421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where To Spen Bitcoins? Full List. on: October 19, 2019, 07:26:34 AM
That's really great to see a lot of businesses now are offering and accepting bitcoin payment. But I was looking for a physical store that accepts bitcoin since most of it are digital and online store. It would be better to promote bitcoin if a physical store or shop would also offer crypto payments. Also here in my country, I haven't seen one, or a shop that accepts bitcoin although crypto are not being restricted here.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Cafe on: October 19, 2019, 06:29:29 AM
One good thing about this cafe is that although they cannot use bitcoin for payments since it is banned, they were still able to find another way to promote bitcoin. Though it's kinda funny promoting bitcoin as a country who can't use it as well. What's the point of promotion? The thing is, there are possible foreign customers they can target with the promotion and also it's like an indirect rally against banning of bitcoin in their country.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will Be 1M$ if all countries Ban it on: October 19, 2019, 04:26:38 AM
If all countries would ban bitcoin, then it'll be hard for everyone to hold and trade with bitcoin. Its value might increase but only few will be able to hold bitcoin. What's the point of holding bitcoin if it's now illegal? It depends if you're willing to do illegal things.
More possible to happen when they ban bitcoin, its value with decrease since a lot of people would stop using it. It's a crisis for bitcoin.
424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 bitcoin risks you should know when investing in bitcoin on: October 18, 2019, 05:02:25 PM
In my opinion, security and fraud risks are the biger factor as of now (Based on my country, I don't know about the others since our government ain't that strict). And more scammers will definitely emerged. Cryptocurrency may sound so risky (yes it is), but you don't have to be afraid if you know you can handle all those risks.
425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is never going to be extinct on: October 18, 2019, 03:18:35 PM
Bitcoin is never going to be extinct
I believe its consensus will be higher and higher in the future.
Same thought with you. But just to add more of my thoughts, in the next few years bitcoin will gain more exposure and acknowledgement. More people will get into crypto after discovering how it can help them. But what's not we really sure is the life time of bitcoin. I can say that for the next years bitcoin will be stronger but the limit is, we don't know for how long? I still do believe bitcoin only have limited time of dominating the market, time will come that others will lead. Same with your topic, bitcoin will not literally extinct but others might leave bitcoin for other crypto. That the popularity of bitcoin will lose... But I'm positive that bitcoin will remain for a longer time!
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to Bring Water to Ethiopia on: October 18, 2019, 02:27:18 PM
It's really awesome to see cryptocurrency being used for donations and charities to help people around the world. Cryptocurrency were already given a bad image because of illegal activities and these kind of ways are great to bring the positive image of cryptocurrency to the public and to stop their wrong thinking about crypto being used only for crimes. I really appreciate those people who initiate these kind of activities and those who support and donate, I salute y'all. Are there any fund raising donations for the environment as well? 'Cause it's really a great movement.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The top 5 countries are ‘paradise’ for cryptocurrencies on: October 18, 2019, 01:43:32 PM
I definitely agree with your list. I don't know much when it comes to other countries, how they view and act with regards to cryptocurrencies but what I can mention hwre is my own country, Philippines. Philippines may not be that big when it comes to adoption and innovation of cryptocurrency but ph is a crypto friendly country. You can use crypto for payment like utility bills and etc. There are shops that are also starting to accept bitcoin and other coins. We don't have such big crypto related companies that are based here in the ph but if small businesses would give chance for crypto, more Filipinos could learn about it. I just hope in the future that more merchants and entities will accept crypto here in my country
428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin can not become a global currency on: October 18, 2019, 12:39:03 PM
Even with or without anonymity, bitcoin is still far from being a global currency. Why? Because it is decentralized, it would be hard for the government to control its flow in their country if every one in the world uses bitcoin. I see bitcoin as an alternative currency which can be used globally but not as the main currency. Not only with that, there are other factors that need to be considered why it'll be hard for bitcoin to be a global currency.
About money laudering, it's an advantage for the criminal since it'll be hard to locate them. But just like with fiat, money laundering are still everywhere.
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto - Creator of Bitcoin on: October 18, 2019, 04:32:30 AM
We don't know who the real Satoshi is, but what we know is that Satoshi and his creation pave the way for a great adoption of cryptocurrency. Since there's a lot of people claiming to be Satoshi, yet no one can give enough proof to prove it, it's up to us individually whom we want to believe. If you want to believe they're Satoshi or if you don't want to believe, it's up to you. Almost everyone is still looking for him though he doesn't want to be found.
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half of the airport’s workstations infected with a crypto mining software on: October 18, 2019, 01:25:55 AM
This kind of illegal activity can't be stopped unless they got arrested. But surely, other people would also do the same. What's really sad is that they're damaging the image of crypto. It's a big damage to crypto since they're targeting big company and industry. Companies should always be careful with this kind of things since just like what the airport worries, it can cause physical damage to the people in the airport if they would access to their system. That's why companies have their ITs to help them with this things and other digital issues.

We can't help it, the more cryptocurrency is getting recognition, the more people are taking it for granted even if it means oppressing others.
431  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: People Empowerment on: October 17, 2019, 04:00:21 PM
What power are you pertaining that we need to get back? A power that could stop the banks and governments to control over our assets and economy? We already have the power. In a democratic country, we already have a power and freedom to ourselves but that freedom is still limited. Yes, central banks and the government have more privilege and power than the normal citizens, but we gave them that power to rule and manage us for the better.  Thus, I don't think that governments will let us have fully control over the economy no matter how much we try. because they will make way for them to still control everything.

Aside from volatility, what are the biggest obstacles for Bitcoin to be adopted on a global scale?
People who are using bitcoin. Other already sees volatility as a negative factor of bitcoin and in addition, there are people who are using bitcoin for something unethical and wrong doings which adds more doubt and fear to them in trusting bitcoin.
432  Economy / Economics / Re: Millennial generation are screwed! on: October 17, 2019, 02:57:37 PM
Can crypto make millennial more screwed or otherwise? Let’s discuss!
You cannot generalize every millennial. Most may do such things like focusing on video games but not all millennials are like that, It would still depend on every individual may be it a millennial or not, if they're going to let crypto affect their lives in a darker side or a brighter side. If I'm not wrong, millennials are from early 1980s up to 2000s. So we can conclude that  a lot of them were still studying who still have no bigger savings. Others are still too young to know the essence of bitcoin and cryptocurrency. But we cannot conclude already that millennials are screwed since they (we) are the one who's going to spread awareness on bitcoin in the future.
433  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Pekeng Bitcointalk forum on: October 17, 2019, 02:06:18 PM
Lets' all be aware and help each other to avoid this kind of modus. Thankyou for sharing this with us OP
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and kiddie porn on: October 17, 2019, 12:30:04 PM
It's very disappointing at the side of bitcoin and cryptocurrency. These kind of illegal activities harm and give negative image to bitcoin. They're just making bitcoin bad at peoples' eyes by using crypto for their dirty deeds. People like them are very disgusting! They're sexually abusing minors and even selling it for money? It's on of the reason why some government oppose to crypto because of the people like them
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency in the next financial crisis on: October 16, 2019, 03:28:11 PM
We're not going back to the stone age era. Even if we experience financial crisis, we ain't going back to that era because that's very different from today. The government may find something that'll solve the problem and crypto can be an option to that. If a certain country experienced that situation, its allies would help them right??

But let's look at the situation in Venezuela where they're having a crisis, they aren't really adopting crypto that much...
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What needs to happen in order for bitcoin to replace gold on: October 16, 2019, 12:30:23 PM
Who said that bitcoin will replace gold? There's nothing need to be done cause we aint replacing gold. Both of then will exist together in our society. Both of them are good store value, but the thing is bitcoin is very volatile compare to gold. As a way of payment, bitcoin can be use for payment but we're now in the modern era, golds are rarely used for payment. So I see them as a veey different asset so bitcoin don't need to replace gold at all.
437  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Role of crypto (enthusiasts) in the increasing PH cashless transactions on: October 16, 2019, 10:27:46 AM
438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Legality effect on: October 16, 2019, 09:30:40 AM
If bitcoin will be legally accepted by different countries, it doesn't really mean fiat will no longer exist. Fiat os already a part of the economy and people are used to having fiat circulating around. It'll be hard for everyone to adopt this changes so it's reall hard to believe that they will remove fiat. If bitcoin achieve legality, I think the effects are on bitcoin itself. It'll have regulations that can limit and help us with regards to crypto.
I wish I was born earlier para matured na thinking ko noon.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you know about Bitcoin before becoming a bitcoiner? on: October 15, 2019, 10:26:09 AM
I've been hearing 'bitcoin' before but didn't really care about since I don't even know what that is and some are even saying bitcoin were being used with criminal activities so at first I thought it was something illegal, bad, and even in deep web. That's why I don't really gave attention to it but  a friend of mine introduced me to it and the slowly I started learning bitcoin. Not only bitcoin but also other cryptocurrency.
