41  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin ang future shitcoin ayon Kay Mcafee on: February 08, 2020, 09:30:07 AM
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 06, 2020, 08:05:25 AM
Well it gives me the privilege to be more knowledgeable when it comes to technological advancement compared to other people at my age who doesn't have any idea about blockchain and cryptocurrency. Bitcoin helped me to be aware of certain things like this and any other related things. Aside from that, I learned to be versatile and earn money even at young age. I can already provide myself what I want and that makes me proud of it. I don't have to totally depend on my parents about everything because I can also help them with the expenses. And I know this knowledge I have can help me in the future when I started working on the real world
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Regularization in Different Countries on: February 06, 2020, 06:00:51 AM
10 years isn't enough to convince every country to accept and legalized cryptocurrency. We see it as a long time already but in fact, it isn't. It will take time before most country will finally accept digital currency because fiat is doing well and changing from traditional to digital isn't easy for everyone. And not most country are against crypto. Most country still doesn't have rules and regulations or law about cryptocurrency but it doesn't mean they are against it. The type of government also affects crypto acceptance. But most country, like mine doesn't have law but were not also strict when it comes to using cryptocurrency.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON CHINA ECONOMY on: February 06, 2020, 05:02:59 AM
This virus somehow affects China's economy. Foreigners will be afraid to travel to China and some country are banning flights from and to China and it can affect their economy since tourism is a factor that helps a country to grow their economy, including their exports. But since their country is one of the strongest among all, they can easily recover from it. So it won't drastically drag their economy down. I think their research and development can find solution for this virus outbreak.

As for crypto, it won't give much impact to the market unless people would be panicking. It's the China's economy that will be affected by this but not totally crypto.

46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A clue on how to make them see that bitcoin isn't a scam on: February 02, 2020, 01:07:08 PM
That could work but the question is, are they really interested in Bitcoin? That's easy to say but that's not enough to convince them not to be afraid of Bitcoin. Because they still know that there's a lot of scammer in crypto. I think that's what they are afraid of. It's hard to convince others if they don't want to be convinced.

Actually what you have said is a good point to argue with them. But that won't make them trust Bitcoin as well. It will just help them realize that it's not Bitcoin that is a scam, it's a person.
47  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why new crypto enthusiasts have to repeat losses by scammers again? on: January 31, 2020, 10:01:50 AM
But scammers are getting smarter day by day. Their tricks of scamming innocent people are improving. Even if we keep on sharing our own experience and knowledge, we can't stop all newbie from getting scammed. What we're sharing is a precaution to them but even though we are aware of scams running in cryptocurrency, once we also got scammed. Since they are newbies, not everyone can easily understand everything they'll be reading here in the forum. That's why experience is the best teacher. Once they have experienced getting scammed, it makes them more careful dealing with their money.
I know we can learn a lot here in the forum but sometimes scammers are really being tricky that you'll end up believing because it looks real.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So a bitcoin scam has been getting a lot of publicity in the Philippines lately on: January 30, 2020, 01:41:48 PM
In general, there's a lot of scammer in the Philippines. Filipinos are taking advantage of the weakness of other Filipinos as well. Filipinos easily believe on what they are seeing without doing further research that's why there's a lot of fake news spreading in my country. And one of that is this kind of scam. When it comes to earning money, they believe almost everything. And it's the reason why they are using famous names to make it more believable for others.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee called BITCOIN as a Shitcoin! on: January 30, 2020, 12:21:20 PM
This just shows that he is a man without a word. After giving prediction about the price of bitcoin, even making a promise but now his eating his own words instead of preparing how to eat his own dick, by saying Bitcoin is a shitcoin. He is just like any other people who likes getting attention. Though I don't really want to give my attention to John McAfee because it's obviously a waste of time. He's no worthy of our time.
50  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over $9000! on: January 28, 2020, 02:00:35 PM
We're all happy with this news but let's not get too hyped because it can still go back to the range $8k. But if this will continue, I hope it will stay longer at $9k. It's just a start of the year and a lot of unwanted things already happened that some of it also affected the price of bitcoin. But I hope in the next coming months, it will be a good time for Bitcoin without any bad happenings around the world.
51  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Posting on BitcoinTalk: how do I know when my post is "too long"? on: January 27, 2020, 02:38:51 PM
It's okay to have a longer posts as long as you're explaining your side and it all make sense. That's fine. Don't worry much about how long you post is, because there's always someone who will read your posts no matter how long it is.
It's not about the length, it's about the point you're trying to say.  But if you really find your post very long, then summarize it. Remove the unnecessary and not that important part. But for me, the longer the post you have, the more you have something to say which is good compared to only give one-line opinion that is not very helpful.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Crypto Vs Corona Virus on: January 27, 2020, 01:39:10 PM
The economy of China will only be affected until this virus got solved. But the thing is, it's not a major impact to their economy. The virus isn't just for Chinese people, it can also be spread out with different countries. So precaution is really needed. And the celebration of Chinese New Year got stopped to prevent spreading virus more. However, cryptocurrency doesn't have anything to do with this Corona virus. It won't affect the market big time. And Chinese people won't think of their asset when they're already struggling with their health security.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Held a bitcoin seminar today on: January 26, 2020, 10:35:16 AM
one day bitcoin will be recognized by itself even without being promoted, in the social media group that I joined, almost nobody even promoted the introduction of bitcoin, but its members continue to grow, but if anyone wants to promote bitcoin, maybe bitcoin will develop faster.
Personal teaching is still better than just what you see in social media. Social media can be deceiving. That's where most scammers can be found. Personal teaching, is much better since you can interact, ask questions, and you know who the person is speaking unlike with socmed, you don't know the person. People don't easily believe with just a simple promotion in social media. There's a barrier when you're just learning in front of your computers than learning with the person teaching you face to face.

Btw, I really admire you op for that. Not everyone will give time to teach and conduct seminars for others. So continue doing what you're doing. And I hope more people will learn and discover bitcoin because of you
54  Other / Meta / Re: How I can Increase Ranking on: January 26, 2020, 08:46:52 AM
Give quality on your post. Quality in terms that it can help others, and can contribute to the forum. Giving merits also depends on each person who will be giving merits. If they find your post deserving to have merit, then that can give you merit. So it's not only about the knowledge you have, you should also be humble to everyone here in the forum. A lot of people here are kind when giving merits. All you have to do is to make sure that you deserves to be given a merit. It's an individual preferences why they give merits but most of the time it's on the quality.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: Corona Virus will Impact the price of Bitcoin ? on: January 26, 2020, 07:16:33 AM
I've seen almost the same question a while ago. And Corona virus has nothing to do with the price of Bitcoin and it won't affect it in the future. A health crisis won't affect Bitcoin. China is doing their best to make actions with their problems. I know it's a scary virus because it can easily be spread with different people you meet in the public but why would it even affect bitcoin? Health is different from the economy so it's hard to relate them. Does investing in Bitcoin can help them be safe from the virus?
56  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Would a crisis in general would affect crypto adaptation ? on: January 26, 2020, 05:27:30 AM
And yung sa issue ng Iran and US, nakaapekto sya kasi pwede magdulot Yun ng economic crisis which is maaapektuhan talaga ang financial status. Kumbaga may effect lang sya sa cryptocurrency kung economic or financial crisis ang usapan. Pero yung sa health related na issue, mukhang mahirap iconnect.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do they accept bitcoin in your country embassy? on: January 26, 2020, 03:36:03 AM
My country is welcoming cryptocurrency. We can pay different bills using crypro and now has more than 10 approved crypto exchange to operate. But when you mean embassy, I don't think so. Since cryptocurrency is not legal yet, a government sector wouldn't accept cryptocurrency payments. We only have one legal tender so it wouldn't make sense if they'll be accepting crypto when they are from the government unless crypto has finally been legalized.
58  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why now using merit? on: January 25, 2020, 05:06:09 PM
It looks as if you were a user of Bitcoin, and dropped out. Now you have returned to the fold. It would be interesting to know why you have had this change of heart, and I'm sure that discussions like this would soon earn you some merit.
Indeed. It's interesting to know what made him go back. He stopped posting mid 2018 until 2019. Then he started coming back this year. However OP's previous posts were so short and lacks quality.
Since op isn't familiar with the merit system, it's just about giving and receiving merits when they feel like you have a quality posts that have sense and is helpful in the forum. So if you want to be active again, you have to work on giving quality posts.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Today is the first day of notorious Korea/Japan/China new year on: January 25, 2020, 04:31:28 PM
It doesn't only happens during Chinese New Year. I guess it's already a part of Asian culture when every occasion, your relatives and family will celebrate the holidays and then they would keep on telling you thing like getting married and etc. They'll be also expecting that you have a lot of money since you're already working. Well that one is kinda toxic. They keep minding your life.
We can't change that our families always spend money during special occasion, that's culture and during Chinese New Year there's a lot of beliefs that you should do this and that to welcome the luck.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Digital currency of Banks can replace the Bitcoin? What is your opinion? on: January 25, 2020, 02:45:39 PM
No. Even if different banks will create their own digital currency, will you change from Bitcoin to that centralized digital currency? Because if not, then it's not a problem. If people choose to remain with Bitcoin even if there is a lot of bank issuing their own digital currency, it can't replace Bitcoin as long as we remain with Bitcoin. It's our own choice what to choose. If they aren't prohibiting Bitcoin, they can't replace bitcoin.
