141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any change this year? on: January 02, 2020, 04:13:33 PM
Why would I give up when I know Bitcoin will continue to survive? And I didn't spend my time here just for me to give up. I've achieved enough for Bitcoin to prove me it's work investing. It's 2020 and bitcoin still kicking regardless of all the issues and negative comments it received. I know that this year will be an awesome year for us so I won't give up and continue what I'm doing. I won't start my year giving up.
142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stats to kickoff 2020 on: January 02, 2020, 02:30:47 PM
Interesting. But you're missing something. That's the link. It would be great if you included the link(s) where you get those information. Of course you didn't compute that on your own. It's really hard to determine accurate information like this so most of this are just the average computation I guess. You can't know the exact number of people and amount of Bitcoin all people have.
143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: which year Bitcoin will be 100% mined? on: January 02, 2020, 01:04:12 PM
The estimate is 2140 based on the block reward halving frequency of four years, If bitcoin was still the Cryptocurrency in 2140. However, the miners will not stop mining, they will just stop being paid by the release of bitcoins, instead, they will be paid solely by network transaction fees which are paid by users sending money on the network.
I already saw this information in some article. If this scenario will happen it feels sad because for sure we are already dead when that time comes that the bitcoin can  mine 100%.
Of course we're already dead at that time and we will never know what will happen during that year. Or even if bitcoin will get widely accepted or not. No one can predict since it's a very long time before we reached that year. But even though bitcoin is already fully mined, bitcoin could still remain circulating.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profit matters most in crypto currency on: January 02, 2020, 11:56:41 AM
whenever you see profit, take it.
Yes, I guess no one will deny that we're all aiming for profits here. But you cannot take all profitable things and opportunities being offered. We should think about it first if it's worth the risk before taking it. Maybe you're taking all opportunities but end up being a scam, so you've just lost your time and efforts. Small and big effort are important. We need to learn how to value small profits, for us to gain bigger profits. But in not all cases, every profit you see is worth taking.
145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy holidays to all bitcointalk members.Check out my goofy bitcoin artwork. :) on: January 01, 2020, 03:33:13 PM
Gotta say Happy New Year since Christmas is over. Your so called art work is nice. I like the effort but it would have been better if it's bigger. But since you said you're lazy, I guess that's enough. I wouldn't even make time doing it, if I were to think of it. Anyways, happy new year to all of us. Wishing us a good news to start this year and would also end with a good news. Looking forward for more years with bitcointalk.
146  Economy / Economics / Re: New bill would make Facebook’s cryptocurrency a security under the law on: January 01, 2020, 12:28:49 PM
Of course Facebook is a big company and the government wouldn't just let Libra pass without them involving themselves in the said project. Government want a big tax from it. But if ever, with this strict regulations from the government, when Libra finally got launched, people might also have second thoughts using it because we know that the government is watching them.
147  Economy / Economics / Re: Halving is approacing: HOLD YOUR BITCOINS AND NEVER SELL THEM on: January 01, 2020, 10:16:16 AM
That's what I am really going to do. Even if we don't know how this halving will affect bitcoin's price, I will still keep and hold my Bitcoin. Cause for me, it's not just about halving. I just believe that sooner, the time will come and we will get what we've been waiting. We just need to be patient and hold. Before halving comes, I'll do my best to earn more Bitcoin so I can hold more.
148  Economy / Speculation / Re: '''Happy new year''' wish (Bitcoin) price in this year 2020 on: January 01, 2020, 08:35:24 AM
Like you, I also hope that this year will lead us to bull market. I have faith that those next boom you put in the picture is possible. However, I don't want to put my hopes that high and expect that it'll reach 20k in this year. We're just at the first day of 2020 and we will still encounter a lot of news and issue that will affect the price. But overall, I'm hoping for a good year for all of us. Happy New Year to everyone!
149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YouTube vs Crypto on: December 31, 2019, 04:45:47 PM
YouTube finally recognised that the recent Crypto Purge was a "mistake" but the damage is done, what do you have to say about this? I think the damage will get fixed in time because really YouTube has been a very useful platform for crypto
Youtube is really helpful for us and for beginners. I'm just thinking why does it have to be youtube vs crypto when there's no fight happening? They admitted their mistake already and they are responsible for fixing what they did. Youtube's mistake is a lesson for them to be more careful and to improve their group in managing their platform.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You should burst this MYTH on: December 31, 2019, 12:32:34 PM
I often hear people quoting that some country (most of the times China) is positive towards blockchain and are thinking to using it in their country, so they are also  positive towards Bitcoin.

This is just a myth. To be honest Bitcoin and Blockchain are separable. Blockchain can sustain without crypto but crypto cannot without blockchain.

In recent times Bitcoin moved from 7k range to more than 10k may be with the news of China president talking about blockchain. Then people were saying that China is positive towards crypto but things were not that good. And now things are on the same page again.

So burst this myth that where blockchain is Bitcoin will also be there.
It was just a common mistake when you're still learning in cryptocurrency. But once you've learned enough, you would know bitcoin is different from blockchain. I don't know if this is considered as myth because I don't think we're telling newbies this misconception of bitcoin and blockchain. You're right with your idea though. That not all that's into blockchain are also into cryptocurrency
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers Just Had A Field Day on Nuls. $480k Worth Token Stolen on: December 31, 2019, 11:46:40 AM
What a bad experience to end the year. They also have a fault for not securing their system very well. Although hacking is really unstoppable in the internet. If this cannot be prevented, maybe in the future this will become one of our major threat in crypto.
The fight against hackers will be a long and very difficult one. Every time we upgrade security, hackers take it to the next level.
Perhaps the best way to combat hackers at this point is to always increase security.
I don't know if this can be stopped. If there are smart people to upgrade their security, their will always be smart people who can still hack it.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Under supervision, do you think that anonymous coins have a future? on: December 31, 2019, 10:53:04 AM
Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! According to the current situation, cryptocurrencies are about to be brought under government supervision. Do you think that anonymous coins have a future in this case? How should we choose, thank you for your proposal
They have future, only if government will allow them. The biggest problem of anonymous coins have to face is the government. Even if there is a big demand over it, the government will be its biggest hindrance. I don't think it will be easy for anonymous coins to be accepted in public because I really doubt that the government will allow and support it. People can take too much advantage of it.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is It true youTube has started restoring of crypto related videos? on: December 30, 2019, 06:01:36 PM
Since it becomes a topic in crypto and people starts questioning, I think YouTube have seen it and reviewed what they did. I've seen an article saying that youtube already apologized for the mistake. And since they admitted it, of course they have to restore those video because it's their fault. If other videos won't be restored after the coming days, maybe it's because they really violated some terms and conditions on YouTube.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Taxing Bitcoin? Here's the Answer on: December 30, 2019, 05:15:14 PM
All of us are responsible for paying taxes. And we'll only pay tax of cryptocurrency becomes officially legal in your country. As for my country, it's not yet legal that's why there's still no specific law about tax. Your idea is nice, the government just need to legalized it so they can implement taxation. But you know, people who have more income are more afraid of taxes, they'll make way just to lessen tax they would pay. This is also possible in crypto, if implemented.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and bitcoin is Not good investment new era Next phase on: December 30, 2019, 03:56:27 PM
Looks like OP mixed blockchain and crypto. You don't really need to have cryptocurrencies, just use blockchain to store those equity digital shares.
If he indeed mixed things up, I bet he's still learning and kind of new to cryptocurrency because he got confused with blockchain and crypto. So I'm thinking how can he say that crypto is not a good investment? Yes, we have different opinions. But the post itself is confusing. He said that crypto and Bitcoin is not a good investment but can be a vehicle, which is I don't really understand.
As for my side, crypto, especially Bitcoin is a good investment even though there's no pump with the price. The fact that it's growing, it makes me believe that Bitcoin can be more, and succeed more in the future.
156  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plan if no significant move on Bitcoin price along with the halving? on: December 30, 2019, 12:09:51 PM
I might do both replanning and continue holding. Make some adjustments with my previous plan if ever the price didn't move that high compared to what is expected even with halving. And since I can't do anything with it, I'll just continue holding. In crypto, unexpected increase and decrease is normal so I'd better prepare myself if that is the case. That's the best thing I can do.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worsening Lebanese Crisis May Spark Bitcoin Adoption on: December 30, 2019, 06:58:52 AM
Countries who are facing crisis right now are trying to move to cryptocurrency. They are finding alternatives and ways to survive without the use of things related to the government. When a country's economy fall, it's mostly because of their government and I think why crypto becomes the people's option is because they already don't trust their government. I've been hearing some news about struggling countries that are adopting crypto and during this phase they'll be able to understand how useful crypto could be.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is libra coin going to dominate the Bitcoin market? on: December 29, 2019, 01:12:41 PM
Right now, what only Libra has is the name since it is backed with famous companies. But since it hasn't been launched and approved yet, we still don't know what to expect in its performance. But I think it'll be a hot topic for days after launching it but it won't reach the point that it will after bitcoin's dominance in the market. Bitcoin will still remain as is because they are different so we don't have to worry about how it'll going to affect Bitcoin.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be decentralized if the Internet is centralized on: December 28, 2019, 03:15:17 PM
Internet being centralized or decentralized is not really a problem here. Bitcoin is decentralized on its nature but one factor affecting it is the government who is centralized. Even if bitcoin is decentralized, since the government is higher, they can still control their people who's using Bitcoin. No one is controlling Bitcoin but the government can control people, which is the user of Bitcoin.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin never reaches a new ATH? on: December 28, 2019, 02:06:45 PM
Why would they lose their investment just because Bitcoin cannot reach a new ATH? As long as your investment gains, then it's not a loss. Right now it's hard to see that we can reach new ATH but we never know in the future, after years. And since it seems so hard for Bitcoin to reach it with the current situation, we don't have to aim for ATH. Maybe at least a big pump will do.
