161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra coin alive or dead? on: December 28, 2019, 01:13:43 PM
There was a rapid growth in bitcoin price in last 2-3 months when it was announced Facebook is going to launch its own coin, called libra coin,
Now its already in cold store, due to US and EU agencies interference.

I saw in coin market cap, its only general information about libra coin, but no technical data is available yet.

It's normal for Libra to make noise when it was first announced to the public. Of course it's from Facebook, a popular social media. That's just a normal response but since until now Libra hasn't been launched yet, there's no much noise. Crypto users are just focusing on their coins. But when Libra finally got launched, expect it to make noise again. Expect to be hearing a lot of news about Libra. And with that, we will see how well it'll do in the market.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there formula for bitcoin price ? on: December 27, 2019, 05:56:32 PM
It doesn't really mean that those formula about supply and demand will all work with Bitcoin. Maybe there is but we haven't just discovered it yet. 'Cause if there's actually an accurate formula for bitcoin's price, then everyone should've know the exact price it could reach. Then some professional wouldn't make predictions about bitcoin price.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube admits error over Bitcoin video purge on: December 27, 2019, 05:10:25 PM
Where could I see the official statement of YouTube about the mistake they made about the removal of various crypto related videos? I only saw about the copyright thing.
Nevertheless, I still prefer YouTube because it's a huge platform and much easier to promote. Almost everyone is watching on YouTube unlike the other decentralized platforms. Especially for those who wants to learn about crypto, they could just search it on YouTube because compared to other, they might not know about other existing platform where they can also watch crypto videos.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] YouTube Is Censoring Crypto Content, Channel Owners Say on: December 27, 2019, 03:47:53 PM
Since it's been a topic for days, I've looked at the terms and conditions of YouTube. One reason for them to remove a video is if it includes scam. Though there are various ways to scam people. And I don't think some videos that got deleted was trying to scam people. But it also says that if YouTube removed a video, they'll be sending them a message through email. I think with that, they can clarify why their videos got deleted.
If ever video creators will move to other sites, I don't think it'll receive much attention like YouTube since YouTube is such a famous site.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is wrong with altcoins on: December 27, 2019, 02:57:05 PM
Nothing is definitely wrong with altcoins. But not all altcoins. Of course there are shitcoins. But there are a lot of altcoins there who's doing well and have great potential to do well in the future. But we cannot remove that some altcoin are just following Bitcoin.
We all have our own opinion with altcoins. If others don't like altcoin, then let them
166  Local / Pilipinas / Re: 🔥 🔥The BITCOIN Market Psychology (Nakakaurat minsan) Sad but True🔥 🔥 on: December 26, 2019, 04:13:51 PM

167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Many big powers agains crypto on: December 26, 2019, 03:28:56 PM
Maybe because YouTube is growing so much that a lot of people are going to YouTube to be a vlogger or something so maybe YouTube is being more strict to prevent inappropriate things to happen. We all know that crypto community is more prone to crimes like scams and etc. I hope that this won't start a move against crypto because YouTube is actually a good platform in learning the basics about crypto. I started watching lessons on YT.
168  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Pano kaya kung si satoshi ay active pa on: December 26, 2019, 12:56:11 PM
Mukhang sobrang layo pa  bago mangyari yaang iniisip mo.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would a Crypto Based Economy Make Things Safer? on: December 25, 2019, 03:13:54 PM
A safer community? I don't think so. First thing is that everything has a negative side. In crypto, crimes can still occur. If we're going to adopt a crypto based community, all criminals will move to cyber crimes which is not safe. Fair financial market? It can still be controlled even in digital. I just think that whatever we use, fiat or crypto, things won't be fair. The advantages are still at the higher class. Even if we try so hard to digitalize things, they could still create ways that'll favor them. Even with crypto there's no assurance of safety.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme, then fiat is a get poor slow scheme on: December 25, 2019, 02:10:31 PM
Fiat will be replaced by crypto currency but i dont think it will be bitcoin. Government want to control everything and even fiat money , bitcoin cant control by the governement so  they will create thier own and will use blockchain technology to make a new way of payment before fiat currency fall.
The government will just end up adopting cryptocurrency in the future but instead of adopting existing decentralized crypto like bitcoin who is really dominating the crypto market, they'll just create their own. That's a very obvious move by the government. They won't allow decentralized to dominate on their country so they will just make their own cryptocurrency where they can still control it
171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a global reserve currency? on: December 24, 2019, 11:06:54 AM
The world's reserve currency right now is usd. Even other currency are having a hard time compete with usd. So bitcoin being the global reserve currency is quite far from reality. Even other countries won't agree with that. It's more realistic to think that bitcoin can be an alternative currency for other countries, but not as a global reserve.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Can I pay in Bitcoin here?" - go and ask this each time you pay something! on: December 23, 2019, 03:23:02 PM
I've seen same thread like this before. I really find it interesting asking people at the counter cause it's like a new idea to promote Bitcoin. However I don't think they will bother to research about it just because a single customer asked about it. If you're going to ask every shop you go to, that's a lot. But with the worker's point of view, it won't matter because only one customer asked about it. I'm not destroying the idea, I'm just saying other situation that could happen
173  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin will replace money sa aking palagay ganeto ang mangyayari on: December 23, 2019, 01:47:10 PM
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My New Year Resolution For Bitcointalk on: December 23, 2019, 01:07:36 PM
One of the best suggestions. I think the moderator will think of ways to select the Bounty project that open Bounty in the bitcointalk forum. maybe an option that needs to be applied in a case like this like Escrow or an investigator to check a bounty project. some BM have worked quite well in managing the bounty project. we wait for the policy of the moderator.
this is a public forum, the moderator will always keep their neutrality. their job is clearing and preventing the spammer and maintaining the forum. you can not expect more than, there are a thousand of thread created daily. it is already hard for them to do this, let alone filtering and managing bounty that consumes a lot of time and effort to do that.
Yeah. It's not easy as well to handle the forum with a lot of members already. We also have our responsibilities if we want to avoid scam projects. We should make prior research before believing on a project. We don't need to rely on the moderators too much about this kind of issue because being a moderator is a big responsibility already. But it's also good to be open for suggestions so the forum will be more organized in the future.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker: Sentenced two year suspended jail term, & six-month electronic curfew on: December 22, 2019, 05:27:28 PM
Young ages are becoming more into hacking nowadays, I don't know why. But wrong is still wrong.
I do not think so. I think it is a proper judgment for a young man. He is a talented person, if the sentence is too heavy, it can ruin a talent in their country. With this judgment, after it is over, they can completely summon him and use his talents for any other plan. The law should be strict, but it should also be flexible to be able to take advantage of people like him.
Talented indeed but he used his talent in a wrong way! That's still a crime that needs to be punished. Just because a person is skilled enough that doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve a heavy punishment. You don't want to ruin a single person's talent but that person can ruin the country! No matter what kind a person is, if he did something wrong he is responsible for paying back. Skill is nothing without a good characteristics. A person can learn that skill but it's hard to teach a person to be good. There's still a lot of talented people with a pure intention out there that the government can use
176  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: December 22, 2019, 04:05:58 PM
Although I highly doubt that, but since it's a 'what if' then probably we'll just have to stick with paper money. No crypto, then fiat is our only means of payment, excluding gold. If all crypto suddenly become obsolete, then all of our efforts will be worthless. Feeling frustrated since we've worked for it and in just a day, everything becomes worthless...
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Says Blockstream Hacked Him to Forge Documents on: December 21, 2019, 03:29:08 PM
he actually tells anything to take guilty away from him
Yeah right. Since we're talking about drama, Craig Wright is like an actor who wants more attention and just want to play the role of victim. That he's trying so hard to be a victim. Yet no matter how much he makes conflict and dramas, the ending will just be the same. He's just someone who is claiming to be Satoshi who didn't succeed.
178  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Cebu City for digital nomads on: December 21, 2019, 12:34:20 PM
Cebu is fine if you want to live there. I haven't been in Cebu myself but it's a big city and also a lot of foreigners are residing and having vacation in Cebu since they find as one of the beautiful places in the Philippines. Though the internet is not that fast compared to other countries. Well the internet in the Philippines as a whole, is a problem by most local citizens here. So I guess, you'll have to get used to it dealing with the internet connection.
179  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anung dapat nating tandaan, at dapat maging maingat ngaung darating na pasko on: December 21, 2019, 11:31:56 AM
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: December 21, 2019, 10:43:33 AM
Even it is a good thing that they were able to caught the suspect, it still bothers me. Because it's a teen! Meaning all ages with enough knowledge, they can really do bad things for their own. 19 is still a young age yet me manage to steal big amount of money. It only means that cryptocurrency hacking are growing, even young age can do it. The more it grows, the lesser the possibility that the government will approve the idea of cryptocurrency. How can we achieve mass adoption when news like this can grow fud to other people?
