWS UPDATE]Japan and Philippines Initiate and Discuss Crypto Laws on: January 14, 2020, 08:36:19 AM
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are giving too much attention on the halving on: January 13, 2020, 03:46:31 PM
It's normal for us to discuss halving. Everyone's expecting on it. Although we shouldn't give too much expectations. But since on the previous halving it cause a positive effect on Bitcoin, we cannot just disregard that it can also happen again.  Even though we keep on talking about halving, we're still promoting Bitcoin. We've been promoting Bitcoin ever since. We're all dreaming the same dream for Bitcoin. Mass adoption.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you define Blockchain Technology in a single phrase? on: January 13, 2020, 02:35:59 PM
If I were to define it in a single phrase, it would be "An underrated technology". Because blockchain technology is still underrated until now. We still need more recognition from people before we can finally make use of its advancement and benefits. This technology can give us more and can help us in a lot of ways yet they are still sleeping on blockchain.
99  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [PHILIPPINES NEWS] Taal Volcano Alert Level 4 already based on Phivolcs Advisory on: January 13, 2020, 01:48:29 PM
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Iran again want to make some dirty things on: January 12, 2020, 06:34:30 AM
today I read the news that Iran has warned about "more serious revenge" against the United States. such statements are not some kind of joke and what exactly they can do?  Huh I believe that 2020 began very poorly if you look at it from a political point of view.
If the disagreements between the US and Iran will continue, this could end badly. How will this news affect the market? can they start to sharply raise bitcoin at the price? if bitcoin will grow fast, then altcoins will be even worse  Angry
Before they can make actions against US, they have to deal with their people first. As far as I know, Iranians are protesting about the current situation and they do not want war.
Ain't a good start for 2020 but this leads for the price to pump. This disagreement between the two will lead to a pump for the price of bitcoin.  There's still no action made against each other but they can be preparing for it, as well those people who are preparing and investing in crypto to secure their money.
