721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins for illegal activity on: April 28, 2018, 01:14:12 PM
From recent news in India it is heard that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..I know its a currency and it is also used as a normal money... but these can create a bad space in people's mind that bitcoins are used to sell drugs..so they will not use bitcoins... Conclusion is that BTC is also a currency which is having a high value in the market..and bitcoins must not be used in these illegal activity which can reduce its usage and value.
Yes, anyone can use bitcoin for illegal activities like what you have been mentioned and in other purposes such as buying porn videos and etcetera,  but for me do not blame bitcoin.  Bitcoin is just a currency or a thing that has value but it has nothing to do with these bad activities but the people who are doing it does.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold on: April 28, 2018, 11:03:27 AM
From an investment point of view, bitcoin is more about gold than it is about other currencies. That's because as an asset, bitcoin and gold have a lot in common. Both are limited to supply, both have functions to use, and many believe that, despite their large price fluctuations, they remain a good store of value. Compared to gold and currency investment returns in the past five years, the currency's performance is far better than the so-called precious metals, gold year loss than 6%, the currency of the annualized rate of return is 155%. These rich returns show that bitcoin has excited investors about the prospect of putting money into such a new asset class.

Compared with the gold standard, the value of the currency rising and proven performance, investors can be used to measure the investment of the world's leading digital currency future opportunity and risk indicators.
Obviously, no, bitcoin is not better than gold. Bitcoin is just a cryptocurrency and it will be forever.  It will be just used as it is and that is its downfall compare to gold. And when you talk about as a currency,  bitcoin is very volatile and its price is very unstable compare to gold. Also,  bitcoin is a cryptocurrency,  it needs internet for anyone to access. Gold can be used by everyone because of its accessibility. So no,  bitcoin isn't better than gold.
723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is a good time to buy? on: April 28, 2018, 10:32:12 AM
I bought a bunch BTC when it was $17000, then bought a bunch when it is $14000...then the price dropped until 2 days ago. I bought a bunch again when it was 6000ish...haha, now the price went up...so, really, when is it a good time to buy? When it dropped for a while and it rose a little bit, then drop again, then buy?

The best time to buy is when the value of bitcoin is low than usual or the down trends is consistent.  Definitely,  you must buy some bitcoin so that you will earn money when the value increases. You must understand how the market works by studying it on many sources of information. Kindly read some of the forums here for those sources.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoins be antiques on: April 27, 2018, 10:37:34 AM
we know all the bitcoin has 21 million coins suply, will bitcoin be a valuable antiquity when it reaches 21 million coins or it will be the obsolete item that will be in its enthusiasts, what do you think?
I think your word use is incorrect,  do not use the word antique because antique is something that gets old as 100 years and older and it is like you are telling it as a valuable one.  But yeah,  it will be valuable on the next months.  Also,  the good thing about bitcoin is that it will never gets old unlike tangible objects because it is a digital object.
725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the government ban bitcoin? on: April 27, 2018, 03:04:42 AM
Bitcoin has been announced since the day it was invented, and it will be suppressed by governments in the future and declared illegal currency. Is the basis, the further development of the currency will be in the interests of the threat to traditional monetary and ruler, not the rights to cryptography currency once governments announced that the currency is illegal, its price will produce volatile in the short term, and may even crash. At the same time, the government will force the bitcoin exchange to be shut down, so that bitcoin can only be sold in private, and its exchange capacity will be badly hit. Will the government ban bitcoin?
Yes there is a possibility that government will ban bitcoin,  but I think it is improbable to happen. Here in Philippines,  most of the population didn't know bitcoin,  those who know bitcoin are actually aware of what bitcoin is and they know how useful it is.  Also,  the jurisdiction must study and they will ending up understanding that even though bitcoin is sometimes used in illegal activities,  it is just like the paper money which I think is not the root of bad things but the greediness and bad mentality of humans is.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what are the common challenges for bitcoin user? on: April 26, 2018, 12:28:29 PM
As we all know bitcoin has come long way in the eight or so years its been in existence, but their's still long way to go before the digital currency becomes a widely used method of paying for goods and services.
we should know.
1.what challenges are facing bitcoin?
2. how we can prevent it?
3. how we should face those challenges?
The first problem that you'll gonna face is adopting to it since you are a new user.  You need a great source of information for you to understand well bitcoin so that you will have that much problem adapting. Another problem is that bitcoin is very volatile,  and having lack of patience and easy to panicked mentality will literally take you down in this activity.
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TIPS to be come victorious in bitcoin on: April 26, 2018, 08:56:23 AM
My suggestion to everyone would be to be calmed, don't be greedy, have a patience in everything. Success will definitely touch your feet, never ever quit. Bitcoin's price is always volatile, as we see it's dump price and the market is red, never lose hope.

Always remember this one " He who quits does not succeed, he who succeeds does not quit".
I agree, you need to be patience in order for you to be victorious or successful in bitcoin.  You need to be calmed and try to wait and hope that everything will be alright.  Maybe from now the price of bitcoin is not that high,  but we all know that it is the nature of bitcoin is being volatile.  We must be optimistic that it will regain its value.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: While you are panicking.... on: April 22, 2018, 11:17:12 AM
While you are panicking over the decline in the price of bitcoin, the largest bitcoin holders will have an even more volume of bitcoins because of the panickers
Maybe it is nonsense for a bitcoin user to be a panicked type of person.  It is because it is the fundamental to know how volatile bitcoin is,  and holding here is the key.  It is true here that patience is virtue,  and you really need here to be patience and wait for the perfect opportunity to sell your bitcoin.
729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mother is 70 ... on: April 22, 2018, 09:48:30 AM
We talked about bitcoin today on the phone.  She asked me if she gave me 30 dollars if I could invest it for her.  I explained the volility of the coin that we could go from 100 to zero just like that.  She still wants to put in 30.

That tells me while we may not be mainstream yet, we are getting there.
If you talked about bitcoin,  make sure that you explained to her all the thing that she need to know and make sure she take down notes considering her age.  But it is great to know that your mother is enthusiastically wants to know and to earn in bitcoin because some old people are really having problems in adapting to these kinds of modern advancements.
730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is changing the world. on: April 22, 2018, 09:18:47 AM
Bitcoin is changing the way we live.
Bitcoin is changing the way we do business.
Bitcoin is changing the way we travel and save our money/assets.
Bitcoin and blockchain technology has open new doors for people to do business with one another without the intervention of third parties.

What do you make of this, huh? Share with us what you think.
Yes,  bitcoin is revolutionizing the way people live.  It is the dream of the past where they dreamed of cashless payment and bitcoin answered it, but this effect is not really that felt by many people but only of a small fraction of world's population. Yes it opens business ventures and make the transactions faster.  It even is a way of earning money by any person who wants it because it is so accessible but many people still yet didn't know bitcoin.  So yes, partially changing the world but not that much.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be fine on: April 22, 2018, 04:47:32 AM
There's allot of uncertainty around bitcoin at the moment but with all of this commotion I think it's important to put this all into perspective. At the time of writing this message we are at $8700. This is 8x what it was a year ago. Another thing to remember is many people never thought they would be lucky enough to see a bitcoin dip that would put bitcoin at these lower prices. I feel lucky enough to have come into the market early enough to buy bitcoin at these extremely cheap prices. I reckon we will look back again at these times and there will be another batch of people kicking themselves for not buying bitcoin.
Yes, people who uses bitcoin must inform investors that this is a good opportunity to buy bitcoins because of a lower price, that they would gain much money by holding it and waiting for it's value to increase.  This is needed because the more people invest in bitcoin the higher the price or value of bitcoin will be. Also,  we all know how volatile bitcoin is so do not panic.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is owning bitcoin a crime? on: April 22, 2018, 12:57:54 AM
Possesses bitcoin as well as holding a gun  Huh Smiley Huh
http://bitcoinnews.com/cryptocurrencies-gun-crime-canada/
Obviously, no! Why do you even assume that kind of thing?  You are even a citizen in this forum.  Having bitcoin is not a crime because there is no authority telling it is illegal but it depends on the country you earn it or the country you are living.  If the country you are in is where bitcoin is banned,  then definitely you must not have any.  Vice versa. But internationally,  bitcoin is legal and it is not a crime owning one.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin ? on: April 21, 2018, 02:50:58 PM
Bitcoin is very vulnerable to hackers considering it's system.  Also,  it has high fees.  Another is that you can use it for illegal activities such as pornographic materials and in deep web.  But it's biggest disadvantages is that it is very  volatile that is why it is very hard to predict its value and these make the investors fear in investing in bitcoin.
734  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the history repeat again? on: April 21, 2018, 04:53:19 AM
So we have seen many speculations and predictions that bitcoin will go for one more bullish Eire from the end of March so we are at the end of March now , is it gonna happen like last year or speculations will fail?
Foe me, it will beat its obvious record.  The transmission that when holiday season comes,  the market becomes more active,  having more investments.  Having more investments means higher bitcoin value.  So yes, nitbwould repeat its history.
735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin legal on: April 21, 2018, 04:13:36 AM
To the best of my knowledge, Bitcoin has not been made illegal by legislation in most jurisdictions. However, some jurisdictions (such as Argentina and Russia) severely restrict or ban foreign currencies. Other jurisdictions (such as Thailand) may limit the licensing of certain entities such as Bitcoin exchanges.
Regulators from various jurisdictions are taking steps to provide individuals and businesses with rules on how to integrate this new technology with the formal, regulated financial system.

But have you come to think of it... Whether Bitcoin can be used for illegal Activities...
What are some ways you think it can be used for? (illegal Activities) mention some.

It can be used by scanners that are scamming people that they can doubled or tripled they're money when they join this frauds. This is the primary reason in banning.  Also,  I think they banned it because of fearing that people will invest here more than banks available (this is not illegal,  but to add to my point).  Another illegal activities bitcoin can be used is in buying pornographic materials and in darknet or darkweb activities like child pornography and such.
736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: April 21, 2018, 03:52:18 AM
i tried to calculate how much would i make from bitcoin mining using an antminer s9, and i don't think it's worth it for me as the cost of electricity is high where i live, which is in the UK (it's 20 cents approx), i make like $300 profit a year. and obviously i can't use faucets as that will take years to get one bitcoin. so is the only way to even get any value from bitcoin is to buy it and hold it on for another few years? but it is a risky investment due to the price. or should i invest in new currencies that are cheap right now and have potential to grow to $4k a coin?  Huh
No,  there are many ways to earn bitcoin. You can also do mining like what you have been mentioned but is required for you to have enough money to sustain it for the reason that you spend a lot of money in the equipments and the electricity bills.  But you can also join bounty campaigns and signature campaigns to earnoney. You can also do trading and gambling.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Had a talk with my son today about my bitcoins on: April 21, 2018, 03:23:48 AM
I sat my 7yr old son down and showed him my ledger nano and how to use it in case anything ever happens to me.
I explained there is electronic money on it and it will be his one day. Went through the process of wiping it and restoring with the seed. But reminded him never ever tell anyone about it is our secret.

He's a smart kid and was amazed at how it's secured by an extremely complex code and that no one can steal the money you can take it anywhere and it's safer than a bank because the ledger is a bank itself (i know that's not quite correct but still). I didn't tell him how much are on there but told him one day it will be extremely valuable that's why I'm telling him about it is for him when he grows up.

Later that day we talked about how to secure the seed and printing it on a metal plate. He thinks it is so cool.

It amazed me how a child instantly understood it and showed how cryptos are for the future generations not us. We are early adopters so buy at least 1 bitcoin for your kids. Just might set them up for life.
This is a good idea considering that they are the potential future users of digital currencies. What I only can say that you need to be careful in sharing him your keys because he might pressured by his friends or older peers and he might give it to them.  Educate him the best way you can so that he will be also a responsible and a successful user of bitcoin in the future.  Good luck!
738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as new hope for humanity on: April 21, 2018, 12:18:24 AM
Bitcoin is not just a life saver but also a life changer. Before, I don't know anything about investment. I'm just a minimum wage earner and my salary is most of the time insufficient to my needs. My family is struggling financially. When Bitcoin was introduced to my life, everything changed. At first, I invested a very little portion of my salary to HYIP and gambling hoping that my life will change instantly as what those sites promised me but I was scammed multiple times. It was devastating so I decided to stop investing on Bitcoin. After a few months, I saw some posts on social media on how Bitcoin changed a person's life so I decided to give it another try but this time, I will make sure to invest in myself first and study more about cryptocurrency. I learned about this forum and from here, I learned more things about Bitcoin specially on trading and investments. Now, I cannot say that I'm completely financially free but I can say that I'm already earning more than enough for me and my family's needs.

Bitcoin gave me another hope about life. There are times when we are feeling wasted and wants to give up but before you give up, ask your self first if you already did your best. There are times that we will definiyely lose and people will ruin our dreams but that is not a reason to stop. Just like on my experience, I got scammed but after a few months, I gabe it another shot. If I gave up, I might still ne struggling financially.

Life will definitely throw you lemons. All we need to do is learn how to make it into lemonade. I'm very thankful to Bitcoin. To all investors out there, just invest on your self first and I assure you, you'll get profit from it!
Yes,  bitcoin definitely is a life changer.  I am a normal student who is in a poor economic status because my parents are not college graduate.  My father is a minimum wage earner and sometimes his salary is not enough for our needs.  But bitcoin must be the way and I am surely is.  It will raise up our way of living. Amazingly,  people around would be surprised that I will earn a lot of money even though I am just a student.
739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Good to Make Investment in it on: April 20, 2018, 11:13:09 PM
Form last few months everyone is seeing some rise and fall into the price of the bitcoin. When it was rising everyone thought that they would have invested in it. But as of now it has fall to $10K from $17K.People are having doubts now that is bitcoin still good to invest. This is like bitcoin is been on the roller coaster ride and that ride is getting slow now. Investors of bitcoin may have lived a nightmare of 70% fall in its price from all time highest. Now this is rising again that is a bit relaxation but not that much. This up and down is making the reason for new and current investors.

So if someone ask you about investing in Bitcoin, simply say yes. But what about the price? So another answer here is that bitcoin price reflects from the market's activity. If more people show interest in investing into bitcoin then price will go up. On same page if interest of investors is low it will go low. But still you can say that even with this low price it have eliminated other investment options.

In every investment one thing is important and that is belief. If you don't have trust in where you are putting your money then it is no use. You will eventually pull out your money in small time. If you need fruit from your tree you have to wait for years to let it grow. Same happens with investment. If you are not sure of it put small amount in it that do not affect you much. With small investment in it wait for long. There may be up and down but you have to stay patient. If you want the Records of ICO token and cryptocurrency market cap there are many sites like CoinMarketCap, and CryptoLoins.

But if you are thinking that you can grow fruits from your first tree then you are wrong. Before growing tree you need to learn about tree and how to grow them. So what you need to do here is learn about bitcoin. Do study of how it works, what features it have, what are the flaws, etc. Then learn about the market, how market works, what profitable conditions are and what are not. These questions will force you to come up with a strategy. A strategy or plan to make investment depending on the facts you have learned.

This post is just for understanding what is actually offered by bitcoin. We are not telling, forcing or suggesting to invest in any cryptocurrencies. This is all just for knowledge. If you invest in cryptocurrencies and any kind of loss is happened we do not take responsibility.
Good point. The problem with this is that the people's interest and the value of bitcoin is directly proportional to each other.  If the people lose interest, definitely the value of bitcoin will decrease and on vice versa, and it is the same when you interchange then that if the value of bitcoin is high,  absolutely people will be more interested and also vice versa.  My point here is that these two factors interdepends with each other,  and that is the problem. So we the believers of this cryptography currency must make people aware of bitcoin's advantages so that bitcoin will make people interested and they will invest more in bitcoin.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we share our knowledge to the other people about bitcoin??? on: April 19, 2018, 11:55:37 AM
Hello everyone!!!

What can you say about it??  Can you share some tips or some things that might help other people with this??
There are many things for us to be able to share our knowledge with regards to bitcoin.  First is that you can talk to then face-to-face,  one by one as it is the most comprehensive way.  You can also teach them by group so that you would not need to spend much time.  You can also make PowerPoint presentations and send them the file if you do now want to face them or you have something to do.
