181  Economy / Economics / Re: How do manage portfolio efficiently while having a full time job? on: December 20, 2019, 01:48:02 PM
It's hard to multitask. Doing different things at the same time especially if you have a full time job outside crypto but you just need a proper and wise time management. But if you're still having a hard time, instead of short term, just do long term investment. I think you can manage your time properly with that. Also you have to know your priorities. If you're already doing it for a long time, you'll get used to it and you'll master how to allocate your time with things.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You selling to buy Xmas gifts or using bitcoins to buy Xmas gifts? on: December 20, 2019, 11:07:43 AM
I don't really give gifts that much during holidays. Only to selected people like my parents and siblings. Then the rest I don't give much gifts since I'm still a student and my other relatives don't expect me to have some gifts for them. But when buying gifts for my family, I just sell little bit of my hard earned money, of course it was also for them. Then buy them gifts.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting cryptocurrency through altcoin on: December 19, 2019, 02:41:18 PM
Yes, you can promote crypto through altcoins but since Bitcoin is dominating the crypto market, when you're introducing cryptocurrency to a non-user, Bitcoin is the easier example to explain things. Even people who don't have enough knowledge might heard the word Bitcoin before than altcoins, that's why when we say crypto, Bitcoin comes to our minds first. Then when they finally have an idea and basic knowledge, they can learn and discover altcoins.
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies: A (Crazy) Decade in Review on: December 19, 2019, 11:55:23 AM
This is a great summary for the history and important things happened with cryptocurrency through the years. And it's an honor and great opportunity for me to be part of this community. A decade had passed for Bitcoin, and even I was not a part of it since from the start, from the time I have joined crypto, I can say and really helped me a lot and made me realize a lot of things. Lessons, experience, and money is what I have earned here and it was also a fun and tough journey for everyone of us.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has this year Christmas favor your cryptocurrency portfolios? on: December 19, 2019, 06:51:45 AM
I couldn't hold it back any longer; as I have sold off my major portfolio because of Christmas celebration. This hold started from last year July, 2018 and now, couldn't hold them again as I have sell off my assets because of the pressure from the family members. After the sale of this asset this evening, I was perplexed as how much I just dumped, all in the name of Christmas.

What are your experience: positive or negative.
I am not against that you just want to give what makes your family happy but why would they pressure you just because it's Christmas? You should have told them the situation that it's not doing well so you can't give them much of what they are expecting. I'm sure they will understand. Christmas isn't just about giving material things... If you don't have other sources of income aside crypto, they should know that your budget is limited. But if you have a different job, you can use your income there to help you for your Christmas expenses. It's fine to sell some for special holidays but selling most of it because of family pressure, you will just end up thinking about it again and again.
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Is Key to the Mass Adoption of Crypto on: December 19, 2019, 05:59:24 AM
Online games are popular right now. Different ages also play online games and I believe that gaming can really catch people's attention especially that most gamers are millennials and still young. They can easily understand and adopt with technology and changes. What more if crypto would be used in games. I don't think it's the key, but it's a way to get closer to mass adoption. We just need someone who can create a game that uses crypto that is also addictive.
187  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin becoming a safehaven currency in Argentina on: December 19, 2019, 05:22:30 AM
It's proven that bitcoin really a safe haven against hyperinflation or failure governance.
A government that cannot maintain economic and political stability in the country is the one responsible for every loss and misery experienced by the community, hence people will choose to get the best way to overcome hardship including using cyptocurrency.
And that is one of the many reasons of why governments hate cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin, whenever a government finds itself facing economic problems they always employ the same solution which is to print as much currency as they want, and this is a very effective way to steal the wealth of their citizens.

But they cannot do this with bitcoin, if they print more currency then the price of bitcoin will just go up protecting all of those that are holding bitcoin from their manoeuvres and becoming a safe haven against inflation.
It was never a solution to print more money when they are facing economic problems. A government will never see it as a solution, because it will just create more problems and it will just drag the country's economy down.
Bitcoin becoming a safehaven to a country because citizens are finding ways to help them individually when their own currency is struggling to survive. Other country are also trying to move in Bitcoin just like Venezuela.
188  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin might be over but blockchain will live on: December 18, 2019, 02:49:49 PM
yes you are right op most people and the government would agree and support blockchain technology even if they don't like or reject bitcoin. and if someday bitcoin crashes blockchain technology will continue to develop because blockchain technology can be applied in all fields.
but i never thought bitcoin would crash i am sure bitcoin will be there for a long time. bitcoin already has a large fan and community so it won't be easy to fall and disappear.
Since Bitcoin first used blockchain technology, their names are already attached to each other and even if most government will accept blockchain technology, even if they don't like Bitcoin, it's hard to remove bitcoin's name when talking about blockchain technology. I can see that as long blockchain continue to be known and accepted, people's knowledge about crypto and bitcoin will also increase. Then Bitcoin will be more stronger.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mark Cuban hating on bitcoin... Watch this guy's response lol on: December 18, 2019, 01:10:13 PM
How come Bitcoin does not have intrinsic value when in fact, a lot of people are already investing in bitcoin even though they know there's a high level of risk? Just like him who's hating on Bitcoin, they just don't really know bitcoin that's why they can say such things. But in the end, I don't care what they're saying against bitcoin, I'll just continue what I'm doing, believing in bitcoin.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Do Women Want? More Educational Materials Before Investing in Bitcoin on: December 17, 2019, 05:19:20 PM
Does gender even matters in bitcoin? Let's say that right now that mostly men are investing in bitcoin but I can see that if more women discovered bitcoin, they will be more good at investing and handling their btc than men. Women can also be interested in bitcoin, we just need more adoption so they can be aware of bitcoin.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Enforcing government regulations on: December 17, 2019, 03:13:05 PM
Bitcoin, (Satoshi) already did it's (his) part making it decentralized. No government and third parties. Bitcoin already achieved that. It's just the government are the one trying to involve themselves with Bitcoin because they saw that it's succeeding with its goal being decentralized and having no regulations. They're just trying to stop it by using the law which the only advantage they have. But the so-called promise, was already fulfilled in the very first place.
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 Most Influential People In Crypto on: December 17, 2019, 02:17:11 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto not on the list? Cheesy

Thing is, people with the most influence are anonymous.

I personally know of 2-3 who pull most of the strings, yet they're not mentioned here
We all agree that Satoshi Nakamoto can be the number one on the list only if he is known. But since we don't personally have idea who Satoshi is, that's why he's not on the list. Influential people are the ones who can influence other and give big impact with his actions or words.
These people on the list are all successful in their lives and actively supporting and promoting Bitcoin to the public, and I guess that's the basis for the list of influential people in crypto.
193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin save U.S. from its rising national debt? on: December 16, 2019, 03:03:01 PM
I don't think so. Even Donald Trump isn't supportive about bitcoin so how come it'll be their solution? And I also believe that national debt is normal for a country, even the developed ones. As far as what my knowledge can give, debts are paid using citizen's money. Tax. The government itself know how to reduce and pay their debts without using cryptocurrency. It's just very contradicting for them to use Bitcoin in paying debts when they don't like Bitcoin.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP BUYING BITCOIN NOW!!! This coin is crap on: December 16, 2019, 11:23:20 AM
Thanks for the effort posting this one just to send hate towards Bitcoin. I'll just take it easy since you have the rights to say what you want. But you see, what you said is just becoming worthless since you've posted it here where people believe in Bitcoin... Continue sending hate, a hate from a single person won't bother the majority here. We've already encountered a lot of negative comments from different people.  Wink

195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 2019, Students Demanded Blockchain Education. In 2020, It’s Coming on: December 16, 2019, 05:26:34 AM
As a student myself, I really hope that blockchain technology will be taught in schools. Since schools are teaching about technologies, blockchain is also a technological development that needs to be learned by students. We're now on the 4th industrial revolution, and if this kind of development isn't welcome in education, when will other students discover blockchain? Let's be open that this knowledge is not only for the benefits of cryptocurrency and its adoption, it's also for the students. Additional knowledge for the students to know what's really happening now.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto/Blockchain hype over? on: December 15, 2019, 04:22:04 PM
Obviously today is different from 2017 since 2017 is its peak. But that doesn't mean because of bear run, people are declining and leaving crypto already. it's just that during 2017, it's easier to attracts people in crypto unlike today. But as long as we continue to share crypto to others, we can still attract people. I still believe that cryptocurrency will survive and last longer.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you use an anonymous payment system? on: December 15, 2019, 03:30:20 PM
There is always a pros and cons with anonymous payment system. Just like what you've said, that's the pros of anonymity why people prefer decentralized. But there's always a limiting factor. At some point anonymity can be something bad if used negatively like illegal activities. It's a con but a pro to criminals.
It's fine to use it if you think infos are not necessary at all but for sure people will take advantage of it and it'll be a mess.
198  Economy / Economics / Re: The Government-Backed Digital Dollar (USD) on: December 15, 2019, 02:38:19 PM
There's a reason why they can't just adopt sudden changes like digital currency. I'm not sure and this is just my personal opinion but since USD is the world's reserved currency, and usd is involved in a lot of foreign exchange, I think if they adopt digital currency, not all countries can adopt it as well due to lack of technological capabilities and advancement.
Or maybe the government doesn't find it as that essential for now but maybe in the future they might adopt too.
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Over $7 trillion worth of BTC has been transferred since 2009 on: December 15, 2019, 01:36:45 PM
Higher possibility that the $7 trillion worth of Bitcoin isn't that accurate. Though what good is that, it only means that Bitcoin community is getting bigger and bigger. More and more people are transacting with bitcoin. Though of course, a single person obviously did a lot of transactions...
Just the main point is that, even if the data or the exact amount is correct, we all know that Bitcoin is getting more popular
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Things you could purchase with Cryptocurrencies (Opera Merc) on: December 15, 2019, 06:21:33 AM
That's good! Thanks for sharing it with us, at least we got more ideas where we can use our cryptocurrency in purchasing things online. I also like browsing and  buying things online so I might check that out as well if I have more time...
Things like this that should be propagated in the world of crypto. So that the introduction of crypto to the cloud community can occur optimally. Because in fact, now we are entering an era where shopping does not have to go to the physical store, it can be through an online shop. This makes it easy for people to shop wherever and whenever. And of course this must be accompanied by digital payments that are also fast and easy such as crypto.
I totally agree with this... People are now also enjoying buying things online, even me and if only promoted properly, it's a good opportunity for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency to be recognized also.
