461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Power belongs to the investors, they are not to be toyed with on: October 10, 2019, 01:34:07 PM
Investors needs to have interest in other for a project to survive, once investors lose interest its the end, this is why i think developers need to be serious from now onward, there will come a time that new projects won't see investors investing on their projects and its because we have had enough of crappy projects, if there is no more good ideas developers need to stop building projects

The thread title sounds very ideal but in reality it can't be realized as long as greed is in the mind of some people  who will stop at nothing just get what they want even if it meant that somebody might suffer from it.

Now, I think the reason these frauds are still recurring over and over again in cryptospace is that they are in one way or the other being continuously encouraged on how some people are easily victimized by their schemes even if their project is obviously a scam!

In short - let us not feed this scammers and give them what they want so that they maybe discouraged to carry out this shameful acts! And what do we do in order not to become victims of this worthless rats? - We should invest time on ourselves to be knowledgeable on how this scam projects operate and see the signs before investing on it and act accordingly or exposed them if you have sufficient evidence to support your allegations.

I know this is not a guarantee that we will not be victimized anymore by these shady projects but at the end, it could lessen its occurrence!

"Knowledge is Power!".
Point well made, we can literally see that in spite of that some projects were made to betray people and make them look dumb because of their stupid decisions. We need to have some knowledge due to the fact that some of us had experienced losing. There are different ways to verify or check if it was a legit project, especially nowadays that scammers are also looking for some ways to make people believe on something specious.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Fiat currencies still exist or be replaced by Crypto Currencies? on: October 10, 2019, 12:24:19 PM
Cash cannot be replaced easily since it is being controlled by the government. Even if we decided to replace cash with cryptocurrrency, we still have no power to control it and the government won't even allow the removal of cash. Other payment method were just given because of the innovation and development it offers, but the main way to pay is by cash. That's why it's called "other payment method", that just work as an option in payment.
Buying big amount things are good for cards to avoid bring lot of cash in your pocket but imagine buying small amount things and then you have to use cards just to pay for it... It'll just become more complicated.
463  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's price on: October 09, 2019, 05:48:56 PM
The fact that bitcoin rose from as low as $0.003 to as high as $19,000 proves that bitcoin is really going beyond the moon. It's really wonderful how that increase was achieved in 8 years (between 2009 to 2017). I still remember reading an article in which the writer predicted bitcoin to reach a $100,000 in a 'very few' years to come. Though this sounds too much, I strongly believe it can be achieved (in my opinion, it might take time). What year do you think that such a price can be achieved? Also, what do you think is needed to make bitcoin's price grow faster and stronger?
If we want to see rapid price growing of bitcoin we should have massive adoption in different countries, bitcoin are now become stronger simply because it has been accepted in offline and online market and even the government started to accept it. Maybe in the 2020 or 2021 the price of bitcoin have chance to reach the price of 100,000$
464  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [STEP BY STEP] Tutorial How to buy Bitcoin at 7-Eleven Stores in the Philippines on: October 09, 2019, 03:06:57 PM
465  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Sino dito ang naka experience ng last bull run (2017) on: October 09, 2019, 01:25:20 PM
Tingin ko timely ito dahil paparating na malaking bull run, hopefully this year.

2.) May regret ba kayo sa last bull run? Ano yun?
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are offering Negative interest rates! will this help BTC on: October 01, 2019, 08:11:17 AM
"What if I said I wanted to borrow $100 from you and pay you back $99 five years later? Would you do it?
I was kinda lost with this statement... So I basiy doesn't get what negative interest you're talking about until I rrad some comments and it enlightened me. Cause base on my understanding with the statement, omce you borrow you'll only pay lessen than what you've borrowed.

But it doesn't necessarily mean that because of this, people would automatically move in crypto. This could be positive towards crypto but it would not directly affect crypto I guess
467  Local / Pamilihan / [Paliwanag] Kahalagahan ng Custom Trust List on: July 28, 2019, 12:24:42 PM

Maaaring may

1. People you've traded with are not necessarily good candidates. You have to trust person's judgement as well.
2. Review the feedback sent by people you're including/excluding. (You've mentioned this a little bit)
2. Never include people who ask to be included. Perhaps exclude them instead. Be skeptical about inclusions suggested by other users (possible shilling).
3. Don't include people merely based on their merits or if you like/agree with their posts.
etc

Including wrong people in the list would negate any advantages and might make it far worse than just leaving the settings at DefaultTrust.

468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why would people want to adopt Bitcoin as a payment option? on: November 04, 2018, 02:51:42 PM
Knew of the reason that I think set bitcoin apart from other type of payment methods is first its decentralization. That there is no third part involved in your transaction. Another characteristic of bitcoin is its anonymity. I think there is no need to explain that one because you only need common sense to understand that. Also, bitcoin has no or very very few transaction charge that you can transfrler huge amount of money without worrying in the transferring fees you need to pay. Lastly, it is global, you can do transaction to any people anywhere in the globe.
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EXPECTATION Vs. REALITY Bitcoin in the Eyes of the People! on: November 04, 2018, 02:34:31 PM
Well if you are talking about this topic literally, comparing bitcoin to other type of business, it is actually a shortcut type in the sense that it is the fastest way to earn a million (but can be also the fastest way to lose some). Going back, it is always headline as a shortcut of earning profit because it really is a fast way. But I agree with your point that in able for you to earn, you need to understand blockchain. It is for you to at least he an educated investor and not to invest on anytime because if you are knowledgeable, you really know when to invest and when to not. You will be a successful investor here if you are knowledgeable.
470  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will finally win the Blockchain competition; USA or China? on: November 04, 2018, 02:11:05 PM
What do you mean when. You say who will win? I think it is quite misleading because no one can win blockchain. Maybe you are talking about who will take lead. Well,  first and foremost, they do not really need to compete with it because it is not the thing that need to compete with. They can actually cooperate with each other. But if you insist that removing that variable, I think on a long run china can take the lead. China is more intelligent and more aggressive with these types of situations. But I know United States will not also want to lose it to China and will do also its best to take the lead.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China can destroy bitcoin on: November 04, 2018, 01:55:00 PM
very interesting when we hear that academics from Princeton University and academics from the University of Florida have concluded that China has the potential to threaten stability, internet infrastructure, security and bitcoin development.

in the world of mining, China dominates using ASIC vendors. China controls mining hashrate, so they affect the bitcoin protocol.

Is there a solution to stop that potency  ?
I think China can actually do that but I don't think they will do it. It is not because they want to assert more superior power in terms of economy when it is compared to United States but I don't think they will do it simply because it is not worth it after all. It will cost them a lot to destroy bitcoin, and china is not just one entity but composoint of billion of persons and this people would have many opinions about if they will destroy bitcoin. So I am surely disagree that there will be come a time that they will destroy it because they will not take the risk just for them to assert supremacy because they can do it on other things.
472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you send bitcoins to Satoshi, if you know his Bitcoin address? on: November 04, 2018, 01:28:02 PM
It is really an impossible thing to happen but I will try to be in that situation. I will not send any amount of bitcoin in that fictional address on an arguably fictional character. It is for the reason that I am not that rich when it come sit bitcoin or I am not that old here or that triumphant one. I am just new to these kind of environment but if I am that successful one,  I might send some. Why?  It is because his invention brings many things for people like us here. His invention lead to an another type of technology. So yes,  I might send some.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin does not have limited supply on: November 04, 2018, 12:51:20 PM
No you are wrong on all of your points. Bitcoin has a finite source only,  I think that is a common knowledge everyone must know and as we all know (or we must know),  it is only contain to 21 million. When we are talking about forking, it does not really alter or change the amount of coins we have. You have justified crested an altcoin that have different rules and etcetera that will compete to the market but it does not really creates new because again, it is actually based on bitcoin. So I do not really believe on your point because these thing is actually must be a common knowledge for people like us.
474  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin and global warming on: November 04, 2018, 12:16:39 PM
I think you have some point especially on the side of electricity because yes,  it is rePpy MN really indeed costly in terms of electricity because of the mining industries that consume a vast amount of electricity. More and more mining industries means more are more users of electricity that can be a contributor to global warming. Yes it is right that for now,  it is not yet a problem because there are not yet too many mining industries but when we reach that point,  maybe that is the time that we can make a solution and even that is the case, we know that is really very hard for us to make a move because there is no really a governing body here that can govern all bitcoin traders and users. So this is really a hard problem to deal with.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holders being taxed in India on: November 04, 2018, 10:12:35 AM
I think this is a hoax. I never seen this kind of news before anywhere and I think this will never be true,as from what I know and what we all know.  We all know what the nature of bitcoin is. It is a decentralized currency and one of the reason it was created is die it to be a very convenient way in a transaction method and one of its features is it is tax free. So it is very impossible for me for bitcoin to be taxed.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think only the rich can make profit from Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2018, 08:05:52 AM
Well obviously, it doesn't require you to be reach for you to earn profit here in this type of business. Actually, in all types of businesses, you do not need to be rich for you to start, you only needed patience, smart and gumptious. You must be able to know to find out capital for you to start just like here and it is now up to you what to do. Take every opportunities that you know will make you benefit from it, and do not be afraid of risking if you know an action can lead you to something.
477  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of news circulating for Bitcoin prices on: November 03, 2018, 12:35:57 AM
I am a little doubtful that what I wrote is worth it or not, but this always comes to my mind and wants to ask this,
I have read several topics here that the drop in Bitcoin prices sometimes occurs because investors experience panic and sell their assets after reading the bad news circulating, and here I have thoughts what if a crypto community has the intention to raise the price of Bitcoin and other crypto by spreading the good news about bitcoin and also introducing bitcoin and its usefulness to the wider community?
Will it help to increase Bitcoin prices?
Well, for old investors, I think these type of news didn't really affect them considering their experiences it is because they know that these things are normal for anyone in these kind of ventures. But for the new or future investors, it will really affect them. Why? It is because they heavily rely on the news that are circulating because again, they are new to this and they rely on the news what are they going to do. So yes, if good news circulates like what you want to do, it can increase the value of bitcoin because it is more likely that more investors will invest because of what they heard from the news.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan just gave its cryptocurrency industry legal power to police itself on: October 28, 2018, 03:51:38 PM
Japan is very amazing country? Th3y are very fast that they are always ahead she their actions are very futuristic and hall have reason. I hope this kind of newsnwill be growing so that cryptocurrency will grow not just in Japan but to the entire digital world. I will not be wrong about them because Japanese are the one who always wows rh3 wo4lr when it comes to their creativity. I hope they can upgrade bitcoin that will make it inevitable to change the local money to digital money.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheers; and congratulations to all bitcoin traders on: October 28, 2018, 02:04:17 PM
If all what you have mentioned is right, then it is indeed a very good news. Considering that it's been a while and so much time for bitcoin to stay in a low price or value compare to last year's value where it brought some or the traders so much negativities. I hope that this will be continued so that the market can gradually go back to its old but very good state. We all hope for a better future so we hope there are more good news like these will come after several days. Hopefully.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption for better life in future . on: October 28, 2018, 01:52:55 PM
Well, every one want to be a millionaire, this is the dream of everyone, no harm in it. Henry Ford did not make a conveyor for the man he did to produce cheaper cars.Innovations come from attempts to bypass competition and win.
Although this is partly our own mistake. You can not always blame others. For example, I mentioned that we can not spend bitcoin to buy what you want. The question is, did we really see if it's impossible to buy this thing using bitcoins or are you making a guess? Because I've seen a lot of people who just assumed they can not afford to waste their time, but they could.but also we know bitcoin adoption as a currency is not yet great,, is also part of our error. For example, how many times have you asked the seller you are using bitcoin? We need to start with ourselves and insist on acceptance, and then expect others to follow

This is the dream of many pioneers and enthusiasts for ,long run, , but  it will be near-impossible to get the coin into the
mainstream economy short-term,but with time it adoption will increase.Even I, who started late in the game , wanted to see the Bitcoin as a currency of work, and not just some speculative assets.
Well, this is what you called innovation. This is why technology exist. When you define technology, you will know its purpose. It is because technology enthusiasts and pioneers wants something new and yes, maybe some of them only wants to earn money but it is already given, their main goal is to make something that will make our lives easier. And that is why bitcoin exist. For me it is the one that will replace paper money. Not overyhyping but for me it really is.  Just imagine how cheap the transaction fee is.
