201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Spouses and Divorce on: December 14, 2019, 04:35:51 PM
It won't be a pressure even if your wife or girlfriend knew about you holding bitcoin if she understand you. She doesn't have to know everything related about Bitcoin if she's not interested but if she really loves him, she won't pressure him. Cause obviously, it looks like she just want or got blinded by money that's why she wants him to cash everything out.
If you don't agree with your wife you're free not to follow her. It's your decision after all as well as fighting with each other. If you will just explain to her why you can't cash it all out she might understand. And I don't believe that you shouldn't tell your partner about crypto. It's like you're keeping a secret to her... It's not good for a relationship.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of bringing Bitcoin to non-crypto users on: December 14, 2019, 03:23:42 PM
I suggest that also a good way to bring crypto to more people is by starting to target people who most likely to engage in this kind of activities. For example, in a university, bringing knowledge to those who can relate to it like computer-related courses like IT. Providing them talks, or seminar that can encourage them to discover more about crypto. Another example is to target people who only stays at home who wants to work through online. That's one thing to spread Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to non-user easily. Start with people who may find it interesting.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is a better alternative to Bitcoin and why not use it? on: December 14, 2019, 02:16:31 PM
When it comes to topics like this, the answer always is : If you think xyz currency is better than Bitcoin then use it. Don't create a FUD or propaganda around it. You need the community's support to take the coin to the next level and without the support, your coin is going nowhere. No one forced people to use bitcoin, they just did because it is a standard now.
This kind of topic is actually very subjective to answer.  If someone thinks that this cryptocurrency is better that bitcoin for him, it doesn't mean that everyone can see it also that way. It still depends on each everyone's experience on that coin.
Personally, Bitcoin is still the best for me so far. I'm not saying other crypto is not but I'm just satisfied with bitcoin.
204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Twitter CEO and pro-Bitcoiner Jack Dorsey strikes again! on: December 13, 2019, 01:31:51 PM
I've been seeing for quite time that he's really into cryptocurrency. I've seen some new about him doing various activities regarding crypto and also saying positive comments about it. I find it actually a good thing that he is also part of us who sees the value of bitcoin. But of course he wouldn't invest such time publicizing his positive view on cryptocurrency if he's not into something. Though it's still vogue for me to visualize what he is planning about that decentralized standard for social media
205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I forgot the password from wallet.dat 18.2 BTC on: December 13, 2019, 12:49:45 PM
Things like this should be kept safe such as emails, passwords, and important accounts. Maybe you have a lot of accounts in different platform that's why you forgot it, the best solution to avoid this thing is to keep a note with all your accounts in it. Important thing should be a priority not to forget.
Since it's your account, you're also capable of accessing it. Just try to remember you password. If you use same password to some accounts, then you can try it.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to gift Bitcoin this Christmas (+cool Bitcoin gift ideas) on: December 13, 2019, 12:17:02 PM
It is really great to receive bitcoin as a gift. If someone is willing to give me bitcoin as a gift, I would love to. But me giving bitcoin as a gift is still a 50:50 choice for me  depending on the person I will give one. Because I wouldn't bother to give people who doesn't know bitcoin because they might end up not appreciating my gift. And I won't bother teach everyone I'll be giving just for them to understand it. Unless they are willing to learn...
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can be done to stop loss sending to wrong bitcoin address on: December 13, 2019, 11:30:00 AM
Checking address four or five times before sending anything, with no rush
It is indeed one of the thing we should do but sometimes people are just too lazy to even double check the addresses before sending it. SO if they loses their bitcoin because of the wrong address, they'll come asking for help what to do and how to get their bitcoin back. But if you really just check it before hand, you wouldn't lose bitcoin. The problem is that we become so confident because we don't lose bitcoin that's why we also become careless sometimes.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of the current status of Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2019, 10:17:08 AM
Looking at the positive side, bitcoin is currently growing that some countries are now starting to recognize and studying about blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. Sooner or later, they might start working on adopting it. Though on the contrary, along side with its continuous grow, hacking and scamming is also increasing. They're creating more ways on scamming people. If more people adopts and move into crypto, bad people will also do the same.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Experience of A Bitcoin User on: December 12, 2019, 02:25:42 PM
The main thing to remember is that only licensed software should be installed on the computer. The sites you visit, you should also check, for example on this service https://www.virustotal.com Also, to interact with your cryptocurrency assets, it is better to use a separate computer, which will be designed only for work.
True. Opening unknown and suspicious links can really make you vulnerable for hacking. If you know you have important files and such on your PC or phone, you should always be careful installing and downloading apps and links. It's not always about being careful in copying and pasting addresses, we should prevent viruses from getting into our pc/cp.
210  Local / Pilipinas / Re: "Development" and "Improvement" of the Society: Discussion about Blockchain. on: December 12, 2019, 12:17:02 PM
Sa aking pag tingin hindi naman natin ganun talaga kailangan ang "talks" or "seminars" about crypto or blockchain at the moment. Yes it can spread awareness sa bansa and it has the potential to make individuals be innovative on developing their own crypto or patent blockchain but this is just the future and matagal tagal pa bago natin makikita yung fruits nito and by that time naunahan na tayo ng ibang bansa sa industriya na ito. If we really want crypto mass adoption to happen in our country I think the best way is to advocate our support towards it para naman makita or mapansin tayo ng gobyerno natin na malakas demand para sa crypto industry, pag nakuha natin supporta nila tiyak na dudumugin tayo ng mga crypto related businesses hindi lang sa CEZA nagfofocus, kalaunan nun mga local businesses na din ang mag-aaccept ng Bitcoin pag nagtagal.
Talks and seminars are ways na din para maging aware ang mga tao about cryptocurrency. Especially young people na I believe ay sila– tayo din ang makikinabang in the future.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Italy is now anti-cash and pro-Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2019, 10:49:53 AM
There is nothing stated that they are into cryptocurrency or the government of Italy is a pro-bitcoin. They're just limiting the use of paper cash in their country. I don't know the reason, I am not from that country but maybe they're just aiming to adopt cashless transactions. Maybe a part of innovation in their country? I also don't think it's appropriate to call it as a war on cash since it's still their own currency. I mean, why would they fight on themselves?
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Bitcoin scampany got rekt! on: December 12, 2019, 09:59:09 AM
Ponzi scheme has been around since before, it's just a good thing that the US Government is taking actions on  things like this. They're arresting ponzi. It's good for cryptocurrency users, the government is preventing them to scam more people. Though it's a pity for those who already got scammed... At least they were able to get arrested. We can't really stop people like this, unless they got busted. That's why should also learn to avoid and not to fall with schemes.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Reasons Why Bitcoin Is Strong Today And Will Continue To Grow on: December 12, 2019, 06:07:41 AM
Nothing against your list. It is indeed true that because of those things listed above, Bitcoin is stronger and will even grow bigger. Me, myself believe that Bitcoin become strong like this, because of us. Because we believe and we know the importance of Bitcoin to us. That because of our growing population, Bitcoin is slowly becoming unstoppable. We always praise Bitcoin, but we're forgetting about ourselves. Appreciate yourself for trusting Bitcoin even in its lowest.
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fight against Bitcoin is coming. Are we ready?! on: December 11, 2019, 07:34:28 PM

I'm amazed how some Bitcoin users love to invent all kind of conspiracy theories and always talk about some kind of war against Bitcoin or Bitcoin users.
In real life that is not true at all and not every event or news should be interpreted like it's pointed against Bitcoin, that is wrong attitude.
I don't even think what OP said will ever happen... Well I've seen a lot of thread like this. Maybe they're just really worried what others will do to Bitcoin. But the thing is not all people in the position will even care about cryptocurrencies. I can't blame them if they think this way but I hope we reduce overthinking about everything because Bitcoin will still remain there no matter how hard they will try to stop it.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Trust Libra Coin With Your Money? on: December 11, 2019, 05:26:01 PM
Since Libra is from Facebook and Facebook is already a trusted social media, so I think that it's fine to trust on Libra. But personally, I don't think I'll invest on Libra cause I prefer decentralized and Bitcoin more... Though I might still change my mind in the future...

Investment has nothing to do with trusting the crypto coin. You don't need to trust the Libra Coin before investing in it.
I do believe that trust is still needed in investing. Because why would you invest on a coin you don't trust? Why would you risk your money on a coin you don't trust?
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good advice or bad advice? on: December 11, 2019, 04:23:46 PM
I wouldn't term it as a good or bad advice because of a simple reason - destiny! I strongly believe that destiny drives us all and if destiny says that I will die as a billionaire, I will become one! We as a commoner, don't know how and when a coin will reach its ATH and we wouldn't know when to sell it off to book profit!
I don't think it's purely destiny. Because you create your own destiny. If you work harder, you can die as a billionaire. It's not like you'll become a billionaire without efforts. Yes we don't knows what will happen to a coin for the coming days, months, and years. But if we think carefully and wise enough with our actions in selling coins, we can earn bigger profit than might even lead us to be a billionaire.

If you know how it works, we just to be smart about our decisions with our coins for a better result
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: please help me about bitcoin atm! SCAM or No on: December 10, 2019, 04:20:40 PM
The ATM is not a scam. It's your "friend". You're just confusing... Others might think ATMs are scams. Though I haven't tried one but it's the person who's obviously a scam. Maybe he's just taking advantage because he knew that you don't know much about this kind of things. So don't fall for it!! Why would you send bigger money for you to receive a smaller amount of money? even if he sends you $30, and you sent him $700, you obviously lost $670.
218  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoin is enough? on: December 10, 2019, 03:09:44 PM
Don't just set limits on earning Bitcoin. Do the best you can, work hard to earn more. I know we're expecting in to reach all-time high price but while we're waiting for that, let's earn more Bitcoin. Since we're still not sure how Bitcoin price will do, don't just be contented with a certain amount of Bitcoin. As long as your capable of earning more.
Personally, I don't set certain amount... I hold what I can hold.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypt is now legal in Ukraine on: December 10, 2019, 02:07:33 PM
It is good that slowly by slowly, cryptocurrency is being accepted by different countries. But what I am afraid of is that we never know what will happen in the long run. What if these governments will abuse crypto years after legalizing crypto? I am not against legalization, in fact I am happy but it just makes me think about the other possibilities that we might encounter.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Gold Became Money and How Bitcoin Can Become Money on: December 09, 2019, 02:24:06 PM
I don't think Bitcoin will ever be money or legal tender. I think it acts better as a store of value digital asset. I think that the current monetary financial system in place isn't going to go anywhere anytime soon. I'm thankful for them even allowing Bitcoin to thrive a little, because in order to kill Bitcoin, you simply ban crypto trades against fiat, and the system and watch the market deflate. But this isn't the issue, they are playing it safe for now!
Bitcoin can be an alternative. It is more possible than being the main currency. Just like gold, Bitcoin have value that can be treasured and store for the future. Even though I want Bitcoin to be accepted widely, it's still hard to believe that crypto can be the main use for transactions.
Just like what I have mentioned, they don't have to become a money as long as they have value, that's already enough.
