281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is True Decentralization a Myth? on: November 19, 2019, 04:10:22 PM
As what you have said already, cryptocurrency have some level of centralization… Decentralization depends on how each person perceive that word. If you feel it's decentralized and if it meets your expectation of decentralization, then you can call it as decentralized. Doesn't mean that a currency is decentralized, there's no involvement of others. No. As long as there is someone higher, or someone who can control most things, and you're under it, just like the government. It's not a full decentralized system. It's like decentralization has a limitation and one part is the only one decentralized but not everything.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs Worldwide Hit New Milestone, Surpassing 6,000 on: November 19, 2019, 03:28:31 PM
I'm happy for this news that bitcoin will be receiving more recognition through bitcoin ATMs. It's an achievement though I'm kinda disappointed that with this over 6,000 bitcoin ATM worldwide, I haven't seen one in person and if I'm not mistaken, there's only 2 ATMs in my country which is the Philippines. Where in fact, Philippines is a crypto-friendly country as well, although cryptocurrency isn't that popular yet, the government don't give strict regulations with bitcoin. And I don't know why there's only few ATMs being launched in my country. And to the fact that those 2 ATMs are quite far from my location, I guess I'll just have to wait until bitcoin will be more recognized and they would install one near my place.
283  Economy / Economics / Re: World debt and currency reset on: November 19, 2019, 01:54:03 AM
It's like part of a country to have debts. Almost or all every country have debt to other countries. Even developed countries have debts. But that doesn't mean they have to reser the currency just to remove all debts. As far as I know, a country is continuously paying its debt but that don't conclude that they'll be on financial crisis.
If the world we're going to reset the currency to remove all debts, we will still end up with debts with that new currency so I guess we cannot escape debt.
284  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Pera sa Internet, Tara usap tayo! on: November 17, 2019, 04:27:47 AM
285  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have You Paid Tax On Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2019, 03:00:39 AM
There's no much regulation nor strict policies in my country about cryptocurrency.  And there is no tax with crypto since just like I've said, the government isn't strict here. I don't pay taxes with crypto related transactions though I seldom use bitcoin to buy things here since it's hard to find merchants.
About bitcoin ATMs, I've heard that there's already ATM installed in my country but I have never seen one and I've always wanted to see amd try it out. I don't think there's a bitcoin ATM available here in my city
286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment on: November 15, 2019, 11:32:59 PM
If people want something where they can invest money, bitcoin is a good option. However, since it's volatile and here in crypto, it's always a risk, it's really better to invest some on crypto, bitcoin or altcoins, and remain something for fiat. I think that's the smartest way, separating your asset so if you lose the other, you still have the other. But actually, they can invest everything on bitcoin if they want to, it's a big risk but if it gains, it's a huge amount. It depends on a person afterall.
287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: November 15, 2019, 08:48:29 PM
Using bitcoin for daily living is an ideal one. I would want to use bitcoin in daily transactions but I don't really have enough bitcoin to help me survive with my daily expenses. I'm still working hard to earn more btc and rather than spending it everyday, I'm trying to save it for the future. Though I can buy things I want and I need with bitcoin but of course I still have to limit myself in spending it. Also one thing is that, besides from paying utility bills, using bitcoin, I can mostly buy things through online which is not a very practical option. It's much better to buy things personally but they don't accept bitcoin at all.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Like An Orphan on: November 15, 2019, 06:06:21 PM
Why don't we have people doing this for btc adoption. This would encourage newbies like us. https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/roger-ver-gives-away-free-bitcoin-cash-believes-it-would-be-worth-5000-in-future/
Easy to say but that's not the reality. People here are not working their ass off just to give free bitcoin to others... And this idea won't encourage newbies, rather they'll just depend on people giving bitcoins. This is not how it works. In order to receive bitcoin, work for it. You don't depemd your money to others. You are not a beggar, begging for free bitcoins.
289  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Hospital] Accepting Bitcoin on: November 15, 2019, 05:05:25 PM
It's a great news! And I hope more businesses will adopt bitcoin and cryptocurrency as well, hindi lang hospital. Pero since our country is nag uumpisa pa lang sa pag accept ng crypto, good starting point na ito. My goal right now is to see things like that here in my local city! Pero what's much better, is yung people mismo will adopt bitcoin. Not only businesses, pero yung public itself.
290  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BITCOIN GAME APP on: November 15, 2019, 03:06:10 PM
BTC

Hello Guys I want to develop a BITCOIN GAME APP in which if  a User click on the Bet type(either up Bet or DownBet) the application should First Access to see if ther is enough Balance in the User Bitcoin Wallet, and if there is enough Balace, the applcation should send bitcoin from the User Bitcoin Wallet to the Administrator Wallet.  But if there is not enough Balace, the applcation should say not enough bitcoin please make deposite

Why do you want to create a game that has access to a User bitcoin wallet if the user itself can send it manually? Giving access to your game directly to the wallet is not a good option for every gambler. If I were to ask, I am not gonna use a game app that is connected directly to my wallet. I feel unsafe about that.
Same thoughts. Why would players allow the game to access their bitcoin wallet. I'd rather not play the game if that's the case. I guess rather than accessing people's wallet, you should just have its own virtual coins where it can be converted to crypto. Simple as that. Before playing, the players can buy the game's personal virtual coins using crypto and after playing, they can also convert it back to their crypto.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For new people, when they go on the journey to bitcoin. on: November 14, 2019, 09:42:30 PM
The post is quite long but regardless of that, I'll still end but with the same conclusion. I don't care how you divide the two things but I agree that they're an important factor in becoming successful. Work and effort. Give efforts to work, work with efforts, both things will lead you to success. Because if you like the thing you're doing, you'll work hard for it.
292  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [DISCUSSION] The best bitcoin soccer betting app in Philippines on: November 14, 2019, 07:58:40 PM
I never thought it could be a top 2 sports betting app in the Philippines kasi nga hindi namam gaanong kasikat o ka hyped ang soccer dito sa bansa. Kahit ako, I rarely see news about soccer na nakakareceive ng much attention from the public.
293  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Bullish for Bitcoin’ — China Scraps Plans to Ban Cryptocurrency Mining on: November 14, 2019, 07:23:14 PM
China is slowly turning the table around. They were once against cryptocurrency and now they slowly took back their grudges against btc. This is a serious indicator about their plan to build their own cryptocurrency run by their own blockchain also.
Indeed. Because they won't change their thoughts and regulations about mining if they're not into it nor if they don't have any plans. Even from the start, I'm already expecting China to create their own cryptocurrency. That's already an obvious plan of China. But this move of China can really cause bullish for bitcoin...

But one question, aren't they going to change their mind again once they have already launched China's own crypto?
294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be possible to use Cryptocurrencies in China? on: November 14, 2019, 03:22:51 PM
The information you got is misleading. China didn't really banned holding cryptocurrency...
But why does some countries ban crypto? Maybe because the government see it as a threat to fiat currency... As for China's current status on blockchain, there's a big possibility that they will use cryptocurrency. But not those existing currency, they will probably create their own currency, specifically for China that are being controlled by their government.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain infrastructure be used in healthcare? on: November 14, 2019, 10:40:55 AM
Blockchain technology isn't just about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. It can be used in various field as well that's why some governments right now are looking forward about blockchain's help on the advancement of a country. One example is China. They started seeing the thing what blockchain can do.
So I've seen something on the internet where it discussed blockchain technology on medical and healthcare field

296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin lower its carbon footprint? on: November 13, 2019, 07:09:24 PM
The idea of electricity consumed by bitcoin mining is bigger than a small country's consumption somehow one sided. Of course it will result to that. Because you've combined all miners around the world's electricity consumption then just comapared it to a one small country. I don't think that's a fair comparison.
One way to stop burning carbon is to stop using electricity. But can we survive without electricity? No. It's not bitcoin's fault why there is too much carbon footprint. I think it would be easier to create solutions about it if the government accepts bitcoin so they'll be responsible finding solutions.
297  Economy / Economics / Re: The Impact of Change in Prices on Bitcoin's utility as Currency on: November 13, 2019, 04:15:30 PM
It's is undoubtedly the reality why it's harder for bitcoin to be accepted by the public, even the government. Due to changes in price, bitcoin are becoming more of an investment. The public, especially the market wouldn't want to always monitor it's value just to know how much are they going to price their product. For businesses, it's uncertain for them to know if they will gain profit or will lose because of bitcoin's volatility, if ever it will be adopted. Volatility can be the strength of bitcoin, but can also be it's weakness at some point.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: November 13, 2019, 01:35:36 PM
It doesn't matter how many percentage because it will still continue to grow. How many population does the America have, before we can say that, that 6.2 percent is a small percentage. It doesn't mean that a developed country, they're the one who are always ready with this kind of development...

And if we see it as something small, then let's work harder to promote cryptocurrency and bitcoin to other people. That's the only way we can help increasing bitcoin's adoption, not only in America, but with all other countries who doesn't have strict regulations with bitcoin.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disney plus+ service begins today. Do you think if they accept a crypto on: November 13, 2019, 01:02:19 PM
Disney is already successful even without any cryptocurrency involvement. To be honest they don't have to adopt cryptocurrency since they're already doing well in the industry. Since they hold a lot of popular movies that we grew up in our childhood. But once they will adopt crypto, it can help to boost and encourage more customers especially crypto enthusiasts.

I am not sure whether they are willing to accept crypto, it would depends on the owner, perhaps executives, or someone who will decide about their marketing strategies. It's more possible if the owner or someone in the higher position is a fan of crypto
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is twitter a good source of info? on: November 12, 2019, 03:35:14 PM
The answer to your question is no. It's easy to create multiple account on twitter to pretend something is a legit one. And I think there's a bot where you can easily get thousands of followers. With other aspect, I prefer twitter over Facebook with news and updates but something crypto-related information, I sort of doubt most of it.  You need first to build your trust in twitter community before others can say that the account is a good source of info.
Looking for information, I tend to go to other sites... Even here in this forum, you can gather info already.
