61  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Millionnaire mind : Paano Yumaman? on: January 24, 2020, 02:04:29 PM
Pero there's nothing wrong about that. Kaya dapat lang talaga na we aim higher. Hindi lang dapat tayo makuntento as workers kung gusto talaga nating yumaman.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. What is the main factor that boosts Altcoin value? Popularity or Tech? on: January 24, 2020, 01:11:03 PM
If we're talking about altcoin, it will be tchnology first before popularity. It's the technology that boosts the popularity of altcoins. And when altcoins gain more popular, it leads to a pump with altcoin's price. It's the technology that helps altcoin to receive attention because of the advancement and innovation. Because if not for technology, why do you think altcoin will get popular?
63  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you find out about Bitcointalk? on: January 24, 2020, 11:43:59 AM
It was a friend who introduced me to bitcointalk. The one who also introduced me about cryptocurrency. At first I really have no idea what cryptocurrency is and even its existence. But when a friend of mine told me about cryptocurrency and blockchain I was still confused because it's not easy to understand at first so he told me about this forum. He told me to read some threads in order to learn something even the basic one.
64  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advantages of having an account on bitcointalk on: January 24, 2020, 07:23:31 AM
I guess everyone of us started here in cryptocurrency with no or limited knowledge only. And bitcointalk is really helpful to everyone. You can share information, experience, and gain new knowledge while interacting with other crypto users. You can also be friends with them. As for my experience, I've learned a lot by mostly reading here in the forum. There's also a lot of other sections that you can explore and discover.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it still possible to invent certain Altcoin that can be better than Bitcoin? on: January 23, 2020, 03:28:26 PM
There are different factors when we say something is better. There are altcoins that are better when it comes to technicalities. And obviously more altcoin will emerge trying to be better than Bitcoin and providing what is lacking in Bitcoin. I think that's the reason why there's altcoin. They're trying to give more of what Bitcoin can give. But Bitcoin will remain as it is. It will still dominate the crypto market and new altcoins can not easily replace Bitcoin's place in the market.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As expected THE LIAR, CLOWN 'John McAfee' backs down from $1M claim on: January 23, 2020, 11:13:54 AM

We never believe him when he said BTC will be $1M anyway, I seriously think there is no reason to also believe he will swallow his dick on tv. You can just ignore him when it comes to speculation now that we know he exaggerate his predictions and now he also post fud. He recently said its an ancient technology anymore which you can think of it like he didn't understood BTC  at all.
I also don't believe that bitcoin will reach $1million at the end of 2020. I'm anticipating what will he do at the end of the year but doesn't really expect him to eat his dick. That's gross. But what I'm anticipating if he's a man of his words. Though he looks like he is not. Rather than taking this man seriously, I just find him funny with what he's saying and how he will face everyone.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling milk tea for Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 09:32:24 AM
Milktea is a good choice of business. I'm guessing you're from the Philippines, milktea is very popular nowadays. Although competition with bigger brands in the mall is quite hard but I still prefer mall location than school. There's more possible customers than students. Not a lot of students knee about Bitcoin since most students are still not into investing and more likely to focus on school. However I also wonder if people would still choose to use crypto payments when the cost of their food isn't that big. But that's definitely a good idea not just for your family business, but also for promoting Bitcoin. And btw, just make sure that your parents have enough knowledge with crypto and Bitcoin and how to accept transactions. Because they'll be using it in their operating cycle.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Safe Haven for Your Money? on: January 23, 2020, 06:28:13 AM
Not really a safe haven for our money because of the volatility and the risk that Bitcoin encompass. Bitcoin is good for investment but doesn't mean that it assures our investment to grow and earn cause of higher risk. In the article is says that bitcoin is a safe haven in the context of war and recession. With unstable and unwanted things that can happen in the economy, their alternative is cryptocurrency which can really help to secure their money. But not all the time we can say that Bitcoin is a safe haven.
69  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese New Year - Crypto Market on: January 22, 2020, 04:25:28 PM
Chinese New Year can give a small impact on bitcoin's price but not for too long and not that big. Unlike with the traditional New year every 1st of January, not everyone are celebrating Chinese new year and the preparation is very different during Chinese new year. Especially outside Asia, I wonder if they also celebrate Chinese New Year that much.  However big Chinese investors can change the game but don't really expect that it will give too much impact.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me? on: January 22, 2020, 03:50:53 PM
I don't think scammers will get tired convincing peopel. If you're a scammer, you are willing to do all things to get what you want. If we're seeing a peacefulness here in forum, that's great but that doesn't mean that scammers are also decreasing generally. They can still scam outside the forum so don't be to careless.
And with the lesser scam projects, it's a good opportunity for everyone though.
71  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Decentralized Banking 🏦 on: January 22, 2020, 02:32:43 PM
Hindi naman pwede pakialamanan ang bank account mo without your consent and prior notice. Kasi pera mo yan eh, hindi sa kanila so hindi nila pwede galawin yan. Unless nag agree ka or kung ano man. If wala kang naaalalang kung anong agreement na pumayag or may pinirmahan ka, pwede ka naman magtanong and sabihin yung concern mo about dito at wag mong hayaan lang kung hindi mo naman gusto na every month ka nababawasan ng pera for this.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Stablecoins Promote the Mass Adoption of Cryptocurrencies? on: January 20, 2020, 02:56:12 PM
This can give some insights that cryptocurrency exist in a different way how stable coins perform. There is an option depending on how much risk they are able to take. A lesser risk or the risky one. And stable coins can be use as parking area when we need to think and rest in cryptocurrency volatility.
Absolutely. Stablecoins is still different however it can be a passage to bring people to cryptocurrency. Starting with stablecoin, they can gain knowledge there while they are still learning the environment. Not everyone is capable of adopting that fast with volatility. So I think stablecoin is a good start for those who are afraid of volatility and risk before going to the real thing in crypto. It can still bring an impact to the adoption of cryptocurrency.
73  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Okay. Charge tax on bitcoin. Is this fair policy? on: January 20, 2020, 02:17:21 PM
That's the way to legalized cryptocurrency on different countries. They won't legalize it if they can't get any benefits from it. And tax is something that we shouldn't avoid. We're also the one benefiting from the taxes we pay. The tax percentage is too much for me, but I think it would still depend on the amount of transactions. The government wouldn't just ask for 20% tax fixed, it might change depending on the transactions. I don't really know because there's no law and tax on crypto here in my country but the bill is already at the senate so sooner it can be legalized in my country.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market moves in like a mystery! on: January 20, 2020, 12:49:28 PM
Cryptocurrency has always been a mystery ever since. And sudden gains and loss are just a normal move in the price. So don't expect cause nobody really know what is the reason behind the movement. We can't say if this will take long and itlf it's organic or artificial but what I can say about this movement is that, it is a good start for 2020 and hoping that it will continue until the end of the year.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Poem on: January 20, 2020, 09:16:07 AM
That's a nice poem actually. Unlike other poems, it doesn't have nor need to be that difficult to understand. Simple words are enough to discuss and say what you wanted to say about Bitcoin. Through poem you have shown the story how Bitcoin started. I think you just have to improve yourself in writing and expressing yourself. And also the rhyming of words. Try to be more expressive rather than just telling the story. You can tell the story with more feelings. There's always a room for improvement. But overall it's a good poem. I am not a genius with poems as well.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we now confirm that he's Faketoshi.? on: January 19, 2020, 09:35:43 AM
Already most of people predicted that the case will be going end like this, and it's becomes true now. because already few articles published about faketoshi do not have any private key what he claims before. we can expect official announcement from the court very soon regarding faketoshi do not have any proof to prove.

There's no other ending that I can see aside from being a laughingstock of others because he failed of proving himself as Satoshi. Now he's famous for being a faketoshi. I think that's fine, at least it has "toshi" at the end. Still close but will never be the real one. And do we really have a confirmation from the court when in the first place we already know that he's just another faketoshi.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought this stuff with Bitcoin, great way for people to become aware of Bitcoin on: January 18, 2020, 03:19:35 PM
Yes it will help to let them be aware of bitcoin but it won't caught their attention. Not everyone will be interested because they can also buy those stuff using fiat. What will make them get interested if the stuff you bought using bitcoin is hard to find on other shop and can only be available using bitcoin. There are other ways to promote bitcoin aside form this. But this will only work if they know the importance of Bitcoin, it's easier to get their attention.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Thoughts on the World War 3 and its possible impacts on future? on: January 18, 2020, 11:05:52 AM
The more modernize we get, the more harmful it is for the economy and the people who will be affected. Unlike the previous wars that was like years years ago, today's defense and weapons are more powerful so it can really kill a lot of people. But with the current situation, I don't think world war 3 would happen because of their conflict. The tension isn't heating up as of the moment which is good to calm both parties. I just hope they are not planning and preparing for any other attacks.

Rather than war with different countries, we're now facing a war with the environment. And I don't think that Iran will really start the war. They are just a small country compared to US. and US won't start it either. A lot of American citizens Don want Trump and any wrong move from Trump he can be impeached from his position. So I see no war will happen.
79  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: I thought Hero Rank is impossible to reach[Half way there] on: January 18, 2020, 09:32:13 AM
Congrats in advance!
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities using Bitcoin today? on: January 18, 2020, 08:08:30 AM
We really need more celebrities and any other influential people to promote Bitcoin to the public. It will help a lot to recognize bitcoin. They are a great bridge to connect Bitcoin to the public. I've seen a foreign rapper, I forgot his name but what I've read is that he tweeted that he's also accepting Bitcoin for his products and services, which is actually great because in that situation, Bitcoin can be used for payment transactions. And I've recently heard about Akon having his own city involved with crypto.
