681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as the currency of the future? on: May 26, 2018, 01:20:18 AM
I see that the more bitcoin the more users seen from the significantly increased bitcoin price increase, is this a sign that bitcoin will soon become the future virtual currency?
Hmm in your first statement I think it is wrong because it is not just a out how many people are using bitcoin that will affect the price of bitcoin but rather by different significant factors like those investors and etc.  Regarding to your second statement, I think it is possible for bitcoin to be the future currency considering what bitcoin is as a whole.
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally legal in India on: May 26, 2018, 12:50:37 AM
"Suddenly, Bitcoin to Be Officially Legal in India"
posted Jule 20, 2017
https://cointelegraph.com/news/suddenly-bitcoin-to-be-officially-legal-in-india

Bitcoin exchanges in India have been able to operate but they have been self-regulating using strict Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundering measures https://veratad.com/solutions/identity-verification/ in place. These areas will now fall under government regulation.

Funny side note--a member of the parliament in India likened Bitcoin to a Ponzi scheme as recently as March of this year. Pretty wild.
"In a letter to the Finance Ministry and the Reserve Bank of India, Somaiya explained that Bitcoin is a pyramid Ponzi-type scheme. However, Somaiya was criticized for his inability to understand the structural and fundamental difference between a Ponzi scheme and Bitcoin."

I think legalizing bitcoin in India is a good news and I think it will affect the price of bitcoin. India has been regulating its individuals in using bitcoin and now that it is legal,  they now might use bitcoin as much as they want. But I think some businesses might try to amend it and try to regulate it so that it wouldn't interfere their profits but nevertheless,  legalizing bitcoin in India is good for all of us.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why so many Bitcoin users have fear of governments? on: May 25, 2018, 02:02:44 PM
I can't escape to notice that many users here on forum have terrible rebbelious fear of governments. Like government is some evil devil that will destroy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. But is this realy so, do such claims have any reasonable ground at all?

To my opinion the cause for something like that is again ignorance. I think that regulation that is mentioned in many countries is often mixed with centralization which is something that is not natural to Bitcoin because it's functioning totaly different than fiat currencies. Also some warnings to people that Bitcoin is volatile and risky investment that come from national banks are often interpretated as hostile behaviour towards Bitcoin and attempts to make people not to use it.

Is there any hope that Bitcoin users and governments will find the common language and help Bitcoin together to be more accepted in economy, especialy by businesses and to become more "legal" everywhere?
I think it is very hard for your statement to happen.  It is because of different things like the nature of bitcoin which is decentralized while the government wants it to be centralized it so that they can regulate it. Also,  banks and other businesses do not want bitcoin to flourish because it might affect their income so they are also pushing the government to regulate it or if can, to ban bitcoin in their country. So I think it is really hard for it to happen.
684  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin & College students . on: May 25, 2018, 01:27:27 PM
I believe that a huge portion of the the crypto community are still young college students that don't have any necessities that need another source of income aside from their scholarships / the money they are getting from their parents .
And apart from spending their cryptos on either betting or purchasing goods/video games from online markets , many of these students didn't make plans for what they'll do with their coins in the future.
I myself have had many thoughts about hodling and launching a business as soon as i graduate with the coins in my possession , yet i'm not exactly sure what i'll be doing ..
So i'm really curious about :
- On what do you spend your coins apart than partying/gambling/paying for tuition loans ?
- Do you have any future plans for your coins if you are hodling any ?

I am using bitcoin for the reason that I need money for me to sustain my needs given that I am not that rich. I am a college student and the University I am enrolled with is quite far from our house that is why I really need money for transportation and other fees in schools.  My future plans in my coins is I will hold it until the the price of bitcoin is in enough amount for my to cash it out.
685  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin have more risks than benefits? on: May 25, 2018, 12:11:07 PM
Bank of Spain, in Madrid, says that the bank of cryptocurrencies, bitcoin, it's not worth it, and there are more risks than benefits. There are more innovations and they are having more effect.

             https://www.compuserve.com/news/world/story/0002/20180523/KCN1IO0YB_1

What is your opinion?

Hmm, no I think it is wrong,  personally I think bitcoin has more and much more advantages than disadvantages or risks.  The only bad side of bitcoin is that you will risk you money in fluctuation but I think it is normal for a business to be risky.  The good thing about volatility of bitcoin is yes it might decrease it's price but it might also increase its price,  and that is the best part.  Other than volatile,  fast and secured transaction,  convenient and more are the different advantages of bitcoin.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: May 25, 2018, 08:31:19 AM
We are entering an era of multiple digital currencies, and many of them will survive. Bitcoin is certain to be one of them, but it can't be number one for every factor. Where do you think Bitcoin will stay as number 1

  • Store of value
  • Services in addition to simple money transfer
  • Convenience
  • Security
  • Investment/speculation
  • Safe transfer speed
  • Privacy
  • Freedom from globalist control
  • Other
,,I think bitcoin will stay number one in terms of sore of value and in investment speculation.  It is hard to dethrone bitcoin in these two aspects but other than that,  bitcoin might be dethrone by different cryptocurrencies. For example is the freedom from globalist control. I think from now the globalist is starting to control bitcoin by regulating it in some countries so that it wouldn't be spread widely. Other factors like what I said,  bitcoin might be dethrone in these aspects because some things.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will silence its haters... on: May 25, 2018, 01:13:03 AM
we know that many people do not like the presence of Bitcoin,
Are you sure in the future people who hate Bitcoin will be silent and regret because of Bitcoin triumphs...  Grin
Well,  in some parts of the world,  bitcoin have already silence its haters.  It is because they did not even expect that bitcoin will have this price.  They do not also expect that a person can really be that successful, triumphant,  and that rich because they just believe that bitcoin business is just a fraud.  All thank to bitcoin.
688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin down, what will happen? on: May 24, 2018, 03:09:37 PM
seeing bitcoin prices go down and up, I'm a bit frightened to buy bitcoin at the moment, I judge I could lose, do you think, whether bitcoin prices can continue to go down, or even rise high?
I think it is very difficult to predict whether the value or price of bitcoin will go down or increase because of certain indicators but what I am sure of,  I think this is the best time for anyone to buy and invest in bitcoin.  It is because from now it has a low amount. I personally believe that bitcoin might increase again and when that time comes,  do not make a decision you will regret.  Be optimistic and positive.
689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason why we really need Bitcoin? on: May 24, 2018, 02:39:47 PM
Why do we really need Bitcoin?
I am a secretive and confidential escapee. I hate keeping money in safes with passwords or depositing money in banks that fear bank bankruptcy. I need bitcoin, will no one have control over my bitcoin account, unlike other electronic money systems, you may be locked account, frozen property. With bitcoin you own the private key, with a separate bitcoin address. No one manages and controls accounts outside of you.
And you?

Personally, the primary reason why I uses bitcoin is it is my primary source of income considering I am also a student. The good thing about bitcoin is that you do not need to lend so much of your time to it for you to earn money why I really need because like what I have mentioned,  I am a student.  I need a source of income for me to provide my needs and wants considering that I am not in a rich family. Secondary reason is bitcoin is a  good way to secure money and it makes transactions safe and fast.
690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you see bitcoins yourself? on: May 20, 2018, 02:52:24 PM
Now obviously, the tittle says it all. I am just curious on how you guys see bitcoins or the whole thought of cryptos as a whole? Because clearly, all of us have different minds which is why most of the time we have different point of views about different things. Although some may have same opinions or believes on the same thing but it still does not cover everyone. Because some sees bitcoins and other cryptos as a key to ending poverty(which is something I disagree with but totally respect), while some sees it as an asset, others see it as currency, and so much more. I would really love to know how you guys see bitcoins because I think this can be a key to having a glance on what the future of the crypto world will be someday(although this is not for sure, I think it is worth a shot). So please my fellow crypto lovers, share your thoughts Smiley
I see bitcoin as a way or a mode of earning money.  I am a student and as a student that is living in a third world country,  I need a mode of earning money so that I can sustain my needs and bitcoin has helped me a lot. It has been my provider so I can study in a far university from our home.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens with my crypto when I die? on: May 20, 2018, 02:30:47 PM
Silly question right? Smiley
Unless there is a backup method or heritage system it obviously vanishes for eternity, but the point was to discover methods that you are aware for avoiding such risks.

Well, it's not a risk, it's a certainty, but there are other risks of losing access to the crypto account aswell.
Some like:
* death... obviously
* house burns down along with hard wallet
* one can accidently loose his cold storage or hard wallet
* maybe other you figure out and I add them

So, what storage do you use to ensure your savings, or what do you think would be the best solution to overcome these risks?

UPDATE: I started this discusion because I can't see a decentralized solution for that, most of the centralized ones are largely known (wills at layers, online wallets and so on) but do not meet the security criteria as still imply a trusted party. Better simply handover the private key directly to the inheritant IMO.

What I want to determine is if it IS realy a concern for the comunity or not, and if yes than we can contribute all together to the creation of a such product. But again I realy do think it should be built decentralized and trustless.
Yes, this is purely a silly question. It is because no one can escape death. Also, a normal person will think about on prolonging his life rather than thinking what will happen to his bitcoin when he does.  Another point is that you must wholeheartedly pass it to your offspring or descendants or your wife if she/he is alive. Just keep it in different digital wallets or at banks so it is secured.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Strategy on: May 20, 2018, 01:53:09 PM
Greetings! I am planning to invest $5,000 in cryptocurrency but I do not know how to invest. And where should I invest? - in Bitcoin, in alternate cryptocurrency, or in ICO? I’m asking for an investment strategy for professional traders or investors out there.
When you are planning to invest and considering that you investment is a huge amount of money and your knowledge about cryptocurrencies,  I think you must study first all the things about bitcoin before coming out with a decision. Investing is very risky. I suggest that you invest in different coins but focus more on coins like bitcoin and etherium so you can earn money faster.  Also try to study about day to day trading but to informed you it is also risky.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin: is it the coin of the future ? on: May 20, 2018, 11:26:25 AM
With the imposition of crypto currencies a new reality on the international investment scene, the views of international investors varied among the supporters and opponents of the circulation of the most known digital currency "bitcoin" in the middle of  the enthusiasm of digital investors to make a quick profit on the one hand and warnings  And the fears of experts on the other hand about the bitcoin future trading that may not normally appear in traditional investments.

In view of the movement of the bitcoin, from its inception until now fully aware that we face the possibility of bursting bubble price at any moment, and the reason for the lack of real value of this currency compared to currencies traded in dollars, there are assets behind the currency such as gold or minerals, material as a real estate sector in addition to the absence An organized governmental body for trading this currency.
Hmm, I think it is possible for bitcoin to be considered as the coin of the world in the future.  It is because of its advantages and its value which is has the greatest amount compare to other currencies.  Future means more technology advance, and bitcoin needs a medium and that is perfect.  I think third world countries will adapt more in the future so yes,  maybe what you have predicted is true.
694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can somebody steal your btc? on: May 20, 2018, 10:30:32 AM
Hi, have you ever thought this?

You know that, to import a wallet you need the private key or your seed. Taking as example the private key (the 52 letters key). It could exist the possibility someone create a software whose function was to try thousands of times to find the private key till it is be done. This would be like the process to find the new block in mining, anyway you can try the times you want in order to find it.

I think this could be a weakness, correct me if I am wrong. Smiley

Or comment if you have a kind of solution for this...

Regards!

I think you what you have stated cannot be happen,  or improbable.  It is for the reason that as you have said, it has 52 characters,  and these 52 characters is very hard to guess.  It will take him nearly billions or even more combinations for him to guess it,  and to make a software to do it,  is very hard.  Also,  if they try it,  I think the security system of bitcoin will detect it because of a malicious activity just lie what facebook have been doing.
695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin transaction fee keeps increasing? on: May 20, 2018, 08:52:32 AM
Hi guys,i just wanna knows that why the transaction fee for bitcoins is increasing everyday. Some days before i send bitcoin to a trader the fee was 0.0005btc but yesterday i repeat the same transaction same amount then the fee was 0.0006 btc.

Please correct me if i am posted in wrong section. Smiley
Hmm, I think there is a factor why the transaction fee increased and that is the amount of the money you are transacting.  If it is a large amount,  then definitely the transacting fee is bigger and the same goes with low amount of transacting money directing to lower transacting fee.
696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just lost my entire wallet of 13 BTC. on: May 20, 2018, 05:41:55 AM
Cautionary Tale: I messed up. Big time. Please don’t pile on harder as I’m already sick to my stomach.

NEVER EXPOSE YOUR BTC KEYS/Seed to an forked wallet.

Two days ago, I attempted to split my BTC Diamond and BTC Private. I could not get it.

At some point, I exposed my Ledger Nano with my BTC on it, to each of their Electrum Wallets.

Last night, my wallet was emptied of ALL my BTC, 13+ coins.

Here is the transaction.

Transaction Identifier: d96a7dcd9775456e36938ed2cb84e9d0cac46fad14b8c95008ed77d08f9f8de6

Here’s a signed message so you know I HAD controller of the wallet.
I’m not scamming, just utterly sick to my stomach for losing 13+ BTC.

It appears that I have now lost my entire life savings. I’m not begging for a handout but rather attempting to warn anyone new to the space. I’m sick to my stomach with the loss and my only hope is to gain the attention of the culprit.

If you have any space in your heart, please return the BTC. I’d accept a fraction of what was stolen. Please don’t completely bankrupt me.
I feel sorry for what have happened to you but I think you learned a lesson for this bad experience. At least you learn that you must not exposed you personal information online because things might happen.  Also,  I think you must not keep that big money to just 1 wallet.  That is 13 btc, if you keep it in different wallet then a small fraction of money will be the only thing that will gone.
697  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future predictions about crypto currencies on: May 20, 2018, 05:04:54 AM
Hi folks share your thoughts about crypto currencies. i will really appreciate to all experts here thanks
I do not know what will happen to any specific cryptocurrencies but cryptocurrency as a whole or the market,  I think it will grow rapidly and the prices I think will increases that everyone's curiosity will be captured. Also,  it will be adapt I think by more countries and more business considering the time that these countries might take advantage for them to adapt.
698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS. GOLD on: May 20, 2018, 04:31:19 AM
Will the bitcoin replace the Gold? If there is A war coming everyone will run to the Bitcoin instead of the gold?
Some analyst  say that in 5 years BTC will be less than $100 while GOLD will be above 10K, your thoghts?
I did my risk mangment and split my investments, boght PAX coin to be on the safe side.

link for more info: https://payperex.com

Obviously,  no,  bitcoin will never replaced gold.  Gold is a physical entity,  bitcoin is not because it is just a digital entity.  Also,  their purposes are quite different.  Yes you can use both in payment but bitcoin ends in that purpose,  while gold,  as we know,  can be used in different things.  You can use in equipments like in phones. It is also used in the medical field,  and bitcoin cannot do that. So they are different and obviously,  gold is better.
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can We Finally Call This the DEATH of Bitcoin?!? on: May 20, 2018, 03:53:26 AM
The scammers and crooks finally won! Congratulations because even your fiat will be near worthless at some point too! The economic freedom of the people is once again destroyed by the animalia raised by bad handlers.

To the "Lending" companies (hey man, do you think I can get my money back soon), I salute you.

To Bitmain and "the plan", I salute you.

To Wall Street who always knows my future, I salute you.

To the newbie crypto-millionaires, who only like the part about making easy money, I salute you.

To the lower middle-class who borrowed all the equity in their homes to buy crypto and told everyone about it, I salute you.

To the SEC who will wait until every crypto is worthless to go after anyone, I salute you.

To the old school crypto nerds, who cashed out in 2017 when they saw what was coming, great job!

I still remember the days when getting anything over a 1% yield on a bank account was something to brag about.

One day I will tell my grand kids about the time in 2017 when everyone except politicians were happy and it was a joy to work at any job because you had real money that actually could make you more real money. Time to find the next bubble...
No,  it's not end the end of bitcoin,  you are overreacting about the happenings.  Again,  it doesn't mean that the value of bitcoin decreases,  then it is the end of bitcoin do you forgot how volatile bitcoin is?  Even though it reaches it somehow all time low this year,  yet it is not the end. Don't act like it's the end. I think you are not that experienced bitcoin user because of your mentality.
700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Homeless use Bitcoin on: May 20, 2018, 12:42:28 AM
Guys what do you think about Homeless people who use cryptocurrency on the street is that an evolution or something else ?

Well,  it might be revolution because beggars now do recognize bitcoin and what it can do,  but in this situation,  I don't think that he is really a homeless person,  considering he even know qr codes.  Being a homeless person means you beg for money for you to have a food to eat,  but this person,  he even have a phone and internet connection,  and this is improbable for a homeless person.  The only way for it to be true is that he do not want to spend money to buy a house,  but I think it is improbable.
